Abstract

AbstrakPelestarian lingkungan danau limboto menjadi kewajiban dan tanggungjawab bersama untuk menjamin keberlanjutan ekosistem, oleh karenanya dibutuhkan partisipasi aktif dari kelompok masyarakat. Untuk mewujudkan maksud tersebut maka Pemerintah Provinsi Gorontalo telah menetapkan Peraturan Daerah Nomor 1 Tahun 2008 tentang pengelolaan danau Limboto. Kebijakan ini tentu membutuhkan dukungan konkrit masyarakat. Salah satu desa yang terletak dipesisir danau Limboto adalah desa Buhu. Desa inisering berhadapan dengan masalah banjir pada musim penghujan dan juga masalah serius pendangkalan danau Limboto sebagai akibat dari cepatnya pertumbuhan eceng gondok. Mata pencaharian masyarakat dikampung ini bervariasi, mulai dari nelayan, serabutan dan pengrajin. Untuk  menindaklanjuti masalah pokok dimaksud maka bentuk kegiatan yang dilaksanakan adalah : 1) sosialisasi hukum perlindungan lingkungan danau Limboto, 2) bimbingan teknis manajemen bagi kelompok pengrajin eceng gondok. Adapun metode yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan masalah dimaksud adalah diskusi komprehensif dan mendasar, teori dan pendampingan praktek manajemen kerajinan tangan anyaman eceng gondokoleh tim ahli/pakar bersama mahasiswa dan kelompok sasaran. Hasil kegiatan yang dicapai adalah: 1) adanya kesadaran masyarakat setempat terhadap pentingnya pelestarian lingkungan danau Limboto, 2) meningkatnya kapasitas manajemen kelompok pengrajin anyaman eceng gondok. Kata kunci: Pelestarian lingkungan, pemberdayaan dan standarisasi produk AbstractStakeholders, such as people or group of community, are responsible for environmental conservation of Limboto lake; this is also to ensure a sustainable ecosystem. The government of Gorontalo Provincehas constituted the Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2008 considering the management of Limboto lake to achieve such a target. This policy requires support from the community. Buhu village is among the villages based in the coastal lakes of Limboto lake. The village always suffers from flood strikes the village during rainy season. On top of that, the issue of silting is also one of the major concern in Limboto lake due to the growth of common water hyacinth (Eceng Gondok). The villagers have different occupations, e.g., fishermen and artisans. In responding to the previous concerns, the implementation of the program consists of steps, such as 1) improving people’s understanding regarding the protection of the environment surrounding Limboto lake through seminars, and 2) conducting workshops for water hyacinth artisans. Comprehensive and fundamental discussion was used as the method to address the issues. Furthermore, experts along with university students conducted workshops on management practice for the artisans. The results are 1) the rise in people’s awareness about the importance of the preservation of Limboto lake, and 2) reinforcing the management capacity of the water hyacinth artisans.Keywords: Environmental Preservation, Empowerment and Product Standardization

Abstract

Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi salah satunya dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat. Pengabdianmasyarakat melalui KKN PPM ini dilaksanakan dengan tema upaya meningkatkan kapasitas manajemen dan mutuproduk pada kelompok kerajinan karawo di desa Bongo kecamatan Batudaa Pantai kabupaten Gorontalo yang jugaditujukan untuk memenuhi standard mutu pasar moderen di Gorontalo sebagai mitra. Peningkatan kapasitasmanajemen dari berbagai aspek diharapkan membuka peluang untuk dapat melakukan perbaikan kuantitas dankualitas sehingga dapat terus mempertahankan dan mengangkat produk karawo lebih luas sebagai ciri khasGorontalo. Beberapa target spesifik yang dicapai adalah: 1). Mewujudkan pemenuhan standarisasi mutu produksesuai permintaan pasar modern di Gorontalo sebagai mitra, 2) Mewujudkan strategi pemasaran dan perluasanwilayah pemasaran produk karawo di Gorontalo, 3) Mewujudkan kontinuitas hasil produksi karawo sehingga dapatmembuka peluang peningkatan pendapatan anggota kelompok usaha karawo di desa Bongo dan kesejahteraanmasyarakat sekitarnya. Langkah konkrit dalam kegiatan ini adalah melakukan penguatan kapasitas manajemenusaha, meningkatkan suplay bahan baku, hasil produksi dan memenuhi standarisasi produk di pasaran serta strategipemasaran.

Abstract

Abstract The program on regional leading product development (program pengembangan produk unggulan daerah, henceforth called as PPPUD) for Karawo- the local Gorontalo’s embroidery product- has been carried out to domestic crafters in the Religious Tourism Village of Bongo from 2017 and expected to be completed by 2019. The initial year project focuses on strengthening the business management of the karawo, including strengthening the capacity of human resources and related production facilities. This capacity strengthening program is carried out in collaboration with the Cooperative, Industry, Trade and SMEs Department of Gorontalo regency. This initial year program has brought positive results that are evident in each of the following indicator: 1) the increase of managerial technical capacity of the management and all members of the SMEs groups, 2) all aspects of human resources are fulfilled and strengthened and thus, have brought impact on the quantity and the quality of the product; 3) all production-related facilities are fulfilled, and the office spaces are also furnished hence, have brought positive impact on production and the management activity, these improvement have brought impact on the marketing of the karawo products produced by these SMEs. Based on this initial year’s achievements, the focus of the second year would be on strengthening the production, finance, and raw material’s aspects of the karawo. Therefore, it is crucial for this community empowerment program through the PPUD program to be carried out into the next year.  Keywords: Management, Human Resource, Karawo Production Facilities and Products.

Abstract

AbstrakSektor ril telah terbukti mampu memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pembangunan ekonomi di daerah. Kabupaten Gorontalo memiliki beberapa kelompok binaan usaha mikro kecil sulaman kain karawo, yang diantaranya berlokasi di desa wisata religius Bongo. Peran perguruan tinggi yang dilaksanakan melalui pengabdian masyarakat difokuskan pada upaya konkrit secara bertahap dan terukur dalam meningkatkan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada kelompok sasaran pengrajin sulaman kain karawo untuk menciptakan keunggulan produk karawo yang memenuhi Standard Mutu Pasar Moderen di tingkat lokal, nasional dan internasional. Adapun tema kegiatan pengabdian adalah penguatan kapasitas tata kelola keuangan, bahan baku, proses dan produksi bagi kelompok masyarakat pengrajin karawo Desa Wisata Religius Bongo. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi kegiatan pada khalayak sasaran maka diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut : 1) terdapat peningkatan pemahaman terhadap teori dan kemampuan dalam praktek tata kelola keuangan oleh kelompok sasaran. 2) meningkatnya kemampuan dalam pemenuhan bahan baku berdasarkan kebutuhan produksi. 3) terstandarisasinya proses produksi ragam produk karawo. 4) terpenuhinya kebutuhan ragam produk kain karawo sesuai dengan kebutuhan pasar. Pada dasarnya secara keseluruhan rangkaian kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat telah memberikan pengalaman empirik dan manfaat baik bagi kelompok masyarakat sebagai sasaran, tim dosen pelaksana, perguruan tinggi dan pemerintah setempat.Kata kunci: Penguatan Financial, Bahan Baku, Produksi, Proses AbstractThe real sector has evidently been able to provide an important contribution to regional economic development. Gorontalo regency has a number of small and micro enterprise groups of Karawo artisans participating in a development program; some of the groups are based in religious tourism village Bongo. This activity targets the group of Karawo artisans to promote quality Karawo products that meet the local, national, and international standard of modern market quality. The theme of the community service revolves around the capacity reinforcement of financial, raw materials, process, and production management for the Karawo artisan enterprises in religious tourism Bongovillage. The resultsreveal that: 1) there is an improvement in the insight regarding the theory and the ability in the practice of financial management of the target groups, 2) there is an improvement regarding the capability of thefulfilment of raw materials based on the production needs, 3) the productionof Karawo embroidery has been standardized, 4) the fulfilment of the needs of other varieties of Karawo embroidery based on the market needs. Generally, the overall activities of community services have provided the community with empirical experience and advantages for the target community, lecturer team, universities, as well as the local government.Keywords: Reinforcement of Finance, Raw Materials, Process, Production
