Abstract

The study was conducted in several private universities in Bandung that already launched a program of internationalization in response to the issue of globalization are increasingly demanding education providers increasingly globally oriented. This study aims to analyze further the factors that drive an institution to improve the quality of teaching, particularly in the preparation of curriculum arrangement and learning plans that meet global orientation by analyzing two variables that allegedly as the drivers, namely institution favorable governance and faculty’s global awareness. The research method using descriptive analysis and verificative analysis with IBM SPSS ver. 22 and IBM AMOS ver. 20 as a data processor. The results show that good institutional governance can force lecturers to develop their knowledge and global competence, without any support and strengthening in the form of legitimacy from the institute, is not able to create a globalized learning, and good institutional governance is accompanied by global knowledge and awareness, Can make lecturers a major axis in the creation of a globally oriented learning environment, especially in drafting the curriculum and globalized learning instruction.

Abstract

Today’s development of creative industries in the economy of Indonesia has shown a significant improvement. Creative industries have contributed in improving the growth of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), employment opportunities, and national industries. Unfortunately, those improvements are not in line with their internal developments. The purpose of this study is to find the answer of the gap phenomenon that occured. It is found that only three sub-sectors out of 15 have positive contributions as mentioned above. They include craft, fashion, and culinary. Primary data were obtained through a questionnaire survey and observation carried out in  batik and woven-fabric business units in 6 provinces in Indonesia. By conducting survey as the research methodology in which the data were evaluated using statistic tools such as SPSS and AMOS 20, it is found that creative people as renewable resources have been able to improve Indonesia competitive advantage in crafts industries by reflecting local culture and heritage through creativity on various innovations.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of financial literacy and demographic factors on investment decision making, the research method used is a survey with a quantitative approach, using a sample of 100 students on the STIE Wikara Campus. The data analysis technique used is Multiple Regression Analysis. The results showed that financial literacy has a significant effect on investment decision making, or has a significant role on formation in investment decision making, and motivation has a significant effect on decision making on investment or has a role on decision making on investment. Other findings of this study are attitude and motivation has a significant effect on investment decision making. This shows that the attitude and motivation will provide indirect experience to someone in terms of investment decision making, because at least a person or student who has financial literacy and demographic factors will tend to influence higher investment decisions than students who do not have financial literacy in investing

Abstract

Handycraft industries using local nature-based raw materials have been put as a top priority in the development of creative industries in Indonesia since they significantly contribute to Indonesia's national income and employment from 2010 to 2015. The development of these industries has a great potential but there are problems associated with the low organizational capacity of the industries so that empowerment strategy through organizational capacity development is needed. The research involved creative industries using local nature-based raw materials in Bandung,West Java. The method used in this research is descriptive survey. The data collection methods used were interviews and questionnaires. Further, the research data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The result show that handycraft industries using local nature-based raw materials need organizational capacity development. The priority areas for the organizational capacity development are: vision, mission and goal; system and infrastructure; organizational structure; and culture.

Abstract

Artikel ini melakukan tinjauaun litelatur sistematis tentang knowledge management dalam konteks industry kreatif. Aktivitas industry kreatif yang menekankan pada proses kreativitas dan inovasi, mendorong pengetahuan individu sebagai intangible asset untuk bisa dikelola dengan baik. Alasan ini yang menjadi dasar bahwa manajemen pengetahuan perlu ada secara berkelanjutan. Kolaborasi  juga  telah  dianggap  sebagai  fasilitator penting  dari  proses  ini,  terutama  dengan  memelihara  berbagai  informasi  dan  pengetahuan. Artikel ini  secara  sistematis mengkaji literatur yang meninjau knowledge management di industry kreatif. Dalam penelitian ini 33 artikel di analisis dengan beberapa kriteria inklusi dan esklusi yang telah ditetapkan, sebelumnya penarikan database elekteronik melalui Scopus menghasilkan 160 artikel, yang kemudian dicocokan dengan kriteria sehingga filter menghasilkan 33 artikel yang dianalisis. Analisis ini menjadi masukan berharga untuk pengembangan peneltian selanutnya khususnya knowledge management di industry kreatif.

Abstract

Menjadi Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan sebagai pusat keunggulan merupakan sebuah solutif untuk meningkatkan produktivitas bisnis yang telah dijalankan oleh sekolah. Oleh karena itu peneltian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi bisnis yang telah dilakukan oleh sekolah dengan menggunakan Triple Layer Business Model Canvas (TLBMC) sebagai alat untuk mengeksplorasi inovasi model bisnis yang berorientasi pada keberlanjutan. Metode penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan yang didasarkan pada filosofi post positivisme, purposive dan snowball pengambilan sampel dari Kepala sekolah, 5 perwakilan guru dan 5 perwakilan siswa SMK PK Al Ikhlas Susuru Panawangan yang dijadikan sebagai sumber referensi dalam menggali informasi untuk memetakan strategi bisnis. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa berdasarkan pemetaan TLBMC, lapisan ekonomi tergambarkan dengan baik, penggunaan kemasan yang kurang ramah lingkungan berdampak pada tidak menggambarkan elemen end of life, serta sejauh ini bisnis yang dilakukan tidak menimbulkan social impact yang negative. Skor PMIA menunjukkan nilai yang positif artinya bisnis tersebut tepat dan layak untuk dilanjutkan.

Abstract

The creative industries should be able to keep up with competitors' strategies to survive in the contemporary business environment. The depth of the digital touch in every company operation encourages business people to adapt it while developing new products. The purpose of this study was to present an overview of the digital-based innovation strategies employed by the leading creative industries in Bandung. Using a descriptive analysis strategy, the research method employed was qualitative. Techniques for data collection included literature reviews, field investigations, questionnaires, and in-depth interviews. The study's findings demonstrated that strategies for digital-based innovation were not conducted to their full potential. In this particular industry, there was insufficient growth of digitally based products and services, limited responsiveness to digital solutions provided by competitors, a lack of differentiation from competitors, relatively few platforms for digitally based products that were different from competitors, and poor product development. There were no newly developed digital products on the market. In addition, only the process innovation strategy received a positive response regarding the dimensions of a digital-based innovation strategy, even though most were still far from the digitalization process. However, digital implementation was absent from the organization's marketing and product innovation strategies, making them appear inefficient.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of entrepreneurial competencies and entrepreneurial orientation on business performance in the MSMEs Sub-Sector of Creative Industry in Bandung City. By distributing questionnaires to all respondents, the data sample is collected from 50 MSMEs. Quantities research method with SPSS analytical tool was used in this study. The results of this study indicate that entrepreneurial competencies partially affect business performance. Meanwhile, the entrepreneurial orientation variable partially influences business performance. Simultaneously, entrepreneurial competencies and entrepreneurial orientation affect business performance. The results of this research can be expected to contribute to the study of strategies and policies for the development of competencies and entrepreneurial orientation of MSMEs.

Abstract

Perkembangan kewirausahaan yang pesat telah mendorong pemerintah Indonesia untuk mengembangkan kewirausahaan dan berkomitmen meningkatkan daya saing sehingga wirausaha bisa mengembangkan bisnis dari skala mikro, kecil, menengah dan besar terutama di Jawa Barat. Para wirausahawan baru di Jawa Barat diketahui memiliki kinerja usaha yang kurang optimal meskipun telah mengikuti pelatihan kewirausahaan. Wirausahawan di Jawa Barat juga menunjukkan keterbatasan mindset dan kapabilitas usaha yang rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara mindset kewirausahaan, kapabilitas organisasi, dan pelatihan kewirausahaan terhadap strategi inovasi. Penelitian ini berfokus kepada wirausahawan baru di Jawa Barat yang berbisnis makanan dan minuman dan telah mendapatkan pelatihan dari Dinas Koperasi, Usaha Kecil dan Menengah Jawa Barat melalui program UMKM Juara yang berjumlah 1.149 orang. Sample yang diambil secara proportionate stratified sampling berjumlah 203 responden. Analisis data dilakukan dengan Structural Equation (SEM) menggunakan program AMOS 16.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa variabel mindset kewirausahaan, kapabilitas organisasi, dan pelatihan kewirausahaan memiliki pengaruh positif secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap strategi inovasi. Maka dengan diadakannya penelitian ini bisa mendorong pengusaha untuk memiliki pola pikir kewirausahaan, dengan meningkatkan kapabilitas, dan mengoptimalkan pelatihan kewirausahaan sehingga strategi inovasi dalam kewirausahaan bisa berjalan dengan optimal.
