Abstract

Learning the Indonesian language cannot be separated from the use of textbooks. In using textbooks, teachers must consider several aspects, especially text readability. This study aims to measure text readability in Indonesian textbooks using the Fry Graph Formula and determine the suitability of the text used in the book with the student's school level. The present study applied the descriptive analysis and quantitative approach method to count and analyze texts in several Indonesian language textbooks readability using the Fry graph formula. Three Indonesian language textbooks with 45 measured text in 11th grade were analyzed. This study found that 25 texts showed the results "Not Appropriate", 16 texts showed the results "Appropriate", and four texts showed the results "Invalid". Based on the analysis, the number of readabilities of text in Indonesian language textbooks was easy for textbooks at 11th grade. The findings in this study can help the teacher adjust and choose the suitable teaching materials in Indonesian language textbook to improve teaching and learning quality. Before selecting a leading textbook as a learning source, we suggest teachers analyze text readability to improve learning efficiency and quality.

Abstract

This research investigated the use of discovery learning models to enhance students’ speech script writing skills. This research aimed to focus on the study of the effectiveness and difficulties of discovery learning models to improve students’ speech script writing skills. The research applied an experimental method by using test, observation, and questionnaires for collecting data techniques. The population of this research was students of MTs Syarikal Islam 2 Kalapanunggal. The class of IX-B was the experimental class, and a class of IX-A was control class. The use of the discovery learning model is proven to enhance students’ speech script writing skills. The effectiveness of this experimental model is shown that the average score of the pretest of the experimental class is 53,5, and the post-test score is 84,3. By comparing the control class without treatment, it indicates the effectiveness of the intervention in the experimental class. The research shows a meaningful comparison of the experimental class and control class, which gain 2,56 by using the t-test. The data obtains that t-count is higher than t-table or significant is the value of t-table<t-count, namely 1,68 < 2,56 > 2,42. Therefore, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model has shown the improvement for students’ speech script writing skills effectively.

Abstract

Interjeksi adalah kata yang bertugas untuk mengungkapkan perasaan seseorang dalam bentuk rasa kesal, kagum, senang, syukur, heran, kecewa, dan sebagainya. Rasa hati yang diungkapkan dapat memiliki makna yang berbeda pada setiap konteks kutipannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan penggunaan jenis interjeksi dalam novel Guru Aini karya Andrea Hirata dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan data berupa kata yang termasuk sebagai salah satu jenis interjeksi. Metode dan teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode simak dengan teknik catat dan menggunakan teknik triangulasi sebagai uji validitas data. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa interjeksi yang digunakan berupa asyiiik, oi, ai, nah, oh, ah, mantap, aduh, ayo, amboi, wai, jeh, hei, masyaallah, ojeh, luar biasa, alhamdulillah, dan wallahualam. Interjeksi tersebut diklasifikasikan sesuai dengan jenisnya berdasarkan ungkapan rasa hati yang ditunjukkan. Adapun jenis interjeksi yang ditemukan terbagi dalam delapan jenis, diantaranya (1) interjeksi kekesalan terdapat 4 kutipan. (2) interjeksi kepuasan atau kekaguman terdapat 6 kutipan. (3) interjeksi kesyukuran terdapat 2 kutipan. (4) interjeksi keheranan terdapat 18 kutipan. (5) interjeksi kekagetan terdapat 5 kutipan. (6) interjeksi ajakan terdapat 4 kutipan. (7) interjeksi panggilan terdapat 8 kutipan. (8) interjeksi simpulan terdapat 9 kutipan.

Abstract

Character education is an important thing in the planning process to shape, direct and guide the behavior of students so that their behavior is in accordance with the norms that apply in carrying out their daily lives. One of the characteristics that must be possessed by students is a religious character which is closely related to individual attitudes and behavior with spiritual matters. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of religious character education to students, especially grade V students. This type of research used a qualitative research type with a descriptive approach. Methods of data collection using interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there is an application of religious character education that is carried out in schools with religious activities called TPA such as students praying 5 times a day, reciting iqra/Al-quran, doing remembrance and prayer after prayer, memorizing letters, listening and recording cult messages Friday. Religious character in students can be formed gradually and continuously according to the willingness and ability of children, synergistic relationships between teachers and students, and collaboration with parents of Bogor Pertiwi Elementary School students.

Abstract

Abstract

A film can be used as a learning material to analyze the various values contained in a film and it is expected that positive values in the film can be a mirror in everyday attitudes and behavior. Value as a guide and handle. Values are used for a reason, basis, or foundation or motivation in determining attitudes and actions. The film of Keluarga Cemara contains moral messages and life values. The film Keluarga Cemara tells the story of a nuclear family who lives in the city of Jakarta and needs to deal with a situation where their possessions are depleted due to being lied to by one of their extended family members. The film Keluarga Cemara shows how parents educate their children, the family can accept all conditions, and how children in social relationships and adapt to the environment. This study aims to identify and describe the values of life in the film Keluarga Cemara and its implications for learning Indonesian in high school. The method used in this study is the qualitative descriptive method. The Data used in this study is in the form of a dialogue between characters in the film family. Checking the validity of the data in the study using the triangulation method. The value of life that became the focus of research, namely the value of compassion, the value of wisdom, the value of justice, moral values, and the value of life from the results of the study were found in as many as 19 quotes from the value of compassion, 12 quotes the value of responsibility, 3 quotes moral values, 1 quote the value of justice, and 3 quotes the value of wisdom. With the results of triangulation, as much as 100% of the interviewees agreed with the results of the researcher's analysis. The results of this study deserve to be used as teaching materials for learning the Indonesian language and literature.

Abstract

This research aims to develop genially-based learning media in the sub-theme of utilizing natural wealth in Indonesia to determine the feasibility of these products. This research uses the R&D (Research and Development) research method using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The results showed that the interactive learning media developed was very suitable for use as a learning media in class IV-B of SDN Mekarjaya 10 Depok city in learning based on the average validation score of media experts 85.33%, the average validation score of linguists was 81.33%, and the average validation score of material with criteria of 85.33%, the validation results were included in the category of “very feasible” to use. Based on the student response questionnaire of 85.45%, it is included in the “very good” category.
