Abstract

This article aims at explaining the problems in traditional Kain dance in Painan Timur district, Pesisir Selatan regency. Nowadays problems in Kain dance revolve around its preservation and packaging. The presentation of Kain dance is no longer relevant with the growth of preference of entertaining art of the society. The preservation does not suit the sustainability of the Kain dance in the future. Therefore, Kain dance is no longer functional but marginal. The research is qualitative, where data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data is then analysed using ethnography and phenomenology. The research found that the weakness of traditional Kain dance in its presentation comes from its artistic movement aspect, dramatization, dynamics of the show, and originality of the costume and make-up. Besides that, the pattern of preservation is found only in keeping the training form of a specific place of the heir of the dance. There is no visible effort to further preserve the Kain dance in actual and effective model of its sustainability.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to describe the students ' motivation for the art of dance in class VII-1 in Padang Negeri 12. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods of analysis. The instruments in this research are researchers themselves and are assisted by stationery and cameras. The data types in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are conducted by way of library studies, observation and documentation. The steps for analyzing data are data collection, describing data, identifying data and making conclusions. The results showed that students ' motivation in dance learning in SMP Negeri 12 Padang is influenced by intrinsic factors (from inside) and extrinsic (from outside) students, thus causing the differences in the students ' ability to learn dance. Individually and in groups. If viewed individually, the motivation to learn the dance of each grade VII-1 students is low, proven from the low learning outcomes of individual students in the field of knowledge (theory) and Skills (practice) dance. However, when viewed in groups, the motivation to learn dance from the group of Students dance Learning class VII-1 for training activities, especially higher. These differences show that learning dance especially in the field of practice is conducted in groups by students, extrinsic has improved the learning outcomes of students in the group. Because of cooperation, mutual help, and a healthy sense of competitiveness between groups, has been driving the students are less able to learn to improve the results of dance learning together in the group. Keywords: motivation; Learning Dance Art

Abstract

AbstractThis article aims to describe the perceptions of students in pembelejaran dance in SMP N 11 Sijunjung. This type of research is a qualitative approach using descriptive. The population in this research is grade VIII as many as 170 people. Sampling 42 students using the technique of sampling considerations (purposive) and random (random). Research instrument this is now about the student perception indicators i.e., acceptance and evaluation in learning the art of dance in SMP N 11 Sijunjung. Data collection is carried out through quantitative techniques the percentages and then processed into the qualitative data in the form of a descriptive. The results showed that the perception of students SMP N 11 Sijunjung already included into both criteria, can be seen from the overall perception of students which includes acceptance and evaluation in learning the art of dance has been reach 70.30%. From the results of the assessment, 73.81% of students give a good response, the next pass judgement 66.79% of students in both subjects the art of dance. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that the percentage of the perception of students in learning the art of dance in SMP N 11 Sijunjung obtained 70.30% which belongs either.Keywords: perception of students, dance

Abstract

Abstract Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran seni tari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar sisiwa dengan menggunakan metode Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) dalam seni tari pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Lareh Sago Halaban, Kabupaten Limapuluh Kota. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian penelitian eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa tes yang diberikan akhir siklus. Jenis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi/pengamatan, tes dan dokumentasi. Dan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meningkatnya aktifitas dan hasil belajar siswa jika menggunakan metode Jigsaw pada pembelajaran seni tari di SMP Negeri 1 Lareh Sago Halaban, Kabupaten Limapuluh Kota. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari persentase klasikal ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa dberdasarkan KKM yang ditetapkan sekolah yakni angka 75.  Setelah dilakukan penerapan metode CTL yang mencapai 95%. Hal ini berbeda dengan hasil belajar sebelumnya dengan metode konvensional yang hanya mencapai 80%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan penerapan pembelajaran metode CTL cocok dilaksanakan dan dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Lareh Sago Halaban, Kabupaten Limapuluh Kota. Kata kunci:   Contextual Teaching Learning, hasil belajar, pembelajaran seni tari

Abstract

Abstract The research aims to find and describe the strategies undertaken in the study of cultural arts, especially on the materials of dance art at SMP Negeri 35 Padang. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods of analysis. The instrument in this study is self-researcher and assisted with supporting instruments such as stationery and cameras. Data collection types use primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are conducted by way of library studies, observation, interviews, documentation. Data analysis is done with the observation steps, interviews and teacher behaviour. The results showed that the learning process of dance art in SMP Negeri 35 Padang has not been carried out well and has not achieved the objective of learning to the maximum because the strategy used has not been fully implemented. This is because teachers lack the material and delivery of less interesting material that makes students bored and not focus on the learning. Choosing the right method is a plan for the purpose of learning to be accomplished well. Teachers are more likely to use lecture methods only. There are advantages for schools that have the completeness of facilities and infrastructure. First, completeness of facilities and means can foster the passion and motivation of teaching teachers. Secondly, the completeness of facilities and infrastructure can provide a variety of options for students to learn. Keywords: strategy, dance art Learning

Abstract

Abstract This article was written to describe the used of the group work to improve student’s learning outcomes in the musical art subject at grade VIII7 SMP Negeri 2 Batusangkar. Group work learning approach has a very important role in growing maturity and improve children's ability to master the material whatever they want through learning together to achieve maximum learning. Based on the result of the experiment, it was found that the average score of experimental group was higher than the average score of control group. Based on a t-test, it was obtained that tcounted > tTable, which means that there is a significant difference of learning outcomes between the students who learn by using group work learning approach and conventional  technique in the subjects of Musical Arts at SMP Negeri 2 Batusangkar. This significant difference between the score of learning outcomes of the two classes, the data show that group work learning approach gives positive effect toward learning outcomes at level of confidence 95%. Abstract

This article aimed to describe an improvement in students’ learning outcomes through cooperative learning in dance learning in class VIII 5 of SMP 25 Padang. The type of this research was Classroom Action Research. The procedure of this study consisted of 2 cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The research instrument was a knowledge test and a skill test. The techniques of data data collection were carried out by means of knowledge tests, skills tests and observations. Student completeness data were analyzed using individual and group completeness criteria with minimum completeness criteria of 70%. The results showed that through cooperative learning, students’ learning outcomes could be. It could be seen in the average value from cycle 1 to cycle 2. On the first cycle, there was an average value of 64.5 students with the number of completeness of 14 students (43.75%) from 32 students, and those who did not complete 18 students (56.25%) or under KKM (70). For the second cycle, the learning outcomes of the students' average score were 79 with the percentage of students who scored above 70 increased to 27 students (84.38%), and students who scored below 70 decreased to 5 students (15.62%). Thus, cooperative learning improves dance learning outcomes in class VIII.5 of SMPN 25 Padang.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the structure of the dance movement of Lurah Kincia dance in Situjuah Batua village, Situjuah Limo Nagari district, 50 Kota regency. This study belongs to a qualitative research using analytical descriptive method. The data used in this study were primary and secondary data. The main instrument used was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing instruments, cameras, and flash drives. The data were collected through literature study, observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted by collecting the data, describing the data, analyzing the data, and making conclusions. The results showthat the movement structure of Lurah Kincia dance has basic elements related to the attitude and movement of the body parts starting from the head, body, hands, and feet. From the relationship system between those elements, it produces motive forms in the form of turn taking, and are related to each other like a chain.The hierarchical grammatical relationship system contained in Lurah Kincia Dance consists of 37 motifs, 6 phrases, 4 sentences, and 1 cluster. Lurah Kincia dance belongs to a syntagmatic relationship system. It is a system whose relationship is like a chain and cannot be separated or exchanged between one another.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal and describe the Satai dance presence in Pulau Tengah, Sub-Regency Keliling Danau, Kerinci Regency. The research is a qualitative research by used analysis descriptive method. The object of research is the Satai dance on Pulau Tengah society. Instrument in this study is the researchers themselves. The type of data used are primary data and secondary data. The data collection techniques performed through the study of literature, direct observation and interviews. Data were analyzed using analysis model of Miles and Huberman. Results of the study found that the Satai dance still encountered in society of Pulau Tengah. Pulau Tengah Society have a high attention to the growth and development of the Satai dance, after is not shown in the ritual of starting reinforcements, in the early 2000s the artists of Pulau Tengah raised Satai dance be welcoming guests. In 2014 the Satai dance changes such as the addition of motion, musical instruments, increasing the number of properties (Carano) and dancers. After changing the function of a means of treatment in the ritual of starting reinforcements become a means of entertainment or spectacle, Satai dance still exist and this proved that Satai dance is always performed in a welcoming ceremony important guests who come to the village of Pulau Tengah in certain events, such as in the race village , appointment depati ninik Mamak, library race, religious gatherings, inauguration of the village head and others. Each year Satai dance is always performed, at least 2 times a year. In the years 2011 to 2015 Satai dance has been shown 10 times. Keyword: Keberadaan, Tari, Satai

Abstract

Abstract The article aims at exploring the developing of Iyo-Iyo dance in SD Negeri 15/III Tanjung Pauh Mudik, Keliling Danau, Kerinci. This was a descriptif qualitative study. The technique of data collection used were literature study, observation, interview, and documentation. The data analisis was done trough classifying the data based on the concept frame. The result indicated that the effort to attain the development of Iyo-Iyo dance in SD 15/III Kerinci was done throught teaching the dance to the students which are not the offspring of “ depati anum “ who also regards as the Iyo-Iyo dancer in “ kenduri sko “ event. The training of Iyo-Iyo dance was conducted during juli 2-6 2013. The Iyo-Iyo dance taught to the students was only introduced as an ordinary and entertaining dance to audience, not as a costom and ritual dance.   Kata kunci: Upaya, Pengembangan, tari, Iyo-Iyo
