Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop discovery learning student worksheets in class VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Kurik and to improve the ability to think creatively in mathematics learning for material in Two Variable Linear Equation Systems (SPLDV). The instrument of data collection in this study is a matter of pre-test and post-test, questionnaire, observation and documentation. This type of research uses development research, research design using the model of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE), the subject of research is VIIIA grade students of SMP 4 Kurik. The object of the research is student worksheets with the subject matter of two-variable linear equation systems. Development research methods, including research design, research sites, subjects, data sources, data collection techniques, research instruments and data analysis techniques using tabulation data to determine the increase after and before using student worksheets. The results of the study and conclusions obtained the level of mathematical creative thinking of class VIIIA students of SMP N 4 Kurik after being tested on this student worksheet of 92.19% with a level of creative thinking in the aspect of fluency of 90.63%, aspects of flexibility 95.83%, aspects of authenticity of 92 , 71%, and detail aspects 89.58%. This shows that this student worksheet is effectively used in teaching and learning activities. Keywords: Student Worksheets, Discovery Learning, Creative Thinking.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve the results of learning math grade VIII B SMP Negeri 2 Merauke on material Composition functions and the inverse of a function through the application of cooperative learning, Jigsaw-type model. Design research is the research action class is done in two cycles with each cycle conducted two meetings. The subject of research as many as 27 students in grades VIII B SMP Negeri 2 Merauke. The instruments used in the form of tests and observation sheets. The results in this study is the increased Mastery Learning students at pre cycle of 33.3%, I cycle of 63% and cycle II by 89%. In addition the average value, the activity of teacher and student activity obtained also experienced an increase. Based on the results obtained in overall it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model Jigsaw type can improve the results of learning math grade VIII B SMP Negeri 2 Merauke. Abstract

This research is a classroom action research that aims to increase interest and achievement of learning mathematics using Advance Organizer model. This research was conducted in two cycles with 4 meetings in each cycle. Subjects in the study consisted of 28 students, 17 male students and 11 female students of grade IX SMP Negeri 2 Merauke. Data collection techniques used are test techniques for achievement tests and non-test techniques for interest questionnaires and observation sheets. The result of the research is the interest of learning mathematics of students in cycle I was 64,29% which is in good category and very good and in cycle II student learning interest increased to 78,58% which is in good category and very good. Student learning achievement in pre cycle with the value above 61 was 35,71% complete. In the first cycle student achievement increased by 53.57% of students value above 61 and on the second cycle student achievement increased to78.57% of students who reached Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). Based on the result, it can be concluded that Advance Organizer model can increase interest and achievement of mathematics learning of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Merauke.
