Abstract

The aim of the study is to develop a biology practicum guide on the concept of the digestive system to develop students' critical thinking skills, to determine eligibility, and to determine student responses to the biology practicum guide. The research method is the research and development (R&D) method by using the Sugiyono model. The research was conducted in October 2021 at SMAN 2 Serang City. The population in the study was 10 students from class XI SMAN 2 at Serang City High School, school year 2021/2022. Data retrieval and collection techniques are carried out by spreading questionnaires and interviews, while data analysis techniques using guttman scales and likert scales are used to test the feasibility of the biology practical guides that have been created. The validity assessment from the material expert for the Biology Practicum Guide received a score of 85% and the score from the media expert got a score of 86%. Both values are very feasible in the category. The result of the students' response test was a 98.6% score, which was very feasible in the category. Thus, it can be concluded that the Biology Practicum Guide on the concept of the digestive system was very feasible to use to develop critical thinking skills in students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar e-modul biologi menggunakan aplikasi 3D pageflip professional pada materi sel. Untuk melihat respon guru dan peserta didik terhadap bahan ajar e-modul dengan menggunakan aplikasi 3D pageflip professional pada materi sel.Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan mengacu pada model pengembangan 4D dari Thiagarajan, namun pada penelitian ini hanya dilakukan sampai tahap 3D yang meliputi (1) Define, (2) Design, dan (3) Develop. Subjek penelitian ini meliputi 1 dosen ahli media, 1 dosen ahli materi, 1 guru mata pelajaran biologi, dan siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 4 Pandeglang. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk menilai kelayakan e-modul ini meliputi lembar penilaian kelayakan oleh ahli media, lembar penilaian kelayakan oleh ahli materi, angket respon guru dan angket respon siswa terhadap penggunaan e-modul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) modul yang dikembangkan adalah E-modul Biologi Sebagai Bahan Ajar Pada Materi Sel, (2) e-modul dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dengan perolehan presentase skor 74% dari ahli materi, 80% dari ahli media, 91% dari guru mata pelajaran biologi dan 83,5% dari respon siswa sebagai pengguna e-modul, sehingga e-modul yang dikembangkan termasuk ke dalam kategori layak.

Abstract

Daerah Lebak, Pandeglang dan Rangkasbitung di Provinsi Banten merupakan penghasil madu hutan dari hutan di sekitarnya. Selain madu hutan, daerah tersebut juga memiliki madu hasil peternakan. Kebanyakan produktifitas penjualan madu tersebut masih rendah, seperti yang teridentifikasi pada peternakan lebah Nabila Natural. Kegiatan pengabdian ini merupakan satu upaya mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi produsen madu tersebut melalui sentuhan teknologi dan dukungan riset akademisi untuk membantu peternakan ini menjadi usaha produktif dan andal sebagai produk unggulan. Langkah-langkah yang ditempuh adalah 1. Penawaran ide kemasan produk dan mendapatkan prototipe produk Madu Alami modern keluaran Nabila, 2. Pendaftaran lisensi agar bisa dijual bebas dengan mempersiapkan rumah produksi, 3. Membuka sistem agen pemasaran atau toko online yang baik. Agensi tersebut akan dibuka untuk penawaran pemasaran lokal di Kota Cilegon dan Serang. Dengan langkah-langkah ini produsen madu dapat peningkatan kualitas dan pemasaran produk-produk peternakan lebah ini. Produktifitas peternakan lebah ini juga akan terus dikembangkan pada masa yang akan datang dengan produk turunannya melalui skema kerjasama dengan peneliti lebah.

Abstract

Abstrak Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangakan dan mengetahui kelayakan instrumen asesmen critical thinking skill pada materi sistem ekskresi. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan pemodelan Dick and Carey dengan 7 tahapan, yaitu: (1) identifikasi tujuan, (2) analisis instruksional, (3) analisis siswa dan lingkungan, (4) menuliskan tujuan khusus pembelajaran, (5) pengembangan instrumen penilaian, (6) melaksanakan evaluasi formatif, dan (7) revisi. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan wawancara, studi dokumentasi, angket penilaian kelayakan, dan uji coba skala kecil. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa asesmen critical thinking skill pada materi sistem ekskresi ini memenuhi kriteria kelayakan karena memperoleh penilaian oleh validator dan guru biologi sebesar 87,1% (Sangat Layak) dan analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan software ANATES terdiri dari, (1) Validitas, soal pilihan ganda valid berjumlah 13 (65%), dan tidak valid 7 butir (35%), sedangkan pada soal uraian valid berjumlah 7 butir (70%) dan tidak vailid 3 butir (30%), (2) Reliabilitas soal pilihan ganda sebesar 0,84 dan soal uraian sebesar 0,86, (3) Tingkat Kesukaran, soal pilihan ganda yang tergolong sukar berjumlah 4 butir (20%), sedang 12 butir (60%), dan mudah 4 butir (20%), sedangkan soal uraian seluruh butir soal sebanyak 10 (100%) tergolong sedang, (4) Daya Pembeda, soal pilihan ganda sangat baik 17 butir (85%) dan kurang baik 3 butir (15%), sedangkan pada uraian sangat baik 6 butir (60%) dan kurang baik 4 butir (40%), (5) Efektivitas Pengecoh, Butir soal dengan Efektivitas Pengecoh sangat baik 12 butir (15%), baik 11 butir (14%), kurang baik 2 butir (2,5%), jelek 45 butir (56%), dan sangat jelek 10 butir (12,5%). Abstract This study aimed to develop and determine the feasibility of assessment instrument critical thinking skills on excretory system material. This development research used Dick and Carey model. The technique for collecting the data by using interviews, documentation studies, multiple-choice and essay questions, feasibility assessment questionnaires, and small-scale trials. The results of assessment critical thinking skills on excretory system material was fulfilled criteria of feasibility, because the average results of the validation is 87,1% (very feasible) and quantitative analysis by ANATES is, (1) Validity, valid multiple-choice questions are 13 items (65%) and 7 items are invalid (35%), valid essay questions are 7 item (70%) and invalid 3 item (30%), (2) Reliability, multiple choice questions have a reliability coefficient of 0,84 and the essay questions is 0,86, (3) Difficulty level, multiple choice questions that are classified as difficult amounted to 4 items (20%), moderate were 12 items (60%), and easy 4 items (20%) and for essay questions the total number of questions is 10 (100%) was moderate, (4) Item discrimination multiple-choice questions, items with very good are 17 items (85%) and poorly 3 items (15%), and for essay question items with very good are 6 items (60%) and poorly 4 items (40%), (5) Distracter Effectiveness, items with very good are 12 items (15%), the good ones are 11 items (14%), the poorly ones are 2 items (2,5%), the bad ones are 45 items (56%), and the very bad ones are 10 items (12,5%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara nilai Adversity Quotient (AQ) terhadap hasil belajar biologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif korelasional. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 13 Kabupten Tangerang kelas XI MIPA 1 dan XI MIPA 3 semester genap tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu Adversity Reponse Profile (ARP), dan nilai Penilaian Akhir Tahun (PAT) biologi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji koefisien korelasi, koefisien determinasi, dan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai Adversity Quotient (AQ) peserta didik berada pada kategori tinggi dengan persentase sebesar 94,11% dan hasil belajar biologi dengan kategori baik yaitu 35,29%. Nilai pearson korelasi yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar 0,640. Korelasi tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tingkat hubungan antara nilai Adversity Quotient (AQ) terhadap hasil belajar biologi berada pada kategori kuat. Kesimpulan yang didapat yaitu terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara nilai Adversity Quotient (AQ) terhadap hasil belajar biologi.

Abstract

Higher order thinking skills are needed in 21st century learning. This study aims to determine the profile of higher order thinking skills at the level of creating biology subjects for high school students in Banten Province and a comparison of students' creative abilities in each district/city in Banten Province. The research method used was a phenomenological approach and school sampling with random sampling technique was used in 8 cities or districts of Banten Province in March-October 2020. Data were collected using a questionnaire technique. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses the Miles & Huberman model. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the higher-order thinking ability of students at the creative level in Banten Province was 6.8 which was included in the very poor category. The learning process that has not taken the HOTS approach and is not used to providing students with high-level thinking questions makes students find it difficult to solve the problems they face.

Abstract

Banten is one of the provinces in Indonesia with the quality of education that has not been said to be good. One of the causes of the low quality of education is the low thinking ability of students. This research aimed to determine the HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) ability analytical skill of biology material for SMA/MA students in Banten Province by used description question. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The sampling technique used in this study was random sampling. The sample used was 320 students in Banten Province. The instrument used was a description of the analytical skills, interview sheets and questionnaire sheets. The research was conducted from March to November 2020. Based on the results of the research, the average analytical ability of students in Banten Province was in the less category with a score of 22,19.

Abstract

One of the human needs is communication; communication is an activity of exchanging information verbally and non-verbally with one another to change behavior (Yanti, 2019). Learning media needed that can be used as a communication tool or intermediary that the sender will convey with the aim that the recipient can more easily receive the information conveyed (Megawati, 2017). One of the learning media used in the learning process is a poster. Poster learning media is said to be good if it includes legibility, visibility, readability, and composition (Pauwels, 2015). In biology learning, poster media is often used. One of the biological materials that use poster media is plant tissue material. Plant tissue materials study plant tissue facts from various cutting techniques and are poured into images so that studying these materials relies on pictures of plant tissue incisions (Pratama et al., 2022). The results of this study have better changes and have a role in changing the verbal and non-verbal communication of students. This poster model is effective for use on plant tissue materials, where the pictures on the poster can make it easier to understand the material. At least it consists of research objectives, methods, results and interpretations, conclusions.

Abstract

Bivalvia is an invertebrate animal that has a high level of diversity and a marine biological resource that has significant economic value. This research was conducted in November 2021, aiming to determine bivalve diversity, mapping of manrove land and the potential for bivalve diversity, the relationship between the results of analysis of the presence of water on bivalves diversity in the Pulau Dua Nature Reserve and the implications of research results in the field of education. The method used is the roaming method to determine bivalves diversity and remote sensing methods to map areas of potential bivalve diversity in Pulau Dua Nature Reserve. The results of observations found that the diversity of bivalves in Pulau Dua Nature Reserve was included in the medium diversity category with a value of 1.085. The results of the relationship between bivalve diversity and MNDWI are classified as having a strong relationship, namely the correlation coefficient (r) is 0.668. In the Pulau Dua Nature Reserve, it was found that areas with a high potential for bivalve diversity were found at coordinates 106.198956 6.018374. The results of this research were then carried out to analyze the material at KD 3.10 and KD 4.10 for class X SMA at school.
