Abstract

Abstract Purpose of this research is to conduct cooperative learning method that is STAD to increase students` activities and students` learning outcomes in dance and art learning at Junior High School number 3 Bukittinggi (SMP Negeri 3 Bukittinggi). This research is kind of quantitative research using experimental technique. Instruments of this research are observation sheets of learning process and essay test. The data is analyzed by using t-test in order to see the differences between two groups. The result of the research shows that by using STAD cooperative learning method, students` activities and students` learning outcomes in dance and art learning are increased. In the pre data before the experiment, mean of second semester mid-term test in 2013/2014 period of teaching is 74,19. The mean in experimental group after STAD cooperative learning applied is 83,39, comparing to the mean in control group is 75,83. Abstract

Abstract   Purpose of this research was to reveal the relation of movement selection as intructional materials in accordance with the student’s character with the interest of male students in learning to dance. Data were collected by using qualitative methods, in which the research produced written or oral information from the people, and observing their behavior. Research finding showed that suffle dance moves as material selection which has assertive, strong, and firmly can increase the interest of male students. It can be proved that at the last meeting the students’ want achieved 68.2 %, students’ attention 27.3 % and students’ participation 77.3 %. It can be said that whenever the material selection is in accordance with the learners’ characteristics, therefore, it will give good achievement.

Abstract

AbstractThis article the aim  of the explain was to find out and describe the students’ learning activities at dance and teachers strategy in the learning process for 8th grade student at SMP Negeri 5 Kerinci Kecamatan Siulak Mukai. This was a qualitative research by using descriptive methods. The object of the research owas the strategy that the teacher used in dance lesson for 8th grade students with a total amount of students was 17, consists of 9 boys and 8 girls. The researcher was the primary instrument in the research by directly observed the learning process of the dance at 8th SMP Negeri 5 Kerinci Kecamatan Siulak Mukai. The collection of the data were a library research, observation, documentation, and an interview. The result of the research shows that the learning process of the dance at 8th grade SMP Negeri 5 Kerinci Kecamatan Siulak Mukai has not reach a maximum result of the learning process. The teacher has not properly use the strategy of teaching. Moreover, the teacher methods and the materials is not interesting. Teacher only uses LKS (Student’s Book Work) in the learning process. As the result, the student is deficient motivation and the learning process is monotonous. These problems impact towards students learning result, where the lowest KKM (minimum indicator score) at 75,00, but the average score of the students at 8th grade is 73,52 or below the minimum indicator score.Keywords: Strategy, Learning, Dance.

Abstract

Abstract This paper aims at describing the ability of cultural art teachers ar SMK Negeri 1 South Solok. The theory used in this study related to theories of teaching and learning, teachers' ability in giving instruction, and cultural arts intructional material at school. The research finidng showed that teachers' ability in teaching cultural art at SMK Negeri 1 South Solok is "quite good". However, by this attribut, of course, it still has strength and weakness. The weakness of the teachers at this school is that the teachers do not use the instructional media and did not do an evaluation as the researcher conducted observations. The strength of teachers is that the teachers’ ability in preparing intructional material is very good.

Abstract

Abstrack   The purposed of this thesis for to meet and to states of the analyze structure of the plate dance Movement Pijak Kaco di Daerah Lipek Pageh Nagari Sungai Nanam Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti Kabupaten Solok. This plate dance Pijak Kaco told about how the activitiet of the people in the field or dry field. This dance perfomed for certainty of programs such as : villages party, wedding party and for to receive that people high position in the viilage. Struktur of this plate Dance Pijak Kaco look in dance of elements are : movement, motive / style, phrase. Sentence and group. Kind of this research is kualitative with analyze descriptive methot. Object of this research about the analyze strukture of the plate Dance Movement Pijak Kaco that are in Lipek Pageh Nagari Sungai Nanam Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti Kabupaten Solok. With the collect of data, bibliography interview, and observation. Technic palyze of data is analyzing structure of the Dance Movement Pijak Kaco. The result of writing that plate Dance Pijak Kaco there are 19 styles, 6 phrases, 6 sentences and 4 groups.  The plate Dance Pijak Kaco have, 4 dancers. The plate dance Pijak Kaco is wearing costum : kurung shirt, galembong trousers, belt and hat. Key word. Gerak tari, motif, kalimat dan gugus.

Abstract

Abstract This article aims to reveal and describe the dance movement material selection can improve male student interest in self-development activities. This type of research is qualitative research. This research instrument is the researchers themselves with the respondent that in SMP 29 Padang, another research data collected using field notes, observations were observed by peers. Research data collection is done by literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed by percentage formula. From the research results can be explained that before the teacher of Arts and Culture using election material appropriate dance movement in the learning process of male students seem indifferent in receiving dance. After the teacher of using election material Cultural Arts dance right in the process of self-development activities of interest of male students at SMPN 29 Padang on particular subjects Cultural Arts Dance increases. At the time of school hours students will do the teachers demonstrated motion, it can be seen from the meetings I to V desire (36%), concern (43%), and participation (38%) of students has been an increase, in this case the observation of increasing student interest men enter into the good category (66.7%)   Keywords: Increasing interest in boys, the selection of materials, self-development.

Abstract

AbstractThis Article aims to1) to find out the reasons which cause the difference of students’ motivation in the knowledge and skill of learning dance, 2)  to find out the impacts of the motivation difference toward the dance learning  outcomes at class X Tari 1 of SMKN 7 Padang. The design of the research was qualitative using the descriptive analysis method. The primary instrument was the researcher herself while the secondary oneh were stationaries and a camera. There were two types of data in this research: primary and secondary data. They were obtained from library study, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed qualitatively by observing the symptoms coming from the students’ motivation toward their knowledge and skills in learning dance. The research result shows that there are some differences of the students’ motivation related to the knowledge and skill in learning dance. There was only 1 out of 25 students who had balnce between the knowledge and skills. Meanwhile, 2 of them got higher score for their knowledge rather than their skills with a low range between them. Others tended to have low knowledge and high skills in learning dance. It happens since they alredy own the skills them selves.Keywords: Student Motivation, Dance Learning

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to know what the efforts of teacherto motivate boys in Class VII.1 are. This research was qualitative research by using descriptive analysis method. It is described a particular situation. The instrument of the research was a researcher itself. The meeting for teaching and learning process was 5 times where the material that is delivered organizely. The result of the research described boys were interested to learn Minang dance. It can be seen from their high attention, discipline and responsibility during teaching and learning process. The teacher did individual approach by giving reward to boys who had done perfectly in dancing. This research is hoped to give contribution for others especially for art teachers. Abstract

Abstrak This research aims: (1) to describe Appreciation Dance at SMP Negeri 5 Payakumbuh. The issues raised in this research are the level of student’s appreciation in learning dance archipelago. (2) This research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. Data was collected through literature study, observation, and interview. (3) The results of the research are to show that in learning of dance appreciation in SMP N 5 Payakumbuh found the rate of student’s appreciation to dance the dance Tortor archipelago has reached the expected level. The rate of student’s appreciation has been able to recognize, understand, appreciate and the student respect in learning the art of dance archipelago. The problem caused by the stimulation appreciative obtained by students, through methods and media appropriate for teachers in learning. In addition, the success in learning appreciation inseparable from the efforts of teachers to prepare themselves both in the planning, implementation and evaluation conducted by the teacher’s appreciation toward dance at SMP N 5 Payakumbuh.   Key Word: Apresiasi, Seni Tari, SMP Negeri 5 Payakumbuh

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims at finding out and describing students interests in danding, one of the extracurricular activities offered at SMPN 1 Tempuling Desa Sungai Salak Kecamatan Tempuling Riau. Descriptive approach was applied in this qualitative study. The objects were 15 students of the dancing class. Data were obtained from documentation, interview, and observation. They were analyzed by using the presentation analysis technique as proposed by Sudjana.This research was conducted on November-Desember of 2016. From the observation of the students activity, 3 indicators were used. They were willingness, attention, and participation. The instrument included 6 statements about the students willingness, 9 statements related to their attention, and 5 statements about their participation. Whether they did or not do what was described in the statement was analyzed in this research. The research result shows that from meeting I to meeting VI, the students score was 51,9 %.
