Abstract

This research is to develop 2013 curriculum learning model using trigger Microsoft power point. This is an innovative learning model in order to enhance students’ creative thinking skill in mathematics problem solving. The research method is RND with qualitative research using data collecting techniques such as cheque list, observation, questioner, and problem-solving task. The sample of this research is primary students. The processes of developing this model are (a) initial investigation phase is to study literatures and collect the information, (b) design phase is to design the syntax of this model and create the lesson plans, worksheets, and learning materials, (c) realization phase is to do the syntax of this model and the learning materials, and (d) trial, evaluation, and revision phase is the syntax and the learning materials are validated by some validators, do some revisions, then these are evaluated or tried out in a class. This research results a valid, effective, and practical learning model that is able to enhance students’ creative thinking skill in mathematics problem solving. Thus, the 2013 curriculum using trigger Microsoft power point is a learning model that can be applied in primary school related to 2013 curriculum

Abstract

Mobilitas masyarakat yang semakin tinggi, dengan banyaknya atau lamanya pekerjaan serta cuaca yang tidak menentu, perlu didukung dengan kondisi kesehatan yang optimal. Masyarakat Kampung Babakan, Kelurahan Sukatani, Kecamatan Tapos, Depok, terdiri dari kurang lebih sekitar 40 kepala rumah tangga dengan mayoritas mata pencarian warganya adalah bekerja di sektor formal dan informal. Mobilitas warga Kampung Babakan dinilai sangat tinggi, dengan rata-rata lama bekerja 8-9 jam perhari dari pagi hingga malam selama hampir 6 hari kerja, sehingga rentan mengalami kelelahan atau kondisi kesehatan yang terkadang tidak optimal untuk bekerja. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, sehingga diperlukan peningkatan pengetahuan tentang cara menjaga kesehatan tubuh dengan memanfaatkan tanaman jahe sebagai ramuan tradisional untuk minuman kesehatan berbentuk serbuk/instan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode penyuluhan interaktif dan demostrasi melalui video dalam pengenalan pembuatan gula kristal jahe terhadap pihak mitra. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini adalah pihak mitra senang mengikuti kegiatan ini karena mendapat tambahan inspirasi dalam pemanfaatan jahe sebagai alternatif minuman tradisional untuk menjaga kesehatan serta ide usaha produksi rumahan untuk menambah pendapatan keluarga. Selain pemanfaatan jahe, pihak mitra menjadi mengetahui proses cara pembuatan gula kristal jahe. Kata kunci: Kesehatan tubuh, Gula kristal, Jahe ABSTRACT Increasingly high community mobility, with the number or duration of work and uncertain weather, need to be supported by optimal health conditions. The people of Kampung Babakan, Sukatani, Tapos, Depok, consisting of approximately 40 heads of households with a majority of their livelihoods are working in the formal and informal sectors. The mobility of the residents is very high, with an average length of work 8-9 hours per day on 6 working days. So peoples easily feel tired or sometimes their health conditions are not optimal for working. Based on these conditions, it is necessary to increase knowledge about how to maintain a healthy body by utilizing ginger plants as traditional ingredients for powder / instant health drinks. The method used in this activity was interactive counseling and demonstration methods through video in the introduction of ginger crystals sugar to the partners. The results of this activity were an additional inspiration in utilizing ginger as an alternative for traditional drinks to maintain health and the idea of homemade business to increase the family’s income. Abstract

Minyak bekas pakai (jelantah) merupakan minyak tumbuhan yang sudah digunakan untuk menggoreng. Penggunaan minyak bekas pakai mengakibatkan nilai ekonomis minyak tersebut turun dibanding minyak yang belum digunakan. Disamping itu, dengan sifat karsinogenik minyak bekas pakai sangat berbahaya bagi tubuh. Pemanfaatan minyak jelantah belum dilakukan secara optimal, karena banyaknya minyak bekas pakai yang sudah beberapa kali digunakan oleh restoran, kemudian setelahnya hanya dibuang begitu saja, tidak dimanfaatkan untuk produk lainnya. Proses pembuatan pengharum ruangan dari minyak goreng jelantah menjadi alternatif penyelesaian masalah yang patut dipertimbangkan. Pada pembuatan pengharum ruangan, minyak bekas pakai ini digunakan sebagai pengganti natural oil, yakni bahan utama untuk pengharum. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat melalui penyuluhan pembuatan pengharum ruangan dari minyak jelantah, dilakukan terhadap Ibu-ibu PKK Perumahan Pamulang Park Residence, Pamulang Barat, Kota Tangerang, Banten. Penyuluhan dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan demo langsung di depan peserta kegiatan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini adalah peserta dengan rasa suka cita ikut serta dalam demo kegiatan pembuatan minyak bekas pakai (jelantah) untuk pengharum ruangan. Peserta pun merasa senang karena bertambahnya pengetahuan tentang pemanfaatan minyak jelantah. Harapannya dengan melakukan kegiatan penyuluhan ini, maka Ibu - Ibu PKK pada perumahan tersebut dapat ikut serta dalam upaya meningkatkan daya saing wilayahnya dengan memanfaatkan minyak jelantah. Kata kunci: Limbah Minyak Jelantah, Penyuluhan, Pengharum Ruangan, ABDIMAS, Ibu-ibu PKK ABSTRACT The used oil (waste cooking oil) is a vegetable oil that has been used for frying. The use of cooking oil affects the economic value of the cooking oil lower than unused oil. Besides that, the carcinogenic nature of used oil is very dangerous for the body. Utilization of used cooking oil has not been carried out optimally, because of the amount of used oil that has been used several times by restaurants, and afterward only available just like that, is not used for other products. The process of making room air freshener from used cooking oil becomes an alternative solution to the problem raised. In the manufacture of air fresheners, used oil is used as a substitute for natural oils, which are the main ingredients for fragrances. Community service activities through counseling on the manufacture of air freshener made from used cooking oil were carried out on PKK women in Pamulang Park Residence, Pamulang Barat, Tangerang City, Banten. Counseling was conducted using the lecture and demo method directly in front of the activity participants. The results obtained from this activity were participants who liked to take part in the demonstration of used cooking oil (waste cooking oil) for air freshener. The participants were happy because they were adding knowledge about the use of used cooking oil. It is hoped that by conducting this outreach activity, PKK ladies in this housing can participate in efforts to improve the competitiveness of their region by using used cooking oil. Abstract

Informasi dan  teknologi yang berkembang pesat berpengaruh terhadap proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Siswa sekolah dasar cenderung lebih tertarik dengan penggunaan media pembelajaran yang bersifat permainan (games). Hal menjadi tantangan bagi guru untuk menciptakan permainan dengan memasukan materi ajar yang disesuaikan sehingga siswa termotivasi untuk mencari jawaban dan memperoleh pelajaran dari permainan tersebut. Sekolah Dasar negeri (SDN) Sukarapih 01 Bekasi dan SDN Sukarapih 02 Bekasi adalah sekolah dasar yang berada di Kabupaten Bekasi, Jawa Barat dan belum memanfaatkan metode pengajaran kontemporer dengan memanfaatkan teknologi. Kegiatan ABDIMAS ini bertujuan memberikan informasi dan referensi media pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan di sekolah dasar, dalam hal ini penerapan aplikasi hot potatoes untuk membuat instrumen soal yang bersifat inovatif dan menarik minat siswa. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan, dilakukan pengenalan, pelatihan dan penerapan aplikasi hot potatoes untuk membuat instrumen soal bagi guru. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pelatihan ini cukup berdampak positif, pihak mitra sangat antusias mengikuti pelatihan, aktif dalam mengikuti materi pelatihan dan aktif bertanya saat pengoperasian aplikasi hot potatoes. Mereka menyatakan kepuasannya terhadap pelatihan yang telah dilaksanakan.

Abstract

Konversi satuan merupakan suatu hal yang biasa ditemui saat mengerjakan soal Fisika. Karena banyaknya satuan yang terdapat di materi fisika, baik untuk materi sekolah maupun tingkat perkuliahan, serta tidak semua orang dapat mengerjakannya, maka perlu dibuat suatu aplikasi di dalam sistem android yang dapat membantu dalam pengkonversian satuan dan mudah diakses. Oleh karena itu, peneliti telah mengembangkan aplikasi “sififi” yang dapat diakses oleh semua perangkat android. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah sebagai penelitian terapan untuk menganalisis efektifitas hasil belajar ketika menggunakan aplikasi berbasis android “sififi” dibandingkan jika hanya pembelajaran konvensional (metode ceramah). Penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif ekperimen semu. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan One Groups Pretest-Posttest Design. Data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah adanya perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar sebelum menggunakan aplikasi adalah 71,8 sedangkan setelah menggunakan aplikasi menjadi 85,2 dengan standar error 1,87 dan signifikansi 0,007%. Dengan begitu terlihat bahwa ada perbedaan pembelajaran fisika materi besaran dan satuan dengan dan tanpa penggunaan aplikasi berbasis android sififi sehingga penelitian berikutnya dapat dilanjutkan untuk pengembangan aplikasi sififi agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran.

Abstract

Agave plants are ornamental plants that generally grow wild in the yard or empty land. Apart from being an ornamental plant, agave plants have many uses and benefits. The use of agave plants is located on the plant fibers. One of the benefits of agave fiber is the material used to make a composite material for applications in the medical or industrial fields. The purpose of this study was to determine the fiber characteristics of agave plants including the crystallinity and regularity of agave fibers by testing using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy. Characterization with FTIR can be obtained information of C-O stretching cellulose 1 and sesulose 2 groups, C-H aromatic groups, C = C stretching aromatic ring (G) groups, C = C stretching aromatic ring (S) groups and OH groups from Agave fibers. Agave fibers are made in two different types of samples. The first sample is pure fiber without treatment called (UT) and the second sample, namely fiber with soaking sodium hydroxide (NaOH) is called treatment fiber (T). The results obtained show that T fibers have a degree of crystallinity and strength based on higher OH groups compared to UT fibers.

Abstract

The Middle East Respiratory Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) is a disease caused by a coronavirus. This virus is contagious, but its transmission is not as easy as the common cold, MERS-CoV virus is better susceptible to transmitting through direct contact, for example in people who care about the MERS-CoV virus without the need for virus protection. To determine the characteristics, the MERS-CoV disease virus can be identified by identifying DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid). One technique in understanding the characteristics of life is by grouping. Grouping can be done by grouping DNA into groups that have attributes and functions. The Clustering algorithm used in this study is Partitioning Around Medoid (PAM). This algorithm has the advantage that the results of the grouping process are not by following the order of entering the dataset and overcome sensitivity to noise and outliers. The purpose of this study is to implement the Partitioning Around Medoid (PAM) clustering algorithm in clustering the MERS-CoV virus. This research was conducted through a quantitative descriptive literature study. The implementation of the PAM algorithm on the MERS-CoV DNA sequence obtained 2 clusters with the highest silhouette coefficient value on the number of clusters 2, namely 0.61534. The number of members in Cluster 1 is 84 MERS-CoV DNA sequences and the number of members in Cluster 2 is 16 MERS-CoV DNA sequences.

Abstract

One of several algorithms in cryptography is the Hill Cpher method. This method is used in randomizing the contents of the message using a password key in the form of a matrix with the order MXM. The product in this research is a simulation design to explain how a plaintext message is converted into cipher text with encryption and decryption processes and vice versa from ciphertext to paintext through multiplication and inverse matrix operations. using Microsoft Excel (MS Excel). In this study, a matrix with order 2x2 and modulo 26 was used. This simulation design shows how the work process visually for each step in the process of changing the message content in the Hill Cipher method. It is hoped that the results of this study can be used as a learning medium by the community, especially students and lecturers, to increase understanding and broaden their horizons about the Hill Cipher method in cryptography lectures.

Abstract

Minyak goreng merupakan salah satu bahan yang sering digunakan untuk memasak. Hal yang umum terjadi dimasyatakat adalah penggunaan minyak goreng untuk beberapa kali proses penggorengan. Nilai kualitas dari minyak goreng yang telah digunakan untuk menggoreng, maupun sebelum digunakan tentunya berbeda. Terlebih lagi untuk minyak goreng curah. Karena hal tersebut, dilakukan penelitian tentang analisis minyak goreng curah habis pakai. Minyak goreng curah digunakan untuk menggoreng tempe dan ikan teri sebanyak 1 kali, 2 kali, dan 3 kali penggorengan. Minyak tersebut kemudian dianalisis dengan mengukur kekentalan, massa jenis, dan kekeruhan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian diketahui bahwa nilai pengukuran secara kuantitas pada parameter kekeruhan dan viskositas mempunyai nilai yang berbeda. Sedangkan pada pengukuran massa jenis, memiliki nilai yang hampir sama, hanya berbeda pada minyak goreng 1 kali penggorengan.

Abstract

The population of Indonesia from year to year has increased. The increase in population must also be accompanied by increased economic growth in Indonesia. The increase in economic growth in Indonesia is marked by the reduction in the number of poor people in Indonesia. In addition, the increase in economic growth is reflected in the equitable distribution of public income in the country. Even though there are still many Indonesian people who are not yet prosperous in economic terms. To overcome, it is necessary to have clustering and characteristics of 34 provinces in Indonesia by implementing the Modification Maximum Standard Deviation Reduction (MMSDR) graph clustering algorithm. The data used are indicators of public welfare in 2017 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency. There are 9 indicators of community welfare used in this research. There are four stages in the MMSDR algorithm namely the "MST", "Subdivide", "Biggest Stepping" and "Create Clusters" processes. The results of this study can be seen from the distance between the nodes or between one province and another province produced 22 clusters. From the cluster results obtained using the MMSDR algorithm on welfare data, there are many clusters formed with cluster members formed at most two nodes (province). Keywords: MMSDR, Clustering, Welfare of People
