Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a mathematical learning model that is combined with physical education learning for children with mild mental retardation in Extraordinary School. This game is called the PLAY (Basic Motion Assisted Instruction) game. This study uses the R & D (Research and Development) method that is carried out for mild mentally retarded students, Public Extraordinary School Tamansari, Tasikmalaya City, with the intention of developing a learning model for the introduction of the two-dimensional figure through physical activity. The results of the preliminary study or field findings are then described and analyzed so that these results are descriptive in the form of learning model models and learning steps concerning the purpose of the preliminary study and the results of expert trials and observations. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif matematika berbasis Android dengan bantuan software Articulate Storyline 3 dan mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajarannya. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode Research Development (RD) dengan model Assessment/Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation Evaluation (ADDIE). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dan kuesioner. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar kisi-kisi wawancara studi pendahuluan dan angket penilaian kualitas media pembelajaran. Data penelitian ini bersumber dari dua ahli media, dua ahli materi, dan peserta didik kelas VII MTs Negeri 2 Kuningan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan aplikasi berbasis Android dengan nama ABEMAT (Aplikasi Belajar Matematika). Produk dinilai dari kelayakan penggunaan media yang diukur berdasarkan kualitas teknis, kualitas isi dan tujuan, dan kualitas instruksional. Pada penilaian teknis, ahli media menyatakan media pembelajaran masuk pada kategori sangat layak, sedangkan pada penilaian kualitas isi dan tujuan, ahli materi menyatakan media pembelajaran masuk pada kategori layak, dan berdasarkan angket penilaian kualitas instruksional pada uji coba kepada peserta didik, media pembelajaran dinyatakan masuk pada kategori layak sehingga media pembelajaran dapat digunakan untuk membantu proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Certification of teachers that has lasted more than a decade aimed to produce professional teachers, thus impacting significantly to the advancement of education in Indonesia. But the reality in Tasikmalaya, West Java, it is very much different from the expectations. The majority of teachers are even more concerned about the increase of social status than the professional quality as an educator. More recently the government has implemented Teacher Competency Test (UKG), which was held simultaneously throughout Indonesia with the aim to determine the ability of teachers’ pedagogical and professional competencies. The purpose of this study was to determine the mapping of the teachers’ competency by rank, domain competence, academic qualification, age, gender, and see the difference in results UKG based certification status. Outputs resulting from this study were (1) to map the results UKG mathematics of junior high school in Tasikmalaya, (2) to formulate recommendations or proposals regarding the improvement of the UKG (3) to formulate recommendations or proposals of the sustainable planning of professional development for teachers. The method used in this research were studied documentation, interviews and questionnaires open. The mapping of UKG results can be used as consideration in evaluating the program especially in what improvements need to be prioritised. By using the techniques of interviews and open questionnaire, was expected collect information of the effect of UKG for the teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of mathematical communication and mathematical problem-solving ability to learners after using the learning model Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS) -Heuristic and correlation between mathematical communication ability with mathematical problem solving ability to learners using model of learning LAPS-Heuristic. The population of the study were students of class VII of SMP Negeri 8 Tasikmalaya. Samples were taken one class at random and the selected ones were class VII I. Data collection techniques used were the provision of mathematical communication ability test and mathematical problem solving ability. Statistical analysis used is hypothesis test. The results of the analysis show the mathematical communication ability of the learners through the learning model LAPS–Heuristic baik and mathematical problem solving ability of learners through LAPS-Heuristic less good model. There is a correlation between mathematical communication ability with problem solving ability of mathematic learners using learning model LAPS-Heuristic.Keywords: Mathematical Communication, Mathematical Problem Solving, Logan Learning Model Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS) -Heuristic.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the increasements of mathematical creative thinking abilities of secondary school student after learning through cooperative learning Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD). This study used the quasi-experimental design with a control group, not equivalent. The study involved an experimental class given STAD cooperative learning assisted Geometer’s Sketchpad (GSP) and the control class was only given expository learning. Instruments used a set of mathematical creative thinking tests and questionnaires attitudes. The results showed that the students’ mathematical creative thinking ability can be improved through STAD cooperative learning STAD assisted Geometer’s Sketchpad.

Abstract

  This study aims to determine the effect of the application of Multiple Intelligences based Discovery Learning on students mathematical understanding ability and to find out the interest in learning mathematics of students after applying Multiple Intelligences based Discovery Learning. This study uses an experimental method with population of 312 eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 13 Tasikmalaya in the academic year 2018/2019. The sample is determined by cluster random sampling. 32 students from VIII-I class was chosen as the experimental class whose learning applied the Multiple Intelligences based Discovery Learning, while the VIII-H class which numbered 31 students was chosen as the control class whose learning applied the Discovery Learning model. The collection of research data is determined through a single test of mathematical understanding ability in the form of a description (posttest). The instrument of this study consisted of test questions of mathematical comprehension ability and students interest in learning mathematics. The data analysis technique uses the two average difference test. The results showed that there was an effect of the application of Multiple Intelligences based Discovery Learning models to the students 'mathematical understanding ability with students interest in mathematics learning in the high category.

Abstract

Geometri merupakan salah satu materi yang sangat penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Hanya saja, pada kenyataannya tidak sedikit siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahai konsep geometri yang diajarkan. Salah satu materi geometri yang dianggap sulit adalah materi dimensi tiga yang diberikan kepada siswa kelas X SMA khususnya mengenai konsep jarak. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu SMA di Kota Tasikmalaya dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 32 siswa kelas X. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan peneliti tentang learning obstacle yang dialami siswa ditinjau dari epistemological dan didactical obestacle, bahwa hambatan belajar siswa dalam materi dimensi tiga terletak pada  (1) menentukan letak hasil proyeksi suatu titik terhadap garis, (2) menentukan letak hasil proyeksi suatu titik terhadap bidang, dan (3) membuat dan mengenali bentuk sebuah bidang yang memuat titik dan memuat ruas garis pada bidang tersebut (yang memuat hasil proyeksi titik). Untuk meminimalisis learning obstacle tersebut, peneliti menyusun Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) agar siswa mampu memahami konsep jarak pada dimensi tiga secara lebih optimal. HLT pada pembelajaran materi jarak antara titik dengan garis meliputi: concept by definition, projection, making a plane, dan distance, sedangkan untuk HLT pada pembelajaran materi jarak antara titik dengan bidang meliputi: concept by definition, finding a segment, projection, making a plane, dan distance. Kata Kunci:   epistemological didactical obstacle, hypothetical learning trajectory, jarak pada bangun ruang

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence the preparation of learning programs, attitudes toward the teaching profession towards teaching efficacy of prospective teachers. The method used in this study is the explanatory survey method. The subjects in this study were level IV students of the Siliwangi University Teaching and Education Faculty (FKIP). The sampling technique used was proportionate random sampling (proportional random sample). The data analysis technique in this study is multiple linear regression using the SPSS 23.0 statistical tool to determine the effect of the preparation of learning programs, attitudes toward the teaching profession towards teaching efficacy of prospective teachers. Based on the results of the study, simultaneous preparation of learning programs and attitudes towards the teaching profession has a positive influence on teaching efficacy. That is, if there is an increase in the preparation of learning programs and attitudes towards the teaching profession simultaneously, it will improve the teaching efficacy of prospective teachers. Partially the preparation of learning programs has a significant effect on teaching efficacy of 0.271. That is, if there is an increase in the preparation of the learning program by 0.271 units then teaching efficacy will increase by 0.271 units, and attitudes towards the teaching profession have a significant influence on teaching efficacy of 0.459. This means that if there is an increase in attitudes towards the teaching profession by 0.459 then teaching efficacy increases by 0.459 units.Keywords: Factors Affecting Teachers' Teaching Efficacy

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the distribution of higher-order mathematical thinking skills of students of state senior high schools in Tasikmalaya City in the academic year 2018/2019, to find out whether there is a relationship between mathematical critical thinking abilities with students' mathematical creative thinking skills High School in Tasikmalaya City 2018/2019 academic year. This research is a type of descriptive research using quantitative descriptive methods. The population in this study were all students of Tasikmalaya City Senior High School in class X, class XI, and class XII, ranging in age from 16-18 years. The sampling technique in this study uses a probability sampling technique that is Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling, by taking 2 classes each school. The research instrument used in this study was a matter of high-level mathematical thinking ability tests which are slices of the cognitive dimension of Bloom's Taxonomy with the 2013 Curriculum Dimension dimension consisting of questions of critical and creative thinking skills. The results showed that the distribution of mathematical thinking ability levels in high school students in the City of Tasikmalaya academic year 2018/2019 as follows: a) mathematical HOTS ability with a very good category was obtained by 2 Schools or 20% of all High School Schools in Tasikmalaya City, the ability Mathematical HOTS with the good category is obtained by 7 Schools or 70% of all High Schools in Tasikmalaya City, Mathematical HOTS ability with a pretty good category is obtained by 1 School, namely SMAN J or 10% of all Public High Schools in Tasikmalaya City. There is a significant relationship between students' mathematical critical thinking skills with the mathematical creative thinking abilities of high school students in the City of Tasikmalaya 2018/2019 academic year. with the degree of correlation obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.283 or are in a low category. Keywords: Higher Order Mathematical Thinking Skills, mathematical critical thinking skills, mathematical creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Pengembangan lembar kerja (LK) merupakan suatu hal yang dapat mendukung proses kegiatan belajar mengajar di dunia pendidikan. Lembar Kerja  yang dibuat secara efektif dan sistematis serta fleksibel dapat membantu mahasiswa untuk belajar lebih efektif, aktif secara mandiri maupun berkelompok, sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemandirian, keaktifan dan motivasi mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran pada mata kuliah program komputer. Lembar kerja yang dibuat biasanya hanya dapat diselesaikan dengan cara konvensional saja, yaitu siswa mengerjakan secara tertulis permasalahan-permasalahan yang terdapat pada lembar kerja tersebut, sehingga mahasiswa hanya terfokus pada kemampuan mahasiswa dalam memecahkan masalah saja sehingga kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan kritis mahasiswa kurang berkembang. Lembar kerja yang dikembangkan pada penelttian ini yaitu lembar kerja yang tidak hanya memfokuskan mahasiswa dalam penyelesaian masalah matematika saja, tetapi untuk merangsang kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif mahasiswa dalam memecahkan masalah-masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang dapat diselesaikan dengan bantuan Software Microsoft  Excel.  Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan lembar kerja berbasis masalah pada perkuliahan program komputer dengan bantuan Ms. Excel  dan mengetahui self regulated learning mahasiswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika pada mata kuliah program komputer dengan bantuan Ms. Excel. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode pengembangan atau research and Development. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika angkatan 2016 dan peneliti mengambil 1 kelas untuk dijadikan subjek penelitian sebanyak 42 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini meliputi soal tes hasil belajar dan angket self regulated learning (SRL). Tes hasil belajar dan angket self regulated learning dianalisis secara kualitatif.  Keywords: Lembar Kerja, Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Self regulated learning, dan Microsoft  Excel.
