Abstract

Biology education students should not only have pedagogic competence but also personality, so that they are not only proficient in mastering learning material, but also has a scientific attitude. The purpose of this study was to measure the feasibility of environmental education module based on local potency in the form of case studies in developing biology education students’ environmental awareness. The module is validated by subject experts and media experts. Based on the criteria of validity, the average validation score were  2.62  from subject matter experts and 2.63 from media experts which were categorized as valid. The module then tested on six biology education students and environmental awareness questionnaire resulted in an average score of 74.28 which was categorized as good. Keywords: case study, environmental education module, environmental awareness, local potency, pre-service biology teacherABSTRAKMahasiswa pendidikan Biologi tidak hanya harus memiliki kompetensi pedagogik namun juga kompetensi kepribadian, sehingga tidak hanya cakap dalam penguasaan materi pembelajaran, namun juga memiliki sikap ilmiah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur kelayakan modul pengetahuan lingkungan berbasis potensi lokal bermuatan studi kasus dalam membentuk sikap peduli lingkungan mahasiswa pendidikan Biologi. Modul tersebut divalidasi  oleh ahli materi dan ahli media. Berdasarkan kriteria kevalidan, maka rata-rata total validasi dari ahli materi dan ahli media diperoleh sebesar 2,62 dan 2,63 yang termasuk dalam kategori valid. Modul kemudian diujicobakan pada enam mahasiswa pendidikan Biologi dan hasil angket kepedulian lingkungan menghasilkan skor rata-rata 74,28 yang termasuk dalam kategori baik.Kata kunci: calon guru Biologi, kepedulian lingkungan, modul pengetahuan lingkungan, potensi lokal, studi kasus,

Abstract

 AbstractThis research aimed to know the water quality and zooplankton diversity in Sungai Ambawang Kalimantan Barat and applied Its result in a flash flipbook as an instructional medium  in the sub material of Water Pollution at 10th grade of Senior High School students. Sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling in which to decide the location of zooplankton sampling, residential, wood industry, and sago vegetation, in Sungai Ambawang. The physical parameter observed were temperature, turbidity, and velocity of water flow. The average of water temperature was  29oC, turbidity in each station in sequence were 23, 22,83, dan 23,83 cm, and velocity of water flow in each station in sequence were 0,16, 0,30, and 0,12 m/s. The chemical parameter were observed are Power of Hydrogen (pH) and Dissolved Oxygen (DO), pH in each station in sequence were 3,36, 3,66 and 3,47, and DO in each station in sequence were 6, 6,10, and 6,4. The Dominance Index of zooplankton in each station in sequence were 0,150, 0,122, and 0,133. The result of dominance index revealed that river in Sungai Ambawang was good. The result was implemented in flash flipbook as an instructional medium in the sub material of Water Pollution. The validity result of flash flipbook by material experts was 3,35 and media experts was 3,50. From the validity result Flash flipbook was valid to be used as an instructional medium in the Sub M֯aterial of Water Pollution at 10th grade of Senior High School students. Keywords: Zooplankton, Dominance Index, Sungai Ambawang, Sub Material of Water Pollution.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat film hasil penelitian kualitas air di perairan Sungai Landak dan mengetahui kelayakan film sebagai media pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Dari hasil penlitian kualitas air, diketahui Sungai Landak mengalami pencemaran air dengan hasil pengujian sampel parameter fisika (suhu) berada di bawah ambang batas dengan nilai rata-rata 28-28,33ºC sedangkan (kecerahan) dengan nilai rata-rata 0,10-0,11m berada di atas ambang batas. Parameter kimia (pH) dengan nilai 6 berada di bawah ambang batas dan parameter biologi dilihat dari keberadaan fitoplankton dengan indeks keragaman jenis (H?) sebesar 2,37 berarti Sungai Landak mengalami pencemaran air dengan kategori sedang. Hasil penelitian digunakan dalam pembuatan media film. Berdasarkan penilaian 8 validator,  didapatkan nilai rata-rata validasi materi 87,91 dan media 81,94 yang artinya film layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada sub materi pencemaran air kelas VII SMP. Kata Kunci: Kualitas Air, Film, Sub Materi Pencemaran Air. Abstract: This research purposed to make film from quality of water in Landak river and knowing the feasibility of film as the learning media. Type of this research was qualitative, descriptive method. The result research quality of water that Landak rivers pollution of sample test according to physics parameters (temperature) has under limit mean 28-28,33ºC and according (brightness) over the limit with price mean 0,10-0,11m. Chemical parameters (pH) 6 meaning has under limit values and the biology parameters based on presence of phytoplankton species diversity index (H') of 2.37 showed that Landak rivers pollution is in medium category. The result of this research is used to making a film. Based on the 8 validator assessment, the average value of material validation was  87,91 and media 81,94 which mean the film can be used as teaching media in sub material water pollution class VII. Abstract

AbstractThis research purposed to know the booklet’s feasibility that consist of primates in protected forest area, Gunung Senujuh as a learning media in subsubject conservation of biodiversity in grade X senior high school. This research is quantitative with descriptive method. This research divided  into two stages. First is making of booklet and the second is validation of the media. Booklet validated by five validators that are two lecturers from Biology Education FKIP Untan, and three teachers of biology X senior high school that each one from SMA Negeri 1 Sambas, SMA Negeri 1 Sajad, and SMA Negeri 1 Sejangkung. The assessing the feasibility of booklet by filling the validation forms that consist of three aspect with 11 criteria in total. Analiysis data using Content Validity Ratio (CVR) and Content Validity Indeks (CVI). Based on data analysis of validation result, with  the value of each Content Validity Ratio (CVR)  from 11 criteria is 0,99 and CVI is 0,99 so booklet is valid and feasible as a learning media . Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the use of learning method PQ4R accompanied Question Student Have towards students learning outcome in matter of plant structure  in grade VIIIth SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak. The method of this research was quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The study samples consists of two classes namely grade VIII A as experiment class and grade VIII B as control class. The sampling technique was intact group. Instruments used in this research 20 items of multiple choice test. The average student learning outcomes experiment class was 77,50 and control class was 73,55. From U Mann-Whitney test obtained Zcount (-1,29) > Ztable (-1,96), the mean that there were  difference between students learning outcome which taught used the method of PQ4R accompanied Question Student Have and taught used the conventional method. Whereas from Effect Size, the method of PQ4R accompanied Question Student Have in matter of plant structure extend contibute 10,64% towards students learning outcome. This indicated learning method PQ4R accompanied Question Student Have influence on students learning outcome in matter of plant structure. Keywords:Learning Method PQ4R, Question Student Have, Learning Outcome, Plant Structure

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) disertai media flash card terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada sub materi sel dan jaringan di kelas VII SMP Negeri 7 Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experimental Design dengan rancangan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VII B (kelas eksperimen) dan kelas VII A (kelas kontrol). Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara intact group. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda berjumlah 20 butir. Rata-rata skor hasil belajar kelas eksperimen 16,36 sedangkan kelas kontrol 13,32. Hasil uji U Mann-Whitney diperoleh Z hitung < - Ztabel (-4,93 < -1,96), hal ini menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) disertai media flash card dengan yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Kata Kunci: Numbered Heads Together, Media Flash Card, Hasil Belajar Abstract: This study aimed to determine the application of the cooperative model type Numbered Heads Together accompanied flash card media of the learning outcomes at the cell and tissues sub material in class VII SMPN 7 Pontianak. This research forms are Quasi Experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample of this research are VII B (experiment class) and VII A (control class). The sampling technique was intact group. The instruments used were 20 multiple choice questions. The average score of the experimental group?s learning outcome was 16,36 while that of control group?s learning outcome was 13,32. The test result of U Mann-Whitney showed Zcount < -Ztable (-4,93 < -1,96), which means that there is a discrepancy in learning outcomes of students who were taught with cooperative model type Numbered Heads Together accompanied flash card media by using conventional learning. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran buku saku sebagai implementasi dari penelitian inventarisasi keanekaragaman ikan dan mengetahui jenis-jenis ikan yang terdapat di Kecamatan Kendawangan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara triangulasi. Buku saku diuji kelayakannya oleh dua orang dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Untan dan tiga orang guru biologi kelas X SMA. Berdasarkan penilaian validator buku saku termasuk ke dalam kategori valid dengan nilai rata-rata total validasi 3,6 dan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada submateri tingkat keanekaragaman hayati. Kata kunci: Buku saku, Inventarisasi, Ikan Abstract: This research purpose is to determine the feasibility of learning media pocket book as the implementation of an inventory study of fish diversity and determine the types of fish found in the subdistrict of Kendawangan. The method which was used in this descriptive method by using purposive sampling as sampling technique. Technique of data collecting was taken by using triangulasi. Media pocketbook tested for feasibility by two lecturers of Biology Education Studies Program FKIP Untan and three teachers of biology class X senior high school. In the judgment of the validator, pocketbook be included into the category valid with an average value of 3.5 and a decent total validation is used as a medium of learning in sub of biodiversity. Abstract

Abstract:This research aims to determine the application of Quantum Learning Strategy with a Mind Map of the learning outcomes on the ecosystem material in class X SMAN 5 Pontianak. This research forms are Quasy Experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This sample consists of two classes of grade X IPA 2 as an experimental class and X IPA 4 as the control class that was taken using the intact group technique. Based on the results of the data analysis, the average score of student learning outcomes are taught using Quantum Learning strategy with a Mind Map of 16.44 while those taught using conventional learning at 12.35. After U Mann-Whitney test for level α = 5% isobtained Zcount< - Ztable (-5,35 < -1,96), there are significant differences between of the learning outcomes are taught using Quantum Learning strategies with a Mind Map by using convensional learning on the ecosystems material in class X SMAN 5 Pontianak. Sampel ini terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas X IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diambil menggunakan teknik intact group. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, rata-rata skor hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan strategi Quantum Learning disertai Mind Map sebesar 16,44 sedangkan yang diajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional sebesar 12,35. Setelah dilakukan uji U Mann-Whitneypada taraf α = 5% diperoleh Zhitung < - Ztabel (-5,35 < -1,96), terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar yang diajarkan menggunakan strategi Quantum Learning disertai Mind Mapdengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional pada materi ekosistem di kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak. Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to determine the feasibility of Student Worksheet based on the analysis of the water quality of Ambawang River on the Sub Material of Water Pollution for first grade of high school. The study was conducted by descriptive method. The student worksheet consisted of learning goals, user instructions, research data, questions and conclusion of discussion material. This student worksheet was made through three stages, namely the preparation, revision and validation. The validation was carried out by 5 experts, consisting of 2 lecturers and 3 high school teachers. The validation data by five validators was calculated using the CVR and CVI formulas according to Lawshe (1975). The CVR and CVI value of the student worksheets was both 0,795 which mean that the student worksheets were not suitable for use and needed to be revised based on the recommedation from 5 validators. Keywords : Student Worksheet, Water Quality,  Submaterial of Water Pollution

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to determine effect adobe flash based animation media toward student assesment at material plantae in class X SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. The research was a Quasy Experimental Design with Nonequivalent control group design. The sample of this research are X MIA 1 as experiment class and X MIA 2 as control class. The sampling technique is by saturated sampling. The instrument been used was multiple choice test that consists of 20 items. Average student assesment that had been animation media based adobe flash 15,55 was higher by those using power point 13,37. The t test obtained t obtained > t table  (3,52> 1,67), meaning that there were significant differences between students assesment that taught by adobe flash based animation media and power point. The conclusion was that learning by using animation media based on adobe flash can increase student’s learning outcomes in material plantae. Keywords: Adobe Flash Based Animation Media, Material Plantae.
