Abstract

ABSTRAKKebutuhan layanan data pada teknologi 5G sangatlah tinggi. FBMC sebagai solusi dari kelemahan yang ada di OFDM menjadi teknologi yang digunakan pada komunikasi 5G. Pada OFDM, penggunaan ekualisasi sudah sangat banyak dilakukan penelitiannya dan menunjukkan hasil yang bervariasi tergantung dari jenis ekualisasi yang digunakan. Beberapa jenis ekualisasi yang digunakan pada modulasi OFDM antara lain Zero Forcing dan MMSE. Pada penelitian ini, beberapa variasi ekualisasi tersebut diterapkan pada FBMC dan dianalisis perbandingan kinerjanya. Penggunaan modulasi Offset-QAM yang dipadukan dengan FBMC mempunyai fungsi sebagaimana cyclic prefix pada OFDM (CP-OFDM) yakni untuk mengurangi inter symbol interference (ISI). Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa nilai BER pada FBMC yang menggunakan ekualisasi MMSE pada SNR 5 dB mempunyai nilai sebesar 0,2941 sedangkan BER pada FBMC yang menggunakan ekualisasi ZF sebesar 0,2875. Nilai SER untuk ZF sebesar 0,5514 dan untuk MMSE sebesar 0,5391. Kapasitas kanal Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kinerja FBMC dengan menggunakan ekualisasi MMSE lebih baik dibanding Zero Forcing.Kata kunci: FBMC, Offset-QAM, ekualisasi, Zero Forcing, MMSE ABSTRACTThe needs of data service on 5G technology is extremely necessary. FBMC as a solution over OFDM's drawbacks becomes the technology that is used in 5G communication. In OFDM technology, various equalisation methods have been used and final result highly depends on which method being used. Some of equalisation methods used in OFDM modulation are Zero Forcing (ZF) and MMSE. In this research, those equalisation methods were used on FBMC modulation and the performances were analyzed. The use of Offset-QAM modulation combined with FBMC actually functioning like Cyclic Prefix on OFDM which is to reduce Inter Symbol Interference (ISI). The result shows that BER value on FBMC that used MMSE equalisation when SNR 5 dB equals to 0.2941 whereas BER value on FBMC that used ZF equals to 0.2875. The value of SER on ZF is 0.5514 and MMSE is 0.5391. Channel Capacity calculation also shows that FBMC performance with MMSE is better than Zero Forcing.Keywords: FBMC, Offset-QAM, equalization, Zero Forcing, MMSE

Abstract

Pada pengiriman data, sinyal yang diterima oleh antena penerima pasti tidak sama dengan sinyal yang dikirim oleh antena pengirim. Pada penelitian ini, teknik K-Means Clustering diaplikasikan untuk proses pengembalian data bit sebagai fungsi demodulasi pada konstelasi M-Ary yang sebelumnya telah terganggu oleh noise dan fading di jaringan pita lebar. Modulasi digital yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu 16 QAM. Simulasi dilakukan pada kanal ideal (AWGN) menggunakan teknik multicarrier Filter Bank Multicarrier Offset QAM (FBMC OQAM) dengan equalizer Zero Forcing (ZF) dan tanpa ZF. Kinerja dari demapper k-means dievaluasi menggunakan Silhouette Coefficient menghasilkan sistem FBMC OQAM dengan penggunaan ZF memiliki kinerja lebih baik daripada sistem FBMC OQAM tanpa penggunaan equalizer. Seperti BER FBMC OQAM ZF pada SNR 0 dB hingga SNR 20 dB mengalami penurunan sebesar 0,3849, sedangkan pada FBMC OQAM memiliki BER yang relatif stabil. Selain mengalami penurunan pada parameter BER, sistem FBMC OQAM ZF mengalami peningkatan pada kapasitas kanal yang dihasilkan.

Abstract

Wireless communication applications in the future require high data rate and efficient spectrum services. To be able to provide a high bit rate we can use plural modulation or multicarrier. The use of FBMC OQAM modulation aims to provide increased performance compared to the previous modulation, namely OFDM, this is due to the use of FBMC with its orthogonality properties and the use of OQAM which has a stronger advantage over the dispersion effect and has a high data rate. To get the information signal issued, ZF (Zero Forcing) equalization is used. Simulation results show that FBMC OQAM with ZF can reduce BER from 0.4275 at SNR 0 dB to 0.01231 at SNR 25 dB. Whereas the OQAM without ZF FBMC has a BER value of 0.513 at SNR 0 dB to 0.5212 at SNR 25 dB. This shows that the FBMC OQAM using ZF has a lower BER value than the FBMC OQAM without ZF.  Keywords : FBMC, OQAM, ZF, SNR, BERAbstrakAplikasi komunikasi nirkabel di masa depan menuntut pelayanan data rate yang tinggi dan spektrum yang efisien. Penggunaan modulasi FBMC OQAM bertujuan memberikan peningkatan unjukkerja dibandingkan dengan modulasi sebelumnya yakni OFDM, hal ini karena penggunaan FBMC dengan sifat orthogonalitasnya dan penggunaan OQAM yang memiliki keunggulan lebih kuat terhadap efek dispersi serta memiliki kecepatan data yang tinggi. Untuk mendapatkan sinyal informasi yang dikirimkan, digunakan ekualisasi ZF (Zero Forcing). Hasil simulasi menunjukkan FBMC OQAM dengan ZF dapat menurunkan BER dari nilai 0,4275 pada SNR 0 dB menjadi 0,01231 pada SNR 25 dB. Sedangkan pada FBMC OQAM tanpa ZF memiliki nilai BER 0,513 pada SNR 0 dB menjadi 0,5212 pada SNR 25 dB. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa FBMC OQAM menggunakan ZF mempunyai nilai BER yang lebih rendah dibandingkan FBMC OQAM tanpa ZF. Kata Kunci : FBMC, OQAM, ZF, SNR, BER

Abstract

The importance of power control feasibility is closely related to the direct implementation of the system, which is related to interference between users in the femtocell network and also related to the optimal use of power transmit that can create a long-lasting battery. Implementation of the feasibility of power control in this study is focused on the centralized femtocell network with a multi-channel user. The research method in this study is based on the use of feasible solution algorithms in power control by observing the output of power vector that should be valued non-negative, which means that it can be implemented. This result indicates that all of user can reach the specified target SINR. SINR users will increase when there are additional channels for user groups. The average power of user will also decrease while increasing the amount of provided channels. The greater number of users in a user group, the less value SINR can be obtained

Abstract

One problem causing reduction of energy in satellite communications system is the misalignment of earth station antenna pointing to satellite. Error in pointing would affect the quality of information signal to energy bit in earth station. In this research, error in pointing angle occured only at receiver (Rx) antenna, while the transmitter (Tx) antennas precisely point to satellite. The research was conducted towards two satelites, namely TELKOM-1 and TELKOM-2. At first, measurement was made by directing Tx antenna precisely to satellite, resulting in an antenna pattern shown by spectrum analyzer. The output from spectrum analyzers is drawed with the right scale to describe swift of azimuth and elevation pointing angle towards satellite. Due to drifting from the precise pointing, it influenced the received link budget indicated by pattern antenna. This antenna pattern shows reduction of power level received as a result of pointing misalignment. As a conclusion, the increasing misalignment of pointing to satellite would affect in the reduction of received signal parameters link budget of downlink traffic.

Abstract

The use of sharing channel simultaneously has become the trend in telecommunication technology particularly in network with distributed users as the allocation of frequency spectrum becomes more crowded. The proposed power control method in cognitive femtocell network is based on game theory (commonly known as power control game, PCG). This method uses utility function formula as the goal of game theory for power strategy in power update process. Utility function formula of Proposed PCG includes channel sharing factor that aimed to accommodate the system requirement of channel sharing. The result showed that the implementation of channel factor is inversely proportional to the signal to noise and interference ratio (SINR) and transmit power, but proportional to utility function. In comparison of user transmit power and SINR with two other methods, can also be conclude that Proposed PCG was able to achieve SINR of 5.49 dB and above the SINR target 5 dB, while the Thalabani (TB) and Koskie-Gajic (KG) were only able to achieve respective SINR of 4.87 dB and 4.98 dB. It can be concluded that the Proposed PCG was better in achieving the SINR target. It means that the quality of service in this system can be fulfilled properly.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSistem FBMC merupakan teknologi MCM yang dapat menyediakan laju data bit yang tinggi. Modulasi digital OQAM digunakan untuk meningkatkan bit rate. Pengkodean kanal digunakan untuk mengoreksi kesalahan yang diakibatkan noise. Penilitian ini menggunakan pengkodean kanal kode konvolusi yang digunakan pada bagian pengirim dan algortima viterbi pada bagian penerima. Simulasi dilakukan pada FBMC OQAM dengan kode konvolusi dan tanpa kode konvolusi dengan perbandingan parameter BER dan kapasitas kanal terhadap SNR. Hasil penelitian menunjukan FBMC OQAM dengan kode konvolusi lebih baik daripada FBMC OQAM tanpa kode konvolusi pada SNR tinggi. Pada FBMC OQAM untuk mencapai BER 10-3 membutuhkan SNR 17 dB sedangkan pada FBMC OQAM dengan kode konvolusi membutuhkan SNR 16 dB. Peningkatan SNR dapat meningkatkan kapasitas kanal yang dihasilkan, pada SNR 0 dB menghasilkan 0,4535 bps/Hz dan SNR 20 dB menghasilkan 5,858 bps/Hz.Kata kunci: kode konvolusi, algoritma viterbi, FBMC, OQAM, BER ABSTRACTThe FBMC system is an MCM technology that can provide high bit data rates. OQAM digital modulation is used to increase the bit rate. Channel coding is used to correct errors caused by noise. This research uses convolutional code channel coding used on the sender and viterbi algorithms on the receiver. Simulations are carried out on FBMC OQAM with convolutional code and without convolutional code with a comparison of BER parameters and channel capacity to SNR. The results showed that FBMC OQAM with convolutional code was better than FBMC OQAM without convolutional code at high SNR. In FBMC OQAM to reach BER 10-3 requires SNR of 17 dB while in FBMC OQAM with convolutional code requires SNR of 16 dB. Increasing SNR can increase the resulting channel capacity, at 0 dB SNR it produces 0.4535 bps / Hz and SNR 20 dB produces 5.858 bps / Hz.Keywords: convolutional code, viterbi algorithm, FBMC, OQAM, BER

Abstract

The need for an efficient transmit power is affected by the condition of user and power control methods used. User conditions that categorized in cognitive femtocell networks included in the category as distributed user, so it required a distributed power control (DPC). To be implemented in cognitive radio network (CRN) communication, the system must be feasible. The problem raised in this research regarding the feasibility of implementing the DPC system on the CR network  To meet the feasible requirements, it is necessary to test the system's feasibility through testing the eigenvalues of the link gain matrix obtained and testing the non-negative power vector conditions. In this study, experiments were carried out on 2 schemes of the number of users, namely the scheme of 5 users and 10 users, to determine the power requirements of each user according to the channel distribution. The results obtained for both schemes show that the total eigenvalue of the link gain matrix for all channels is less than 1 and all users meet the non-negative power vector requirements. So it can be concluded that those two schemes are feasible to implement a distributed power control system. Furthermore, as more users use the channel and the closer the distance between users, the more power is consumed due to high interference, necessitating high power compensation in order to maintain the target of signal to interference and noise ratio (SINR).
