Abstract

This study contained two variables, namely X1 as Work Motivation and X2 as the Work Environment. This study aims to determine the influence of motivation and work environment on job satisfaction in SMEs Nahla Toys Cikampek.  The Data used is primary data collected through observation, interview, distributing questionnaires and documentation. The hypothesis in this research is the influence of motivation and work environment on job satisfaction in SMEs Nahla Toys Cikampek. To measure the magnitude of influence of these variables using multiple linear regression and the help of the program software IBM SPSS 25. Based on the results of the data analysis, obtained value of the coefficient of determination amounted to 5.05%. In addition to the value of the correlation coefficient amounted to 0.711. While the results of partial test (t test) indicated that work environment variables have a significant effect on job satisfaction. It is obtained that the results of t count bigger than t table. Then based on these results it can be concluded that the work environment influence the job satisfaction of employees in SMES Nahla Toys Cikampek.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of motivation intrinsic and extrinsic on work productivity in SMEs Tahu Sehat, located in the Village of Dawuan, Cikampek District, Karawang Regency. The method used in this research is Multiple Linear Regression. The type of research used is descriptive research and verification. The population in this research is employees of SMEs Tahu Sehat as many as 15 people. In addition, the sampling technique using saturated sampling. The data collection technique is done by using the parameters of the likert scale. The results of the questionnaire will be analyzed by the method of Multiple Linear Regression using SPSS Version 25. The results of the research prove that the influence between the variables of intrinsic motivation on work productivity. While extrinsic motivation has no effect. However, of the two variables influence simultaneously on work productivity.

Abstract

This present study investigates the representation of tolerance values in cultural and religious difference in EFL textbook approved by Ministry of Education and Culture (MONEC). The study used critical discourse analysis to investigate both visually and verbally text that represent tolerance values in the ELT textbook for Junior High School grade VII entitled “Bahasa Inggris: When English Rings a Bell”. The data was analyzed by  using the Miles, Huberman, & Saldana’s (2016) model that consisted of data identification, data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and verification. The finding shows that textbook contains the tolerance values in cultural and religious difference. The other finding indicates that tolerance values are mostly predominantly depicted in the textbook through activity with fellow students or peers such as behaving politely to elder, caring to peers and respect to others habitual action without distinguish between religion and ethnic culture. It was suggested that language textbook designers need to be fully aware of tolerance values and tolerance sensitivity when writing language textbook. This is because language textbook teach not merely linguistics and communicative competence/skills but also knowledge and deliver the moral messages. Keywords: Critical discourse analysis, English textbook, moral education, tolerance values

Abstract

ABSTRAKDesa Ciparage Jaya terletak di Kecamatan Tempuran merupakan salah satu desa yang menjadi tujuan lokasi KKN Tematik-Integratif Unsika 2021. Desa didominasi oleh wilayah pesisir pantai dan juga permukiman warga. Desa tersebut memiliki beberapa permasalahan potensial diantaranya yang berkaitan dengan judul KKN Unsika 2021 yang telah dilaksanakan. Di daerah pesisir pantai biasanya hanya dipergunakan untuk pedagang dan objek wisata bagi penduduk sekitar. Di bidang kelistrikan, cukup banyak beberapa jalan yang belum diberi penerangan dan beberapa penduduk yang belum mendapatkan fasilitas listrik. Dari permasalahan dua bidang tersebut maka KKN Unsika 2021 melakukan upaya untuk menyelesaikan masalah melalui program solutif yang telah dilaksanakan yaitu pemasangan Mesin Kinetik Turbin di daerah pesisr pantai. Hal ini guna memanfaatkan angin untuk keperluan penunjang kebutuhan energi di desa tersebut. Program yang telah dilaksanakan diharapkan dapat membantu menyelesaikan masalah yang ada di desa tersebut walaupun masih belum cukup untuk dapat menyelesaikan semua permasalahan. Namun setidaknya dapat membantu sedikit permasalahan dan mengubah pola pikir serta perilaku sosial masyarakat tentang Mesin Kinetik Turbin dan Solar Cell/Photovoltaic sesuai dengan tujuan dilaksanakannya KKN. Kata kunci: pesisir pantai; mesin kinetik turbin; solar cell/photovoltaic. ABSTRACTCiparage Jaya Village is located in Tempuran District is one of the villages that became the destination of the Location of KKN Thematic-Integrative Unsika 2021. The village is dominated by coastal areas as well as residents' settlements. The village has several potential problems including those related to the title of KKN Unsika 2021 which has been implemented. In coastal areas are usually only used for traders and tourist attractions for the surrounding residents. In the field of electricity, quite a few roads that have not been illuminated and some residents who have not received electricity facilities. From the problems of these two fields, KKN Unsika 2021 made efforts to solve the problem through a solutive program that has been implemented, namely the installation of Turbine Kinetic Engines in the coastal pesisr area. This is to use the wind for the purposes of supporting energy needs in the village. The program that has been implemented is expected to help solve the problems in the village even though it is still not enough to be able to solve all problems. But at least it can help a little problem and change the mindset and social behavior of the community about kinetic turbine engines and solar cells/photovoltaic in accordance with the purpose of implementing KKN. Keywords: pesisir pantai; mesin kinetik turbin; solar cell/photovoltaic.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate a teacher’s experiences and difficulties of Google Classroom-assisted teaching writing. This research used narrative inquiry as a research design. It used interview as the data collection technique to answer the research questions. One English teacher who taught in two grades of Vocational School in Karawang, Indonesia participated in this research. The finding shows that the teacher had particular ways to deliver the material assisted by Google classroom. To work with the Google Classroom, the teacher also used the PJBB Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh to deliver the material which was fit to school curriculum. To assess the students, the teacher used to ask the students to write down the answers of its task, and then they take the picture of its answers so they send it into Google Classroom. To conclude, this study shows that the internet data, device, student and teachers' ability, and so many other factors were given a big impact on online class, especially on Google Classroom-assisted teaching writing. The next researcher hopefully will conduct the research in the different focus of study, different learning media, and different classes or grades and also the next researcher hopefully conduct it with more participants. Because of this study just focused on writing narrative text lessons assisted by Google Classroom, the future research with another focus of study for example reading, speaking, listening, and so on hopefully will be conducted.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to explore pre-service English teachers’ experience in facing challenges and their coping strategies in managing synchronous virtual classrooms during practicum. This study employed narrative inquiry as its research design with thematic analysis for analyzing the data collected through semi-structured interviews with three pre-service English teachers. The study found that the pre-service English teachers encountered several problems in managing synchronous virtual classrooms, such as 1) students’ negative attitude; 2) insufficient instruction time; 3) lack of relationship or connection between teacher and students; 4) lack of proper feedback from mentor teacher and supervisor. Despite of several challenges mentioned above, the pre-service teachers had some strategies to deal with them, as follows 1) seeking emotional support from peers; 2) actively communicating with expert teachers; 3) solving problems through networking; 4) improving their strategies and skill. In summary, even though the pre-service English teachers faced several challenges, they could manage to overcome such challenges by identifying their needs and available access to improve their classroom situation. Keywords:  Challenges, Coping Strategies, Teaching Practicum, Virtual Classroom Management

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the students’ engagement in implementing the stage of peer feedback in learning recount text writing skill and the students’ perception toward the peer feedback strategy in learning recount text writing skill. This study was collected using qualitative approach which provided descriptive explanation. The subject of this study were four junior high school students. Since these days COVID-19 was still happening, this research didn’t carried out in school instead of through Zoom Meeting for the first meeting and the second meeting at researcher’s place within the health protocols. The instruments of this study were field note and questionnaire. Moreover, the result found that the students engagement in implementing each stage of peer feedback strategy were very good. Furthermore, the students perception toward peer feedback strategy were as follow, (1) peer feedback technique helped them in learning writing recount texts, (2) peers' comments and suggestions had an impact for them to be better in writing recount text, (3) having problems while checking their peers’ works since they were lack of grammatical and limit in vocabullaries. Keywords:  Peer feedback, Writing Recount Text, Students’ Engagement, Students’ Perception

Abstract

The development of information technology in the world is so fast, this has resulted in Indonesia especially being affected by this technological development, of course a positive thing for the Indonesian people can also feel the rapid development of technology at this time. Many innovations have sprung up to facilitate all activities that do require technology to streamline and streamline time or production as well as in the field of education. The effectiveness of technology in the field of special education for elementary school children is very influential on their willingness to learn, because there are many impacts that will be caused later on the quality of education or a direct impact on their students because here they use assistive devices such as smartphones which will later cause addiction to gadgets. which is currently difficult to overcome. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze how effective the use of googlemeet is in online learning methods during a pandemic and what impact online learning will have on elementary school (SD) students. The results of this study are that technological developments are very influential on all fields, especially in the field of education but there are many negative impacts that are caused to children when they are too addicted to the smartphones they use, therefore parental control is very important here to prevent unwanted things

Abstract

Sejarah adalah pijakan penting yang wajib diketahui oleh seorang perencana pendidikan, karena dari sana setiap aspek yang membangun budaya bangsa ini berasal. Dengan mempelajari masa lalu, terutama bangsa-bangsa yang besar dan menciptakan peradaban, perencana memiliki rujukan yang kuat untuk mengambil setiap keputusan. Studi literatur ini menyajikan sejarah tata kota sejak zaman primitif hingga era Bizantium. Abstract

The global market created in the industrial revolution era 4.0 requires human resources that have skills and soft skills in accordance with market needs. Educational institutions are challenged to be able to adapt to produce resources that can meet market needs. Therefore educational institutions must be able to provide an educational environment adapted to the real conditions of the global market industry, so curriculum management and learning are needed in line with the needs of the industry. One strategy that can be implemented into the curriculum and teaching is the teaching factory model which is a learning model that provides a real environment for students to develop skills and understand the challenges involved in daily industrial practice. This study aims to make curriculum management and learning design at the macro, messo, and micro level using the teaching factory so that it can produce human resources who are ready to face the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0.
