The Continuity of Walisongo's Islamic Propagation (Da'wah): Religious Faculties at State Islamic Universities (UIN) in Indonesia Jejen Musfah

Abstract

"The Decline of Muslim Numbers and the Waning Interest in Religious Studies: A Paradox for State Islamic Universities (Universitas Islam Negeri — UIN), Including One Named Walisongo (Referring to Nine Medieval Saints Who Spread Islam in Java). The Islamic Propagation Efforts of Walisongo, Aimed at Islamizing the Javanese Region, Producing 'Ulama Cadres, and Establishing an Islamic Society, Have Seen a Decrease. This Study Aims to Analyze the Reasons for Students' Low Interest in Religious Faculties at UINs and Connect Them to the Spirit of Walisongo's Endeavors. The Study Utilizes a Literature Research Method with a Qualitative Approach, without Quantitative Data Calculation. The Study Concludes that the Existence of Religious Faculties at UINs Is in Line with Walisongo's Objective of Spreading Islam through Educational Institutions. The Religious Faculties, Seen as a Continuation of Walisongo's Struggle in Propagating Islam, Comprise Four Faculties: Adab, Ushuluddin, Syarī'ah, and Da'wah. In the Case of UIN Jakarta, There is a Faculty of Dirāsāt Islamiyyah, Collaborating with Al-Azhar University in Cairo. While Religious Faculties Experienced a Golden Age during the IAIN (Institute of Islamic Studies) Period, They Have Been Diminishing in the UIN Period. The Decline is Evident in the Decreasing Number of Students, Especially in Comparison to the Enrollment Numbers of Secular Faculties at UINs."

Abstract

This study describes the strategy of women's leadership in increasing competitiveness in the AL-Kalam Vocational School, Lebak Regency. Principals as leaders of educational institutions need to renew strategies in dealing with educational competitiveness. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques in this study are through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Activities in data analysis are: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that there were 9 strategies for female school principals in dealing with or increasing competitiveness, namely: pricing strategies, promotion strategies, improving school management, providing training for teachers, carrying out learning innovations, creating school character or characteristics, working with the industrial business world, hospitality and good communication.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi program pelatihan School For Principal (SP            c) Sekolah Guru Indonesia (SGI) Dompet Dhuafa. SPC merupakan salah satu program SGI yang berfokus pada peningkatan kompetensi Kepala Sekolah. Program pelatihan nonformal yang berada di bawah naungan Dompet Dhuafa Coorporate University ini diadakan setiap pekan sekali selama tiga bulan.  Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan studi kasus pada SPC wilayah Pandeglang, Banten dengan menggunakan model CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product). Subjek penelitian adalah kepala SGI, fasilitator dan peserta SPC Wilayah Pandeglang, Banten. Adapun, kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 28 kepala sekolah yang tersebar di 12 Kecamatan wilayah Pandeglang Banten, terdiri dari 16  Sekolah Dasar (SD) dan 11 Madrsah Ibtidaiyah (MI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: Pada aspek Context menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan telah sesuai dengan kebutuhan para peserta. Pada aspek input, materi pelatihan sesuai dengan kebutuhan, metode sudah relevan, tata tertib dan nilai-nilai sudah membudaya.  Pada aspek process menunjukkan adanya kesesuaian antara perencanaan dengan pelaksanaan program. Sedangkan aspek product menunjukkan bahwa hasil nilai yang diperoleh peserta adalah baik. Selain itu, dari hasil CSI   (Costumer Satisfication Index) menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan yang tinggi terhadap program. Dengan demikian, program ini dapat dilanjutkan untuk memperbaiki mutu Kepala Sekolah dan Kepala Madrasah.

Abstract

Rasulullah is a reliable manager and leader of Islamic education. The management of Islamic education applied by the Prophet Muhammad is very thick with management values that are currently needed. Indonesia needs role models and leadership and management who believe that positions are responsibilities in this world and in the hereafter, so that leaders can work with heart. The example of leadership is actually in the Prophet Muhammad SAW because he is a leader who gives birth to leaders who are successful in all fields. In this study, the author uses a qualitative research method with a library research approach. The results of this study indicate that all the attitudes and traits of the Prophet Muhammad are categorized into transformational leadership models. Based on the theory, transformational leadership describes the attitude of a leader who is able to influence and direct subordinates in an effective way to achieve predetermined organizational goals.

Abstract

AbstractThe presence of Pesantren for women in Indonesia is nothing new as, since tens of years ago, Islamic boarding schools for women have their own share in the society. Besides having peculiarities, Islamic boarding school for women is certainly capable of preparing the younger generation of educators in the future. Diniyah Putri Lampung (DPL) can be considered the only female Islamic boarding school that has a plus in education in this region. In addition to equipping students with the academic knowledge, it also prepares them with a number of practical knowledge which would be useful when they get married. Throughqualitative research, it was found that Diniyah Putri Lampung was founded by some public figures of Lampung who care about education. They sent some young women to study at Diniyah Putri in Padang Panjang, West Sumatera, to study. It can be concluded that DPL is a “copy” of Diniyah Putri in Padang Panjang in terms of education, cadre preparation, and curriculum. AbstrakKehadiran pesantren putri di indonesia bukan fenomena baru. Sejak puluhan tahun silam, pesantren yang hanya khusus mendidik perempuan ini memiliki andil tersendiri bagi masyarakat. selain memiliki kekhasan, pesantren putri tentu tak kalah dalam menyiapkan generasi muda pendidik di masa mendatang. Diniyah Putri Lampung (DPL) bisa disebut satu-satunya pesantren putri yang memiliki nilai plus dalam pendidikan di wilayah ini. selain membekali santri dengan ilmu akademis, juga menyiapkan mereka dengan sejumlah ilmu praktis sebagai calon ibu rumah tangga. melalui penelitian kualitatif, ditemukan bahwa diniyah putri lampung didirikan oleh beberapa tokoh masyarakat lampung yang peduli pendidikan. mereka mengirimkan beberapa remaja putri untuk belajar di diniyah putri padang panjang, sumatera barat, untuk belajar. bisa disimpulkan bahwa dpl merupakan “fotokopi” diniyah putri padang panjang dalam pendidikan, pengkaderan, dan kurikulumnya.
