Abstract

Turnover as an actual form of turnover intention is a general phenomena in hospitality business. There are various factors that influence employee turnover intention, such as burnout experienced by employees and employee engagement that employees. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of burnout and employee engagement toward employee turnover intention at X Group Hotel. Multiple analysis result of this research showed that burnout and employee engagement influenced towards employee turnover intention at X Group Hotel. Burnout positively influenced to employee turnover intention and employee engagement negatively influenced to employee turnover intention at X Group Hotel. The implications of this research are expected the company can know that burnout can increase employee turnover intention, whereas employee engagement is needed to reduce employee turnover intention. However, many other things of the variables that can influence employee turnover intention on hospitality company, in particular if it is a family company.

Abstract

The change of culture from traditional to modern society has impacted to women ingetting their career.The other hand, some people views working women as against her nature and obligation as a woman. The difference in this paradigm forces women in to fear of success. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of competitive work situation and family social support toward fear of success among female employees. The study involved 106 marketing staffs at Finance company and data was collected through scales of competitive work situation, family social support and fear of success. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that competitive work situation and family social support influenced significantly toward fear of success among female employees. The competitive work situation and the family social support contributed in decreasing fear of success. The implication of this research is expected that organizations to create an organizational environment that triggers workers to achieve more by providing feedback, couching and counseling to decrease fear of success among female employees.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of leader-member exchange and organizational politics toward organizational citizenship behavior. The result showed that receiving Leader-member exchange positively affects to organizational citizenship behavior and organizational politics negatively affects to organizational citizenship behavior. This research indicates the importance of leader-member exchange and organizational politic toward organizational citizenship behavior.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the influence of Organizational Support Influence and Work Value towards Organizational commitment of the Y Generation Workers. The measurent used in this researce is the organization commitment scale and the work value scale. This research involves 211 workers in the Y generation in the Sakit Sari Mutiara Hospital Medan. The implication of this research hopes that organization should offer honors and or positive attitudes towards the Y generation, so that the workers’ organization support perception of the generation Y will show increase and improvement, with this increase perception given towards of the organization support the Y generation will enhance their affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh budaya organisasi terhadap keterikatan karyawan dan Organizational Citizenship Behavior Karyawan di Kantor Direksi PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III Medan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 253 karyawan tetap yang bekerja di Kantor Direksi PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III Medan. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala keterikatan karyawan, skala Organizational Citizenship Behavior dan skala budaya organisasi. Analisa data dilakukan dengan metode regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif antara budaya organisasi terhadap keterikatan karyawan dan Organizational Citizenship Behavior Karyawan di Kantor Direksi PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III Medan, yang berarti semakin kuat budaya organisasi terinternalisasi pada diri karyawan maka tingkat keterikatan karyawan juga semakin tinggi dan semakin sering OCB dilakukan.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of job demands, job resources and career adaptability on turnover intention among palm oil field assistant. Employee needs to balance demands (eg. job overload) and resources, in order to reduce stress and turnover intention. Resources can be divided into job resources (eg. job security, organization support, growth opportunities and advancement) and personal resources (eg. career adaptability). This study used structural equation modeling (SEM) with AMOS. Result indicates positive influence of job demands and negative influence of both job resources and career adaptability on turnover intention. However, career adaptability also show mediating effect in the relationship between job demands and job resources with turnover intention.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh ibu-ibu IKBI PTPN XIV adalah rendahnya tingkat wirausaha yang disebabkan oleh pola pikir kewirausahaan yang masih rendah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan pola pikir kewirausahaan pada ibu-ibu IKBI PTPN XIV sebagai salah satu upaya pemberdayaan wanita khususnya dalam bidang kewirausahaan. Manfaat yang diharapkan adalah ibu-ibu IKBI dapat mengembangkan pola pikir kewirausahaan melalui penambahan pengetahuan dan motivasi berwirausaha sebagai modal dasar dalam membangun usaha. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama 2 hari dengan media aplikasi zoom yang dihadiri dengan 83 peserta pada hari pertama dan 62 peserta pada hari kedua. Metode dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan pengembangan pola pikir kewirausahaan dengan memberikan materi mengenai kewirausahaan dan pola pikir kewirausahaan, pengenalan pribadi, minat, bakat dan keterampilan untuk peluang usaha, kiat membangun usaha dan sharing session tentang tips dan trik berwirausaha. Metode penyampaian materi yang digunakan adalah ceramah dan diskusi dengan media presentasi dan tanya jawab. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan respon positif peserta pada kegiataan pelatihan yang dilakukan.
