Abstract

The city of Bandung has a special attraction for migrants from other regions to carry out various activities. This is because the city of Bandung was made as a center for education, tourism and culture, a trade center, and also as a center of government in West Java Province. The need for economic improvement in an urban area that was originally not developed and is now developing indirectly there are changes in land use or land use in various ways including by changing the function of the original home to a shop house and even turning into a shop or land commercial. This is influenced by the existence of activities or activities of an educational and religious tourism area where this occurs due to the large number of requests to support activities in the area.

Abstract

ABSTRACT : Mosque as a means of worship is very important for Indonesian people who are Muslim majority. Mosques in Indonesia have been numerous and will continue to grow. Environmental issues due to the many building developments have become a global concern today, from the limited natural resources, global warming, climate change, Urban Heat Island (UHI) to its impact on the comfort and health of people. The concept of green architecture has been used to minimize environmental damage from buildings. This design-based research will implement green architecture approach in the mosque design in the context of a particular location to identify problems, possible applications and potential development. The designated location is in the eastern area of Bandung, city gates that has fairly dense place of settlement and transportation. The results showed that green architecture approach with neighborhood perspective criteria can be applied, especially with large scale mosque such as the case. The approach is more holistic and relates to the type of communal building. Criterias such as (1)land ecological enchancement; (2)circulation, movement and connectivity; (3)water management and conservation (4)solid waste and material; (5)community wellbeing strategy; and (6)building and energy, can be applied by combining with various design ideas and responses of site problems. Keywords : Mosque, green architecture, research-based design

Abstract

ABSTRACT : Most pesantren in Indonesia commonly still using a conventional design that separates the residentials with the enviroment surrounding it. That, in turns causing the users to ignore the linkage in between, this becomes the basic reasoning to the writer to come up with a design solution where the building and the enviroment can interact directly without barrier through the usage of vegetations that are placed accordingly in the building itself, such as vertical garden or hidroponics and the systems based on methods, data, and literatures that will be processed to become the basic concept of Eco-pesantren which will be turned into a digital model that can be analyzed about the thermal effects and the lightings on the building itself, this particular case takes a dorminaroty building as a building model. Based on the analysis and the model, it is clear that vegetation technique implemented on the building are able to stabilized temperature inside the room. Aside from being the aestethics element, some variety of vegetation can also become a food source for the users.

Abstract

Abstract: Bojongsoang Village as one of the areas in Bojongsoang District is a densely populated area, where there is a shift and transfer of green functions to built up land (such as: new housing, industry / factories and others). Land for the green lane has become built up land (built into a house), this makes what should be productive land become unproductive land. In addition, with the increasing pressure of green land into developed land, demanding the community to optimize the land they have as productive land. The understanding of space which is only understood as a horizontal plane as land that can be used as productive land must be changed. Space is not only implemented in the horizontal plane but can also utilize the vertical plane to have high flexibility as land that can be processed as productive land. The urban farming model as an urban agriculture program that has long been developing is a potential activity in supporting the sustainability and survival of a district. The purpose of this study is to determine the Eco Village model in the Paralon village area as an Eco-Architecture concept in supporting the development of Sustainable Cities, as one of the eco-architecture models in urban villages by utilizing their respective land and space.

Abstract

Shopping centers have the meaning of a place that is innate with one or several large department stores as an attraction for small retails and malls or pedestrians which are the main elements of a shopping mall with a function as circulation and as a communal space for the implementation of interaction between visitors and merchants. Shopping centers in the modern era with antiquity are very different, modern era shopping centers are designed with retail and supporting facilities to provide comfort in buying and selling activities, while in ancient times (the market) was only designed for buying and selling activities without thinking about the comfort of the activity actors in it. The design of this Shopping center object is not only a place for buying and selling and entertainment. However, it has more important values, ranging from function, beauty, and dynamic, buildings with contemporary architecture with contemporary physical forms of materials and Dynamic Showcase can be interpreted as the attraction of shopping centers as supporting facilities / facilities

Abstract

Abstract: One of the cities having a historically significant public square is Cianjur Regency. Since the royal era, colonial era, and up to the present, the square has served as the distinguishing feature of the center of the royal authority. The layout of the square space fluctuates depending on the prevailing political ideologies. This study employs an exploratory methodology and approaches for gathering data from field observations. Cianjur Square contains seven of the eight elements that make up urban space, including: (a) changes in land use; (b) The building mass configuration is fixed and the shape of the space is no longer symmetrical like the original form; (c) Parking and circulation areas are well-organized; (d) Open space zones are effectively used; (e) Active and comfortable pedestrian paths; (f) The marker serving as the identity of the space is very thick with Islamic religious values; (g) Supporting activities that take place simultaneously and in various ways are no longer centered on the east side of the mosque, but are spread out to the north side of the open space.
