Abstract

Liquid smoke is a condensate liquid from the pyrolysis of coconut shells which contains the main constituent compounds of acids, phenols, and carbonyls, so it is widely applied as a natural preservative in food and provides sensory characteristics in the form of aroma, colour, and a distinctive taste in food products and as an anti-bacterial. The research objective was to design, manufacture, and test the liquid smoke distillation apparatus. The method used in this research is an experimental method where the activities carried out include designing, making, and testing. The result is that the furnace is made based on the results of the initial design with a height of 61 cm, width 41 cm and length 41 cm. The top of the furnace is conical with a cone height of 34 cm. The condenser tube is rectangular in shape with a width of 40.5 cm, length 40.5 cm and a height of 60.5 cm. the condenser tube serves to accommodate water which is used as a cooling medium. The inside of the condenser tube contains ¾ inch pipe which is formed into a rectangular spiral into 5 stacks. The pipe functions to flow the smoke from the combustion products from the gas phase into a liquid by cooling it with water as a medium. the manufacture of the liquid smoke distillation device has been carried out by the design, but there are some minor changes in the process of making the distillation device. Tests are carried out using raw materials, namely coconut shells and coconut fibers as fuel. Tests carried out with variations in the time and volume of liquid smoke generated from the distillation device. The test results from the liquid smoke distillation tool obtained 400 ml of liquid smoke from the distillation in 2 hours

Abstract

Cloves are one of the leading agricultural commodities in North Maluku. The main product of the clove plant is clove flower. The clove flowers used in the production of kretek are dried cloves. Drying clove flowers can be done in two ways, first traditionally by drying them in the hot sun directly, and second by using an artificial dryer. Drying by drying directly in the sun or traditionally has several weaknesses, namely dependence on the weather, causing damage to clove flowers due to too long drying and the need for a large area for drying. The purpose of this research is to design and manufacture a clove dryer equipped with a biomass furnace as a heat source. The research method that will be carried out in this research is experimental research, by designing and building a clove dryer equipped with a biomass furnace as a heat source. The result is a clove dryer with dimensions of 120 cm long, 80 cm wide and 80 cm high. clove dryer equipped with 3 shelves with a distance of 20 cm between the racks. The clove dryer test results show that the time required to dry 18 kg of wet cloves is 13 hours with temperatures in the drying room 49 ℃ to 55 ℃.

Abstract

This research aims to create a polycrystalline type solar panel design with a capacity of 100 Wp which is portable (foldable and easy to carry everywhere) and can rotate following the direction of the sun. Solar panels designed are made of Hollow Cm Iron, 1.2 mm Plate Iron, 1.2 mm-2 Inch Stainless Pipe where for solar panel support poles designed with a model can be folded and can rotate 360 degrees so that it can follow the direction of sunlight radiation. The support pole can also be slid up and down where there are 2 scrups that can withstand the shift up and down the support pole.As for the solar panel holder, the design is made by installing hinges and bolts so that the solar panels can be folded and can be tilted following the direction of the sun's rotation. The results of the three-day test in a row from 09-00 to 16-00 WIT, the highest electrical capacity generated by solar panels is between 11:00 – 14:00 WIT on average —an average of 20 V with a solar controller charger output voltage of 19.9 V. The angle of inclination of the solar panel and the direction of the sun rotates following the direction of the sun's rotation

Abstract

Smoked fish is a fish processing product that is very popular with consumers in Indonesia. Smoked fish production in Indonesia, especially in Weda District, Central Halmahera District, still has various problems in the production process because the tools used in daily smoked fish production are still conventional. PKM activity partner is one of the smoked fish home industries located in Weda District, Central Halmahera. Conventional smoking tools are only made of wood and racks made of bamboo and are still open so that the efficiency of smoke for smoking fish is less than optimal. Therefore, through PKM Kubermas, it will be carried out to replace conventional fish smoking equipment owned by partners with cabinet-type smoking equipment to increase production yields. The service implementation process is divided into 7 stages, namely the preparation stage, socialization, making tools, socializing the use of tools, mentoring and evaluation. The results achieved are the dimensions of the smoked fish equipment made with dimensions of length 120 cm, width 80 cm and height 200 cm, while the time required for smoked fish production is more efficient, namely 2 to 3 hours in one production. It uses less fuel at one time because the smoker is closed.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini sebagai bentuk pemberdayaan Masyarakat desa dan  kepedulian terhadap nelayan dalam meningkatkan ekonomi mereka, dimana metode yang dilakukan dengan pelatihan pengolahan ikan, pembuatan kemasan, desain, dan proses produksi ikan dalam kemasan  bagi masyarkat di desa toniku. Adapun hasil pengabdian telah terlaksana proses pelatihan pada indistri rumahan “SARINA”, pemberian bantuan kemasan dengan merek “Ikan Teri Khas Tonuki, Sarina Toniku” dan proses pengemasan telah di laksanakan sehingga produk ikan teri kemasan siap untuk di pasarkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi kimia dan kecepatan kemiringan cetakan tilt casting terhadap struktur mikro paduan Al-Si-Cu. Temperatur tuang yang digunakan 710 °C dan temperatur cetakan 220 °C. Paduan dilebur  dalam dapur krusibel untuk memperoleh empat variasi komposisi paduan Al-Si-Cu. Logam cair dipindahkan dari furnace ke wadah tuang yang menempel pada cetakan dengan posisi horisontal. Cetakan dimiringkan sampai posisi vertikal untuk menuang logam cair masuk kedalam cetakan dengan variasi kecepatan kemiringan cetakan 9, 12, dan 15 °/detik. Logam cair didiamkan sampai membeku. Hasil pengujian komposisi kimia diperoleh empat variasi paduan yaitu 1,17% Cu, 1,65% Cu, 2,14% Cu, dan 2,76% Cu. Pengamatan struktur mikro dilakukan pada keseluruan produk cor dengan kecepatan kemiringan cetakan 9, 12,dan 15°/ detik. Penumpukan segregasi paduan silikon terlihat dengan warna kehitam-hitaman. Struktur terdiri dari matriks Al (putih), jaringan interdendritik silikon eutektik (abu-abu gelap,tajam), Cu;Mg-Si-Al (abu-abu terang), dan Fe;Si-Al (abu-abu sedang). Abstract

This community service program aims to empower and train the community in Toniku Village about processing anchovies and salted fish that are clean and hygienic in terms of health, providing solutions on how to process fish drying quickly with modern methods. The target of the implementation of this program is the entire fishing community, both those who have fishing boats and fish rompon as well as labor fishermen as an effort to improve the standard of life of fishermen both economically, socio-culturally and in improving the field of knowledge (education), in order to further develop anchovy production. quality and fast drying time of fish. The results of the implementation of this program are that there are 3 recommendations for improvement, including; The fish drying method uses traditional methods and the drying process is too long, so a fish drying device design and an anchovy size filter are needed which is done manually with a sieve, so it is necessary to design an anchovy size filter to assist fishermen.

Abstract

This corona virus vaccination educational video aims to provide correct information to the public and the importance of vaccination to prevent the spread of the corona virus. The educational video will also contain information on the types of covid 19 vaccines that have been and will be imported by the government of the Republic of Indonesia, the stages of vaccination and the number of vaccines to be given as well as the HALAL certification that has been given by the MUI. The making of this video itself is carried out in several stages, including making a video script that will be taken where at this stage a script or video capture flow will be made, determining the artist who will be included in the video and the location for taking the video. The next stage is Video Capture where several videos will be taken such as; a. Video retrieval of lecturers' vaccination process, b. Taking an explanatory video about Vaccination c. Video taking of the invitation to the Covid 19 vaccination and the taking of videos of people who have vaccinated against Covid 19. Abstract

The potential use of renewable energy in Bangkit Rahmat Village from the results of a Kubermas student survey is there are 3 points of water sources that can be used as Micro Hydro power plants. From these three water sources, the location selected according to several aspects, including: Location or closest distance to residential areas, water discharge and head height, availability of technology application data, sustainability or MHP maintenance. The selection of the location for the implementation of the PLTMH implementation is in Hamlet II which is close to the source of the waterfall. The implementation of the MHP is carried out in several stages, including: making a reservoir, installing pipe installations and testing the power generated by the turbine using 3 LED lights. For the measurement of the water discharge, it was obtained 0.039 m3/second, the water head height was 2.5 meters and the water height hitting the blade of the wheel was 0.7 meters. From the results of testing the rotation on the wheel obtained is 70 rpm. With an efficiency of 57.07%, the hydraulic power produced by the windmill is 469.26 W. From the results of the calculations, the test, the turbine applied can use a generator with a capacity of up to 12 Kilo Watts, but as a material for the initial stages of implementation of the trial service, the generator used will be used is a generator with a capacity of 3 Kilo Watt.  Keywords: Microhydro power plant, Kubermas UNKHAIR, Bangkit Rahmat Village.

Abstract

Washing hands is a simple thing, but has a very important role in everyday life. The sink system is designed to meet these needs. The sink system consists of a water faucet, and soap. The sink system has begun to be widely used in homes, schools, campuses, offices, industry and other places. This service aims to design and make automatic hand washing wasaffles so that it is hoped that it can make hand washing activities easier and more practical. Users no longer need to turn the water tap and pick up soap, just by placing their hands in a certain position, the water and liquid soap will come out automatically. The results of the implementation of the activities are the process of assembly, installation and delivery. The PKM team also conducted socialization on the use of tools to users, namely the Chasan Bosoeri Ternate Hospital. Reporting and publication is carried out after each stage has been completed. The published articles are published in the LPPM journal, Khairun University.
