Abstract

This study aims to develop alternatives for making vegetable protein based feed for the growth of African Catfish seeds (Clarias gariepinus) by utilizing flour made from Kiapu (Pistia stratiotes). This research was conducted for ± 1 month, namely from September to October 2017. The place of this research was conducted at the Laboratory of Aquaculture Study Program, Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Palangka Raya. From the research that has been carried out it can be concluded that the growth rate of length and weight of African Catfish seeds during the observations showed good results. The use of kiapu flour as an addition to the Prima Feed commercial feed on the growth of African Catfish seeds shows a response to weight and length growth. However, for Fengli Fl-1 type feed, kiapu flour which is given in conjunction with Prima Feed type feed is still under Fengli Fl-1 type feed. Conversion of feed from Fengli Fl-1 commercial feed is lower than Prima Feed commercial feed mixed with kiapu flour. Keywords : Additional feed, kiapu flour, African Catfish seeds.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to obtain data on the selectivity of some fishing gear size several types of fish, the mortality parameter several species of fish, fishing season and yield of some fishing gear. The information is expected to provide fill for the management of Rungan river fishery. Research carried out for 4 months, i.e. May to September 2012. Fish sampling techniques performed in a random way and the records maintained by the respondent. The catch from Upper River shows lower yields than from Lower River and estuary. In terms of size selectivity of the fishing gear, fishing gear Selambau jeopardize the sustainability of fish resources, especially for large fish species such as Baung and Haruan, due to the small size when not had time to reproduce has been caught. Value of the rate of catch for large fish that is high enough are: E = 0.71 for Gabus and 0.57 for Baung . As for small fish such as tambakan, value of catch rate is still low E = 0, 41

Abstract

This study was aimed to analyze the productivity, influence factors of the catch and profit level of fishing business in gill net and trap net. This research was conducted for two month, in February-March 2018 with 4 sampling at Lake Marang, Marang Village, Bukit Batu Sub-District of Palangka Raya Municipality. The results of the research in Lake Marang indicated that the productivity of gill net fishing gear amounted to 8.67 Kg and trap net fishing gear amounted to 23.33 Kg in 2017. Based on the interviews with 10 fishermen as respondents, shows profit income of Rp. 4,212,000 per year, while relative profit business (Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C)) obtained average at 2. Analysis show that point of both fishing gears are eligible (value R/C >1). In a whole, income generally by gill net and trap net are enough to cover the expense of operational cost. Abstract

Community Service program Kahayan Mina fish farmers group in Pahandut Seberang Village, Pahandut Subdistrict, Palangka Raya City in the form of an effort to implement masculinization cultivation technology on tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in soil ponds with the aim of increasing the knowledge and skills of target audiences and their benefits. New micro for target partners. Method of activity with the purpose of direct participant observation and interviews, training, technical guidance and demonstration plot demonstration area. The results of the Community Service program in the Kahayan Mina fish cultivator group in cultivating Tilapia in the soil pool can understand and know the tilapia fish maintenance techniques with a maleization/masculinization system.

Abstract

Community Service Program (PPM) activities that will be carried out in the Haru Mangat fish farmer group in the form of technology for Betab Cultivation (Anabas testudineus) with an intensive system through the feminization process in the fish, to increase the skills and knowledge of the target audience, while the benefits are to create new micro-businesses for target partners. The method of activities with the method of direct participant observation of the activities of observation and interviews, implementation of training and technical guidance, and demonstration plot demonstration activities. The outputs of the Community Service program activities in the Haru Mangat fish cultivator group especially fish farmers in cultivating Betok fish intensive systems in ponds can easily understand and know the techniques of raising Betok fish with feminization technology. The fish cultivator group is very interested to cultivate it using tarpaulin ponds.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify and to inventory water plants in Hanjalutung Lake,Petuk Ketimpun Village, Jekan Raya District, Palangka Raya City. This research was conducted from December 2017 to January 2018. Sampling was carried out in 3 (three) stations, namely inlet ,middle and outlet. The tool used for aquatic plants 2 x 2 m transect.The results of research aquatic plants found in the waters of Lake Hanjalutung 7 (seven) types namely Kiambang (Salvinia molesta), gerigit/bite (Leersia hexandra), Cat Tail Grass (Utricularia aurea), Para Grass (Cyperus platystylis), Water Hyacinth ( Eichhornia crassipes ), Kiapu (Pistia stratiotes) dan Ketanan (Polygonum sp).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the water condition of Lake Pampait, KamelohBaru Village, Sebangau District, Palangka Raya City, measured from physical and chemical water quality as a measure of the condition of the water quality in Lake Pampait. The study was conducted for approximately 2 (two) months, namely from June to July 2018. Sampling was carried out in 3 (three) stations, namely inlet (station I), middle section (station II) and outlets (station III). The physical and chemical water quality measurements are carried out directly, namely temperature, brightness, depth, pH (Degrees of Acidity) and DO (Dissolved Oxygen) while indirectly or analyzed in the laboratory are PO4 (Phosphate), NO3 (Nitrate) and NH3 (Nitrate) Ammonia). The results of research on physical and chemical water quality is an average temperature of 23.7 oC. Brightness 28.75 cm, Depth 4.25 m, Degree of Acidity (pH) with an average of 6.03, and Dissolved Oxygen (DO) 2.93 mg/L, Phosphate (PO4), Nitrate (NO3), and Ammonia (NH3) ) 0.932 mg/L, it can be concluded that Lake Pampait can be said to be still not polluted and is still considered good for the life of fish and other aquatic organisms.

Abstract

      Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberadaan struktur komunitas ikan ditinjau dari segi keanekaragaman, keseragaman dan dominasi jenis ikan di Danau Palui. Sedangkan manfaat penelitian ini adalah untuk menambah pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang struktur komunitas ikan yang hidup di perairan tersebut. Dengan demikian hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan informasi dasar dalam penelitian, pemantauan dan pengelolaan lingkungan perairaan.Kegiatan penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan yaitu pada bulan September 2018 sampai dengan bulan Desember 2018 sedangkan lokasi penelitian  dilaksanakan di Danau Palui Kecamatan Dusun Selatan Kabupaten Barito Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pemasangan jarring insang (Gill net) dengan ukuran Mesh Size 1 inchi, 2 inchi dan 3 inchi. Serta pengambilan sampel ikan sebanyak 3 (tiga) kali dengan selang waktu sebulan sekali. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh 6 (enam) famili dan telah diidentifikasi sebanyak 10 (sepuluh) spesies dengan jumlah total individu 306 (tiga ratus enam) individu yaitu : famili Cyprinidae : Menangin (Thynichthys polylepis), Seluang (Rasbora jacopsoni), Banta (Osteochilus triporos), Puhing (Cycloheilichthys apogon), Kelabau (Osteochils melanoplenura), famili Siluriade : Lais junggang (Cyptopterus micronema), famili Bagridae : Baung (Macrones Nemurus), famili Belontidae : Sepat rawa (Trichogaster trichopterus), famili Pangasidae : Riu (Pangasius macronema) dan  famili Anabantidae : Betok (Anabas Testtudineus).Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa struktur komunitas ikan di perairan Danau Palui diperoleh indeks keanekaragaman (H’) berkisar antara (0,709 - 0,827) nilai ini menunjukan bahwa tingkat keanekaragaman di perairan Danau Palui tergolong rendah karena kurang dari 1. Indeks keseragaman (E) berkisar antara (0,866 - 0,911) ini menunjukan bahwa penyebaran jumlah per jenis hampir sama karena indeks keseragaman (E) mendekati 1. Sedangkan nilai indeks dominasi (D) berkisar antara (0,178 – 0,211) (mendekati 0), ini menunjukan bahwa diperairan Danau Palui tidak ada jenis ikan yang dominan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the water quality and structure of the fish community as well as the relationship between water quality and the structure of the fish community in Lake Hanjalutung. This research was conducted from September to November 2021 at Lake Hanjalutung, Palangka Raya City. The method used is direct observation or (survey) directly to Lake Hanjalutung. The results of the study obtained temperature values of 28.33oC- 29.40 oC, brightness 22.83cm- 24.50 cm, depth 0.42m- 1.17m, pH 5.67-6.07, DO 2.91 mg / l - 3.51mg / l, BOD 1.93mg / l-10.30mg / l, and COD 38.40mg / l-85.33 mg / l. The number of fish species caught in Lake Hanjalutung using gill nets is 816 individuals, 17 species, and 9 families. The results of the data analysis showed that the diversity index value ranged from 1.35-1.59 in the medium category, the uniformity index value ranged from 0.63-0.94 in the high category and the dominance index value ranged from 0.25-0.44 which means that no fish species dominated. Based on the results of the analysis using multiple linear regression, water quality parameters simultaneously have a relationship with the structure of fish communities, where the diversity index with values (sig. 0.016), the uniformity index with values (sig. 0.036) and the dominance index with values (sig. 0.038). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas air dan struktur komunitas ikan serta hubungan antara kulaitas air dengan struktur komunitas ikan di Danau Hanjalutung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September sampai Nopember 2021 di Danau Hanjalutung Kota Palangka Raya. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi langsung atau (survei) secara langsung ke Danau Hanjalutung. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai suhu 28,33oC- 29,40 oC, kecerahan 22,83cm- 24,50 cm, kedalaman 0,42m- 1,17m, pH 5,67-6,07, DO 2,91 mg/l - 3,51mg/l, BOD 1,93mg/l-10,30mg/l, dan COD 38,40mg/l-85,33 mg/l. Jumlah spesies ikan yang tertangkap di Danau Hanjalutung dengan menggunakan jaring insang sebanyak 816 individu, 17 spesies, dan 9 famili. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai indeks keanekaragaman berkisar 1,35-1,59 dalam kategori sedang, nilai indeks keseragaman berkisar 0,63-0,94 dalam kategori tinggi dan nilai indeks dominasi berkisar 0,25-0,44 yang berarti tidak ada spesies ikan yang mendominasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda bahwa parameter kualitas air secara simultan memiliki hubungan dengan struktur komunitas ikan, dimana indeks keanekaragaman dengan nilai (sig. 0,016), indeks keseragaman denagn nilai (sig. 0,036) dan indeks dominasi dengan nilai (sig. 0,038).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis tumbuhan air di Danau Hanjalutung dan struktur komunitas tumbuhan air. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama satu bulan mulai dari 8 Desember 2017 sampai dengan 7 Januari 2018. Alat yang digunakan untuk mengetahui struktur jenis tumbuhan air adalah dengan menggunakan transek berukuran 1x1 m2 kemudian dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus. Jenis tumbuhan air yang dapat ditemukan di perairan Danau Hanjalutung adalah kiambang (salvinia molesta), rumput ekor kucing (utricularia aurea), rumput para (Cyperus platystulis) dan gerigit (leersia hexandra). Nilai struktur komunitas keanekaragaman tersebut rendah karena nilai keanekaragaman mendekati nol. Nilai keseragaman tumbuhan di danau Hanjalutung termasuk relatif sama karena nilainya mendekati satu. Nilai dominan tumbuhan air termasuk kecil karena nilai dominasinya mendekati nol. Perbedaan struktur komunitas tumbuhan air dipengaruhi oleh kualitas airnya. Kualitas air memiliki peran dalam tanaman air dan organisme sekitarnya.
