Abstract

Abstrak Peningkatkan kualitas UMKM melalui kegiatan pendampingan membuat iklan digital dengan memanfaatkan media online google terhadap pelaku usaha di bidang UMKM pada Kelurahan Tambangan dan Kelurahan Tambangan Hulu. Kegiatan pendampingan dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap, diantaranya: 1) melakukan audiensi, koordinasi dan sosialisai program kepada stakeholder kelurahan, masyarakat, dan pelaku usaha sebagai penerima manfaat program; 2) penentuan lokasi pusat pelatihan pengembangan UMKM; 3) pelatihan literasi digital marketing; 4) penyelenggaraan web-blog online UMKM masyarakat Kelurahan Tambangan dan Tambangan Hulu; 5) sosialiasi dan pendampingan penggunaan akun Google Ads, 6) penyusunan rencana keberlanjutan pendampingan UMKM Kelurahan Tambangan dan Kelurahan Tambangan Hulu. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan disimpulkan bahwa edukasi literasi digital pada masyarakat sangat dibutuhkan, terutama bagi pelaku usaha yang ingin mengembangkan UMKM. Pengenalan terhadap iklan digital melalui Google Ads dan marketplace dapat meningkatkan kreativitas dan daya saing UMKM lokal. Hasil produksi UMKM lokal sebenarnya tidak kalah saing dengan produk dari daerah lain. Pemanfaatan Google Ads dan marketplace yang terpadu dan berkelanjutan pada produk UMKM sangat berguna untuk memperkenalkan produk lokal secara nasional dan internasional. Pengembangan UMKM melalui iklan digital juga bisa menjadi keunggulan daerah yang berkompetensi untuk meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat setempat. Kendala yang dihadapi dalam proses pendampingan iklan digital di tengah pandemi Covid-19 adalah kegiatan sosialisasi yang terhambat akibat adanya pembatasan wilayah sehingga akses pengajar ke kelurahan menjadi terbatas. Kata kunci: Iklan digital, UMKM, Google Ads, Pandemi Covid-19  AbstractThe development of MSMEs through mentoring activities to create digital advertisements by utilizing Google Ads as an online media for business in the MSME sector at Kelurahan Tambangan and Kelurahan Tambangan Hulu. Mentoring activities are carried out in several stages, such as: 1) coordinating and socializing the program to the stakeholders, communities, and business actors as program beneficiaries; 2) determining the location of the MSME development training center; 3) digital marketing literacy training; 4) organizing MSME online web blogs; 5) socialization and assistance on the use of Google Ads accounts, 6) preparation of a sustainability plan for mentoring MSMEs in the Kelurahan Tambangan and Kelurahan Tambangan Hulu. Based on the results of the activity, it is concluded that digital literacy education in the community is very much needed, especially for business actors who want to develop MSMEs. The introduction of digital advertising through Google Ads and the marketplace can positively increase the creativity and competitiveness of local MSMEs, especially during pandemic-19 which can be done remotely using internet. The results of local MSME production are actually no less competitive with products from other regions. The use of Google Ads and an integrated and sustainable marketplace for MSME products is very useful for introducing local products nationally and internationally. The development of MSMEs through digital advertising can also be a regional advantage that is competent to improve the standard of living of the local community. The obstacle faced in the process of assisting digital advertising in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic was that socialization activities were postponed due to regional restrictions. Keywords: Digital advertisement, MSME, Google Ads, Pandemic-19

Abstract

Reading is an interactive process that goes on between the reader and the text, resulting in comprehension. The text presents letters, words, sentences, and paragraphs that encode meaning. The reader uses knowledge, skills, and strategies to determine what that meaning is. Good readers tend to use a range of strategies while reading such as making predictions before reading, making connections to personal experiences and knowledge, and engaging in self-monitoring (on-going checks of text comprehension). Teachers can model, teach, and promote the use of these and other effective comprehension strategies to help their students become even more proficient readers. The need for students to be actively is engaged in the reading process. Teachers can explain key strategies and model the types of actions students can take before, during, and after reading. Abstract

The study deals with the Analysis of Processes and Circumstances in short stories of Good Housekeeping Magazine. The data were collected from publications monthly magazine, Good Housekeeping Magazine, in its edition of January 2003, May 2003, August 2003, and December 2003. There are four Short stories used as the sample. The texts of short stories were analyzed and classified with reference to the types of Processes and Circumstances according to the Systemic Functional Grammar theories. This Study used descriptive method. The Findings indicate that the Material Process (1283, 44.66%) is dominantly used in the short stories as the representative of Process and Circumstance of Location (771, 66.07%) is dominantly used in the short stories as the representative of Circumstances. This implies that short stories are mostly written in Material Process and Circumstance of Location because both of these aspects have high numbers of using if compared with the others.

Abstract

Associative meaning is an unstable meaning that has variants based on individual experience. The associative meaning of an expression has to do with individual mental understanding of the speaker. They can be broken up into five subtypes are connotative meaning, stylistic meaning, affective meaning, reflected meaning, and collocative meaning. The semantic analysis, generally, must explain how the sentences of a particular language are understood, interpreted, and related to states, processes and objects in the world. When learns more about semantics, it finds out a lot about how the world's languages match forms to meanings. And in doing that, learns a lot about ourselves and how we think, as well as acquiring knowledge that is useful in many different fields and applications. Abstract

The study deals with the aspects of dialect inmangkobarat wedding ceremony in South Tapanuli. The objectives of the study are to describe the aspects of dialect and to know the reasons the differences of dialect that occurred in mangkobar at wedding ceremony in South Tapanuli. The method that used in this study is descriptive qualitative.  The data were analysed by  identifying the transcribed from the  utterances of pakkobarin wedding ceremony from two sub-districts. The findings show that the three aspects in dialect are occurred in mangkobar. There are 22 words are different in phonological, 35 words are different in lexem and 3 sentences are different in grammatical. And the reasons of the differences the language used in mangkobarat wedding ceremony in South Tapanuli are social conflict and geographical origin. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the types and the function of sarcasm used in komiknyebelin as the source data account of instagram. The data of this study were taken from the content of komiknyebelin account since August 2018 until July 2019 which randomly selecting comics that found sarcasm in the comics. In analyzing the data, the researcher was conducting by using qualitative method. The result showed the types and the function of sarcasm used in komiknyebelin account. The data were analyzed by using Lamb’s theory about the types of saracasm and Leech’s theory facing the illucotionary functions to find the sarcasm function in the content of komiknyebelin. The researcher found 4 types of sarcasm in the content of komiknyebelin account, they were: brooding sarcasm (2 data), polite sarcasm (2 data), obnoxious sarcasm (12 data) and raging sarcasm (2 data). And the researcher also found 2 types of sarcasm functions, they were collaborative function (8 data) and conflictive function (10 data) from the 18 data comic that used sarcasm found in the content of komiknyebelin account. Keywords:  Instagram, Komiknyebelin, Sarcasm Functions, Sarcasm Types

Abstract

In the era of globalization, seller-buyer transactions happened a lot on Instagram's social media platform. A register is a language variation that is usually used in the seller-buyer transaction. This study aimed to analyze the register in Instagram used in a beauty product by examining the linguistic form that is viewed from the register variable situation and understanding the meaning of register in a beauty product. This research uses qualitative research by collecting the data, analyzing the data, analyzing the context, and identifying the data. The object of this research is an Instagram account by guardian_id that was taken in February-March 2020. Based on the analysis, the researcher found 20 data with two types of linguistic form, the unstable situation of register that is field, tenor, mode, and two types of meaning in the register.

Abstract

This study deals with The Expression of Politeness used by Gloria in Demi Ucok Movie. The data of this study were the utterances in Demi Ucok by Gloria. The utterances which contained principles politeness were identified and analyzed. This study applied descriptive qualitative method which is concerned in developing explanation of types of principles politeness to help us understand the principles politeness in which how people used it. The descriptive qualitative was used in this research in which the writer analyzed the data and described the dominant based on its Principles Politeness classification to aim at maximize the benefit to other, maximize praise of other, maximize dispraise of self, maximize agreement between self and other, and maximize sympathy between self and others which had found in utterances in Gloria by Demi Ucok. The findings show of 78 utterances, they were shown by Tact Maxim (34), followed by Modesty Maxim (13), Approbation (13), whereas Sympathy Maxim (12), and Agreement (6) and the principles politeness of Demi Ucok by Gloria mostly showed Tact Maxim as minimize cost to self and maximize benefit to other, and found the implication to solve the problem.

Abstract

This study aimed at analyzing the kind of traits which represented by Baby in Baby Driver movie by Edgar Wright. The study of Characterization has been thrived in recent centuries. Personality Traits study in a movie is an interesting way to develop and identify some character in movies. The study used descriptive qualitative method. The data of this study were dialogues and statements from Baby which related to the Personality Traits theory in the movie script. The source of the data was Baby Driver movie. The findings of the Big Five theory analyzed by described the utterances and statements from Perlocutionary Act findings. It was found that there were five traits represented by Baby along the movie. They were (1) Introvert/Extrovert, (2) Neuroticism, (3) Conscientiousness, (4) Openness to Experience, and (5) Agreeableness. This study also proved that conflicts always happened in human being, especially teenager. At one time, a person chose to be introvert and in the next day he or she chose to be extrovert. Characterization learning was believed as a tool to differ one character of a movie or real-life individual from another.Keywords: Personality Traits, Speech Act, Perlocutionary Act.

Abstract

The study deals with Feminism in Veronica Roth’s Movie “Divergent” from three women character. The objective of the study were to find out the types of feminism and the roles of women in Divergent movie. The research method of this study used qualitative research, relying on the analysis and description of previous researcher and the studies of feminism. The data of this study were the utterances that can be found out from the script of divergent movie. The data of this research were analyzed by using Tong’s theory. The researcher found there are 3 types of feminism in three women character in Divergent movie, they are : 5 statements that are included in liberal feminism, 12 statements are included in radical feminism, and 3 statements are included in anarchist feminism. The role of women that can be found from three women character in Divergent movie was the role of women in domestic sector and the role of women in public sector. Keywords: Divergent Feminism, Movie
