Abstract

High order thinking (HOT) -based learning in Early Childhood Education Institution (ECEI) could improve six aspects of preschool-aged children’s development. The preliminary study revealed that the ECE teachers' knowledge of preschool-aged children was low. This surprising phenomenon was caused by teachers' lack of knowledge and minimum training for improving the teachers' competency. Thus, we conducted a study by holding training on the improvement of teacher's competency in HOT-based learning. The present study involved sixty participants comprising Kindergarten and elementary school teachers in Kota Selong, West Nusa Tenggara Province. The present study was aimed at measuring the effect of teacher's competency development training on the improvement of HOT-based learning activities in Kota Selong, East Lombok Regency. The result of the study indicated that the t-count (8.257) > t-table (7.745), meaning that the teacher's competency improvement training significantly affects the improvement of HOTS on both knowledge and implementation of Kindergarten teachers in Kota Selong.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan abdimasy ini memiliki tujuan yaitu: (1) guru dapat mengenal lebih awal tentang kondisi anak-anak didiknya yang diduga mengalami hambatan perkembangan (2) guru-guru akan memperoleh wawasan keilmuan teoritis dan praktis tentang penangan  anak usia dini yang diduga mengalami hambatan perkembangan berbicara (3) guru dapat melakukan deteksi dini terhadap kondisi anak didiknya yang mengalami hambatan perkembangan bahasa. Kegiatan ini berlangsung di TK Lab Universitas Negeri Malang pada bulan April 2018. Peserta diikuti oleh 20 guru yang berasal dari beberapa lembaga paud Gugus VIII Kec. Lowokwaru, Kota Malang. Pelaksanaan pelatihan dilakukan dengan menggunakan strategi/metode pembelajaran diskusi, brainstorming, drill, dan penugasan.  Hasil pengabdian ini dapat dirinci menjadi dua, yaitu hasil non fisik fisik dan fisik.  Hasil non fisik yaitu berupa bertambah luasnya wawasan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan guru-guru dalam menangani anak-anak usia dini yang mengalami gangguan dislexia. Hasil fisik antara lain berupa artikel journal pengabdian yang dimuat di artikel journal nasional yang bereputasi. Kegiatan  penerapan IPTEKS dengan bentuk kegiatan pelatihan tata cara penanganan anak Aud yang mengalami dislexia bagi guru-guru TK telah berhasil dengan baik dan sukses. Disarankan, bagi guru-guru TK yang telah mengikuti pelatihan  dapat menyebarluaskan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang telah dimiliki kepada guru-guru lain di sekitar tempat tugasnya.Abstract: This abdimasy activity has a goal, namely: (1) teachers can get to know early about the condition of their students who are suspected of experiencing developmental barriers (2) teachers will gain theoretical and practical scientific insights about handling early childhood children suspected of experiencing obstacles speech development (3) teachers can make early detection of the condition of their students who experience language development barriers. This activity took place at TK Lab Malang State University in April 2018. Participants were followed by 20 teachers who came from several institutions of the VII Group Claudia Kec. Lowokwaru, Malang City. The training is conducted using discussion learning strategies / methods, brainstorming, drills, and assignments. The results of this service can be broken down into two, namely physical and physical non physical results. Non-physical results in the form of increasing knowledge and skills knowledge in handling early childhood children suffering from dyslexia. Physical results include devoted journal articles published in reputable national journal articles. The implementation of science and technology in the form of training activities on how to handle Aud children who have dyslexia for kindergarten teachers has been successful and successful. It is recommended, for Kindergarten teachers who have participated in the training can disseminate the knowledge and skills they have to other teachers around their assignments.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini, yaitu: memberikan wawasan skill baru terkait pembuatan Media Education for Early Childhood berbasis PPT untuk alumni PGPAUD dan guru TK se-Kota Malang. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan berupa sosialisasi dan latihan kerja (workshop) pembuatan media edukatif berbasis PPT. Hasil yang dicapai pada pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat workshop pembuatan media education berbasis PPT AUD untuk guru Se-kota Malang adalah guru dan alumni dapat memahami berbagai macam media IT salah PPT, mengetahui langkahp-langkah pembuatan media berbasis PPT, mengetahui jenis dan ciri media yang sesuai untuk anak, mengetahui kompoen-komponen di PPT dan cara memfungsikannya atau mengaplikasikannya, serta menghasilkan produk media.  Kata Kunci: Media Education, PPT, Guru, Anak Usia Dini

Abstract

Maraknya kasus kekerasan seksual pada (pelecehan anak) anak yang dilakukan oleh orang-orang terdekat termasuk keluarga. Salah satu penyebabnya karena anak tidak memiliki bekal pengetahuan yang bisa membuat anak-anak mengantisipasi kemungkinan perlakuan buruk dari masalah seks. Untuk alasan ini, sangat diperlukan pendidikan seks yang tepat untuk anak-anak mereka untuk menghadapi berbagai kemungkinan yang terjadi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1. Fungsi dan peran pendidikan seks untuk anak-anak dalam keluarga, 2. masalah pengembangan anak terhadap pendidikan seks dan 3. Peran orang tua dalam panduan pendidikan seks.Penelitian ini berangkat dari gagasan bahwa anak-anak adalah orang yang masih dalam pengembangan dan belum dewasa, yang meliputi bayi, TK, usia SD dan remaja kemudian setelah individu yang tidak lagi disebut sebagai anak tapi seorang individu yang memiliki dewasa, di sini pendidikan seks perlu ditanamkan oleh orang tua, tetapi harus didasarkan pada nilai-nilai agama dan moral serta membahas masalah secara komprehensif. Tapi ironisnya, banyak orang tua yang acuh tak acuh dan membahas tabu atau memberikan bimbingan pada perubahan pendidikan seks yang terjadi pada anak-anak mereka.Hal ini akan menunjukkan pentingnya memahami pendidikan seks pada anak usia dini. Pendidikan seks memiliki kurang masalah perhatian orang tua hari ini sehingga mereka menyerahkan semua pendidikan, termasuk pendidikan seks di sekolah. Meskipun bertanggung jawab untuk mengajar pendidikan seks pada anak usia dini adalah orang tua, sedangkan sekolah hanya sebagai pelengkap dalam memberikan informasi kepada anak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa peran orang tua, terutama ibu-ibu yang sangat strategis dalam memperkenalkan pendidikan seks dini untuk anak-anak mereka.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aimed to identify whether there is an increase in social-emotional and language aspects’ enhancement through the combination of imaginative teaching methods and multimedia learning that the teacher carried out.Design/methods/approach – This is a quantitative study that applies the pre-experimental design method. The model applied through this research was in the form of a pretest-posttest group which was carried out by comparing the emotional abilities of children before and after being given treatment in the form of a combination of imaginative processing methods and multimedia learning. The sampling technique used purposive sampling where the research subjects were in their early childhood, aged 5-6 years.Findings – Imaginative teaching approaches and multimedia-based learning impact the development and improvement of children's socio-emotional and language development. This can be seen from the comparison between the post-test scores that are more significant than the pre-test scores, namely, and the significance value on all dimensions is 0.000 <0.05.Research implications/limitations – In this study, the use of pretest and posttest methods in experimental design helps to clarify differences in the provision of imaginative processing methods and multimedia learning. The obstacles faced by the majority relate to the internet connection in communicating with teachers.Practical implications – The combination of imaginative learning methods and multimedia learning improves language social-emotional aspects effectively. The results of this study contribute to understanding for teachers and school institutions to better utilize information and communication technology in optimizing child development. Abstract

Proses belajar mengajar anak usia dini yang mengacu pada proses dasar “Belajar sambil Bermain dan Bermain sambil Belajar”, sehingga diperlukan pembelajaran yang atraktif dan memberikan kesempatan pada anak untuk aktif, kreatif, dan menyenangkan. Tujuan dari penelitian pengembangan ini adalah untuk menghasilkan alat permainan ritatoon yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak usia dini. Metode penelitian  yang digunakan melalui prosedur Borg and Gall yang dipilih dan disesuaikan dengan kondisi di lapangan melalui 7 langkahyang dilaksanakan di TK LAB UM kota Malang  di kelas A1 dan A2. Hasil dari penelitian pengembangan ini berupa produk alat permainan ritatoon tentang binatang peliharaan sebagai media stimulasi kemampuan kognitif  anak usia dini. Berdasarkan data hasil uji coba, disimpulkan bahwa alat permainan ritatoon dapat digunakan dalam mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif anak kelompok A di TK LAB UM Kecamatan Lowokwaru Kota Malang.AbstractThe process of teaching and learning of early childhood refers to the basic process of "Learning while playing and playing while learning", so it takes attractive learning and provides opportunities for children to be active, creative, and fun. The aim of this development research is to produce a ritatoon game tool that can improve cognitive abilities of early childhood. The research method used through the Borg and Gall procedure was selected and adapted to the conditions in the field through 7 steps carried out in TK LAB UM Malang in class A1 and A2. The results of this development research in the form of ritatoon game products about pets as a medium for stimulating cognitive abilities of early childhood. Based on the trial data, it was concluded the ritatoon game tool could be used in developing the cognitive abilities of group A children in TK LAB UM Lowokwaru District Malang.

Abstract

The ability to determine the measurement (seriation) of size is the accuracy that is owned by the child in determining an order of size from various existing sizes. Seriation competence in children aged 4-5 years is to sort objects from large to smallest or vice versa as much as 5 seriations. In fact 10 out of 18 children still have shortcomings in order of size. This study aims to improve children's learning outcomes in determining the order of size and to improve the quality of learning so that activities can run effectively, efficiently, and fun. The results showed that there was an increase in sequencing skills (seriation) measures based on the results of children's learning outcomes during pre-action up to the second cycle by 42%. The application of smile circuit games can improve the quality of learning to become more interesting and efficient. Kecakapan dalam menentukan pengurutan (seriasi) ukuran merupakan ketepatan yang dimiliki anak dalam menentukan suatu pengurutan ukuran dari bermacam-macam ukuran yang ada. Kompetensi seriasi pada anak usia 4-5 tahun adalah mengurutkan benda dari yang besar sampai terkecil atau sebaliknya sebanyak 5 seriasi. Pada kenyataannya 10 dari 18 anak masih memiliki kekurangan dalam mengurutkan ukuran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar anak dalam menentukan urutan ukuran dan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran sehingga kegiatan dapat berjalan efektif, efisien, dan menyenangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kecakapan pengurutan (seriasi) ukuran berdasarkan hasil capaian belajar anak selama pra tindakan hingga siklus II sebesar 42%. Penerapan permainan smile circuit dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran menjadi semakin menarik dan efisien.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to find out how the application of cheerful weaving activities to improve children's fine motor skills and describe whether through cheerful weaving activities can improve children's fine motor skills. This study uses a classroom action research (CAR) design with qualitative and quantitative approaches. This classroom action research is conducted in two cycles, each cycle of which there are two meetings consisting of planning, implementing, observing, and selecting. The subjects of this study were group B TK PGRI 03 overlapping with 16 children. This research was successful because it showed an increase in the repetition and incorporation of weaving material so that it was easily carried out by teachers and children. The increase can be seen from the pre-action to the second cycle in fine motor skills eye and hand coordination aspects of 62.50 percent, the accuracy aspect is 62.50 percent, and the flexibility is 68.75 percent. Based on the presentation of the results of the implementation of cheerful weaving activities that children's fine motor skills proved to be increasing. Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan kegiatan menganyam ceria untuk meningkatkan keterampilan motorik halus anak, dan mendeskripsikan apakah melalui kegiatan menganyam ceria dapat meningkatkan keterampilan motorik halus anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan selama dua siklus, tiap siklusnya terdapat dua kali pertemuan yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan rfeleksi. Subyek dari penelitian ini adalah kelompok B TK PGRI 03 Tumpang dengan jumlah 16 anak. Penelitian ini berhasil karena menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dengan adanya pengulangan dan penggabungan bahan menganyam agar mudah dilakukan oleh guru dan anak-anak. Peningkatan dapat dilihat dari pra tindakan sampai siklus II dalam keterampilan motorik halusnya aspek koordinasi mata dan tangan sebesar 62,50 persen, aspek ketepatan sebesar 62,50 persen, dan kelentukan sebesar 68,75 persen. Berdasarkan pemaparan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan menganyam ceria bahwa keterampilan motorik halus anak terbukti meningkat.

Abstract

The lack of teachers' ability to apply the Pancasila character can contribute to the fading of Pancasila culture abroad, especially for the families of Indonesian Immigrant Workers in Malaysia. This research aims to explore the understanding of the character of Pancasila among parents in the Indonesian-Malaysian literacy context. A quantitative research approach was used with a sample of 80 educators from the Kuala Lumpur Indonesian School and learning centers in Malaysia. The research instrument consists of a questionnaire with 15 items for the Teacher Empowerment Program variable and 14 items for Teacher Knowledge. Data analysis uses simple linear regression with validity, reliability, normality, heteroscedasticity, t test, and coefficient tests, which are processed using SPSS software. The research results found that the training program had a positive effect on teachers' knowledge about the character of Pancasila. The Teacher Empowerment Based Course Program has had a significant impact on teachers' understanding of the Indonesian-Malaysian Literacy Based Pancasila Character. After attending a course based on teacher empowerment, there was a significant increase in teachers' knowledge about the character of Pancasila based on Indonesian-Malaysian language literacy. This teacher empowerment-based course program provides educators with the opportunity to gain knowledge about Indonesian-Malaysian literacy. They can apply this knowledge through innovative and effective teaching methods. Future research could investigate further potential benefits beyond increasing teachers' knowledge after participating in this program.
