Abstract

This study aim is to determine the effect of business risk and the size of company on capital structure and firm value. The population of this study were 9 companies in pharmaceutical sub-sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Sample size was determined by census method-taking all population as sample. This study used secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (www.idx.co.id) and ICMD in 2006-2013. The study implemented path analysis technique. The results show that, firstly, business risk and firm size is have a positive and significant impact on capital structure. Secondly, business risk has a negative and significant effect on company value, whereas size of the company has a positive and significant effect on company value. On the other hand, and capital structure has positive yet not significant effect company value. Thirdly, capital structure emerges as mediating variable in the affect of business risk on the company value

Abstract

Penelitianinibertujuanuntukmenganalisislingkungan internal dan lingkunganeksternalsertastrategi pengembangan Industri Kecil Menengah (IKM). Populasipenelitianiniadalahseluruh IKM Produk Herbal di KabupatenBadungyang merupakanProdukUnggulan di KabupatenBadung.jumlahIKM Produk Herbal di KabupatenBadungsebanyak 110 unit. Sampeldiambilsecarasensusatausampeljenuhyaituseluruhpopulasidijadikansampel. Data dianalisismenggunakanmetodeAnalisis SWOT (strenght, weakness, opportunity, treats) yang dituangkan dalam MatrikEksternal Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS) danMatrikInternal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS). Abstract

This research is aimed to indentify the defining variables of the success of Village Installment Institution and composing the empowerment strategy and work plan as founding source of Middle and Micro Business. 142 Village Installment Institutions in Gianyar Regency are taken as samples in this research. They are taken based on their performance by using Stratified Random Sampling. In addition, SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat) is used as the analysis tool in this research. Based on the result of analysis, it is found that recently, Village Installment Institution in Gianyar Regency has strong competitive quality and middle attractive quality. The suggested strategies to improve the competitive and attractive quality as Middle and Micro Founding Institution are Growth and Build strategy. The strategy covers the market penetration strategy-active improvement by using pick up system to middle and micro business in its area, and product development – as middle and micro business founding source by using profit sharing

Abstract

The Village Credit Institution (LPD) as a rural microfinance institution, its operational activities are limited within the village area, experienced a fairly rapid development from eight units in 1984, reaching 1443 units in 2019, but there were 177 units (12.35 percent) not operating. The measurement of the performance of LPD is determined from the indicators of the level of health which are more assessed from financial ratios. In this study, non-financial variables were examined as variables that affect financial performance. This study aims to analyze the non-financial variables that determine the performance of LPD, which in this study are market orientation, entrepreneurial orientation, financial literacy, financial inclusion. The research population is LPD operating in Bali Province in 2019 as many as 1256 units. determined using the Slovin formula with an allowance of 10 percent, which is 93 units, Sampling with stratified proportional random sampling based on the health level of LPD, The method of analysis is Partial Least Square (PLS), it was found that the increase in entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation, financial literacy and the financial inclusion of the Village Credit Institution management has an impact on improving its performance. The implications for the management of the Village Credit Institution in improving its performance can increase entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation. financial literacy, management inclusion.
