Abstract

ABSTRACTHas become a common understanding that fishing is a risky job, so the safety aspects on board is an important factor that must be considered. Fishing vessels should also be supported with design and good stability, so that fishing activities can run smoothly and avoid the danger of accidents. Pole and liner in Bitung is quite varied and the ships were built in traditional dockyard and not based on the calculation and construction planning and design. One of the instruments on fishing vessel operational safety assurance is the implementation of the regulation, both nationally and internationally. At the international level, many regulations governing the safety of the ship in respect of fish. While national regulations relating to the safety of fishing vessels has not been consistent and in harmony, hence the assessment regulations relating to fishing vessel safety improvement needs to be done to determine the extent of the responsibility of government and the extent of the application of the existing rules. The general objective of this study was to determine the safety aspects of pole and line vessels, while the specific goal are: (1) review and analyze to get the quality stability of the ship (2) identify and assess safety-related regulatory review pole and line vessels in Bitung. The results showed that the quality of the stability of the vessel pole and line in the four conditions of the charge distribution in a state of good stability. It is represented by the value of all the parameters that are above the standard value IMO. In the simulated load conditions, the maximum GZ value at the time the vessel is in operation, while the GZ smallest value in an empty load case ship condition. There are seven international policy and five national policies relevant to the safety of fishing vessels. International policies clearly have established the safety of the ship and crew of fishing vessels, but implementation at the national level is still lacking and not aligned.Keywords: pole and liner, quality stability, regulation-------ABSTRAKTelah menjadi pemahaman umum bahwa kegiatan penangkapan ikan merupakan suatu pekerjaan beresiko, sehingga aspek keselamatan diatas kapal merupakan faktor terpenting yang harus diperhatikan. Kapal ikan juga harus didukung dengan desain dan stabilitas yang baik, sehingga kegiatan penangkapan ikan dapat berjalan lancar dan terhindar dari bahaya kecelakaan. Armada kapal pole and line di Bitung cukup bervariasi dan kapal-kapal tersebut dibangun digalangan tradisional yang tidak berdasarkan perhitungan dan perencanaan konstruksi dan desain. Salah satu instrumen dalam jaminan keselamatan operasional kapal ikan adalah pelaksanaan peraturan, baik nasional maupun internasional. Pada tingkat internasional, banyak regulasi yang mengatur berkenaan dengan keselamatan kapal ikan. Sementara peraturan nasional yang berkaitan dengan keselamatan kapal ikan belum sejalan dan selaras, karenanya pengkajian regulasi terkait dengan peningkatan keselamatan kapal ikan perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana tanggung jawab pemerintah dan sejauh mana penerapan aturan yang ada. Tujuan umum dari penelitian ini adalah menentukan aspek keselamatan kapal pole and line, sedangkan tujuan khususnya adalah: (1) mengkaji dan menganalisis untuk mendapatkan kualitas stabilitas kapal (2) mengidentifikasi dan mengkaji tinjauan regulasi terkait keselamatan kapal pole and line di Bitung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas stabilitas kapal pole and line pada empat kondisi distribusi muatan dalam keadaan stabilitas yang baik. Hal ini diwakili oleh nilai semua parameter yang berada di atas nilai standar IMO. Pada kondisi simulasi muatan, nilai GZ maksimum berada pada saat kapal beroperasi, sementara nilai GZ terkecil pada kondisi kapal muatan kosong. Terdapat tujuh kebijakan internasional dan lima kebijakan nasional yang relevan dengan keselamatan kapal ikan. Kebijakan internasional jelas telah menetapkan keselamatan kapal dan awak kapal penangkap ikan, tetapi implementasi di tingkat nasional masih kurang dan belum selaras.Kata kunci: Kapal pole and line, kualitas stabilitas, regulasi

Abstract

Reaktor Daya Non-Komersial (RDNK) with a 10 MW thermal power has been proposed as one of the technology options for the first nuclear power plant program in Indonesia. The reactor is a High Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactor-type with spherical fuel elements called pebbles. To support this program, it is necessary to prepare dry cask to safely store the spent pebble fuels that will be generated by the RDNK. The dry cask design has been proposed based on the Castor THTR/AVR but modified with air gaps to facilitate decay heat removal. The objective of this study is to evaluate criticality safety through keff  value of the proposed dry cask design for the RDNK spent fuel. The keff  values were calculated using MCNP5 program for the dry cask with 25, 50, 75, and 100% of canister capacity. The values were calculated for dry casks with and without air gaps in normal, submerged, tumbled, and both tumbled and submerged conditions. The results of calculated keff  values for the dry cask with air gaps at 100% of canister capacity from the former to the latter conditions were 0.127, 0.539, 0.123, and 0.539, respectively. These keff values were smaller than the criticality threshold value of 0.95. Therefore, it can be concluded that the dry cask with air gaps design comply the criticality safety criteria in the aforementioned conditions.

Abstract

KARAKTERISASI LIMBAH DARI PRODUKSI RADIOISOTOP MOLIBDENUM-99.  Radioisotop 99Mo diproduksi terutama sebagai radioisotop induk untuk memperoleh radioisotop tecnisium-99m (99mTc). Radioisotop 99mTc dipakai dalam kedokteran nuklir antara lain  untuk diagnosis pada kelainan tulang, otak, thyroid, paru-paru, hati dan ginjal. Di Indonesia 99Mo diproduksi oleh PT. Industri Nuklir Indonesia (INUKI) dari target uranium yang dilekatkan kedalam dinding kapsul baja tahan karat untuk kemudian diiradiasi di Reaktor GA Siwabessy. Pengambilan 99Mo dalam target dilakukan dengan proses CINTICHEM. Pada proses CINTICHEM akan ditimbulkan  beberapa jenis limbah yang salah satunya adalah Radioactive Fission Waste (RFW). Limbah ini memiliki paparan radiasi yang besar yang mengakibatkan karakterisasi limbah secara laboratorium sulit dilakukan. Pengelolaan limbah yang tepat memerlukan karakteristik limbah yang tepat pula. Oleh karena itu dalam penelitian ini dilakukan karakterisasi limbah RFW menggunakan program komputer ORIGEN 2.1 dengan data parameter input adalah data dari salah satu batch produksi 99Mo di PT INUKI yang berupa data target uranium diperkaya tinggi 92,7% yang dilekatkan pada kapsul baja tahan karat AISI 304L, iradiasi dilakukan pada posisi Centre Irradiation Position (CIP) dalam Reaktor Serbaguna GA Siwabessy dengan fluks netron termal: 1,12x1014 n/cm2detik dan iradiasi target dilakukan selama 96 jam. Seleksi radionuklida yang relevan terhadap metode pengelolaan limbah dilakukan berdasarkan pada waktu paro, tingkat kliren dan radiotoksisitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sampai dengan waktu peluruhan 50 tahun, total konsentrasi aktivitas limbah 3,01x109 Bq/g dengan kandungan radionuklida produk aktivasi, aktinida dan anak luruhnya serta produk fisi. Selain itu limbah ini juga mengandung 235U yang masih cukup besar serta radionuklida umur paro panjang dengan tingkat toksisitas yang sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan pada Peraturan Pemerintah No.61 Tahun 2013 limbah ini diklasifikasikan sebagai limbah radioaktif  tingkat sedang dan memerlukan pengelolaan dengan tingkat keselamatan yang tinggi.

Abstract

EVALUATION OF NEUTRON SHIELDING PERFORMANCE OF CD-SS 316L AS A CANDIDATE ALLOY FOR DRY CASK OF RESEARCH REACTOR SPENT FUEL Development of dry casks is necessary to support the national strategy for management of spent fuels. One of the requirements for the dry cask is shielding performance for neutron emitted by the spent fuels to be stored in the dry cask. The objectives of this study are to determine the emitted neutrons by the spent fuel generated from GAS research reactor and to evaluate the neutron shielding performance of Cd-SS316L alloy as a candidate material to be used in dry cask for the spent fuels.  The former was carried out using Origen 2.1 software, while the latter using MCNP5. The result shows that the emitted neutrons by a spent fuel after 5 years discharged from GAS research reactor were 2.81×103 and 3.32×106 n/s for reactor core power of 15 and 30 MW, respectively. Addition of Cd improves the neutron shielding performance of SS 316L. The evaluation of neutron shielding performance of SS 316L with addition of Cd which is the candidate material for dry cask of the spent fuels from the GAS research reactor can be evaluated using Origen 2.1 software for neutron emission, while the neutron shielding performance was evaluated by the simulation using MNCP 5 software. This study shows the Cd-SS 316L alloy can be used for further study to develop the dry cask design for the GAS research reactor.Key words: Neutron shielding, cadmium, stainless steel, spent fuel.

Abstract

DESIGN OF DRY CASK STORAGE FOR SERPONG MULTI PURPOSE REACTOR SPENT NUCLEAR FUEL. The spent nuclear fuel (SNF) from Serpong Multipurpose Reactor, after 100 days storing in the reactor pond, is transferred to water pool interim storage for spent fuel (ISFSF). At present there are a remaining of 245 elements of SNF on the ISSF,198 element of which have been re-exported to the USA. The dry-cask storage allows the SNF, which has already been cooled in the ISSF, to lower its radiation exposure and heat decayat a very low level. Design of the dry cask storage for SNF has been done. Dual purpose of unventilated vertical dry cask was selected among other choices of metal cask, horizontal concrete modules, and modular vaults by taking into account of technical and economical advantages. The designed structure of cask consists of SNF rack canister, inner steel liner, concrete shielding of cask, and outer steel liner. To avoid bimetallic corrosion, the construction material for canister and inner steel liner follows the same material construction of fuel cladding, i.e. the alloy of AlMg2. The construction material of outer steel liner is copper to facilitate the heat transfer from the cask to the atmosphere. The total decay heat is transferred from SNF elements bundle to the atmosphere by a serial of heat transfer resistance for canister wall, inner steel liner, concrete shielding, and outer steel liner respectedly. The rack canister optimum capacity of 34 fuel elements was designed by geometric similarity method basedon SNF position arrangement of 7 x 6 triangular pitch array of fuel elements for prohibiting criticality by spontaneous neutron. The SNF elements are stored vertically on the rack canister.  The thickness of concrete wall shielding was calculated by trial and error to give air temperature of 30 oC and radiation dose on the wall surface of outer liner of 200 mrem/h. The SNF elements bundles originate from the existing racks of wet storage, i.e. rack canister no 3, 8 and 10. The value of I0 from the rack no 3, 8 and 10 are 434.307; 446.344; and 442.375 mrem/h respectively. The total heat decay from rack canister no 3,8 and 10 are 179.640 ; 335.2; and 298.551 watts. The result of the trial and error calculation indicates that the rack canister no 3, 8 and 10 need the thickness of concrete shielding of 0.1912, 0.1954 and 0.1940 m respectively.Keywords: heat and radiation decay, spent fuel , storage cask.

Abstract

This research is aimed: 1) To insvestigate the students ability in written descriptive text taught without playing card in the case of eighth grade students of SMP 4 Semarang in academic year 2013/2014. 2) To insvestigate the students ability in written descriptive text taught by using playing card in the case of eighth grade students of SMP 4 Semarang in academic year 2013/2014. 3) To know the significances between students ability in written descriptive text taught without playing card and taught by using playing card. The final paper used descriptive quantitative method. The sample of this final paper was 8E class of SMP 4 Semarang. The sampling of the final paper was non random sampling. The total sample of the research were 32 students. Instrument of the research were pre-test and post-test. The conclusions from this final paper are: 1) The precentage of the eigth grade students’ ability in written descriptive text taught without playing card were 29% students got A, 41.9% students got B, 12.9% students got C and 16.1% students got D. The mean of the pre test score was 74.45. The students ability in written descriptive text that were taught without using playing card was good. 2) the percentages of the eight grade students ability in written descriptive text who were taught by using playing card were 51.6% students got A, 35.5% students got B, 12.9% students got C. The mean of the post test was 81.32. The student’s ability of writtten descriptive text raised significantly from 74.45 points to 81.32 points (raised 6.87 points). There were no more students who got D or E after they are taught by using playing card. The analysis of pre tes and post test by using SPSS 16 showed that T test was higher than T table (2.528 > 2.222). There was significances of using playing card as media in teaching written descriptive. The students ability in written descriptive text taught by using playing card was very good.

Abstract

The potential for squid in the waters of the Lembeh Strait, Bitung City is overflow. So that potential is utilized by fishermen in Motto village, to catch squid. The purpose of this research was to study the construction and fishing technique of squid fishing gear in Motto Village. The method of data collection was done by interview and direct observation in the field by following the fishing activities directly and The analysis used is descriptive. The results showed that the construction of squid jigging are includng rope reels, main line, hook, swivel. The construction of the squid jigs was modified by adding a tin ballast which was attached to the body of the fishing line as well as functioning as a ballast, and at the end of the body of the fishing rod, radium from scotlet was installed. The technque of catching squid is assisted by turn on flasing ligt of green and white which is dipped on the sea surface to function as an attractor to collect squid making it easy to fishing.

Abstract

Amorphophallus muelleri Bl. atau biasa dikenal dengan nama porang, jika diolah dengan baik dapat menghasilkan banyak manfaat. Secara ekonomi, komoditas porang memang sangat menjanjikan karena memiliki nilai ekonomi terutama untuk industri dan Kesehatan. Porang menjadi bahan baku industrri kosmetik dan bahan makanan rendah kalori favorit, terutama di Jepang dan Korea Selatan. Kelompok Tani Yin Porrang merupakan salah satu kelompok tani porang yang ada di Desa Padarangin, Kecamatan Slogohimo, Kabupaten Wonogiri, Jawa Tengah. Selain masalah produk akhir, pemasaran yang bersifat konvensional menjadi masalah utama untuk pengembangan usaha kelompok tani ini. IST AKPRIND melalui program Matching Fund tahun 2021 menawakan solusi untuk pengembangan prroduk sehingga menambah nilai jual porang. Pelatihan pemasaran digital dan pengembangan web sebagai salah satu sarana pemasaran digital juga dilakukan untuk meraih target pasar yang lebih luas dengan biaya yang lebih rendah dan cara yang lebih terukur.

Abstract

Perairan Minahasa Utara bagian Barat pada umumnya merupakan hamparan batu karang yang memiliki potensi sumber daya perikanan yang relatif melimpah salah satunya adalah gurita (Octopus). Dalam memanfaatkan sumber daya ini masyarakat nelayan Desa Budo menangkap gurita menggunakan alat tangkap pancing yang disebut sihoru atau gara–gara boboca, alat tangkap ini adalah alat tangkap pancing jenis tonda. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan warna umpan terhadap jumlah hasil Tangkapan dan mengetahui spesies octopus hasil tangkapan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitan adalah eksperimental dan dianalisis menggunakan metode statistik Uji T. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh hasil nilai analisis P coklat hitam dan sebesar 0.6041, coklat dan merah sebesar 0.4762, hitam dan merah sebesar 0.8455 yang semua nilainya berada diatas α0.05 = 2.2281 dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan warna umpan tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil tangkapan. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi gurita yang tertangkap adalah Octopus cyanea. Kata kunci :Desa Budo, gurita, sihoru
