Abstract

Abstrak: This study aims to (1). determine the effect of learning model Learning Cycle 5E on the material Invertebrates of the science process skills of students (2) the effect of the model Learning Cycle 5E on the material invertebrates effect on cognitive learning outcomes of students (3) determine the ability of teachers to manage learning biology through learning model Learning Cycle 5E in improving skills and the cognitive learning process of students. This study is a quasi experimental research with the study design using the design of "The Non-Equivalent Control Group". The sample in this research is class X SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Surabaya. Data collected with the test and non-test (observation) using research instruments observation sheet teachers 'skills in the management of learning, observation sheet skill students' science process, pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively test statistic T. From these results it can be concluded that: (1) There is an effect Learning Cycle 5E learning model on Invertebrate material to the students' science process skills; (2) Model Learning Cycle 5E on Invertebrate material effect on cognitive learning outcomes of students. The average value of completeness in classical the experimental class amounted to 78.2%; (3) ability to understand biology teachers manage learning by using Learning Cycle 5E models in enhancing science process skills of students and student learning outcomes SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Surabaya in he very good category.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengetahui (1). bagaimana keterlaksanaan model  Predict-Observer-Explain (POE) dalam pembelajaran pada siswa (2). bagaimana keterampilan proses sains siswa setelah di terapkan model Predict-Observer-Explain (POE) (3). bagaimana penguasaan konsep siswa setelah di terapkan meodel Predict-Observer-Explain (POE). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra-eksperimen dengan rancangan “One Group Pre-test Pos-test Design”. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X IPA 2 MA Muhammadiyah 01 Paciran, tehnik pengumpulan data dilakukan secara tes dan non tes (observasi) menggunakan instrumen keterlaksanaan model Predict-Observer-Explain (POE) dalam pembelajaran, lembar pengamatan keterampilan proses sains siswa, pretest dan posttest Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan statistic uji T. penelitian ini disimpulkan : (1). Keterlaksanaan model Predict-Observer-Explain (POE) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada kategori sangat baik; (2). Ketrampilan proses sains siswa termasuk kedalam kategori baik Sesuai dengan perhitungan yang dilakuakan dengan rata – rata yang di dapat adalah 80,00% dan aspek keterampilan proses yang signifikan mengalami peneingkatan adalah aspek mengamati dan mengukur.; (3). Peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa dapat dilihat dari perbandingan nilai rata-rata ketuntasan secara klasikal pada kelas X IPA 2 yang pada awalnya 0%  menjadi 79,31%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui efektivitas pemberian perasan umbi Bit (Beta vulgaris. L) terhadap penurunan kadar glukosa darah mencit (mus musculus. L); (2) mengetahui konsentrasi perasan umbi Bit (Beta vulgaris. L) yang paling efektif terhadap penurunan kadar glukosa darah mencit (Mus musculus. L). Jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan “Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design”. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 6 kali pengulangan. Variabel bebas adalah perasan berupa filtrat umbi Bit (Beta vulgaria. L) dengan konsentrasi 0%, 25%, 50% dan 75% sedangkan variabel terikat adalah penurunan kadar glukosa darah. Analisis data statistik menggunakan uji ANOVA dengan tarif signifikansi α = 0.05 yang dilanjutkan dengan uji LSD. Simpulan penelitian ini yakni (1) ada pengaruh pemberian perasan umbi Bit (Beta vulgaris. L) terhadap penurunan kadar glukosa darah mencit (Mus musculus. L); (2) konsentrasi perasan umbi Bit (beta vulgaris. L) yang paling efektif menurunkan kadar glukosa darah mencit (Mus musculus. L) yaitu konsentrasi 75% dengan hasil rata-rata penurunan kdar glukosa 29,7 mg/dl dari kadar glukosa awal 130,7 mg/dl.

Abstract

Abstract: This study is aimed to determine: (1) the diversity of high-level-plant in Tlontoraja Village, Pamekasan Madura; (2) the form of teaching materials that can be made from the results of studies of high-level-plant diversity in the Village of Tlontoraja, Pamekasan Madura. This research is a descriptive research with survey method. The subjects in this study are the forest of Sumber Mata Air-Dungendak, Tlontoraja, Pamekasan, Madura. While the object of this research is all plants which are in the transects and plots. This research used transect method and sample plot which was divided into 5 blocks and each transect contains 5 plots in 20 x 20 meters. This observation was conducted to identify trees, poles, stakes and seedlings. The results showed that the highest INP with the following details; Seedling is a Pennisetum purpureum species with INP 34.66%; Stake that is a Tectona grandis species with INP 114,36%; Pole that is a species of Schoutenia ovata with INP 78,29% and tree that is species of Lannea coromandelica with INP 163,79%. The conclusions of this study are (1) the index of diversity in the forest belongs to the same category: medium, with the following details: 1.24 trees; Stakes 1.9; Pole 1.8 and seedlings 2.39; (2) The teaching material made from this research result is an encyclopedia of high-level-plants categories.

Abstract

Kembara Locusts (migratory locust) is corn and rice pests that attack the leaves inhibits the photosynthesis process. Bintaro Leaf (Cerbera manghas) is known to have potential as an insecticide plant because it has flavonoids, saponin, and tannins. This research is therefore aimed to find out (1) the effect of various filtrate concentrations on Bintaro leaf (Cerbera manghas) against the Kembara locusts movement activities wanderer (Locusta migratoria); (2) the form of teaching materials that can be made from the results of this research. This research was experimental research using Randomized Posttest Only design with 4 treatments and 6 repetitions. The concentration used was 25%, 50% and 75%. The independent variables this research was different filtrate concentrations of Bintaro leaf (Cerbera manghas) while the dependent variable is the movement activities of Kembara locusts (Locusta migratoria). Based on the result of Anova analysis, it is found that there is an effect of the filtrate concentration of Bintaro leaf (Cerbera manghas) on the movement activities of Kembara locusts (Locusta migratoria). While the most effective concentration as an insecticide found is a concentration of 50%, this is because low concentrations can give a significant effect to the movement activities. Lastly, these findings can be utilized as teaching material on the topic of pest and disease control at Vocational High Schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat literasi sains matapelajaran biologi pada Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan tingkat literasi sains dari aspek konten, konteks, dan proses pembelajaran biologi SMA dari indikator Programme for International Student Assesmen (PISA) yang meliputi: 1) mengenali permasalahan yang dapat diselidiki secara ilmiah; 2) mengidentifikasi kata kunci untuk memperoleh informasi ilmiah; 3) mengenal fitur penyelidikan ilmiah; 4) mengaplikasikan pengetahuan sains dalam situasi yang diberikan; 5) memprediksikan atau menginterpretasikan fenomena secara ilmiah dan memprediksi perubahan; 6) mengidentifikasi deskripsi, eksplanasi, dan prediksi yang tepat; 7) menafsirkan bukti ilmiah dan membuat serta mengomunikasikan kesimpulan; 8) mengidentifikasi bukti dan alasan dibalik kesimpulan; 9) merefleksikan implikasi sosial dan perkembangan teknologi dan sains.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik studi dokumen RPP dan wawancara beberapa guru biologi. Subjek penelitian adalah 8 SMA yang berakreditasi A (Negeri dan Swasta) se-Kabupaten Gresik dengan teknik cluster sampling. Objek Penelitian adalah tingkat literasi sains. Simpulan penelitian ini bahwa literasi sains matapelajaran biologi pada subjek penelitian 69,91% masuk kategori sedang. Sekolah sampel sudah memenuhi literasi sains (biologi) pada aspek konteks 79,16% dan aspek proses 75% masuk kategori tinggi. Sedangkan literasi sains yang ditinjau dari aspek konten masih mencapai 65,62% dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the readiness of teachers' perceptions and science subjects in SMP Muhammadiyah of Surabaya on the implementation of Curriculum 2013 and discoverd the obstacles facing teachers. The subjects were teachers of science subjects in SMP Muhammadiyah of Surabaya, by sampling quotas with interview and descriptive analysis. The final conclusion (1). Teachers of Science Subjects in SMP Muhammadiyah of Surabaya found Curriculum 2013 that had been a good year because it could make students active and able to learn the problems faced. The 2013 Curriculum for science subjects was in conformity applied to the junior high school students, as a solution to the shortcomings inherent in the SBC, and the form of the government's efforts to advance the next generation; (2). Generally Teachers of Science Subjects in SMP Muhammadiyah of Surabaya that had conducted the Readiness of 2013 Curriculum. It appeared from the preparation of lesson plan that was in accordance with the technical guidelines lesson plan in the 2013 Curriculum. The training curriculum of 2013 had been followed; (3). The obstacles encountered mostly teachers on curriculum assessment system in 2013, considered by many, complex, and required a longer time to completion.Keywords: Perception, Readiness of Teachers, 2013 Curriculum

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims (1) to know the content of Metal Pb and Cd on Mujair Fish (2) to know the consumption feasibility of Mujair Fish based on the quality SNI  7387:2009; (3) Implementing the research result on Biology teaching material of SMA. This research was qualitative with ex post facto method. This research was done on January to July 2017 in of Tambak Oso River at Waru sub district Sidoarjo regency and tested in BBLK Surabaya. Data collecting technique by taking sample of Mujair fish in Tambak Oso River. The subject of this research were Mujair fish (Oreochromis mossambicus) while the research object were the heavy metal Pb and Cd. The technique sampling was purposive sampling. The analysis technique by comparing the research result and the standard quality of SNI 7387:2009 about maximum limit of heavy metal contamination in food. The results showed that heavy metal content in mujair fish in Tambak Oso River Waru Sub district, Sidoarjo regency, ranging from 0.027-0.041 ppm for heavy metal content and ranging from 0.001 to 0.012 ppm for heavy metal content Cd. These results indicate that mujair fish is still feasible to be consumed because it is still below the quality standard based on SNI 7387: 2009. The results of this study can be made of teaching materials in the form of brochures of heavy metal pollution.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mendeskripsikan pengaruh pembelajaran modifikasi CAM (Concept Attainment Model) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X IPA MA Al-Ishlah Sendangagung; (2) Mendeskripsikan pengaruh pembelajaran modifikasi CAM (Concept Attainment Model) terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas X IPA MA Al-Ishlah Sendangagung; (3) Mengetahui keterlaksanaan pembelajaran modifikasi CAM (Concept Attainment Model) keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas X IPA MA Al-Ishlah Sendangagung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Pre-Eksperimen. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan desain kelompok kontrol desain one-group pretest-posttest design. Sebagai sampel adalah siswa kelas X IPA MA Al-Ishlah Sendangagung. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui teknik tes dan observasi, menggunakan instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, lembar pengamatan motivasi belajar siswa, dan lembar pengamatan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran modifikasi CAM (ConceptAttainment Model). Teknik analisis data secara deskriptif dan statistik uji-T. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh pembelajaran modifikasi CAM (Concept Attainment Model) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas X MA Al-Ishlah Sendangagung. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran modifikasi CAM (Concept Attainment Model) pada materi jamur dikategorikan sangat baik.
