Abstract

Tingkat pendidikan orangtua secara teori turut serta mempengaruhi kemampuan peserta didik dalam memahami konsep fisika, dimana pendidikan orangtua menjadi pendorong bagi anak untuk belajar lebih giat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh tingkat pendidikan orangtua terhadap pemahaman konsep fisika siswa di sekolah menengah yang ada di Kecamatan Kontukowuna Kabupaten Muna. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Dari hasil analisis data dengan menggunakan uji t persamaan regresi menunjukan bahwa tingkat pendidikan orangtua siswa memiliki pengaruh yang sangat signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep fisika yaitu sebesar 77,4% di SMAN 1 Kontukowuna dan di SMPN 1 Kontukowuna besar pengaruhnya yaitu 88,9%. Dengan hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh tingkat pendidikan orangtua siswa terhadap pemahaman konsep fisika siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelemahan kemampuan matematis mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris IPA Institut Agama Islam Negeri Ambon yang memprogramkan mata kuliah Mekanika. Kemampuan matematis yang dianalisis merupakan kemampuan dasar matematis berupa penjumlahan, pengurangan, perkalian, pembagian dan operasi pecahan. Semua kemampuan tersebut adalah kemampuan dasar matematis yang sangat dibutuhkan untuk menunjang mahasiswa meraih hasil belajar yang maksimal pada mata kuliah mekanika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang berupaya untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan dan kelemahan kemampuan dasar matematis mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal matematika dasar. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa semester III (tiga) Tahun Akademik 2021/2022 Program Studi Tadris IPA Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan Institut Agama Islam Negeri Ambon yang mengambil mata kuliah Mekanika. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti mengumpulkan informasi mengenai kemampuan dasar matematis melalui wawancara dan beberapa soal tes tulis dan lisan mengenai penjumlahan, pengurangan, perkalian, pembagian dan operasi pecahan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan pedoman wawancara. Kemampuan matematis mahasiswa dilihat berdasarkan kesalahan dan kecepatan dalam menyelesaikan dan menjawab tes. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan dasar matematis mahasiswa masih berada pada kategori kurang dan lambat dalam melakukan operasi perkalian, pembagian, pecahan dan persamaan linear satu variabel.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the application of the think pair share (TPS) learning method and conventional methods to student learning outcomes in physics learning. The type of research used is quasi-experimental (Quasy Experimental Design). The subjects in this study were two classes, namely 24 X MIPA 1 students as an experimental class using the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning method and 24 X MIPA 2 students as a control class using conventional methods. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using documentation, tests, and observations. The data analysis technique used in this study was the Independent Sample Test (t-test) with a significance level of 5%. Before the data were analyzed, a prerequisite test for normality analysis was carried out. The results showed that there were differences in the learning outcomes of students who were taught using the TPS method with conventional methods in physics subjects. Where the average post-test score for the experimental class was 72.45, higher than the control class, which was 51.54. These results indicate that student learning outcomes in the experimental class experienced a significant increase compared to the control class. The results of calculating the gain score for the experimental class obtained an average pre-test of 54.04 and a post-test of 72.45 so a Gain of 0.40 was obtained in the moderate category. Whereas in the control class, the average pre-test was 49.87 and the post-test was 51.54 so a gain of 0.03 was obtained in the low category. This shows that learning using the TPS method is better than using conventional methods.

Abstract

The lack of facilities and infrastructure, both laboratories and projectors, makes teachers rarely use learning media with methods that are still teacher-centered, making students limited in visualizing physical phenomena. This phenomenon has an impact on the difficulty in understanding physics so that their learning outcomes are included in the low category. Researchers in overcoming the problem using animated videos. The purpose of this study was to see the effectiveness of the application of animated videos in improving physics learning outcomes for class XI at SMAN 9 Kendari. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample was determined by purposive sampling technique which was divided into 2 classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The data analysis technique used is the independent sample t-test. The results of the study found that the use of animated video-based learning media was very effective to be applied to the physics learning process as seen from the provision of posttest questions and the gain test value also increased by 0.69 in the experimental class and 0.62 in the control class which was included in the medium category. So it can be concluded that animated video media is effective in improving physics learning outcomes
