Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian perbaikan pembelajaran dalam melalui Penelitian TindakanKelas. Penelitian dengan penerapan model Pembelajaran Berdasarkan Masalah.. Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep yang dilihat dari hasil belajar, dan berfikir kritis mahasiswa yangdilihat dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada matakuliah perkembangan hewan program studipendidikan biologi FKIP UNRI pada semeter genap tahun akademis 2008/2009 berjumlah 58 orang,terdiri dari 49 orang wanita dan 9 orang pria. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata kemampuankemampuan berfikir kritis dari penilaian lembar tugas 74.48% (baik) pada siklus I dan 77.08% (baik)pada siklusII. Nilai berfikir kritis tertinggi pada aspek mengumpulkan data dan terendah aspek menilaipemecahan masalah. Rata-rata kemampuan berfikir kritis dari penilaian aktivitas pelaksanaan diskusirata-rata 78.80 % (baik) pada siklus I dan rata-rata 82.29 (baik sekali) pada siklus II. Nilai aktivitastertinggi pada aspek kerjasamaa dan terendah aspek memberi argumentasi. Ketuntasan belajar mahasiswamengalami peningkatan dari 75 % pada siklus I dan 96.46 % pada siklus II. Dari hasil penelitian dapatdisimpulkan penerapan pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah pada mata kuliah perkembangan hewan dapatmeningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep.

Abstract

Abstract : This research has been to know understanding student of biology education on the curriculum 2013 faculty of teacher training and education university of Riau. This typenof research is a descriptive study. The sample was students of biology education faculty of teacher training and education university of Riau, sixth semester written 98 peoples. The understanding indikators of competency standards, content standards, process standards and assesment standards. Data collection techniques using a written test 60 question that carried out by collecting the sixth semester students in a room then researchers give time for 90 minutes to fill in the comprehension test. After completing the test comprehension, directly handed over to investigators. This data is used as research data for analysis and interpretation done. From the results obtained can be seen in the percentage of students understanding of competency standards obtained 65,8% with sufficient criteria. A standard indicator of the content of 68,9% was obtained with sufficient criteria. The standard indicators obtained 70,0% with good criteria and indicators of appraisal standards was obtained 73,4% with good criteria. It can be concluded that the understanding gained 69,5% with sufficient criteria.Keyword : Understanding, Student of Biology Education, Curriculum 2013

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is for the purpose of this study is to determine whether or not the relationship between motivation with student learning outcomes on biology learning in the class XI SMA Tri Bhakti Pekanbaru . This research was conducted from August to October 2016. The sample in this study were 39 students of class XI SMA Tri Bhakti Pekanbaru. The instruments of data collection used are closed questionnaire, student attitude observation sheet and product assessment sheet. Closed Questionnaire with 30 statements consisting of 9 indicators of desire and desire, encouragement and learning needs, future expectations and aspirations, interests, awards in learning, exciting activities in learning, a conducive learning environment, competition , And punishment. All closed questionnaire items are valid and reliable. Closed questionnaires of student learning motivation are tested by correct item total correlation method, where all statement items are declared valid. To test the reliability of questionnaire through Cronbach's alpha test obtained alpha of 0.917. This validity and reliability test is analyzed with SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Studies) version 17.00 for Windows. The collected data were analyzed descriptively. The relationship of motivation with student learning outcomes in the biology learning in the class XI SMA Tri Bhakti Pekanbaru obtained as follows: Motivation with students' cognitive learning results showed the correlation coefficient (rarithmetic) of 0.630 with strong category, motivation with student affective learning results show correlation coefficient (rarithmetic) Equal to 0,561 with medium category, and motivation with student psychomotor result show correlation coefficient (rarithmetic) equal to 0,373 with weak category. The relationship of motivation with students' learning outcomes was significantly positive with a significance level of 5% (0.325). Then any increase in score/value of motivation score will be followed by increase score / value of student learning outcomes.Keywords: Relationship, Motivation, Learning Result

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a descriptive study that aimed to determine the profile of the management of biological laboratories in supporting learning activities in Senior High School (SMA) Negeri Pekanbaru. This research carried out in SMA Negeri in July until November 2014. The population of this study is SMA Negeri Pekanbaru with samples SMA N 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, and 12 Pekanbaru. The technique used purposive sampling. Data retrieved by using the enclosed quistionnaire were distibuted to teachers of subjects biology class X, XI, and XII. The number of teacher who completed a questionnaire enclosed is as much as 3 people each school. Questionnaires were collected as many as 24, then performed  data processing based on indicators that have been determined. Direct observation is done at each school biology laboratory research sample. The observation was also made based on indicators that have been determined that; laboratory design, laboratory administration, laboratory management, and storage and lab materials. The result of the questionsnaire of indicators planning is 3,20 with good criteria, indicator arrangement is 3,32 with good criteria, administrating indicator is 3,16 with good criteria, the security indicator is 3,18 with good criteria, maintenance indicator is 3,52 with good criteria, and monitoring indicators is 2,68 with sufficient criteria. The result above show that the overall management of biological laboratories in SMA Negeri Pekanbaru already included in both criteria and has supported learning activities biology. Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to determine students' critical thinking skills improvement through the application of the model Problem Based Learning (PBL) in biology learning in class XI SMA PGRI Pekanbaru. This research was conducted in class XI SMA PGRI Pekanbaru MIA 3 TA second semester 2015/2016. When the study from April to May 2016. The subjects in this study were students of class XI MIA 3 FY 2015/2016 with 23 students. The instrument used in this study is the syllabus, lesson plans and Student Assignment Sheet. The data collection technique were taken from an assessment from of students’ critical thinking skills observation and students attitudes and achievement . The results obtained from this study is the percentage of critical thinking skills of students in the first cycle of 79.7% with prediket B and category Good, increased in the second cycle amounted to 93.1% with prediket A- and category of Very Good. Absorptive capacity in the first cycle to obtain a value of 85.08 prediket B + and Good category, increased in the second cycle of 87.8% with prediket B + and Good category. The completeness of students in the first cycle of 65.21 with prediket Both B- and categories, increased in the second cycle of 82.60 with prediket B + and Good category. While the attitudes of the students earned an average score on the first cycle of 89.1% with prediket B + and Good category, increased in the second cycle of 98.1% with prediket A and category of Very Good. It can be concluded that the adoption of problem based learning (PBL) can provide a positive impact on students' critical thinking skills in school SMA PGRI pekanbaru the academic year 2015/2016.Key Words : Problem based learning, critical thinking skills, Biology

Abstract

Abstract: Teachers as implementers in all schools are required to constantly improve its ability in mastering and convey the subject matter. This is intended so that student learning outcomes can be improved. One of the ways to improve student learning results is to use the cooperative learning model of NHT. Research is conducted to improve learning outcomes through the implementation of IPA model Cooperative Learning Type NHT On Grade VII A SMP Negeri 3 Bangko Years Lessons 2015/2016. This research was carried out in junior high the land Even Semester Bangko 3 Years Lessons 2015/2016 in February up to March 2016. This research is a research Action class (PTK) which consists of two cycles. The subject of research that is grade VII A of 24 people consisting of 14 male students and 10 female students. The data collected in this research is the result of student learning that consists of absorption, learning and recognition of the group as well as the student's activities and the activities of the teacher. Instruments data using tests and observation sheets. The results showed the results of students consisting of absorbance, ketuntasan learning, group learning activities, awards the student and teacher experience increased activity. Absorption cycle I is 75.33% (enough) and cycle II increased to 80.70% (good). Study on cycle I is 90.48% (category has been completed) and on cycle II increased to 100.00% (category has been completed). Group Award at the cycle I i.e. 1 group of award winning super group 3 and get great rewards. Just as in cycle II, i.e. 1 group was awarded the super and 3 groups awarded excellent. Student activity on the cycle I is 86.10% (good) and cycle II increased to 94% (excellent). The activity of the teacher in the cycle I is 91.18% (excellent) and cycle II increased to 100.00% (excellent). It can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model of application type NHT can improve learning outcomes IPA grade VII A SMP Negeri 3 Bangko Year 2015/2016 Lessons.Keywords: cooperative NHT, learning results, IPA2

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of  this research was to increase critical thinking skill on the subject digestion system grade VIII junior high school. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Biology Department of the University of Riau PMIPA FKIP and SMPN 23 Pekanbaru in March to September 2016. The research is a research development by using ADDIE model of integration to the stage of development. There are 5 LKS developed. Instruments of data collection in this study is the validation sheet LKS, and questionnaire responses of learners. After LKS developed, validated by 4 validator then the tests I in the 4th semester 20 students of biology education FKIP UR, and a second trial on 20 students of Class VIII SMPN 23 Pekanbaru. The tests showed the average score feasibility aspects of the content of 5 LKS developed very valid category is 4.21, the average score 4.34 categories designing aspect is very valid, and the mean score of the pedagogic aspect is 4.69 very valid category. The mean overall score of the fifth aspect is 4.41 LKS very valid category. I trial results showed the average score 4.21 with very good category. II trial results showed a mean score of 4.57 in very good categories. The results of the analysis of the answers to the second trial showed a mean value of 87 in good categories. LKS oriented discovery learning model can increase the understanding and knowledge about the digestion system and can increase critical thinking skill of student.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the perceptions of students about the activity of biology practical work in Senior High School (SMA) Negeri Pekanbaru. The research was conducted in SMA Negeri who implement biology practical work at Pekanbaru city lesson years 2013/2014 in January-June 2014. Kind of this research was descriptive research. Population were all students in SMA Negeri Pekanbaru. The technique used purposive sampling, was students school grade XI IPA who already implement biology practical work, amounted to 330 people from 13 school,were: SMAN1, SMA3, SMAN4, SMAN5, SMAN6, SMAN7, SMAN8, SMAN9, SMAN10, SMAN11, SMAN12, SMAN13, SMAN14 The technique data collecting used closed questionnaire for students school grade XI IPA and open questionnaire or interview for biology teachers school grade X and XI. The data of closed questionnaire analyzed by descriptive statistics and open questionnaire used for addition data for description the perceptions of students about the activity of biology practical work. The activity of practical work contains 4 indicator such as: design, implementation, evaluation, and advanced stage. The results showed that the perceptions of students about the activity of biology practical work with the details of each indicator, such as: design was good (2.81), implementation was good (2.79), evaluation was enough (2.45), and advanced stage was enough (2.42). The factors affecting determine the activity of biology practical work in Senior High School (SMA) Negeri Pekanbaru such as: implementation time, laboratory assistant, completeness equipment and material practical work, teacher’s ability and understanding, student’s quantity, student’s intelligence, and existence biology’s laboratory. Based on this, it can be conclution that the perceptions of students about the activity of biology practical work in Senior High School (SMA) Negeri Pekanbaru determine enough category with average score 2.62.Key words: descriptive research, the activity of biology practical work, students school grade XI IPA

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of learning science class VII SMPN 1 Sinaboi Satu Atap in the academic year 2015/2016 with the implementation of cooperative learning model Think Pair Share. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles were conducted in March and April 2016. The subject of this research was the seventh grade students in the academic year 2015/2016 with a total of 25 people consisting of 12 students and 13 female students. The parameters in this study were (1) learning oucomes student consisting of absorption, mastery learning and appreciation of the group, (2) student learning activities and (3) the activities of teachers. The result showed that the absorption of the value of daily tests on the first cycle is 71.6 and increased in the second cycle becomes 73.4. Mastery learning students in the first cycle as many as 14 (56%) of people had increased in the second cycle to 17 (68%). Then the student activity also increased from 88.64% in the first cycle to 98.83% in the second cycle. The activities of teachers in the learning process in the first cycle average is 89.28% with both categories and increased in the second cycle with the average 96.43% and included a very good category. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa daya serap dari nilai ulangan harian pada siklus I yaitu 71,6 dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 73,4. Ketuntasan belajar siswa pada siklus I yaitu sebanyak 14 (56%) orang mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 17 (68%). Kemudian aktifitas siswa juga meningkat dari 88,64 % pada siklus I menjadi 98,83% pada siklus II. Aktifitas guru dalam proses belajar mengajar pada rata siklus I adalah 89,28% dengan kategori baik dan meningkat pada siklus II dengan rata-ratanya 96,43% dan termasuk kategori amat baik. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to Produce Student Learning Sheet (LKPD) Based Discovery Learning Learning Model to Increase Critical Thinking Ability in Material of Class XI Coordination System of SMA. This research is conducted in Biology Education Laboratory of PMIPA Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Universitas Riau and SMAN Plus Riau Province. This research was conducted from March to June 2017. The research type used in this research is referring to Reseach and Development (R & D) approach using ADDIE model consist of five stages: analyze, design, development, implementation and evaluate. This research is only done until development stage. The instrument used is validation sheet and questionnaire of respondent. Further trial is limited to 12 students of Biology education and 24 students of class XI SMAN Plus Riau Province. Research data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. LKPD validation result based on Discovery Learning Learning model for coordination system material seen from 3 aspect that is content feasibility aspect, design aspect, and pedagogic aspect. The validity value of LKPD based on Discovery Learning Learning model on the design aspect that is with the score of 3.31 category is very valid, the pedagogic aspect validity value is 3.38 category is very valid, while the validity value on feasibility aspect of content with score of 3.25 category valid. Student responses on all aspects are categorized very well with a score of 3.58 and the response of learners on all aspects is categorized very well with a score of 3.38Keyword: Learner Worksheets, a model of Discovery Learning learning and critical thinking
