Abstract

Hybrid turbine is a combination of two different types of turbines which are still in one axis. This research used a propeller turbine with a 2 meters diameter of an S833 blade profile and combined with a 0.5 meters diameter of venturi turbine (Energy Ball Wind Turbine) with a total of 5 blades. This venturi turbine is placed in front of the propeller turbine. This research varies the number of propeller turbine blades, that are 3.4 and 5 blades. The first test is data retrieval on propeller turbines, then the retrieval of data is carried out on hybrid turbines and the two tests can be compared to the result of performance. From this research, it can be seen that hybrid turbines with 5 propeller blades produce greater generator power than other variations of 1.16 watts at 5 m/s wind speed. However, the energy wind turbine ball produces the largest average increase in generator power that is 28.55% by using 5 propeller blades. Abstract

The Biogas Power Plant comes with a form of alternative energy handling efforts originating from POME Because of the engine is continuously operated without stopping, it requires maintenance so that the engine's performance is maintained properly. The decrease in engine performance produces wasted energy so that engine efficiency is not optimal. In addition, the maintenance process takes a long time until the engine can be operatedagain. This is a problem because the maintenance process is carried out on all cylinder engines. The purpose of this study is to calculate and analyze the energy on the left and right exhaust on the gas engine Guascor SFGM 560 Miller Cycle. From the analysis, the biggest energy efficiency is in the left cylinder in the first period which was59.82% at 15.00 PM. and as a comparison in second period the highest efficiency is at 12.00 that was equal to 66.45%.Keywords: miller cycle, biogas, gas engine, energy, effisiensi energy

Abstract

The hybrid wind turbine in this study is a horizontal axis wind turbine, whichcombining of two different wind turbines.A turbine propeller shaft is 2 m in diameter with blade profiles of S833 and ball wind energy (venturi turbine) of 0.5 meters by the number blade of 5 pieces. Venturi turbine is placed in front of the propeller turbine. This study varying the distance between the rear hub of Venturi turbine by propeller turbine hub is 5 cm, 10 cm and 15 cm. Testing begins with collecting data on the turbine propeller, then performed the retrieval of data from the merger of Venturi turbine with turbine propeller hub by varying the distance between the two turbines. This study suggests that the addition of Venturi wind turbine in front of the propeller wind turbine produces round and a higher power than the wind turbine propellers without Venturi wind turbine in front of it. The addition of the power generated in the generator's turbine hybrid that a distance of 5 cm power generators will increase the amount of 12.7%, while at a distance of 10 cm power generator increases the amount of 28.5%, and the last on the addition of 15 cm distance power generators increased 34.3% magnitude.
