Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of population density of broiler chickens (Gallus sp.) in the cages to the hypertrophy of adrenocortical cells. This study was conducted using complete randomized design (CRD) with 84 broiler chickens. All chickens were divided into 4 groups with 3 replications. Each group consists of 4 chickens (K1), 6 chickens (K2), 8 chickens (K3), and 10 chickens (K4). Chickens were rear from aged of 2 days up to 35 days. The histopathological examination of adrenal glands were performed by collected the adrenal glands of chickens then proceed to histopathological method and stained with haematoxylin eosin (HE). The percentage of hypertrophy of adreno cortical cells was calculated. The results of statistical analysis showed that the population densities of broiler chickens had highly significant effect (P0.01) to the histopathology of adrenal gland. The highest average of hypertrophy was found in K4. To conclude, the highest the dense population of broiler chickens in the cage, the highest the number of hypertrophy of adenocortical cells.Key words: population density, hypertrophy of adrenocortical cell

Abstract

 Penelitian Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeteksi antibodi spesifik terhadap virus Avian Influenza subtipe H5N1 pada burung merpati. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan Universitas Syiah Kuala, Darussalam Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel serum darah burung merpati sebanyak 25 sampel. Pengambilan sampel darah merpati menggunakan spuit 3cc melalui vena brachialis di kiri ataupun kanan bawah sayap merpati, kemudian didiamkan selama 6-10 jam dengan posisi miring. Darah dibiarkan  hingga terpisah dari serum, kemudian serum dikoleksi dan disimpan di suhu -20°C. Serum sebelum digunakan  terlebih dahulu di simpan pada suhu 56°C selama 30 menit untuk menginaktifasi komplemen. Pemeriksaan sampel tersebut menggunakan uji Hemaglutinasi Inhibisi (HI). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 25 sampel serum yang diperiksa, 22 sampel (88%) positif mengandung antibodi terhadap virus Avian Influenza subtipe H5N1 namun 3 sampel (12%) tidak mengandung titer antibodi terhadap virus Avian Influenza subtipe H5N1. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa merpati tersebut pernah terpapar oleh virus Avian influenza subtipe H5N1. Kata kunci: merpati, avian influenza, antibodi, uji hiABSTRACT This study aims to detect specific antibodies of  Avian Influenza virus H5N1 subtype on pigeons. This study was carried out at the Microbiology Laboratory, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh. This study used 25 pigeon blood serum samples. Pigeons blood sampling using 3cc syringe through the brachial vein on the left or right under the pigeons wings, then allowed to stand for 6-10 hours with a sloping position. The blood is left frozen so that the serum is separated, then the serum is collected and stored at -20 ° C. Serum samples of pigeons before being used inactivated first at 56 ° C temperature for 30 minutes. Examination of these samples uses the Hemaglutination Inhibition (HI) test. The results of this study showed that the 25 examined serum samples, 22 positive samples contained antibody titers of the H5N1 subtype Avian Influenza virus and only 3 negative samples contained antibody titers against the Avian Influenza virus subtype H5N1. The presence of antibodies formed in the pigeon's serum showed that the pigeon had been exposed to the H5N1 subtype Avian Influenza virus. Keywords: pigeon, avian influenza, antibody, hi test

Abstract

The transformation of garap music into campursari music of the Balisa group in Sragen was motivated by the phenomenon of garap transfer from traditional musical karawitan into campursari musical form. This garap transition is a creative way for Balisa members to work on garap gending, one of which is Gendhing Cucur Bawuk into campursari music. The creative process that occurs in the elements of working on music is manifested in the stages in transforming the processing of gending. The transformation process of gending is influenced by several supporting factors. To answer this problem, the author uses the concept of garap and is supported by thoughts about transformation. This research uses a qualitative methodology, by conducting observations, interviews and literature studies so that information or related data are obtained. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of transformation of music production that occurred in the Balisa Campursari group. The results showed that the transformation of music production in the Campursaari Balisa group went through several stages such as instrument adjustment, laras adjustment, and style adjustment. The factors that support this transformation process are determined by the “penggarap”, garap determinant and garap consideration.Keywords: transformation, campursari music, garap gending.

Abstract

This research is motivated on the phenomenon of ndadi in Jathilan Turonggo Mudo performance. Ndadi phenomena associated with the world of the cosmos and there are several steps that must be done to achieve it. One way to achieve ndadi conditions is the use of music. Music, which in this case is a gendhing Jathilan believed to help as a bridge in the process of achieving ndadi. This study aims to reveal the role of music as an element that supports ndadi conditions. Gendhing Jathilan became one of preconditions required the establishment of the relation. Ndadi in Jathilan performances occurs when gendhing jathilan is presented as a musical accompaniment. Nevertheless gendhing Jathilan is not create or form someone to ndadi but as a facilitator in delivering a dancer to experience ndadi. It is based on the gendhing Jathilan relation with the other context of ndadi. Gendhing Jathilan becomes a stimulus to bring a behavior called the ndadi. Gendhing Jathilan has the potential characteristics in ndadi conditioning process. The characters in addition to referring to the gendhing jathilan performance, also the form / structure of gendhing such as strophic form, ostinato, and repetitive. Gendhing Jathilan in the final round performances jathilan presented three times. In each of these perform have the respective roles in the process of ndadi. Gendhing Jathilan has some role in every phase of the ndadi process such as gendhing as a conductor of ndadi, gendhing as ndadi accompaniment and gendhing in healing of ndadi.Keywords: ndadi, role, characters, gendhing Jathilan

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketertarikan terhadap perkembangan garap karawitan Jaranan yang terjadi pada kelompok seni Guyubing Budaya di Kota Blitar. Kelompok tersebut berusaha mengembangkan garap karawitan Jaranan dengan tujuan mendapatkan kepopuleran dan mengoptimalkan sajian pertunjukan kesenian Jaranan sebagai upaya menjaga kualitas di kalangan masyarakat dengan tetap mempertimbangkan kearifan lokal warisan leluhur kesenian Jaranan yang telah diwariskan secara turun-temurun. Permalahan yang ingin dijawab pada penelitian ini adalah, (1) bagaimana kronologi perkembangan garap karawitan Jaranan kelompok seni Guyubing Budaya dari tahun 1920 sampai 2017, (2) mengapa garap karawitan Jaranan kelompok seni Guyubing Budaya saat ini mengalami perkembangan.Konsep garap Rahayu Supanggah digunakan untuk mengupas permasalahan terkait garap. Dengan dasar konsep tersebut, garap karawitan Jaranan dapat dibagi berdasarkan unsur-unsur garap di dalamnya yang meliputi (1) materi garap, (2) penggarap, (3) sarana garap, (4) perabot atau piranti garap, (5) penentu garap, dan (6) pertimbangan garap. Sedyawati menjelaskan istilah mengembangkan lebih mempunyai konotasi kuantitatif dan kualitatif yang berarti memperbanyak tersedianya kemungkinan untuk mengolah dan memperbarui. Teori tersebut adalah landasan untuk mengupas permasalahan terkait perkembangan. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan dasar analisis evolusi multilinear Julian Steward. Menurut Steward Terdapat tiga tahapan analitik penting untuk membaca kasus perkembangan kebudayaan dengan teori ini. Tiga tahapan tersebut adalah melakukan perbandingan, menelusuri hubungan causal, dan melihat secara mendalam elemen manusia dalam lingkungan berdasarkan kronologinya.Perkembangan garap karawitan Jaranan kelompok seni Guyubing Budaya terjadi secara kronologis, melalui beberapa tahapan masa atau waktu. Perkembangan ini terjadi karena adanya faktor-faktor pendukung dari dalam (internal) dan dari luar (eksternal) kelompok seni Guyubing Budaya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan garap karawitan Jaranan kelompok seni Guyubing Budaya terdapat benang merah dengan garap karawitan Jaranan terdahulu. Perkembangan garap tersebut juga ditunjukkan dengan penambahan materi garap, penggarap, prabot atau piranti, penentu dan sarana garapnya.Kata kunci: Garap, Perkembangan, Kronologi, Faktor Pendukung, Karawitan JarananAbstract This research is motivated by an interest in the stylistic developments of the music that accompanies Jaranan, as played by the group Guyubing Budaya in Blitar. This group has been actively developing the style of Jaranan musical accompaniment in order to maintain the quality of performances in the community while also considering the local wisdom [kearifan lokal] passed down through the generations that informs this art form.The issues explored in this research involve 1) a chronological study of Guyubing Budaya from its founding in 1920 until 2018, and 2) the changes that Guyubing Budaya is currently experiencing. This article invokes Supanggah’s theory of garap, which discusses the musical materials and tools at the disposal of the musicians is used to explore issues of musical garap It also utilizes Sedyawati’s exegesis of the term “development” which has quantitative and qualitative connotations that increase the chances for development and renewal. The research also uses Julian Stewards idea of multilinear evolution as the basis of analysis. According to Steward, there are three important analytical stages in understanding the development of culture. These stages involve making comparisons, tracing casual relationships, and taking a chronological view in order to make deep explorations of human elements within their environment.This article gives a chronological account of Guyubing Budaya through its various stages and eras, noting the internal and external factors that motivated the changes. The study shows the continuity between the musical style developed by Guyubing Budaya and the styles of Jaranan accompaniment in the past, indicated by the factors which Supanggah has outlined in his theory of garap.Keywords: Garap, Development, Chronological factors supporting development, Jaranan
