Abstract

AbstractSelf adjustment is an effort or an act for someone to interact properly with surroundings where he belong and can overcome obstacles or conflicts that comes from inner or outerside of him/herself so he/she can be accepted by neighborhood. This research intend to know the relation of independence with self adjustment on new students in Pondok Pesantren Diniyyah Putri Lampung. The Hypothesis submitted in this research is to know there is relation of independence with self adjustment on new Students in Pondok Pesantren Diniyyah Putri Lampung.Data collection method using two psychological scales which involve :scale self adjustment consists of 27 items which has coefficient realibility value amount α = 0,874, and independence scale consists of 47 items which has coefficient realibility value amount α = 0,884. These research subject are students in Pondok Pesantren Diniyyah Putri Lampung. Total Subject used are 100 students, subjects range aged 12 to 15 years old. Techniques used on this research is Proportional Random Sampling, with lottery way. Analysis technique used is Product moment pearson which helped with SPSS 22.0 for windows. Analyzed data results show that Rx.y = 0,352, and signification 0,000 where p 0,01, which means there is significant relationship between independence with self adjustment on students, independence variable for self adjustment gives effective contribution amount 0,124, which shown by determination coefficient (R²) or amount 12,4 %. This thing shows that there is another 87,6 % affected  by other factors outside this research.

Abstract

Human life can never be separated from the condition of psychological well-being. Every human being strives to create a prosperous life, both in physical, social, and mental conditions so that the quality of his life increases. One of the factors that influence psychological well-being is gratitude. This is because gratitude is able to create a positive outlook on events that occur in life. This study aims to determine the relationship between gratitude and psychological well-being in students who workin college part-time. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a relationship between gratitude and psychological well-being in students who study part-time work. The subjects of this research are students who study part-time at the Ushuluddin faculty and theUIN Raden Intan Lampung religious studies class 2017totaling 70 students. Thetechnique used atechnique samplingtotal sampling.   The data collection technique used a gratitude scale of 19 items (ɑ = 0.865) and a psychological well-being scale of 21 items (ɑ = 0.868).The results of the study indicate a relationship between gratitude and psychological well-being in students who workcollege part-time in. The data analysis used was the Pearson product moment correlation. The results showed that the two variables had a significant relationship. rxy = 0.510 with p = 0.000 (p 0.01), this indicates that there is a significant positive relationship between gratitude and psychological well-being in students who studywhile working  part-time  so that the hypothesis is accepted. The higher the gratitude, the higher the resulting psychological well-being. The effective contribution of 26% is influenced by the independent variables in this study and 74% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Low social skills make children less able to establish good interactions and choose aggressive actions. The low attitude of social skills is that it is difficult to control oneself well, and it is difficult to empathize and it is difficult to interact with others. Social skills are skills in interacting, communicating, and cooperating between humans and other humans. Social skills are very important for every child to have to form a quality relationship with the environment, because a child who has good social skills can express or communicate ideas or ideas so that others can understand what is being conveyed. The existence of social skills in children cannot be separated from parenting patterns, one of which is democratic parenting. Democratic parenting is parenting that emphasizes the needs of children, but does not hesitate to control them.The subjects used in this study were students in grades V and VI at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Fatah, East Lampung, with a total sample of 50 respondents who were taken using purposive sampling technique. The data collection method in this study used a social skills scale consisting of 26 items ( = 0.853 ) , a democratic parenting style scale consisting of 14 items ( = 0.776 ) . The data analysis technique in this study used the Pearson product moment correlation technique.The results of data analysis obtained a value of rxy = 0.671 with a significant level of 0.000 (p 0.005), this indicates that there is a positive and significant relationship between students’ social skills and democratic parenting of parents. The effective contribution given by the democratic parenting style variable to the social skills variable is 45.01 %.Keywords: Social Skills, Democratic Parenting, Studentss Primary School.

Abstract

Public speaking is an unpleasant situation accompanied by feelings of fear, worry, and  discomfort that will make a person feel unable  to convey his message properly and correctly in front of a crowd. This study aims to determine the relationship between  k omunikasi  d alam  k eluarga and citra tubuh with kecemasan berbicara  d i depan umum.  The population in the study was 80 students of the Mathematics Education Study Program class of 2021, Raden Intan State Islamic University, Lampung.  The method in this study is quantitative with cluster sampling technique.  The data collection technique used a public speaking anxiety scale of 34 aitems (ɑ = 0.892) a family communication scale of 30 aitems (ɑ = 0.826) and a body image scale of 40 aitems (ɑ = 0.876). The analyst technique used is multiple regression analysis  with Sofware JASP version 0.15.  The results of the first study showed that there was a significant relationship between communication in the family and body image with anxiety about speaking in front of youmum in first-year students  with a value of R = 0.420 and a value of F = 8.269 with a significant degree of p < 0.01 (p <0.01). Secondly, there was  a significant negative relationship between communication in the family and public speaking anxiety in first-year students with a grade (Rₓ₁-y) = -0.353 with a significant level p = 0.001 (p < 0.01) with an effective contribution (SE) of 5%.  Third, there was a significant negative  relationship between body image and public speaking anxiety in first-year students with a grade (Rₓ₁-y) = -0.325 with a significant level p = 0.003 (p < 0.01) with an effective contribution (SE) of 10%.
