Abstract

Fishing is an activity to catch fish which can be a livelihood, sport, or hobby that is carried out on the edge or in the middle of the sea, rivers, lakes and other waters. Fishing activities can be a leisure activity or a means of weekend recreation and a means of channeling hobbies. The fans come from various upper classes, middle and lower classes and fishing can be done by anyone, from teenagers to the elderly, both men and women can do fishing activities. Technology advances, fishing rods are made of high-tech materials and have better strength. In addition, these materials are lighter and more sensitive. Along with the times and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, fishing activities are increasingly popular, and the emergence of various fishing communities in various places, therefore training is needed to make fishing rods for independence and open business opportunities for young people of productive age. Partners in community service with the Mono-Year Partnership scheme have the output targets of scientific publications, mass media publications, increasing competitiveness, and increasing the application of science and technology. The methods used in this program are socialization to increase understanding about fishing and fishing gear, training in making custom fishing rods and providing operational support assistance.

Abstract

The program fosters the entrepreneurial spirit in all levels of society, becoming an important thing that must be done to overcome and anticipate the development of the hususnya era in the conditions of the covid-19 pandemic. Entrepreneurship training becomes one solution as an effort to foster the entrepreneurial spirit in the community. The methods carried out in this program are Socialization to grow the entrepreneurial spirit, Training in Making hijabs and masks, Training in Organizational Management and Marketing and Providing production support assistance.  Pondok pesantren is one of the nor formal educational institutions in Indonesia, which serves as a source of value and morality, to print qualified cadres and experts in the field of religion. But it is inevitable the fact that santri individuals come from different backgrounds and have different interests and talents. With its distinctive culture, the combination of santri and pesantren culture can produce entrepreneurs in the field of creative enterprises that can produce various pruduk for economic independence in pesantren. Partners in community service with this Community Partnership Program scheme are Para santri at pondok ulumul Quran Jalan Wahid Hasyim, Kwala Bingai, Stabat, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are part of the Islamic education system which has the aim of forming a civil society that is in line with government programs. Islamic boarding schools, which are known as institutions that focus on Islamic religious education, have undergone changes with the inclusion of general subjects. The goal is for students to be more responsive to the times. Santri have assets that need to be explored because santri are a group of students who are educated with a unique pesantren culture. The students have talents and interests that need to be explored and developed. One way to do this is by empowering productive santri groups. The method used in this program is the Socialization of the program and Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) involving all targets so that youth can be empowered by removing all assets owned to form a Joint Business for Mutual benefit. This service seeks to facilitate the students by providing training such as the delivery of Entrepreneurship material, the formation of productive student groups and the provision of operational assistance. The results of the training show an increase in skills and an increase in the desire of students to become entrepreneurs and the formation of productive student groups. This community service is a real effort and role of the University of North Sumatra to provide benefits to the community.
