Abstract

Millennials community right now prefer video media as a learning resource rather than reading textbooks. To understand the contents of books, we need to have a reasonably high literacy ability. Unlike the case with learning videos, explanations accompanied by images in the video can help someone to understand the material in that media. The first goal of this study was to make audiovisual teaching materials that could serve as a supplementary textbook teaching materials. The second goal was to test the effectiveness of teaching materials that have been created. The method used was the development method using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The process of developing teaching materials began with creating multimedia learning, recording stages, editing stages, and completion stages. Material experts and media experts then validated the teaching materials that had been produced and tried out on students. The results of the try out documents to the students showed that there were significant changes both in terms of motivation, enthusiasm for learning, interaction in the classroom, and from student learning outcomes. These results made the student's response to the use of teaching materials excellent. This audiovisual teaching material was worthy and effectively of being used as a learning media, both as a supplementary or primary source.

Abstract

AbstractOne of the factors causing the low score of student learning outcomes Statistics and Probability on midterm exams is that during practice or studying on their own, students feel the complexity of solving questions about data analysis in Statistics and Probability courses and the difficulty of obtaining confirmation of correct answers. This encourages to find alternative solutions. One of them is using Excel and Statistical Program of Social Science (SPSS) software in Statistics and Probability learning. The purpose of this research is to improve the learning outcomes of Statistics and Probability using Excel and SPSS software. The method used in this research is the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Samples were selected using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. To see if there is an increase in learning outcomes, it is done by comparing the average learning outcomes of the midterm exams (before using Excel and SPSS software) and final semester exams (after using Excel and SPSS software). The results of the Wicoxon test showed Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 less than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the pretest and posttest means are significantly different. This shows that there is an increase in learning outcomes before and after learning using Excel and SPSS software, so it is concluded that student learning outcomes in Statistics and Probability courses can be improved through learning by using Excel and SPSS software. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve learning outcomes in the subjects of Basics and Mathematics Learning Process. This study uses a pre-experimental one group pre-post design. The research subjects are prospective student teachers who take the Basics and Mathematics Learning Process course consisting of 41 students in 2020. The instrument used is a test instrument that is given before and after treatment in the form of pretest and posttest. Data analysis used two mean differences, namely paired two-sample t-test, but previously tested for normal distribution using Kolmogorof Sminov. To see the improvement in learning outcomes, both data were analyzed by N-Gain. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the average pretest and posttest were different where the posttest average was 77.44 higher than the pretest average was 62.68. The results of the two-average difference test show a significance value (2 tailed) (0,000) α (0.05), which means that the average pretest and posttest are significantly different. The results of the N-Gain calculation show that the increase in learning outcomes is included in the medium category, so that an increase in learning outcomes is obtained Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the use of instructional video media can improve learning outcomes for the Basic Learning Process and Mathematics courses. This is possible because videos about learning can represent teaching simulations more than just lectures or discussions.  Keywords:  learning outcomes, pedagogic competence , learning videos .
