Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to identify the profile of a student's academic skills through guided inquiry-based lab work on the concept of the respiratory system in the 11th grade students of SMAN 3 Serang. The methodologhy of this research is descriptive.  The population of this research is students of  11th grade IPA SMAN 3 Serang of the school year 2014/2015 and the sample of the research is 11th grade IPA 7th which obtained by simple random sampling technique. Data was obtained using test description. The results of this research showed that the average value of academic skills 11th grade IPA 7th of SMAN 3 Serang by 77, 7 (good categories), which consists of four aspects: aspects of identifying variables and describing relationship among them (76.5), aspects of formulating hypotheses (75.5), aspects of designing the research (78.4) and aspects of conducting research (80.4) were included in good categories.Keywords: academic skills, guided inquiry-based lab work, respiratory system.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil kecakapan akademik siswa melalui praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada konsep sistem pernapasan manusia di kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Kota Serang. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 3 Kota Serang tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dan sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA 7 yang diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kecakapan akademik siswa kelas XI IPA 7 SMA Negeri 3 Kota Serang sebesar 77, 7 (kategori baik), yang terdiri dari empat aspek yaitu aspek mengidentifikasi variabel dan menghubungkan antara satu dengan yang lainnya (76,5), aspek merumuskan hipotesis (75,5), aspek merancang penelitian (78,4) dan aspek  melaksanakan penelitian (80,4) yang termasuk ke dalam kategori baik.Kata kunci: kecakapan akademik, praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing, sistem pernapasan

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan buku saku berdasarkan hasil eksplorasi jenis-jenis mangrove di Pulau Tunda Serang Banten untuk konsep keanekaragaman hayati danmengetahui kelayakan buku saku pada aspek materi dan media. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode (R&D) dengan model 3-D (define,design, dan develop), yang didukung oleh penelitian eksplorasi mangrove diPulau Tunda. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket. Data yang diperoleh dari angket dianalisis secara kualitatif dan catatan dari ahli dijadikan sebagai bahan perbaikan kelayakan buku saku. Hasil eksplorasi mangrove diperoleh 20 jenis mangrove terdiri dari 11 jenis mangrove sejati dan sembilan mangrove asosiasi. Hasil eksplorasi dijadikan salah satu konten dalam buku saku, selain manfaat, ancaman, dan usaha pelestarian ekosistem mangrove.Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-ratasebesar 90,85%, sehingga buku saku yang dikembangkan masuk ke dalam kategori sangat layakdigunakan pada konsep keanekaragaman hayati SMA kelas X kota Serang pada mata pelajaran biologi.

Abstract

Environmental problems have become a global issue. Understanding and interpreting environmental conditions to take appropriate actions to improve and to maintain the quality of the environment is known as environmental literacy. Environmental literacy values are essential to be included in textbooks since they can increase environmental awareness. This study aims to identify and analyze the content of environmental literacy aspects in biology textbooks for 10th-grade senior high school. This research was descriptive qualitative research with investigator triangulation technique for data validation. This research was conducted from December 2020 to June 2021. Based on the results showed that six aspects of environmental literacy were included in nine chapters (of the ten chapters) in the 10th-grade biology textbook, with the highest score of 36% (knowledge issues and environmental problems aspect) and the lowest score of 6% (cognitive skills aspect). Further, based on the results of expert validation, it got an average value of 98%, in the very appropriate category. The research results can be used as a reference for developing learning tools that are oriented towards increasing students' environmental awareness.

Abstract

Pengembangan pembelajaran berbasis potensi lokal diperlukan untuk penerapan prinsip diversifikasi pembelajaran sesuai dengan potensi daerah. Potensi lokal yang dimaksud berupa sumber daya alam, manusia, maupun ekonomi. Kelimpahan dan pemanfaatan melinjo (Gnetum gnemon) di Banten merupakan sumber daya flora yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai konten pembelajaran berbasis potensi lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa buklet pemanfaatan melinjo di Banten untuk menunjang pembelajaran berbasis potensi lokal. Research and development (R&D) digunakan sebagai metode dalam peneliitian ini, dengan tahapan analisis potensi dan masalah; pengumpulan data; desain produk; validasi ahli; dan revisi produk. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian uji ahli, diperoleh nilai sebesar 87,1% untuk aspek materi dan 92,5% untuk aspek media. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan produk yang dikembangkan yaitu buklet pemanfaatan melinjo di Banten sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis potensi lokal.

Abstract

Rawa Danau Nature Reserve is a conservation area that protects various remaining flora and fauna on Java island, including birds. However, at present, Rawa Danau Nature Reserve 's existence is threatened due to changes in the structure and habitat function by the activities of the surrounding community. Therefore, it is necessary to have a solution in the form of efforts to preserve and preserve the diversity of species and their ecosystems. One form of this program is conservation education. Conservation education is a form of effort to protect biodiversity and natural resources by increasing knowledge, skills, participation, attitudes, and awareness of the importance of natural resources to sustain life. Information media is needed to facilitate the achievement of conservation education goals, one of which is the development of a birdwatching field guidebook. This study aimed to develop a birdwatching field guidebook as a medium for conservation education in the Rawa Danau Nature Reserve area The development method was used to create the field manual. The developed guidebook contains information on bird diversity, bird conservation, observation techniques, and bird observation locations, as well as bird identification sheets accompanied by bird distribution patterns in the form of descriptions and illustrative pictures or photographs of research results. The book was also developed to meet the principles of environmental education, namely to develop awareness, knowledge, attitudes, skills, and participation in protecting the environment.

Abstract

Bivalvia is an invertebrate animal that has a high level of diversity and a marine biological resource that has significant economic value. This research was conducted in November 2021, aiming to determine bivalve diversity, mapping of manrove land and the potential for bivalve diversity, the relationship between the results of analysis of the presence of water on bivalves diversity in the Pulau Dua Nature Reserve and the implications of research results in the field of education. The method used is the roaming method to determine bivalves diversity and remote sensing methods to map areas of potential bivalve diversity in Pulau Dua Nature Reserve. The results of observations found that the diversity of bivalves in Pulau Dua Nature Reserve was included in the medium diversity category with a value of 1.085. The results of the relationship between bivalve diversity and MNDWI are classified as having a strong relationship, namely the correlation coefficient (r) is 0.668. In the Pulau Dua Nature Reserve, it was found that areas with a high potential for bivalve diversity were found at coordinates 106.198956 6.018374. The results of this research were then carried out to analyze the material at KD 3.10 and KD 4.10 for class X SMA at school.

Abstract

The establishment of Taman Kehati Asri by PT Chandra Asri is a form of protection of biodiversity to improve the quality of biodiversity, including fauna. The existence of fauna is very important in ecosystem activities because fauna is a consumer in the food pyramid. If a population decreases, it will have a negative impact on the continuity of food webs and hinder the flow of energy cycle. This study aimed to identify the diversity of fauna in the Taman Kehati Asri area of PT. Chandra Asri Petrochemical, in Gunung Sugih Village, Ciwandan District, Cilegon City, Banten. The research was conducted in October 2022. The methods used were point count and cruise method. Based on the research results, it was found that there were 37 species of fauna belonging to 4 classes, namely birds, mammals, herpetofauna and insects. The result of total species diversity index was 2.98 which was categorized as in the medium category. Furthermore, the fauna dominance index was 0.075 which indicated that one or several species of fauna were not dominated in that area.
