Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi game yang pesat dan ekstensif merupakan bukti evolusi terus-menerus dalam teknologi dan pengetahuan. Kemajuan ini membawa tantangan dan kesenangan bagi para penggemar game, terutama mereka yang setia pada PlayStation. Meningkatnya komunitas penggemar game telah membangkitkan minat para peneliti untuk mengeksplorasi nilai-nilai bersama di antara para gamer, khususnya dalam lingkungan persewaan, di mana pengalaman pembelian berfungsi sebagai titik fokus penelitian. Dengan menggunakan metodologi kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi, penelitian ini menggali persepsi dan tanggapan delapan responden melalui observasi dan wawancara. Para responden ini, yang merupakan para gamer, menunjukkan spektrum nilai yang terkait dengan bermain game di tempat persewaan, yang secara kolektif membentuk budaya tempat tersebut. Nilai-nilai bersama tersebut di antaranya adalah pemanfaatan PlayStation sebagai sarana relaksasi dan interaksi sosial, kepraktisan rental game dari segi aksesibilitas, serta penanaman rasa persahabatan yang kuat melalui permainan komunal. Selain itu, game berfungsi sebagai alat pendidikan, mengasah bahasa, strategi, dan keterampilan kerja tim. Yang terpenting, lingkungan persewaan memupuk peluang untuk menjalin persahabatan dan koneksi baru dalam komunitas game. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi sifat budaya permainan yang beragam, menyoroti dimensi sosial, praktis, dan pendidikan dalam konteks ruang sewa.

Abstract

Cirebon's Lautze 3 Mosque, standing firmly in the middle of Cirebon's Chinatown, West Java, is a silent witness to the inspiring story of Islamic preaching among ethnic Chinese. Founded in 2022, this mosque has become a spiritual oasis for the Chinese Muslim community in the area, led by mosque administrators who have a unique background: ethnic Chinese converts. Their story is clear proof that Islamic preaching has no limits. Their experience as converts allowed them to bridge cultural gaps and build trust with non-Muslim Chinese communities. This da'wah approach that is sensitive to culture and community needs is the key to their success in spreading Islam in Cirebon's Chinatown environment. More than just a place of worship, the Lautze 3 Cirebon Mosque has become a community and missionary center for Chinese Muslims in Cirebon. His presence is a symbol of tolerance and unity amidst cultural and ethnic diversity. The inspiring story of the mosque administrators is a reminder for all of us that Islamic da'wah must be carried out with love, understanding and respect for local culture and traditions. Mosque administrators can be more effective in developing da'wah strategies that benefit both parties, as well as building harmonious and mutually beneficial relationships between the Muslim and Chinese communities in Chinatown.

Abstract

This ethnography study examines the cultural and social beliefs of junior programmers, with a particular focus on their beliefs and values related to speed in completing tasks. The study draws on data from interviews with a group of junior programmers, as well as observations of their work practices. The findings of the study suggest that junior programmers operate within a complex cultural and social environment that shapes their beliefs about speed. On the one hand, junior programmers are often under pressure to complete tasks quickly, both from themselves and from their peers and supervisors. This pressure can be driven by a number of factors, including the fast-paced nature of the software industry, the competitive job market, and the desire to prove themselves. On the other hand, junior programmers also value quality work and want to produce code that is well-written and bug-free. This can sometimes lead to a conflict between speed and quality, as junior programmers may feel pressured to sacrifice quality in order to meet deadlines. The study also finds that junior programmers' beliefs about speed are influenced by their social and cultural backgrounds. For example, junior programmers from cultures that value hard work and dedication may be more likely to prioritize speed over quality. Similarly, junior programmers who come from competitive environments may be more likely to feel pressure to work quickly. The study concludes by discussing the implications of these findings for both junior programmers and the software industry. For junior programmers, the study highlights the importance of developing strategies for balancing the pressure to complete tasks quickly with the need to produce high-quality work. For the software industry, the study suggests a need to create a culture that values both speed and quality, and that supports junior programmers in developing healthy and sustainable work habits.

Abstract

Social media has become an important part of people's lives, including employees in the workplace. This research aims to examine employee perceptions regarding the influencing factors of social media to support work productivity. This research uses a Grounded Theory approach with in-depth interview methods with 5 employees at a private company in Jakarta. The research population is employees at the company, while the research sample is 5 employees selected purposively. The research results show that there are three factors influencing social media to support work productivity, namely motivation factors, information factors and interaction factors. Motivational factors include motivation to work better, motivation to learn new things, and motivation to socialize with coworkers. Motivation to work better is influenced by information obtained from social media, while motivation to learn new things and socialize with colleagues is influenced by interactions carried out via social media. Information factors include faster and more accurate access to information, and ease of communicating with colleagues. Faster and more accurate access to information can increase employee work productivity, while ease in communicating with colleagues can increase employee collaboration and creativity. Interaction factors include increased collaboration between employees, and increased creativity and innovation. Increasing collaboration between employees can increase work productivity, while increasing creativity and innovation can improve the quality of employee work. The results of this research can be used by organizations to develop strategies for effective use of social media to increase employee work productivity.

Abstract

Technological developments have affected the social behaviour of society, the existence of technological advances is marked by the emergence of revolutions 1.0 to 4.0 which is one of the factors that greatly affects the pattern of life. Revolution 4.0 produces an assumption that the industrial revolution is not only disrupting the technological field, but has penetrated the social, economic and legal fields, and to deal with disruption due to the industrial revolution, it is necessary to have a humanities study that will monitor technological progress in order to remain in the prevailing humanitarian norms (Mumtaha & Khoiri, 2019).. The industry is constantly changing and developing rapidly. Technology and Information is the most important point in today's industrial world. Companies are required to move quickly and provide innovations to adjust to this. one of the industries that is developing in accordance with technology is digital wallet (e-wallet). With technology is a digital wallet (e-wallet). The emergence of digital wallets as a means of payment online transactions that are easy and practical have made many Indonesians start switching to using the application. The application has increased the number of users every year The rapid growth with various advantages provided makes it easy to transact without using physical money and provides a sense of security in the transaction process. The value of digital payment transactions also grows from year to year, considering the growth of new MSMEs and the development of technology and social media makes the need for transactions. This research uses qualitative techniques with a grounded theory approach. The author conducted direct interviews with several business people and buyers in the food and beverage sector in the month of Ramadan to find out the effect of electronic money in increasing transactions. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the coding scheme consisted of 8 codes that formed 4 categories and gave rise to 3 themes with a total frequency of 8. The highest frequency in coding was 5 on the theme of socialisation constraints and 2 on the theme of network constraints, the last was 1 on the theme of complicated transactions so that the factors that cause the non-use of digital wallets in buying and selling transactions in business actors in the MSME sector in East Kalimantan, especially East Kutai district, are socialisation constraints in increasing transaction volumes in a number of MSMEs that continue to grow.

Abstract

Bulan suci Ramadhan di Indonesia identik dengan tradisi berbuka puasa bersama. Fenomena menarik akan muncul di tahun 2024, dimana restoran All You Can Eat (AYCE) di Jakarta akan mengalami lonjakan pesanan dan seringkali sudah penuh dipesan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami fenomena tersebut dengan menggunakan Grounded Theory. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi kasus pada delapan pengunjung restoran AYCE di Jakarta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap pelanggan restoran sebagai responden. Penelitian ini menemukan beberapa faktor yang mendorong terjadinya fenomena full booking restoran AYCE di Jakarta pada bulan Ramadhan, yaitu: Pelanggan percaya bahwa AYCE memberikan pelayanan terbaik untuk harga yang ditawarkan, apalagi dengan variasi makanan yang banyak dan harga yang relatif terjangkau, Bulan Ramadhan merupakan momen penting untuk menjalin silaturahmi dan mempererat hubungan sosial. Restoran AYCE merupakan tempat ideal untuk berkumpul dan berbuka puasa. Bersama-sama, restoran AYCE menawarkan pengalaman bersantap yang berbeda dari restoran biasa, dengan konsep All You Can Eat dan variasi makanan yang menarik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan skema pengkodean yang terdiri dari 18 kode yang membentuk 4 kategori dan memunculkan 4 tema dengan jumlah frekuensi sebanyak 18. Frekuensi tertinggi (11) pada kode pelayanan yang diberikan restoran memuaskan, frekuensi tertinggi kedua (5) pada kode kebersamaan dan frekuensi tertinggi ketiga (4) pada kode variasi menu, dan kode yang terakhir adalah konsekuensi (1), sehingga faktor tersebut mempengaruhi minat pengunjung untuk memesan tempat di restoran All You Can Eat untuk berbuka puasa di bulan ramadhan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi perubahan kinerja keuangan di industri batubara Indonesia dengan fokus pada merger dan akuisisi. Data diambil dari 20 perusahaan subsektor pertambangan batu bara yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada periode Desember 2022 hingga Desember 2023. Metode cluster K-Means kuantitatif digunakan untuk mengelompokkan kinerja penjualan dan empat rasio keuangan utama: Debt to Equity (D/E), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), dan Net Profit Margin (NPM). Hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan kinerja keuangan yang signifikan untuk perusahaan-perusahaan seperti ABM Investama Tbk dan Bumi Resources Tbk, yang merupakan calon pengakuisisi utama. Sementara itu, tujuh perusahaan lainnya, termasuk Akbar Indo Makmur Stimec Tbk dan Atlas Resources Tbk, menunjukkan penurunan kinerja yang signifikan, sehingga menjadi kandidat yang layak untuk diakuisisi. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya merger dan akuisisi sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan daya saing di pasar batubara Indonesia.

Abstract

The Korean Wave, or the cultural wave originating from Korea, became a significant phenomenon in Indonesia in the recent years. Its popularity, especially among the youth, surged alongside the emergence of Korean dramas and K-Pop music. Given this phenomenon, the researchers were interested in examining how the Korean Wave influences shared lifestyle and fashion choices of the young people, particularly in Jakarta, one of the cities with the largest K-Pop fan base in Indonesia. This study employed a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. The data were collected through observations and interviews with five respondents who are K-Pop and Korean Drama enthusiasts in Jakarta. The findings indicate that although each respondent has a unique styles and preferences, they share similar preferences in lifestyle and fashion due to the influence of the Korean Wave, such as get highly motivated, be more expressive, more realistic, and more confident. This influence is supported by the dissemination of information related to Korean lifestyle and fashion through social media.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai kinerja keuangan perusahaan - perusahaan transportasi & logistik pasca pandemi Covid 19 (tahun 2022 & 2023). Proses penilaian kinerja suatu perusahaan dapat dilihat dari rasio keuangan perusahaan, diantaranya adalah rasio profitabilitas dan rasio solvabilitas. Rasio keuangan yang digunakan adalah Return on Asset (ROA), Return of Equity (ROE), Net Profit Margin (NPM) dan Debt to Equity Ratio (DER). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis k-means clustering. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder dengan unit observasi sebanyak 19 perusahaan yang tergabung dalam Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) yang sudah memenuhi syarat dan kriteria. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beberapa temuan menarik, yaitu: pada Tahun 2022: mayoritas perusahaan (63%) masih terpaku di zona Cukup (D), mencerminkan dampak pandemi di 2020 & 2021 serta berbagai gejolak ekonomi global. Dan pada Tahun 2023: Hanya 1 perusahaan, yaitu PT Hasnur Internasional Shipping Tbk (Kode: HAIS), yang mencapai puncak performa dengan predikat Sangat Baik (A). Terjadi peningkatan signifikan jumlah perusahaan yang mencapai kinerja Baik (B), melonjak dari 1 menjadi 3 perusahaan. Di sisi lain, 9 perusahaan lainnya mengalami penurunan, dan 6 perusahaan stagnan.

Abstract

Employee discipline is an important factor in achieving organizational performance. Disciplined employees will comply with regulations, complete tasks on time, and show a professional attitude at work. Low employee discipline can have a negative impact on organizational performance, such as decreasing productivity, service quality and organizational image. Discipline is something that can be used as a benchmark to determine whether the functions of human resource management or leadership as a whole have been carried out well or not. This research aims to determine the factors that contribute to the low level of employee discipline at the UPTD KPHP Dharmasraya Forest Service of West Sumatra Province. The research method used is qualitative research with a Grounded Theory approach. The results of this research state that. factors that contribute to the low level of employee discipline at the UPTD KPHP Dharmasraya West Sumatra Province Forestry Service, ethical awareness, socio-economic impacts, reward and punishment systems, HRD policies and mental health.
