Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Kesiapan siswa Kelas XII SMK dalam menghadapi UNBK ditinjau dari kesiapan internal siswa yang terdiri dari aspek minat, motivasi, pengetahuan, dan sarana prasarana. (2) Kesiapan siswa Kelas XII SMK dalam menghadapi UNBK ditinjau dari kesiapan eksternal siswa yang terdiri dari aspek lingkungan sosial dan lingkungan non-sosial. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian jenis deskriptif dengan pembuktian kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XII program keahlian Akuntansi di SMK Ma’arif 7 Kebumen yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Angket yang digunkan dalam penelitian dalam bentuk skala likert. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) Pada kesiapan internal siswa meghadapi UNBK, sebagian besar siswa memiliki kategori sedang (cukup siap). Pada aspek minat (90,63%), motivasi (84,37%), pengetahuan (75,00%), dan sarana prasarana (65,63%). (2) Pada kesiapan eksternal siswa meghadapi UNBK, sebagian besar siswa memiliki kategori sedang (cukup siap). Ditinjau pada aspek lingkungan sosial (53,13%) dan Lingkungan Non-sosial (81,25%). This study aims to determine: (1) Readiness of Vocational School Class XII students in facing CAT in terms of students’ internal readiness which consists of aspects of interest, motivation, knowledge, and infrastructure. (2) Readiness of Vocational School Class XII students in facing CAT in terms of students’ external readiness consisting of social and non-social environmental aspects. This study is a descriptive research with quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were all students on grade XII Accounting skills program at SMK Ma’arif 7 Kebumen which amounted to 32 students. Questionnaire used in research in the form of a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that (1) On the internal readiness of students facing CAT, most students have a moderate category (quite ready). On aspects of interest (90.63%), motivation (84.37%), knowledge (75.00%), and infrastructure (65.63%). (2) On the external readiness of students facing CAT, most students have a moderate category (quite ready). Viewed on social environmental aspects (53.13%) and Non-social Environment (81.25%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan: (1) peningkatan sikap belajar siswa dan (2) proses peningkatan kompetensi dasar mengidentifikasi sumber daya dan membuat desain karya rekayasa dengan penggunaan metode pembelajaran CLTSMK pada mata pelajaran Prakarya dan Kewirausahaan yang ditunjukkan melalui motivasi, kreativitas, dan kemampuan manajerial siswa kelas X Kimia Industri di SMKN 2 Depok. Penelitian ini merupakan PTK, mengacu pada model Kemmis Mc. Taggart. Penelitian terdiri atas siklus I-III melalui tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian 32 siswa, kelas X Kimia Industri. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan wawancara. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) persentase rerata peningkatan siklus I-III sebesar 41,611%, 36,053%, dan 9,551% tinjauan motivasi; 29,239%, 40,458%, dan 18,231% tinjauan kreativitas; 30,774%, 32,311%, dan 16,996% tinjauan kemampuan manajerial siswa dan (2) proses upaya peningkatan sikap belajar melalui motivasi, kreativitas, dan kemampuan manajerial siswa terdiri atas empat fase. THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE QUALITY OF CRAFT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP TEACHING THROUGH CLTSMK METHODAbstractThis research aims to reveal: (1) the improvement of the learning attitude and (2) the process to the improvement of basic competencies in identifying resources and create an engineering work design by using CLTSMK learning method in Craft and Entrepreneurship subject shown by motivation, creativity, and managerial ability in Chemical Industry of class X students of SMKN 2 Depok. This research is classroom action research, design refers by Kemmis Mc. Taggart. This research consisted of cycle I-III, the stages of research consist of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research was 32 class X students of Chemical Industry. The data were collected using observation and interview guides. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. This research results showed: (1) the mean percentage improvement of the condition of cycle I-III subsequently are 41.611%, 36.053%, and 9.551% for the observation of students’ motivation; 29.239%, 40.458%, and 18.231% for the observation of students’ creativity; 30.774%; 32.311%; and 16.996% for the observation of students’ managerial ability and (2) the process of improving the students’ learning through motivation, creativity, and managerial ability consists of four phases.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui rumusan kompetensi tenaga mekanik alat berat sesuai standar industri; (2) mengetahui kualifikasi tenaga instruktur alat berat yang dibutuhkan industri sesuai standar industri; (3) merumuskan isi kurikulum untuk materi ajar produktif untuk menciptakan tenaga kerja di bidang alat berat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei dengan model pilihan pengembangan kurikulum Task Analysis. Penelitian dilaksanakan di industri yang bergerak di bidang alat berat dan institusi pendidikan perguruan tinggi dan SMK yang bekerja sama dengan industri alat berat yaitu PT Thiess Contractors Indonesia, PT United Tractors Indonesia, dan PT Trakindo Utama. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa: (1) kompetensi mekanik alat berat meliputi: menerapkan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja, menguasai dasar mekanik alat berat, melaksanakan perawatan dan perbaikan engine, sistem hidrolik, powertrain, sistem vehicle control, serta sistem kelistrikan alat berat minimal pada level capable (di bawah supervisi); (2) kualifikasi tenaga instruktur alat berat meliputi: memiliki kemampuan mekanik alat berat level III, memiliki kemampuan mengelola pelatihan, memiliki pengalaman kerja, serta mendapatkan pelatihan instruktur; (3) isi kurikulum untuk materi ajar produktif mekanik alat berat meliputi: dasar mekanik alat berat dan keselamatan kerja, dasar engine, dasar hidrolik, dasar vehicle control, dasar kelistrikan, materi sistem engine lanjut, sistem hidrolik lanjut, sistem powertrain lanjut, sistem vehicle control lanjut, sistem kelistrikan lanjut, product training, serta electronic machine control.Kata kunci: kompetensi, instruktur alat berat, isi kurikulum, materi ajar THE CONTENT CURRICULLUM DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATION TECHNIC IN HEAVY EQUIPMENT BASED ON INDUSTRIAL NEEDSABSTRACTThis study aims to: (1) find out the formula of competency for heavy equipment mechanic based on industry needs, (2) determine the qualifications of instructors in heavy equipment which is appropriate to the industry standards, (3) formulate the content of curriculum development for the teaching material. This research is a survey of Task Analysis curriculum development model. The research was conducted in the industry engaging in heavy equipment that has collaboration with educational institutions and vocational colleges the heavy equipment industry wich invole such as, (PT Thiess Contractors Indonesia, PT United Tractors Indonesia, and PT Trakindo Utama). The results showed that: (1) the competence of heavy equipment mechanic include: implementing occupational safety and health, mastering the basic mechanics of heavy equipment, carrying out maintenance and repairing engine, hydraulic system, powertrain, the system of vehicle control, as well as the electrical system of the machine with a minimum level capable (participants under supervision); (2) the qualifications of heavy equipment instructors includes: having the ability of heavy equipment mechanic to level III, having the skill to manage training, work experience, and training instructors; (3) The contents of the curriculum for the teaching material in heavy equipment mechanic include: basic heavy equipment mechanics and safety, the basic engine, hydraulic basic, basic vehicle control, basic electricity; Advance engine system materials, advanced hydraulic system, advanced powertrain systems, vehicle control systems further, advanced electrical systems, product training, as well as electronic machine control.Keywords: commpetence, heavy equipment instructor, curriculum content, teaching materials

Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has spread almost throughout the world. It makes all educational institutions in Indonesia experienced a lockdown in an undetermined time. As a result, teachers must switch to online teaching methods, while students must adapt to the online learning environment in a short time. Vocational education emphasizes not only the mastery of knowledge but also skills. In the learning process, students' perceptions can be used as evaluations to improve the quality of learning. This study aimed to provide an overview of students' perceptions of Mechanical Engineering Education on online learning as a result of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used survey methods and data collection in the form of instruments with a Likert scale with a sample of 56 students. The results of this study indicate that teachers in managing online learning are not in line with student expectations. Students feel that online learning has not provided better experience and productivity in mastering competencies, but can provide motivation and ease in their learning. Some students stated that they had the ease of access to resources, but students were still reluctant to use it sustainably in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  mengungkapkan:  (1)  efektivitas  technopreneneurship  di  SMK terhadap survival skills siswa, (2) motivasi belajar, (3) aspek kreativitas berfikir, dan (4) aspek manajerial  siswa  kelas  XI  jurusan  Teknik  Kendaraan  Ringan  di  SMKN  2  Depok  dan  SMK Muhammadiyah  1  Playen.  Penelitian  ini  merupakan  penelitian  quasi  eksperimen.  Desain penelitian mengacu pada model yang dikembangkan oleh Ary Donald et.al. Penelitian ini terdiri dari  kelas  kontrol  menggunakan  metode  pembelajaran  konvensional  dan  kelas  eksperimen menggunakan  model  pembelajaran  CLTSMK.  Hasil  penelitian  menunjukan  bahwa:  (1) Penerapan model pembelajaran CLTSMK efektif terhadap pengembangan survival skills siswa (2)  Aspek  motivasi  belajar  pada  kelas  kontrol  A  kualifikasi  “Kurang”  sementara  kelas eksperimen kualifikasi “Baik Sekali”. motivasi belajar pada kelas kontrol B kualifikasi “Cukup” sementara kelas eksperimen dengan kualifikasi “Baik Sekali”. (3) Aspek kreativitas berfikir pada kelas  kontrol  A  kualifikasi  “Cukup”  sementara  kelas  eksperimen  kualifikasi  “Baik  Sekali”. Kreativitas  berfikir  pada  kelas  kontrol  B  kualifikasi  “Cukup”  sementara  kelas  eksperimen kualifikasi “Baik Sekali”. (4) Aspek manajerial siswa pada kelas control A kualifikasi “Cukup” sementara kelas eksperimen n kualifikasi “ Baik Sekali”. Manajerial siswa pada kelas kontrol B kualifikasi “Cukup” sementara kelas eksperimen kualifikasi “Baik Sekali”.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pencapaian kompetensi siswa membuat pola menggunakan pembelajaran berbantuan media adobe flash dan media power point berdasarkan kemampuan belajarnya pada mata diklat membuat pola. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan variabel terikat kompetensi siswa, variabel bebas media berbasis komputer, dan variabel moderator kemampuan siswa. Dua kelas sebagai subyek penelitian dengan 22 siswa pada masing-masing kelas, sehingga jumlah keseluruhan 44 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar penilaian unjuk kerja dan soal post test. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Anova jalur ganda dan uji lanjut Tukeys. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan pencapaian kompetensi siswa membuat pola yang menggunakan pembelajaran berbantuan media adobe flash dan media power point, (2) terdapat perbedaan pencapaian kompetensi siswa pada kelompok tinggi, (3) tidak terdapat perbedaan pencapaian kompetensi siswa pada kelompok rendah, dan (4) terjadi interaksi antara penggunaan media berbasis komputer dan kelompok kemampuan siswa terhadap kompetensi siswa membuat pola. THE EFFECT OF LEARNING THROUGH COMPUTER-BASED MEDIA ON THE COMPETENCY IN PATTERN MAKING STUDENTS OF SMKN 6 YOGYAKARTAAbstractThis study aimed to investigate difference in the attainment of the student competency in pattern making that using learning strategies Adobe Flash media and Power Point media based on the learning capability of the pattern making. This was a quasi-experimental study involving student’s competency as the dependent variable, computer-based media as a independent variable, and student’s capability as the moderator variable. Two class as research subjects with 22 students in each class, so that the total was 44 students. The instruments were a performance assessment sheet and a post-test. The data were analyzed by means two-way ANOVA and Tukey’s post-hoc test. The results of study show that (1) there was a difference in the attainment of the students competency in pattern making that using learning strategies Adobe Flash media and Power Point media, (2) there was a difference in the attainment of the students competency in the upper group learning, (3) there was no difference in the attainment of the students competency in the lower group learning, and (4) there was an interaction of the use of computer-based media and the student learning capability group on the students competency in pattern making.

Abstract

According to the field of expertise, efforts to strengthen the competence of graduates continue to be pursued, especially through optimizing the learning process. Among these efforts is to use learning media that strengthen the competence of the field of study and about thinking skills. This study aims to produce a trainer kit as a medium for learning basic electricity and electronics based on fault-finding in Basic Electrical and Electronics subjects. The method used is the Richey and Klein Design and Development (DD) method which consists of three stages, including planning (design), production, and evaluation. Experts carried out the assessment of the feasibility of the trainer kit with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Abstract

This study aims to determine the perceptions of graduates of state vocational high schools in Langsa City on the performance of Special Job Market in vocational high schools based on the aspects of (1) Special Job Market performance; (2) role of Special Job Market; (3) Special Job Market service; and (4) the success of the Special Job Market. This study is quantitative research employing a descriptive approach. The population of the research is 365 graduates tracked through the Special Job Market of four vocational schools in Langsa City in 2007/2008. From the population, 15% were taken for the samples of the study, so the number of respondents is 55 graduates. The result of the research shows that: (1) the percentage of Special Job Market performance aspect is 58.54% with “quite satisfied” criteria; (2) the percentage of role of Special Job Market aspect is 59.14% with “quite satisfied” criteria; (3)  the percentage of Special Job Market service aspect is 51.02% with “quite satisfied” criteria; and (4) the percentage of the success of the Special Job Market aspect is 51.17% with “quite satisfied” criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan keefektifan pengelolaan lab komputer di sekolah menengah kejuruan negeri se Kota Banjarbaru, menggunakan pendekatan deskritif kualitatif, bertempat di SMK negeri se Kota Banjarbaru. Populasi sekaligus menjadi sampel penelitian adalah tiga orang kepala sekolah, 15 orang guru, tiga orang laboran, 30 orang siswa kelas XII. Objek penelitian adalah lab komputer. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terstruktur dan observasi di lapangan. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket dan lembar observasi. Data dianalisis dengan cara membandingkan antara rerata skor observasi dan norma yang telah ditentukan. Pengelolaan lab komputer secara umum kurang efektif, perencanaan yang tidak terstruktur dan kurang melibatkan pihak-pihak yang berkepentingan, pengorganisasian yang tidak maksimal, pelaksanaan yang masih kurang sesuai dengan perencanaan, dan pengawasan yang dilakukan secara tidak terencana dan tidak ada tindak lanjut yang jelas. Untuk itu pengelolaan lab komputer memerlukan strategi dalam melaksanakan fungsinya sebagai salah satu sarana dan prasarana kegiatan pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan kekuatan sumber daya yang ada, memperbaiki kelemahan, dan tanggap terhadap peluang serta mencari solusi untuk setiap hambatan yang ditemukan. Untuk meningkatkan keefektifan pengelolaan lab komputer dilakukan dengan konsultasi dan komunikasi dua arah dengan pihak yang terkait dalam upaya memberdayakan dan mengembangkan sumber daya serta memberi solusi dan arahan penyelesaian masalah yang tepat. Kata kunci: keefektifan, pengelolaan, lab komputer THE MANAGEMENT OF COMPUTER LABORATORIES IN VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL Abstract This study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of the management of computer labs in state vocational high schools in Banjarbaru. This study used the qualitative descriptive approach, held at all vocational high schools in Banjarbaru. The sample of the study which was also the population consisted of three principals, 15 teachers, three laboratorians, and 30 students of class XII. The objects were computer laboratories. The techniques of collecting the data were structured interviews and field observations. The research instruments were in the form of questionnaire and observation sheet. The data were analyzed by comparing the mean of observation score with the predetermined norm. The research results were as follows. The management of computer labs was generally not effective. This could be seen from the unstructured planning and a lack of involvement of the related parties, the organization which was not maximum, the implementation which was still not in accordance with the planning, and the unplanned supervision without any clear follow-up. Therefore, computer lab management needed strategies to carry out its function as one of the learning activity infrastructures by making use of existing resources, improving weaknesses, being responsive to the opportunities, and finding solutions to any obstacles found. Improving the effectiveness of the computer lab management should be done by conducting two-way communication and consultation with relevant parties in an effort to empower and develop resources and provide solutions and guidance to solve problems accurately. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan keefektifan pembelajaran berbantuan internet di sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) Se-Kota Yogyakarta. Sekolah-sekolah tersebut dipilih yang memiliki kompetensi keahlian Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan (TKJ) dan sudah melaksanakan pembelajaran berbantuan internet sebagai persiapan untuk menyambut Asian Community 2015 pada kerjasama Promoting Information and Comunication Technology (ICT), sehingga perlu diketahui sejauh mana keefektifannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian expost facto. Variabel penelitiannya adalah penguasaan strategi pembelajaran guru, sikap siswa, kualifikasi guru, dan kelengkapan sarana dan prasarana laboratorium komputer. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 2 dan seluruh guru yang mengajar kelas 2 kompetensi keahlian teknik komputer dan jaringan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa angket untuk guru dan siswa, dan lembar observasi untuk kelengkapan sarana dan prasarana laboratorium komputer. Hasil analisis deskriptif mengungkapkan bahwa penguasaan strategi pembelajaran guru berada pada kategori baik (rerata 150,52) dengan tingkat kecendrungan sebesar 53,29% belum memenuhi standar yang telah ditetapkan pada kategori pembelajaran yang efektif, dan sikap siswa berada pada kategori baik (rerata 62,95) dengan tingkat kecendrungan sebesar 54,31%. Secara keseluruhan pembelajaran berbantuan internet di SMK Se-Kota Yogyakarta sudah efektif, meskipun penguasaan strategi pembelajaran guru perlu ditingkatkan dengan mengikutsertakan mereka pada pelatihan-pelatihan yang berhubungan dengan pembelajaran berbantuan internet.  THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE INTERNET-ASSISTED TEACHING OF THE EXPERTISE COMPETENCY OF COMPUTER AND NETWORK ENGINEERING IN VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS IN YOGYAKARTA CITYAbstractThis study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the internet-assisted teaching in vocational high schools (VHSs) in Yogyakarta City. The selected schools are those running the expertise competency of Computer and Network Engineering (CNE) and implementing the internet-assisted teaching as a preparation to welcome Asian Community 2015 in the cooperation in Promoting Information and Communication Technology so that the effectiveness needs investigating. This was an ex post facto study. The research variables were teachers’ mastery of teaching strategies, students’ attitudes, teachers’ qualifications, and adequacy of infrastructure facilities in the computer laboratory. The research population comprised Grade 2 students and all teachers of Grade 2 teaching the expertise competency of CNE. The research instruments included questionnaires for teachers and students and an observation sheet for the adequacy of infrastructure facilities in the computer laboratory. The results of the descriptive analysis reveal that teachers’ mastery of teaching strategies is in the good category (with a mean of 150,52) at a tendency level of 53,29%, which has not satisfied the standard set for the effective teaching category; students’ attitude is in the moderate category (with a mean of 62,95) at a tendency level of 54,31%. On the whole, the internet-assisted teaching in VHSs in Yogyakarta City is already effective, although for the mastery of teaching strategies teachers need to improve themselves by attending trainings related to the internet-assisted teaching.
