Abstract

Mentha spicata L. or commonly known as spearmint is an herbaceous plant that has many benefits in this pandemic period, but land limitations that become a production problem can be overcome with the use of hydroponics wick system. This study aims to get the best combination treatment of AB Mix nutrients and planting media to the production of mint plant stems (Mentha spicata L.) in hydroponic wick systems. The research was conducted at the screen house of SMKN Pertanian Karawang, East Karawang Subdistrict, Karawang Regency in June to July 2021. The research method used is an experimental method with a randomized design group (RAK) of single factors consisting of 12 treatments with 3 repeats. The data is analyzed with a variety analysis and if the 5% F test shows a real different result, then continued with the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) test at the level of 5%. Paramater observed included plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), wet weight of plants (grams), and plant growth rate (cm/week). The results showed that there was a noticeable influence on the observation parameters of plant height aged 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 MST, the number of leaves aged 5 and 6 MST, wet weight of plants, wet weight of plants without roots and plant growth rate.

Abstract

The use of gold snail organic nutrients as plant nutrition, has the potential as an alternative fertilizers to replace AB Mix and can be increase the production of red lettuce in a floating raft hydroponic system. This study can be to determine the effect of giving organic nutrition doses of golden snails that are able to provide agronomic characters and production of Mera lettuce (Lactuca sativa L. var Crispa) Red Rapid F1 variety on a floating raft hydroponic system. The experiment was conducted at a hydroponic experimental garden screen house located at Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor, Sumedang Regency from March to June 2021. The study used a randomized block design, consisting of 6 treatments, repeated 4 times, namely P0 (AB MIX 3 EC), P1 ( Nutrients of golden snail 30 ml/l of water), P2 (Nutrition of golden snails 30 ml/l of water + AB Mix 3 EC), P3 (Nutrition of golden snails 30 ml/l of water + AB Mix 1.5 EC), P4 (Nutrition of golden snails 15 ml/l water + AB Mix 3 EC), P5 ( Nurisi snails mas 15 ml/l water + AB Mix 1.5 EC). Data analysis using analysis of variance and further test LSD ( Least Significant Different) 5% level. The experimental results showed that the treatments of organic nutrition doses of golden snails gave significantly different effects on the average plant height of 7, 14, 21, 28 and 35 days after planting, the average stem diameter was 14, 21, 28 and 35 days after planting, the average area leaves per plant and the average fresh weight per plant, but not significantly different from the average number of leaves 7,14, 21, 28 and 35 DAP. Treatment P4 (Nutrition of golden snail 15 ml/l water + AB Mix 3 EC) gave the highest average fresh weight per red lettuce plant (5,98 g).

Abstract

One methods that can be used for cultivate baby kailan on limited land is the planting technique of floating rafts hydroponic system. The experiment was conducted in a screen house, Cianting district, Purwakarta Regency from July to August 2021. The research method was used experimental method with Randomized Block Desain (RBD) Factorial cconsisting of 9 treatments 3 replications. The first factor was aerator ativation time consisting of 3 levels, namely a1 (24 hours), a2 (12 hours with interval “on/off” 30 minutes ), and a3 (without aeration). The second factor is the EC of 3 levels, namely e1 (e1 (1,5 – 2,0 mScm-1), e2 (2,0 – 2,5 mScm-1), and e3 (2,5 – 3,0 mScm-1). The effect of threatment in the analysis with variety analysis and if the F test level is 5% significant, then to know the best treatment continued with dmrt test (Duncan Multiple Range Test) at the level of 5%. The result showed that there was no interaction between the aerator and EC value difference on each parameter baby kailan. Threatment of aerator activation time 24 hours can produe the highest average fresh weight 30,08 gram. Threatment EC value 1,5 – 2,0 mScm-1 gives average of highest fresh weight baby kailan 25,51 gram.

Abstract

Kailan cultivars of kale f1 or new veg gin have heat tolerance and strong lateral branches as well as resistance to root rot disease. Increased crop production can be done by applying the right organic and inorganic fertilizers. In this study, a combination of addition of organic and inorganic fertilizers was used to increase the production of baby kailan (Brassica oleraceae var. acephala l.). The purpose of this study was to obtain a combination of leri water nutrients and compound Npk fertilizer on the growth and yield of baby kailan (Brassica oleraceae var. Acephala L.) Kale F1 cultivar.The experiment was carried out in Kembang Kuning Village, Kec. Jatiluhur Kab. Purwakarta, West Java. implementation of the experiment in June to August 2021. The experimental method that will be used is the experimental method using a single factor Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 3 replications. There were 10 treatment combinations, namely A (Nutrition of Leri Water 0 ml/lt + 150 kg/ha NPK Pearl), B (Nutrition of Leri Water 10 ml/lt + 150 kg/ha NPK Pearl), C (Nutrition of Leri Water 20 ml/ lt + 150 kg/ha NPK Pearl), D (Nutrition Water Leri 30 ml/lt + 150 kg/ha NPK Pearl), E (Nutrition Water Leri 40 ml/lt + 150 kg/ha NPK Pearl), F (Nutrition Water Leri 0 ml/lt + 300 kg/ha NPK Pearl), G (Nutrition Water Leri 10 ml/lt + 300 kg/ha NPK Pearl), H (Nutrition Water Leri 20 ml/lt + 300 kg/ha NPK Pearl), I (Nutrition of Leri Water 30 ml/lt + 300 kg/ha NPK Pearl) and J (Nutrition of Leri Water 40 ml/lt + 300 kg/ha NPK Pearl). If the analysis data with variance and F test at 5% level showed significant results, then Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) was conducted at 5% level to determine the highest treatment.The results showed that there was no significant effect of the combination of organic nutrients in leri water and NPK Mutiara on all observation parameters. However, there was treatment G (Nutrient of Water Leri10 ml/lt + 300 kg/ha NPK Pearl) which gave the highest results for each parameter of observation. The results showed that there was no significant effect of the combination of organic nutrients in leri water and pearl Npk on all observed parameters. However, there was treatment G (Leri Water Nutrient 10 ml/lt + 300 kg/ha NPK Pearl) which gave the highest yield for each parameter of observation. Treatment G (Nutrition of water leri 10ml/lt + 300 kg/ha NPK Pearl) gave the highest average yield on plant height (13.36 cm), average number of leaves (7.37 pieces), average stem diameter ( 4.06 mm), average leaf area (84.83), average root length (9.71 cm), average plant fresh weight (37.78 g) and average fresh weight per plot ( 9.71 g).

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Tissue Culture, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Winaya Mukti Jln Raya Bandung – Sumedang No. 29, Gunungmanik Tanjungsari District, Sumedang Regency, West Java Province. The time of this research was started from September 2020 to November 2020. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best response to the administration of various concentrations of BAP + Ambon banana extract on the orchid plant Dendrobium nindii X Dendrobium Jaya Srani. The method used is an experimental method with an environmental design, namely a 2 factor factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 replications. The first factor is BAP with 4 levels (0 ppm; 1 ppm; 2 ppm; 3 ppm). The second factor is the Ambon banana extract with 4 levels (0% ; 5% ; 10% ; 15%). Data were analyzed using the F test at 5% level on all observed variables, if the data produced between treatments were significantly different, to find out the highest growth and yield, further tests were carried out with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) further test data analysis at 5% level. . The results obtained in this study indicate that there is a growth response on the parameters of the number of shoots, number of leaves and number of roots on the protocorm of Dendrobium nindii X Dendrobium Jaya Srani orchids with various concentrations of BAP and Ambon banana extract. The best treatment was found at a concentration of 1 ppm BAP and 5% Ambon banana extract which gave optimal results on the number of leaves with an average of 6.25 leaves, the number of shoots with an average of 5.37 shoo

Abstract

Emasculation is removing male sex (stament) from the female parental to avoid self pollinated. The purpose of this research to determine the effect of differences time emasculation to success crosses of black rice x white rice and agronomic character of the crosses parental.This research was conducted at IP2TP Muara, Bogor. The method used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with combination factors, the emasculation time factor consist of 2 levels and crosses factor consist of 8 levels, and Randomized Block Design (RBD) with single factor, parental varieties factor (T) consist of 6 levels, repeated 3 time, there are 48 and 18 experimental units with single cross method. Analysis data result used ANOVA test and further testing with DMRT 5% levels. The result of research showed that the diffences time emasculation which combinated with crossing set had significant effect to crosses success percentage. Differences parental varieties of crosses had a significant effect to plant height, flowering age, physiological mature age, fill grain, empty grain, and 1000 grain weight, but not significant to numbers of tillers. The best result is e₁s₅ treatment (Setail/Sintanur emasculation time 08:00-10:00 am).

Abstract

The experiment was carried out at the Screen House, Faculty of Agriculture, Singaperbangsa University, Karawang, which is located in Pasir Jengkol Village, Majalaya District, Karawang Regency, West Java. The design used was an experimental one-factor Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 3 replications. There were 10 treatments, namely A (Control), B (Atonik 1 ml/L water), C (Atonik 1.5 ml/L water), D (Atonik 2 ml/L water), E (Onion Extract 10 ml/L water ), F (OnionExtract 15 ml/L water), G (Onion Extract 20 ml/L water), H (Bean sprout Extract 10 ml/L water), I (Bean sprout Extract 15 ml/L water), J ( Sprout Extract 20 ml/L water). In testing the effectiveness of the type and concentration of ZPT on the success of grape stem cuttings (Vitis vinifera L.) Jestro Ag5 variety did not have a significant effect on the time of shoot emergence, number of shoots, number of leaves and root length. However, it has a significant effect on shoot length, root weight and root volume. Treatment C tended to give the best results on the observation parameters of the number of shoots 7 mst and 8 mst of 28.27 cm and 32.06 cm, respectively. Meanwhile, on the parameters of root weight and root length, treatment B gave the best effect of 22.27 g and 14.17 ml, respectively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan takaran jenis pupuk organik dan pengapuran yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil tertinggi tanaman koro pedang (Canavalia Ensiformis L. (DC) ) di lahan marginal terdegradasi. Percobaan dilaksanakan di Desa Kutanegara Kecamatan Ciampel Kabupaten Karawang. Tempat percobaan berada pada ketinggian 27 meter di atas permukaan laut dengan jenis tanah ultisol. Percobaan dilaksanakan selama 5 bulan mulai dari bulan Februari sampai bulan Juli 2010.Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal, yang terdiri dari 9 perlakuan dalam 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari : A (Kontrol); B (kompos jerami padi 5 t ha-1); C (kompos jerami padi 7,5 t ha-1); D (kompos jerami padi 10 t ha-1); E (kapur pertanian 1 t ha-1); F (kapur pertanian 2 t ha-1); G (pupuk kandang domba 5 t ha-1); H (pupuk kandang domba 7,5 t ha-1); I (pupuk kandang domba 10 t ha-1).Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian pupuk kandang domba dengan takaran 10 t ha-1 memberikan hasil tertinggi terhadap semua komponen pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman koro pedang di lahan marginal terdegradasi dengan hasil maksimal 8,04 t ha-1 Kata Kunci : jenis pupuk organik, lahan marginal terdegradasi, koro pedang.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to assess the growth and yield of cauliflower cultivar Orient F1 Caused by Type of Mulch and Dose Bokashi, and to find the optimal dose of bokashi on each type of mulch that can deliver maximum results. The experiments were conducted in the Telagadesa (KIIC) Sirnabaya village, District East Telukjambe  of Karawang regency with a height of approximately 50 m above sea level. The experiment was conducted at the March to May 2014.Experimental method used was Split Plot Design with twelve treatments repeated three times. As the main plot was mulch type (M) consisted of three levels, no mulch (m0), straw mulch (m1), plastic black silver mulch (m2). While as the subplot was a dosage bokashi (B) consisted of four levels, 0 t ha-1 bokashi (b0), 5 t ha-1 bokashi (b1), 10 t ha-1 bokashi(b2), and 15 t ha-1 bokashi (b3).The results showed that there was an interaction the mulch type and dose of bokashi on plant height 14, 21, 28, 35 days after planting, leaf number 14, 21, 28, 35 days after planting, the diameter of the rod 21, 28, 35 days after planting, curd diameter, gross weight curd per plant, net weight curd per plant, gross weight curd per plot, and  net weight curd per plot cauliflower plants Orient F1 cultivar. The highest results achieved by straw mulch with optimum dose 10,4 t ha-1 bokashi give maximum yield of 14,4 t ha-1 cauliflower.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the interaction between aeration and vermicompost on the growth and yield of baby kailan (Brassica oleracea L var. aceplaha) New Veg-Gin varieties on hydroponics of wick system. Experiment was carried in Kepuh, Karangpawitan Village, Karawang, West Java, from July to September 2020. The research method used is an experimental method using a factorial randomized block design. There are two factors of 10 treatments. First factor is aeration which of 2 levels, A0 (non aerated) and A1 (aerated). The second factor was dose of vermicompost nutrition which consisted 5 levels, P0 (AB mix), P1 (10ml), P2 (20ml), P3 (30ml), and P4 (40ml). Each treatment repeated 3 times so there were 30 units. Effect of treatment in analysis of variety and if F test at 5% level significant, then continued DMRT test at 5% level. The results of the experiment showed that there was no interaction between the provision of aeration system treatment level and vermicompost dosing on the growth and yield of baby kailan plants. A0 gave the highest yield on plant fresh weight 10.61 g. P1 gave the highest yield of 9.88 g plant fresh weight, which was not significantly different from other vermicompost doses.
