Abstract

Mathematics is a subject where the experience of solving problems using methods or formulas will help students build knowledge and concepts. The problem faced by third-grade elementary school students is that they are less motivated to solve mathematics through the methods or formulas given by the teacher. They have not been able to enjoy the process of solving problems, which makes their knowledge less meaningful. This has an effect on low math learning outcomes. The research was done to determine the implementation of the project-based learning model to improve the mathematics learning outcomes for third-grade students at SDN I Gegeran. This type of research used classroom action research (PTK), which includes two cycles. The research subjects were taken by students of class III at SDN I Gegeran. The results of the data analysis showed that the learning outcomes of students at the pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II stages had increased. In the pre-cycle, an average of 69 was obtained. It experienced an increase of 77 in cycle I and increased significantly to 86 in cycle II. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the project-based learning model can improve the mathematics learning outcomes for third-grade students at SDN I Gegeran.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to determine the increase in mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students by using a media-based PBL model. This research is a classroom action research. As data symbols, namely teachers and students. This research using interview techniques, observation, and tests for collecting data study. The method used in analyzing the data in this study is descriptive qualitative and descriptive comparative. The learning steps with the PBL model are: (1) student orientation to problems, (2) organizing students to learn, (3) guiding students in learning, (4) presenting work, (5) analyzing and evaluating the results of solving problem. So that there was an increase in mathematics learning outcomes starting from the pre-action test 69.73 and experienced an increase in cycle I to 74.47 then in cycle II it increased to 82.36.

Abstract

Literacy skills and numeracy skills are basic and mandatory skills for elementary school students to learn. Literacy skills and numeracy skills are one part of the application of critical thinking. Through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by Game Based Learning it is hoped that it can help students to have these skills. Stephen Kemmis and Mc. Taggart became the model for this research using the PTK method or Classroom Action Research by going through three learning cycles. The results of the implementation of Problem Based Learning assisted by Game Based Learning on numeracy skills have results in cycle I of 38%, in cycle II of 56% while in cycle III of 75%. The results of the implementation of Problem Based Learning assisted by Game Based Learning on literacy skills have results in cycle I of 31%, in cycle II of 50% while in cycle III of 75%. From these results it can be concluded that the implementation of GBL-assisted PBL can improve the literacy skills and numeracy skills of students at SDN 2 Glinggang Kab. Ponorogo.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 1 Sukorejo by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with the help of concrete media. The research method used was classroom action research consisting of two cycles. Each cycle includes the stages of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Concrete media is used to visualize the concept of geometric shapes in learning. Learning outcomes data obtained through tests, observations, and interviews. The results showed that there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes after implementing the PBL model assisted by concrete media. In the first cycle, 8 out of 13 students completed the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), while in the second cycle, 12 out of 13 students completed the KKM. In addition, students also reported that the use of concrete media helped them understand concepts better because they could see 3D shapes. This study concludes that the PBL model assisted by concrete media is effective in improving the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Mathematics is reffered to as a difficult subject by students. The lecture method is still the teacher’s favorite for teaching in class II SDN 1 Plosojenar, this has the impact of students becoming passive, the focus of students is lacking which results in less than optimal learning outcomes and does not reach the minimum criteria completeness, escepially in unit time materials. Through the use of a problem-based learning model, this study seeks to improve students mathematics learning outcomes in the unit time material. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The spiral PTK model from Stephen Kemmis and Robin Mc Taggart was chosen in this study using cycles. Each cycle consist of 4 stages namely 1) planning, 2) action, 3) observation, 4) reflection. The research subjects were class II students at SDN 1 Plosojenar Kec. Kaumen, Kab. Ponorogo, totaled 11 students. If the learning outcomes get a value above the KKM≥70 then the learning is said to be successful. The results of the data analysis showed that the learning outcomes of students at the pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II stages had increased. At the pre-cycle stage, only 27% of students complete. Then learning outcomes increased in cycle I by 55% of students who completed and increased significantly in cycle II by 82% of students. Through the application of PBL (Problem Based Learning) in learning, students can understand the concept of learning by thinking deeply and learning outcomes increase
