Abstract

This research was motivated by the many difficulties experienced by students in learning history in class X IPS 3 at SMA Negeri 7 Kerinci. This study aims to determine the indicators of students' difficulties in learning history in class X IPS 3 at SMA Negeri 7 Kerinci, which are indicators that affect students' difficulties in learning history and which indicators are the most dominant that affect students in learning history. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a questionnaire collection technique consisting of 17 question items which include indicators of learning outcomes obtained that are not in accordance with the learning carried out, learning activities, attitudes, behavior, and emotional symptoms. Subjects in this study consisted of 30 people. Analysis of the data used is descriptive statistical analysis with TCR count and percentage. Based on the results of the study, it turns out that the description of learning difficulties experienced by students in learning history class X IPS 3 at SMA Negeri 7 Kerinci is found in indicators, the results obtained are not in accordance with what is done, learning activities, and attitudes. The average level of achievement of respondents above 60% is in the high category, namely on items, students rarely do history learning outside school, students rarely complete assignments from the teacher properly and correctly, students rarely do resume assignments given by the teacher on time, students are not happy to make assignments given by the teacher, students rarely answer questions from the teacher when the learning process takes place and students rarely ask the teacher when there is learning material that has not been understood.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the unavailability of learning resources that maximally emphasize aspects of historical thinking, one of which thinks chronologically. One of the learning resources that can improve students’ chronological thinking ability is module based edutainment. This study aims to determine the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of modules based edutainment improve students’ chronological thinking ability. The research and development model used is 4D. Product trials were conducted at SMAN 5 Padang class XI IPS 1 in September-October 2017. The instrument of data collection using the questionnaire of the Likert scale. The data analysis techniques used are Qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that the feasibility of the material experts stated module based edutainment is feasible to use with the average data of research of 4.42, and 3.92 with the appropriate category according to expert materials. Effective research products improve students’ chronological thinking ability with n-gain 0.67 and are categorized as being. Research products are also categorized as very practical by teachers and students with a mean score of 4.40 and 4.16.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the practicality of the use and feasibility of magazines in fostering the ability to think of causality in high school students on material efforts to maintain independence from the threat of the Allies and the Netherlands. The method used in this research is R & D research (Research and Development) which aims to produce a certain product and has been tested its effectiveness. Trial-test conducted in SMA N 2 Padang. While the time of research is in May - July 2017. The development step using 4D Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel (1974) model consists of define, design, development, disseminate. The subjects of the research were students of SMA N 2 Padang class XI IPA 2, amounting to 36 people. The instrument of data collection using a questionnaire in the form of a Likert Scale. This scale is structured using the positive category with the highest score of 5 to strongly agree and 1 category strongly disagrees. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative. The results showed that the assessment of the material expert's validator said the magazine is very feasible to use with data analysis of 4.6. While the expert magazine's validator obtained a score of 4.1. After that, the magazine is tested to the students. After a trial-test conducted with the results of 61% of the students are in a good category. Furthermore, the results of calculating using product moment, shows r count 0.635 this figure shows the relationship of magazines and think causality is significant (high). This magazine developed to improve the ability to think the causality of learners declared feasible and can improve the ability to think causality, so that can be utilized by teachers in learning history.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan model siklus yang terdiri dari empat langkah yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, siklus pertama terdiri dari 3 pertemuan dan siklus II sebanyak 2 pertemuan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA 5 SMA Negeri 3 Padang semester Januari – Juli 2018 yang berjumlah 33 orang. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar obervasi yang berbentuk daftar tally yang memuat indikator minat. Hasil penelitian terhadap minat siswa dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah diolah menggunakan rumus persentase P=(F/N)X100%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan minat belajar sejarah siswa dengan menggunakan aplikasi Prezi dalam pembelajaran sejarah yang dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya 14 (empat belas) indikator minat belajar siswa.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media aplikasi Prezi dapat meningkatkan minat belajar sejarah siswa Kelas XI MIPA 5 SMA Negeri 3 Padang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah di Kelas XI IIS 2 SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. Tujuan penelitian ini, yaitu untuk melihat penggunaan model kooperatif tipe group investigation dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yang dilaksanakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah 29 siswa Kelas XI IIS 2 SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa. Indikator keberhasilan tindakan dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa secara umum mencapai kriteria Aktif (pada lembar observasi aktivitas belajar memenuhi standar keberhasilan penelitian, yaitu 75%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa yang dilakukan dengan cara memberi motivasi kepada siswa untuk aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, seperti mengajukan pertanyaan, menjawab pertanyaan, menyampaikan pendapat serta memberikan tugas mencari sumber belajar untuk meningkatkan aktivitas membaca siswa dan memberikan penilaian terhadap catatan dan tugas yang dikerjakan siswa. Peningkatan aktivitas siswa dapat dilihat dari skor rata-rata indikator aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I dan II secara berturut-turut, yaitu 60,26% (kategori kurang aktif) ; 85,96% (kategori aktif) . Aktivitas belajar yang mengalami peningkatan yang sangat signifikan, yaitu aktivitas membaca dengan skor 60,35% pada siklus I dan 90,69% pada siklus II.

Abstract

Penulisan ini bertujuan mencari dan menganalisi minat belajar siswa terhadap variasi gaya mengajar guru. Maksud variasi disini yaitu macam-macam gaya mengajar yang digunakan guru. Macam-macam gaya mengajar guru yang terdiri gaya mengajar klasik, gaya mengajar teknologis, gaya mengajar personalis, dan gaya mengajar interaksional. Dari keempat gaya tersebut mana gaya mengajar yang diminati siswa. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI yang diambil sebanyak 30 orang siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa gaya mengajar yang sangat diminati siswa yaitu gaya mengajar interaksional dengan tingkat capaian 81,6%.

Abstract

The Mandeh area is currently one of the tourist destinations that has beautiful scenery and its own uniqueness for tourists both from within and outside the country. The Mandeh area, which has these unique qualities, if not preserved and managed properly, will become extinct in the future. In order to promote tourism in the Mandeh area, especially the Nagari Sungai Nyalo, the service team carried out service activities in Nagari Sungai Nyalo as a Literacy Village to create sustainable tourism. So far, the children of Sungai Nyalo are classified as marginalized children. The purpose of this activity is to (1) provide literacy education to children in the Nyalo River village, (2) make the Nyalo River village as one of the areas in the Mandeh area into a sustainable tourism area. The method used in this activity is the social intervention method, which can be interpreted as a way or strategy in providing assistance to the community (individuals, groups, communities) to improve one's welfare through efforts to re-enable social functions. The results of this activity are (1) increasing children's interest in reading and literacy, (2) increasing children's confidence to be able to guide tourists visiting their villages.

Abstract

Character is a basic value that builds individual personality. Character formation is influenced by genes or heredity and environment. The world of education, as one of the environments that shape individual personality is expected to have a maximum role in character formation. The importance of character studies is in response to moral decline, low ethics, lack of nationalism, and the emergence of instant generation. As a result, our generation easily violates the rules, not only the rules of society, and the rule of law but also the rules of religion. History learning is full of values, examples, patriotism, nationalism, and an unyielding spirit. One of the history learning materials in schools is the history of the Islamic kingdom in Nusantara. Resilience, tenacity and morality of Islamic leaders in building civilization and opposing western colonialism are real role model for students. Learning from experience, and the wisest learning is from the experience of people in the past (history).

Abstract

The Museum is an institution that is fixed, not profiteers, serve the community, open to the public, and linking as well as show off their historical heritage objects for purposes of study, research and recreation. The Museum can be said as a communication tool for culture an area, because after looking at the existing collections in the museum that we can know the results of hsil cultures that exist in area. Learning resource is any object, person or environment that can be used as a tool to clarify the understanding of the students in the teaching-learning activities. The Museum belongs to the learning resources that are utilized. This is caused in the museum there are numerous sources that serve to describe an object that serves to review learning objectives. This research was carried out in the Adityawarman Museum and Don Bosco High School. This research is qualitative research. The qualitative approach could be done by way of observing social symptoms directly observed, so that the writer can describe the actual situation so as to support and strengthen the qualitative data obtained through observation and interview. Relating to research conducted by the author at the Adityawarman Museum, the author would like to see how the Adityawarman Museum this can be utilized as a source of historical learning by learners and teachers in history Don Bosco High School

Abstract

Utilization of technology in the learning process encourages the creation of a variety of learning media that teachers can choose to use in effective learning. This is in accordance with Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 65 of 2013 which states that each teacher is required to apply information and communication technology in an integrated, systematic and effective manner. In formal and regular learning, it has implemented an online learning system created and used by educational institutions or institutions in the form of e-learning systems. One of the e-learning learning applications is the Edmodo application.This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The object of research that the writer will examine is the students of SMA Negeri 3 Bukittinggi, class XI IPS 2, who are registered in semester 1 of T.A 2019/2020. The instrument used was a Likert Scale model questionnaire. The data that has been collected is then scanned and the frequency is calculated.
