Abstract

Based on the results of interviews conducted with several schools in Serang City, the use of instructional media commonly used by teachers tends to be less attractive and less varied. Learning media that are less attractive can be overcome by developing articulate storyline learning media and can foster the creative thinking skills of junior high school students. This development research aims to determine the efficiency level of inquiry learning-based articulate storyline learning media on water pollution in cultivating creative thinking skills for seventh grade junior high school students. The research method used in this research is Research and Development, in accordance with the needs of researchers by being limited to the dissemination stage until limited trials of the product being developed. This study used instruments in the form of validation questionnaire sheets and also student response questionnaires to determine the efficiency level of articulate storyline learning media. Data analysis used is qualitative data and quantitative data. The results of this study indicate that the level of efficiency in developing inquiry learning-based articulate storyline learning media on water pollution material is assessed by validating material experts to get a percentage of 84% and is included in the very valid category, media expert validation gets a percentage value of 79% and is included in the valid category, and practitioner expert validation gets a percentage of 83% and is included in the very valid category. As well as the results of student responses also show a percentage value of 91.75% and are included in the very good category, so the use of articulate storyline learning media based on inquiry learning on water pollution material is very efficient and practical for use by students in the learning process.

Abstract

The students in the 8th grade at the 2nd Ciruas State High School still have low science education learning outcomes, marked by learning that is still centered on the teacher. The aim of this study is to find out how the learning model Talking Stick with mystery box can influence students’ learning outcomes on the theme of Sonar Systems in Animals. This type of research uses experimental quatches with a non-equivalent control group design. The Talking Stick cooperative learning model was carried out in the experimental class, while the live learning model was used in the control class. Pretest-posttest tests are used to measure cognitive abilities, while non-tests are used for measuring emotional and psychomotor abilities (observed paper). The conclusion of the research has been obtained: the influence of the learning model taught with the type of talking stick-assisted media mystery box on student learning results on the theme of sonar students in animals This is demonstrated by the acquisition of average values from both classes during the test. On the cognitive aspect, a score of 54.9 was obtained for the control class and an average of 72.3 for the experimental class. On the psychomotor aspect, we obtained a score of 77.8 in the control class and 88.2 in the experimental class. In addition, on the affective aspect, he obtained a score of 75.9 in the control class and 84.1 in the experimental class. The data showed that achievements in each cognitive, psychomotor, and affective aspect obtained the highest score in the experimental class.

Abstract

The background of this research was the lack of practicum activities carried out and the lack of use of project-based learning models that make students feel difficulty understanding material on the theme of food around me and still lack the ability to process science in grade VIII students. This study aimsed to analyze the influence of the food-themed project based learning (PjBL) learning model. Data collection used a quasi-experimental design method, with a nonequivalent control group type. In this design, there were pre-test and post-test for the experimental and control classes. The research instruments applied were test sheets, observations, interviews and validation. The project-based learning model was developed through stages including presenting basic questions, (2) making project plans, (3) scheduling activities, (4) checking students' progress in working on their projects (monitoring), (5) reviewing test results, and (6) evaluation. The results of the study show that the project based learning (PjBL) learning model has an influence on the ability of science processes as indicated by a significance value of 0.002 <0.05 which indicates H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.

Abstract

Kegiatan pembelajaran untuk melatih kemampuan literasi sains siswa dapat dilatih dengan mengembangkan bahan ajar. Pada penelitian ini bahan ajar yang dikembangkan berupa E-Modul untuk melatih kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas VII. Pengembangan E-Modul ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi Microsoft Word dan Flip PDF Profesional sebagai bahan ajar digital. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menjabarkan tingkat kevalidan E-Modul berbasis Flip PDF Profesional tema pencemaran lingkungan untu melatih kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas VII. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian dan pengembangan 4D oleh Thiagarajan (1974) melalui modifikasi sampai tahapan Develop (pengembangan) produk, dengan uji validasi produk. Uji validasi bahan ajar E-Modul menggunakan instrument lembar angket validasi yang telah di validasi oleh ahli instrument, dan juga produk pengembangan E-Modul divalidasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media dan praktisi. Tingkat kevalidan E-Modul berbasis Flip PDF Profesional tema pencemaran lingkungan ini mendapatkan nilai menurut ahli materi 92,6% dengan kategori “sangat valid”, ahli media mendapatkan nilai persentase sebesar 90% dengan kategori “sangat valid”, dan praktisi mendapatkan nilai persentase sebesar 91% dengan kategori “sangat valid”. Dengan total keseluruhan 91,2% kategori “sangat valid”.

Abstract

Dalam kurikulum 2013 kemampuan untuk berpikir kreatif penting sehingga perlu dimiliki oleh setiap siswa. Akan tetapi proses pembelajaran IPA untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif di SMP belum dilaksanakan secara optimal. Oleh karena itu, siswa harus difasilitasi dengan alat penunjang seperti media pembelajaran e-majisains. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui tingkat validasi dari media pembelajaran e-majisains yang sudah dibuat. Metode pada penelitian ini yaitu Research and Development (R&D) dengan adaptasi berdasarkan model 4-D. Pada model ini terdiri atas 4 tahapan yaitu define, design, develop, disseminate. Tetapi, penelitian ini dibatasi hanya sampai pada tahap develop khususnya pada tingkat validasi ahli. Untuk mengukur tingkat kevalidan produk digunakan lembar angket validasi ahli yang dinilai oleh masing-masing dua orang ahli materi, media dan praktisi. Hasil keseluruhan pada penelitian memperolah nilai 84,41% dengan kategori sangat valid. Berdasarkan rekapitulasi validasi yang telah diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan e-majisains pada pembelajaran IPA tema pengelolaan si hijau dapat menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana tingkat kevalidan dari media komik digital berbasis discovery learning pada tema “bertamasya ke tata surya” untuk menumbuhkan motivasi belajar siswa SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan berupa RD dengan model 4-D Thiagarajan dan hanya terbatas sampai tahapan development. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar angket validasi untuk ahli materi, media, dan praktisi. Analisis data menggunakan penelitian yang bersifat kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Produk yang dibuat berupa media komik digital berbasis discovery learning dengan tingkat kevalidan sebesar 98.74% yang termasuk ke dalam kategori “sangat valid” sehingga dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran dan juga mampu membantu menumbuhkan motivasi belajar siswa SMP.

Abstract

Development of Student Worksheets (LKS) based on guided inquiry models on the theme of the dangers of polluted water to foster students' creative thinking begins with a problem during interview with a science teacher that textbooks alone are not capable of helping students grow creative thinking, students still lack a role in learning process. This development is a worksheet which contains the steps of the learning quided inquiry model contained in the content section of the worksheet which contains problem formulation, making hypotheses, designing experiments with work steps, conducting experiments to obtain data and making conclusions so that it can help foster students' creative thinking abilities. This research is a research and development (Research & Development) using four-D (4-D) research model and a modified Thiagarajan research design because the dissiminate stage was not carried out. The results showed that the development of guided inquiry-based student worksheets on the theme of the dangers of polluted water to foster students' creative thinking was carried out through 3 stages, namely the defining stage (Define), the design stage (Design), and the development stage (Develop). The level of validity successively scores 80% with valid criteria based on the validation of material and media experts and 85% with very valid criteria and teacher's assessment gets a score of 92% with very valid criteria. Based on the results of the overall validity test, an average value of 85.6% is obtained with very valid criteria.
