Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of transformational leadership and the quality of work life to organizational commitment. The study involved 200 employees plantation. Data were collected by using scales of transformational leadership, quality of work life and organizational commitment. The data analyzed by multiple linear regression. The results showed that transformational leadership and quality of work life influenced significantly toward organizational commitment (R= 0.480, = 0.230, F= 29.484; P<0.01). Transformational leadership and the quality of working life made a significant contribution to the improving of employees' organizational commitment. Results of this study are expected to provide an understanding of how transformational leadership and quality of work life influence organizational commitment of employees, and also provide an insight to the company about the level of organizational commitment of employees, employees perceptions about the role of transformational leadership as well as an overview about quality of working life of employees. Keywords : transformational leadership, quality of work life, organizational commitment, plantation employee.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki hubungan antara employee happiness dengan employee engagement. Hasil penelitian akan digunakan sebagai dasar melakukan intervensi. Intervensi akan dilakukan terhadap variabel happiness dan kemudian mengukur pengaruh terhadap employee engagement. Subyek penelitian adalah pekerja diperusahaan perkebunan sebanyak 98 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen skala engagement dan skala happiness.Penelitian membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kebahagiaan dengan employee engagement. Intervensi dilakukan dalam dua angkatan dengan peserta masing-masing angkatan sebanyak 18 orang. Untuk mengukur efektivitas intervensi, peneliti menggunakan t-test untuk mengukur perbedaan dari pretest dan posttest baik untuk kebahagiaan maupun employee engagement. Hasil dari analisis t-test menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap employee engagement setelah intervensi. Intervensi telah meningkatkan employee engagement.

Abstract

Turnover as an actual form of turnover intention is a general phenomena in hospitality business. There are various factors that influence employee turnover intention, such as burnout experienced by employees and employee engagement that employees. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of burnout and employee engagement toward employee turnover intention at X Group Hotel. Multiple analysis result of this research showed that burnout and employee engagement influenced towards employee turnover intention at X Group Hotel. Burnout positively influenced to employee turnover intention and employee engagement negatively influenced to employee turnover intention at X Group Hotel. The implications of this research are expected the company can know that burnout can increase employee turnover intention, whereas employee engagement is needed to reduce employee turnover intention. However, many other things of the variables that can influence employee turnover intention on hospitality company, in particular if it is a family company.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh modal manusia terhadap kinerja bisnis selama masa COVID-19. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada perusahaan minyak dan gas bumi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Data yang digunakan untuk modal manusia maupun kinerja bisnis diperoleh dari laporan keuangan triwulan selama masa COVID-19. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara langsung maupun tidak langsung modal manusia tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja bisnis.

Abstract

COPD is an obstructive pulmonary disease that impact significantly in patients’ quality of life. Dyspnea as a main complaint in COPD patients often occur when the patients do simple thing in their daily life. There are few factors contribute to this condition. From few studies, cachexia as late manifestation of COPD often associated with worse manifestation of dyspnea. The aim of this study is to know whether there was a correlation between body mass index (BMI) and dyspnea scale in COPD patients. This is an analytical study with cross sectional design that involved 34 male participants with diagnosis of COPD. Body mass index was measured by Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) and Borg scale was used to measure the dyspnea scale. Spearman Test was used to analyze the correlation between BMI and dyspnea scale. In this study, the majority of patients were obesity (44.1%), but it had slight difference from underweight state (41.2%). Median of BORG scale was 3.0 with range 1-7. From analysis, there was no significant correlation between BMI and dyspnea scale with p-value > 0.05. So, it was concluded that there was no significant correlation between BMI and dyspnea scale in COPD patients. It might be because of few confounding factor that can contribute to this condition.

Abstract

Nowadays online purchasing is one of the most popular internet activities. Various types of online products that are often purchased by consumers. Some factors in online purchases are availability access, and time efficiency. When consumers purchase an online product, there are certain expectations as regards its uses/functions. They will experience post-purchase regrets if the product is not in accordance with the initial expectations. These regrets are due to outcome purchase and process purchase. This study was carried out having two major objectives. First was to find out the influence of brand trust on consumer purchase regret. Second was to examine brand reliability and brand intentions were determinants of outcome and process regret. The questionnaire was employed for the collection of data, and this involved 305 participants. The result confirmed that brand trust was a significant influence on consumer regret in online purchasing. It also revealed that brand reliability of online product to be a major predictor of reducing consumers’ outcome and process regrets. These findings indicated that a brand plays a vital role in becoming an identifiable online product and protects consumers from unpleasant psychological stages.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of BPJS Health services during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Mampang Health Center based on the dimensions of Tangible, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance and Empathy. This research design uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The location of this research is the Mampang Public Health Center, Kotapinang District, South Labuhanbatu Regency. Based on the results of the research conducted by researchers on 150 respondents who were patients or participants who visited the Mampang Public Health Center, Kotapinang District using BPJS Health, the results were (88.6%) rated moderate on Tangible dimensions, (85.7%) assessed on the Reliability dimension, (94.3%) rated it moderate on the Responsiveness dimension, (82.9%) rated it moderate on the Assurance dimension, and (97.1%) rated yes it meets the Empathy dimension. None of the respondents' statements stated that the quality of service was poor even though they were BPJS users.
