Abstract

Learning media for young children is a tool used to introduce the theme as teaching materials or what is often called the curriculum for early childhood. The more sense tools are involved in the learning process, the more likely the child understands the information presented by the teacher. Recently, learning media still uses face to face methods or books. Meanwhile, early childhood is easily bored and more interested in new things. This research aims to develop a Learning media that used to introduce animals using Augmented Reality (AR) so that children can know the environment and food needed by the introduced animal. 83% of teachers and 91% of students enjoy using the application in animal recognition. KEYWORDS    Learning Media, Animal Recognition, Augmented Reality, Mobile Phone

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berjudul pelatihan “Penyusunan Perangkat Pembelajaran BDR (Belajar Dari Rumah) Bagi Guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini” di Kota Jayapura. Kegiatan tersebut dilaksanakan bagi Guru PAUD yang ada di Kota Jayapura. Jumlah sasaran yang menghadiri kegiatan adalah 23 orang Guru. Tujuan dilaksanakannya kegiatan ini adalah untuk memfasilitasi dan memberikan pelatihan kepada Guru PAUD yang ada di Kota Jayapura untuk dapat menyusun perangkat pembelajaran BDR serta kemampuan memilih dan menentukan media yang tepat dalam pembelajaran BDR. Metode kegiatan ini adalah ceramah dan tanya jawab serta praktek langsung (demonstrasi). Hasil evaluasi dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat tentang pelatihan penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran BDR bagi guru PAUD di Kota Jayapura ini dinyatakan berhasil dengan baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil evaluasi bahwa, dari 23 peserta terdapat 20 peserta (86,96 %) yang termasuk kategori sangat baik dan 2 peserta (8,69 %) termasuk kategori baik dan 1 peserta (4,35 %) termasuk kategori cukup baik. Dengan kata lain, pelatihan ini telah berhasil dengan baik dan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, wawasan, pemahaman, dan keterampilan peserta dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran BDR dan memilih media pembelajaran BDR yang tepat.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine students' perceptions of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic and its relationship with student participation in learning. This study uses a descriptive research method with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation and interviews. The data analysis technique used the Pearson correlation formula with the help of SPSS version 20. The sample in this study amounted to 84 people, which were determined using a total sampling technique so that all members of the population were used as the research sample. The results of the correlation analysis showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a Pearson correlation value of 0.476, so it was concluded that there was a positive relationship with a moderate degree of relationship between student perceptions of online learning and student participation in learning.Keywords: Pandemic; Participation; Learning; Perception.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran daring dimasa pandemi Covid-19 dan hubungannya dengan partisipasi mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in numeracy skills of 0-10 through the Abacus Media for Group B children in Integrated PAUD Nagallo Marannu, Puncak Jaya Regency, Academic Year 2017/2018. This research was conducted on group B children, amounting to 16 people. This research is an action research with the method of Kemmis and Taggart which consists of 4 stages, namely (plan, act, observe and reflect). This study consisted of 2 cycles, each of which consisted of 3 meetings. Data collection techniques using observation, field notes, and documentation. Data analysis using quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative data analysis was performed with statistical descriptions to compare pre-cycle to cycle II. Qualitative analysis is carried out by analyzing data from observations, field notes and verified documentation. The results showed that there was an increase in the ability to count numbers 0-10 through the abacus media with a score in the pre-cycle of 46.35% increasing to 66.66% in the first cycle and an increase of 82.29 in the second cycle with the very well developed category.Keywords: Ability to Count, Abacus Media, Early Childhood. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jiip.v2i1.21789

Abstract

Purpose – This study aimed to identify whether there is an increase in social-emotional and language aspects’ enhancement through the combination of imaginative teaching methods and multimedia learning that the teacher carried out.Design/methods/approach – This is a quantitative study that applies the pre-experimental design method. The model applied through this research was in the form of a pretest-posttest group which was carried out by comparing the emotional abilities of children before and after being given treatment in the form of a combination of imaginative processing methods and multimedia learning. The sampling technique used purposive sampling where the research subjects were in their early childhood, aged 5-6 years.Findings – Imaginative teaching approaches and multimedia-based learning impact the development and improvement of children's socio-emotional and language development. This can be seen from the comparison between the post-test scores that are more significant than the pre-test scores, namely, and the significance value on all dimensions is 0.000 <0.05.Research implications/limitations – In this study, the use of pretest and posttest methods in experimental design helps to clarify differences in the provision of imaginative processing methods and multimedia learning. The obstacles faced by the majority relate to the internet connection in communicating with teachers.Practical implications – The combination of imaginative learning methods and multimedia learning improves language social-emotional aspects effectively. The results of this study contribute to understanding for teachers and school institutions to better utilize information and communication technology in optimizing child development. Abstract

Abstrac : the aims of this reseacrh is to get information and data about the effort to increase children’s social skills in group B5 kindergarten through play activities with the song in TK YPPK Bintang Kecil, Abepura, Jayapura City 2014, with 18 children. Reseacrh Method used action research method. This method condused in two ciycles according to kemmis and Taggart model which consist of 4 stages (plan, action, observation and reflection). The process of data collection using the interview notes, field notes, instrument monitoring and documentation of action. Analysis of data using qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. Social skills children can be increased after the action through play activities using singing. It can be seen from the results of research that says that the average grade in the pre-action amounted to 49.30%. After the action in the first cycle increases the average grade was increased to 71.18% and the second cycle increased to 84.42%.

Abstract

SD YPK Martin Luther Sentani is one of the elementary schools in Sentani Kota Village. Most of the teacher didn't use any tools in teaching mathematics when they explain about the concept of mathematics. The students study mathematics more by direct explanation from the teacher and followed by exercises that only just about calculating. Whereas, children at the elementary school needs to use a concrete medium in the learning process to understand the theory of mathematics, because they still in the early step of how to think concretely and they need a fun learning method. Monotonous learning make students bored and not interested in learning. Moreover, the knowledge and skill of the teachers in designing the tools that lead to the process are still low. By considering this problem that faced by the teachers of SD YPK Martin Luther Sentani, then there is need to make a program that involved the teachers. The purpose of this program is to informed or to introduce some tools to the teachers that are useful to make the students understand the mathematics more easily, and how to implement in the classroom. In the implementation of this program, using three methods, they are by lecture, ask and question, and games method. This program has increased the understanding and the knowledge of the teachers about using props in the classroom in order to increase the understanding of the students about mathematics concept and to stimulate interest and motivation of the students in SD YPK Martin Luther Sentani.Keywords:  elementary school; mathematics learning; tools; teachers; number

Abstract

The learning media can be interpreted as all objects that mediates in the occurrence of learning. Based on its function, the learning media can be tools and medium. Tools are the learning media containing or bring the characteristics of the concepts of the studied. While medium is the learning media who has main function as a tool for learning. The purpose of the activity is to increase the capabilities of mathematics calculation of the first grade student at SDN Inpres Melam Hilli and SDN Inpres Kemiri about the concept of counting operation by utilizing the learning media. The counting operation intended in this activity are defined as the concept of the sum and reduction of natural number from 1 to 20. The methods used in activity are lecturing method, asking questions method, and gaming method. In this activity two types of the games are done, which are papan saku game and tali pas game to embed the concept of counting operation. After this two games are done, the students directed to complete LKS I and II. The success indicator that the students understand the material about counting operation by utilizing mathematics learning media is that they can complete LKS with a value more than or equal to 70. The impact of this activity is the students are very excited in following the activities ranging from the introduction, delivery of the material accompanied by papan saku game ang tali pas game, until the evaluation. On the evaluation phase most of the students quite understand the material that has been delivered and complete LKS with value more than or equal to 70. This means, the utilization of learning media with the gaming method could increase the value of learning/the capabilities of mathematics calculation of the students, especially at counting operation material. Keywords: mathematics learning media, counting operation, gaming method

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisa pengaruh TV Sekolah terhadap pemahaman tema selama pembelajaran jarak jauh di masa pandemi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PAUD Tunas Muda IKKT Jatimakmur dengan menggunakan metode kuatitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen atau quisioner yang dibagikan kepada 35 orang tua murid di PAUD Tunas Muda IKKT Jatimakmur yang dijadikan sebagai sampel penelitian.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan analisis,   diperoleh dari hasil nilai t hitung sebesar 8,276 sedangkan t tabel senilai 1,692 maka thitung > ttabel. Dengan demikian H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, yang berarti bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara variabel TV Sekolah (X) terhadap variabel Pemahaman Tema (Y), dengan nilai koefisien sebesar 0,675. Sehingga Hasil analisis hipotesis memberikan temuan bahwa penggunaan TV Sekolah berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap peningkatan pemahaman tema.
