Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the strengthening of character education based on the Indonesian language learning class curriculum 2013 class XI high school 1 Jambi City. This research uses a qualitative approach and type of case study research. The subject of the study was the Indonesian language teacher class XI. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation sheets, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this study include the teacher's lesson plan, implementation, and evaluation of class XI learning. Strengthening character education has 5 values, namely religion, independence, nationalism, mutual cooperation, and integrity. The results of research on strengthening classroom-based character education in planning can be seen from the lesson plan. The results of the study can be concluded that the implementation of strengthening class-based character education in Indonesian language learning curriculum 2013 class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Jambi City has been carried out in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Culture Regulation No. 22 of 2016 Regarding Secondary Education Process Standards. The implementation of strengthening classroom-based character education has been carried out overall and the evaluation used by the teacher is the attitude, knowledge, and skills assessment. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis kelas pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kurikulum 2013 kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah guru bahasa Indonesia kelas XI. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi RPP guru, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran kelas XI. Penguatan pendidikan karakter memiliki 5 nilai yaitu religius, mandiri, nasionalis, gotong royong, dan integritas. Hasil penelitian penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis kelas pada perencanaan dilihat dari RPP. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis kelas dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kurikulum 2013 kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Kota Jambi sudah terlaksana sesuai dengan Permendikbud Nomor 22 Tahun 2016 Tentang Standar Proses Pendidikan Menengah. Pelaksanaan penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis kelas sudah terlaksana secara keseluruhan dan evaluasi yang digunakan oleh guru penilaian sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the competence of the high school teachers in Jambi in designing, implementing, and evaluating HOTS-oriented Indonesian Language learning. To answer this question, the concept of Indonesian Language learning was employed. This study used a qualitative design with case study technique. The data were comprised of the responses, learning process, and action conducted by the teachers. The respondents were selected using purposive sampling method by considering teacher’s academic qualifications. Data collection was performed through interview accompanied by focused group discussion (FGD), observation and document-ation. The results of this study showed that the Indonesian Language teachers had designed, implemented and evaluated students’ performance in HOTS-oriented Indonesian Language learning. Unfortunately, the teachers were less capable of synergizing the HOTS-oriented learning with pedagogical approaches, such as genre-based (text learning), scientificlearning and CLIL.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe the style of language based on the directness of the meaning contained in the traditional pantun Jambi. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, with stilistika approach. The data in this study is the style of figurative language which is the scope of stylistic analysis. The data source in the research is the rhyme contained in the book "Principles of Traditional Shoot Jambi Nine Village Head Jilid III Customary Literature Jambi". The style of language based on the directness of the meaning found in the Jambi customary pantun is: (1) the rhetorical language style, which includes (a) the euphemismus or euphemism style, (b) the style of the asonance language, (c) the language style of pleonasme and tautology; ) the alliterational style of language, and (2) the figurative style of language which includes (a) the style of the metaphorical language, (b) the language style of personification, (c) the language style of the sinekdoke, (d) the language of irony. The conclusion of this research is the style of language based on the directness of the dominant meaning that is used is rhetorical style and figurative language style. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to Research and Development research or research and development. This research produces an assessment instrument based on authentic assessment characteristics as an evaluation tool on exposition text material in grade X SMA N 1 Kota Jambi. Through this research, it is expected that the assessment instrument based on authentic assessment characteristic used as an evaluation tool on exposition text material in grade X SMA N 1 Kota Jambi becomes more qualified and effective in order to achieve the objectives of the learning itself. From the results of the current study, the assessment instrument used by teachers in Class X SMA N 1 Kota Jambi is in the category of eligibility and suitability of 60.00% (quite appropriate). Therefore, the analysis of the shortage of instruments to be further developed. The development of the instrument is carried out to improve the quality and effectiveness expected to increase the chances of achieving the maximum learning objectives. Abstract

Abstrak Debat kandidat kepala daerah menjadi salah satu sarana untuk meningkatkan kualitas kandidat. Para kandidat akan menjelaskan latar belakang dan program kerja kepada masyarakat. Untuk itu para kandidat dituntut untuk menjelaskan program yang ditawarkan kepada masyarakat dengan bahsa yang tepat. Selain itu, untuk menghadapi lawan debat perlu menggunakan strategi dan bahasa yang mencakup maksim-maksim prinsip sopan santun yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan kesantunan berbahasa yakni prinsip sopan santun dalam debat publik Kabupaten Kerinci Provinsi Jambi tahun 2018. Panjangnya ujaran digunakan secara maksimal untuk menyerang mitra tutur yang dianggap tidak sepaham dan juga untuk mempromosikan keunggulan diri sendiri serta keinginan untuk memaksimalkan kerugian pada mitra tutur. Dalam pelanggaran maksim-maksim tersebut memunculkan maksud berupa menginformasikan, menyindir, berpendapat, menyarankan, mengkritik, mengeluh, serta pembelaan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan luaran memaksimalkan pelanggaran maksim untuk debat kandidat. Kata Kunci: Kesantunan berbahasa, prinsip sopan santun Abstract Regional leader candidate debate become one of the means to increase the quality of the candidate. The candidates will explain their background and work program to the community. Because of it the candidates have to explain the program that they offer in the correct language. In addition, to face their contender, they need to use the correct language and strategy that include the use of correct politeness maxims. This research aim to describe a speaking politeness specifically manners principle in Kerinci district’s regent candidate public debate 2018. The maximum length of the utterance to attack their contender with different understanding and to promote their own strength and to maximize their contender’s loss. The maxim violation mean to inform, satirize, argue, criticize, complain, and defend. This research generate contribution to maximize the maxim’s violation to candidate debate. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan materi mata kuliah Wacana di Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Jambi. Penelitian pengembangan didasarkan kesulitan mahasiswa dalam menganlisis wacana. Dalam penelitian pengambangan ini dilengkapi dnegan berbgaai contoh wacana iklan yang sering ditemui oleh mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: 1) penilaian ahli meteri yang mencakup aspek kesesuaian isi, kalayakan bahasa, kelayakan penyajian, kontekstual memperoleh rata-rata skor 88.4175; 2) hasil ahli desain 86.768; 3) uji coba perorangan terhadap 3 orang mahasiswa memperoleh nilai rata-rata mencapai 87.81 dengan kategori valid; 4) hasil uji coba terbatas terhadap 38 responden mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Jambi semester 5 diperoleh presentase rata-rata N-Gain kognitif 0.58 dan Psikomotor 0.53. Materi yang dilengkapi dengan contoh iklan layanan masyarakat yang sering ditemui mahasiswa ini menujukkan bahwa materi sebagai bahan ajar diperlukan mahasiswa sebagai panduan dalam menganalisis wacana iklan layanan masyarakat. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan materi, wacana iklan Abstract This study aims to develop the Discourse course materie in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Jambi. Development research is based on students' difficulties in analyzing discourse. In this floating research, it is completed with examples of advertising discourse that is often encountered by students. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded as follows: 1) evaluation of material experts which includes aspects of content suitability, language suitability, presentation eligibility, contextuality obtain an average score of 88,4175; 2) the design expert results 86,768; 3) individual trials of 3 students received an average score of 87.81 with a valid category; 4) the results of a limited trial of 38 respondents of the Language and Literature Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Jambi semester 5 obtained an average percentage of cognitive N-Gain 0.58 and Psychomotor 0.53. The materie, which is equipped with examples of public service advertisements that are often encountered by students, shows that the materie as teaching material is needed by students as a guide in analyzing public service advertisement discourse. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis karangan persuasi dengan menggunakan media gambar siswa kelas VIII D SMPN 3 Kota Jambi Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Instrumen pada penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes unjuk kerja menulis karangan persuasi. Penilaian dalam penulisan karangan persuasi berdasarkan struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan teks persuasi yakni adanya rangkaian argument, terdapat fakta-fakta, ajakan, serta penggunaan kata penghubung yang argumentatif. Selanjutnya siswa menulis karangan persuasi dengan menggunakan media gambar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil karya dari kemampuan menulis karangan persuasi siswa. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII D sebanyak 33 orang siswa. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa instrument tes menulis karangan persuasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil kerja siswa yang diteliti oleh dua penilai yaitu penilai 1 (guru bahasa Indonesia) dan penilai 2 (peneliti). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis karangan persuasi dengan menggunakan media gambar siswa kelas VIII D pada aspek menuliskan rangkaian argument mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 80, kemampuan menuliskan fakta-fakta mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 78, serta menuliskan ajakan mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 80, dan kemampuan penggunaan kaidah kebahasaan memperoleh nilai rata-rata 76. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis karangan persuasi siswa kelas VIII D SMPN 3 Kota Jambi Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 berada pada kategori mampu dengan nilai rata-rata 79 dari hasil keseluruhan aspek yang dinilai. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan simpulan tersebut, disarankan kepada siswa kelas VIII D SMPN 3 Kota Jambi yang memiliki nilai di bawah rata-rata agar lebih sering berlatih menulis baik di sekolah atau pun di luar sekolah, lebih sering membaca dan mempelajari tentang kaidah kebahasaan. Saran untuk guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia, sebagai pemegang peran pada kegiatan pembelajaran agar lebih memperhatikan dan meningkatkan kemampuan mengajar, lebih sering lagi menggunakan dan memvariasikan media pada saat mengajar, agar kegiatan belajar lebih menyenangkan lagi. Kepada peneliti lain supaya bisa menjadi pedoman dan perbandingan dalam melakukan penelitian yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Kata kunci: menulis, karangan, persuasi, media, gambar

Abstract

The assessment of critical thinking in the teaching of Bahasa Indonesia is an essential part of teaching syntax because most Bahasa Indonesia teachers of high schools in Jambi still use objective test assessments or low-order thinking skills (LOTS). In fact, there are still many Bahasa Indonesia teachers of high schools in Jambi who have not implemented HOTS-based assessment, so the teaching process and learning outcomes of writing HOTS-based scientific texts are still low. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to study the critical thinking assessments in writing Indonesian scientific texts in high school to find authentic and contextual assessment designs to achieve learning objectives. The research method used is a mixed method of the concurrent embedded design. The qualitative data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, while the quantitative data were collected by using an essay test. The results of the study indicate that Indonesian language teachers have designed critical thinking assessments in writing scientific texts by conducting basic competency (BC) analysis, analyzing competency achievement indicators (CAI) by considering action verbs (AV), making stimuli, making question grids, constructing question criteria, and scoring by considering critical thinking aspects, including (1) focus, (2) supporting reasons, (3) organization, (4) conventions, and (5) integration. Student learning outcomes in writing scientific texts show good critical thinking competence in accordance with learning objectives.

Abstract

The "Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka" (MBKM) policy at the study program level requires analysis and mapping as well as the preparation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE)-based Graduate Learning Outcomes in the form of creative products that are in accordance with the competency demands of Subject Learning Outcomes. To implement the policy, an in-depth study is needed on implementing the Jambi Malay Tamadun learning course in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program in Jambi province. The research method uses mixed methods concurrent embedded design. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation techniques for qualitative data, while quantitative data used an essay test. Based on the research results, PBSI lecturers have carried out: (1) analysis of outcomes-based curriculum (OBC), outcomes-based learning and teaching (OBLT), and outcome-based assessment and evaluation (OBAE), (2) analysis of CPL, (3) analysis of CPKM, (4) Sub-CPMK analysis, (5) reviewing study materials or materials, (6) implementing learning with the SCL approach, PjBL method, Case Method, contextual, and (7) assessing student learning outcomes in the form of creative souvenir product portfolios Jambi Malay traditional crafts.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah melihat persepsi guru terhadap model PjBL pada kurikulum prototipe. Metode penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah kualitatif, peneliti akan menjabarkan data hasil kusioner dan wawancara. Pendekatan yang dilakukan peneliti fenomenologi. Data penelitia ini adalah hasil kusioner dan wawancara terhadap guru. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah guru di provinsi Jambi yang bersedia mengisi kusioner dan melakukan wawancara. Validitas yang dilakukan peneliti ialah menggunakan triangulasi data. Data dianalisis menggunakan teori Miles and Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru dapat melaksanakan pembelajaran menggunakan model PjBL. Namun persepsi ini harus disesuaikan dengan karakteristik pembelajaran pada kurikulum prototipe. Oleh karena itu, peran pemerintah memberikan pelatihan dan peran guru meningkatkan kemampuannya dengan cara berpikir lebih kritis sangat dibutuhkan.
