Abstract

Batam is one of cities whose industry has been developing so fast in which its island is located strategically. The development of Batam Island as an industrial area has pushed ahead the development of other sectors. As the industrial sectors have developed in Batam city, the residential areas for the workers have also developed quickly outside the industrial areas, Batam. The mushrooming of houses for workers who want to rent outside the industrial areas has caused a new problem for Batam, in which the quality of environment is getting low; furthermore, this tends cause slum. This is because a lot number of workers there are from other areas outside Batam. Moreover, this is also caused by the increase of employment composition in industrial sector of 53,03%. The aims of this research were to know the condition of the whole aspects - social, economy, and ecology in the future and to observe a sensitive driving system to determine the sustainability management of housing. This research was carried out in an industrial areas in Batam city including Muka Kuning, Tanjung Uncang and Tembesi. This research was performed in five months from May to September 2015. The modeling of development and housing which is sustainable in Batam Industria Areas was done with the approach of dynamic system. The result of simulation showed that the quality of environment in 2010 was 44.85% and will decrease of 34.62% in 2020. This was due to the increase of waste which could not be managed. The level of security and comfort to live in the housing in 2010 was 68.28% and will decrease of 48.43% in 2020. With all of the problems mentioned, the level of housing sustainability in 2010 was 42.33% and will decline of 29.58% in 2030. The process to develop the housing is still needed because there are still many people whose income is still low and they need the housing. The main strategy to develop and use the housing needs cooperation partnership or the relationship among the government, the manager of housing and the residents. Therefore, the development that will be done in the future will be better.  Keywords : housing, environment, dynamic system, simulation

Abstract

Penurunan manfaat dari ekosistem mangrove baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung disebabkan oleh konversi hutan mangrove menjadi tambak. Untuk mengembalikan kondisi lingkungan, pemerintah melakukan rehabilitasi tambak dengan menerapkan sistem tambak wanamina. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengestimasi nilai sylvofishery eksternalitas kawasan mangrove yang dikonversi menjadi tambak di Delta Mahakam dan menghitung analisis usaha budidaya tambak dengan sistem ekstensif-tradisional serta sistem wanamina. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai manfaat yang hilang mencapai Rp 209.688.551.071 per tahun dari hutan mangrove yang telah dikonversi menjadi tambak seluas 75.311 hektar. Nilai BCR tambak sistem ekstensif-tradisional menunjukan nilai negatif dan tambak sistem wanamina bernilai positif artinya bahwa pemanfaatan tambak dengan sistem wanamina akan mendatangkan keuntungan dan layak dilaksanakan pada saat ini.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to predict the design parameters of lugged wheel that fit through the soil penetration resistance measurement directly in paddy fields. Location of the study was on paddy fields in the village Situ Gede Bogor, West Java. Penetrometer with a plate size of 5 cm x 20 cm is used to press the soil to a depth of 20 cm with inclination press angle of 90o, 75o, 60o, 45o and 30o. Data were analyzed by linear regression method to obtain the relationship between the pressure force and depth presseure for each different inclination of pressure angle. By using the equation of force generated by active lug wheels were touching the soil and the resulting linear regression equation to predict the lugged wheel design for two-wheeled tractor (Yanmar TF85 MLY-in). Tractor assumed to be operating at 15 cm sinkage so that the selected design is a design in which the resulting reaction force able to resist the load supplied by the tractor and implement and used the most minimum construction materials. The results of the calculations recommended number of lugs 12, 45o angle of lugs, width of lugs 10 cm, length of lugs 35 cm, outer diameter wheels 84 cm is the lugged wheel design optimum.ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memprediksi parameter desain roda besi bersirip yang sesuai melalui pengukuran tahanan penetrasi tanah secara langsung di lahan sawah. Lokasi penelitian berada pada lahan sawah di Desa Situ Gede Bogor, Jawa Barat. Penetrometer dengan ukuran plat 5 cm x 20 cm digunakan untuk menekan tanah sampai kedalaman 20 cm dengan kemiringan sudut tekan 90o, 75o, 60o, 45odan 30. Data dianalisis dengan metode regresi linier untuk memperoleh hubungan antara gaya penekanan dan kedalaman penekanan untuk tiap sudut penekanan yang berbeda. Dengan menggunakan persamaan gaya yang dihasilkan oleh sirip aktif roda yang menyentuh tanah dan persamaan regresi linier yang dihasilkan maka dapat diprediksi desain roda besi bersirip untuk traktor roda dua (yanmar TF85 MLY-di). Traktor diasumsikan beroperasi pada sinkage 15 cm sehingga desain yang dipilih adalah desain di mana gaya reaksi yang dihasilkan mampu mengatasi beban yang diberikan oleh traktor dan implemen serta penggunaan bahan konstruksi yang paling minimum. Hasil perhitungan merekomendasikan jumlah sirip 12, sudut sirip 45o, lebar sirip 10 cm, panjang sirip 35 cm, diameter luar roda 84 cm adalah desain roda besi bersirip yang optimum.

Abstract

Degradation of mangrove forest in Mahakam Delta were caused by conversion into ponds.These conditions resulted in a decrease in the benefits of the mangrove ecosystem, bothdirectly and indirectly. To restore the environmental conditions, the government rehabilitatingponds by applying sylvofishery pond system. This study aims to estimate the value ofexternalities mangrove areas converted to ponds in the Mahakam Delta and counting analysisfurther aquaculture with traditional extensive system as well as sylvofishery system. From theresult of study, it can be concluded that value of the lost benefits that reach Rp. 137,484,760,721, - / year of mangrove forests that  have been converted to ponds for  75,311 ha. NVPvalue was negative and BCR less than 1 for traditional extensive pond system which meansthat the use of ponds with extensive traditional system will suffer a loss and this business wasnot feasible at this time as well as the positive value of BCR and NVP more than1 for thesylvofishery pond system means that utilization of ponds with sylvofishery system will beprofitable and feasible at this time

It is intended to be used by chip entrepreneur on determining the most economical chipper allocation and man power requirement. The package was developed by using Turbo Pascal, running well on the computers compatible with ISM PC (XT or AT) with minimum 640 Kb RAM and VGAISuper VGA monitor. Program testing showed that the program has a sufficient capability as a management tool.

TASAE adalah kependekan dari Tsukuba AsianSeminar on Agricultural Education, yaitu suatu seminar yang diselenggarakan setiap tahun, pertama kali tahun 1979, oleh UNESCO-APEID (AsiaPacific Programme of EducationalInnovation for Development). Seminar tersebut bertujuan untuk mengembangkan strategi dan inovasi dalam pendidikan pertanian. Pertanian berbudaya industri diartikan sebagai pengelolaan kegiatan pertanian secara industri.Beberapa ciri pertanian bebudaya industri adalah adanya pemanfaatan ilmu pengetahuan untuk pengambilan keputusan. pemakaian kemajuan teknologi sebagai instrumen utama pada pemanfaatan sumberdaya dan perekayasaan untuk meminimalkan ketergantungan terhadap lingkungan, efisiensi dan produktivitas sebagai dasar uatama dalm alokasi sumberdaya, mutu dan keunggulan merupakan orientasi, wacana sekaligus tujuan, dan mekanisme pasar instrumen utama dalam transaksi barang dan jasa (Kartasasmita, 1996).

Abstract

Abstract ECR is one of Maintenance Performance Index (MPI)’s  criteria in The System of Eco Maintenance (SEM) proposed for sugarcane fabrication. The SEM is a maintenance system that concerns to energy conservation issue in sugarcane  fabrication. Reduction of energy consumption can affect the reduction of pollutant produced by sugarcane fabrication process. MPI and EPI (Environment Performance Index) are  Operational Performance Index (OPI)’s components that calculated by SEM. The OPI will be used for selecting a proper strategy for  revitalization of sugarcane factory. ECR uses  a pairwise comparison assesment  based on experts interview and judgement. Then, it will be calculated by Expert Choice software. The weight of  ECR’s criteria will be multiplied by criteria value from data processing  result in SEM software. The results show that the highest value of ECR is of 41.52 for Mill and Boiler station and the lowest result is of 8.83 for Drying and Packaging station. Finally the value of ECR will be classified into very critical (ECR1), critical (ECR2), less critical (ECR3) and non critical (ECR4), to determine the level of station’s criticality. keywords: ECR, eco maintenance, sugarcaneAbstrak ECR  adalah salah satu dari kriteria Indeks Kinerja Perawatan (MPI) dalam Sistem Eco Maintenance (SEM) yang diusulkan untuk pengolahan gula tebu. SEM adalah suatu sistem perawatan yang peduli terhadap isu konservasi energi dalam pengolahan gula tebu. Pengurangan konsumsi energi dapat berpengaruh terhadap pengurangan polutan yang dihasilkan oleh proses pengolahan gula tebu.  MPI dan EPI (Indeks Kinerja Lingkungan) adalah komponen-komponen dari Indeks Kinerja Operasional (OPI) yang dihitung oleh SEM. OPI akan digunakan untuk menyeleksi strategi yang tepat bagi revitalisasi pabrik pengolah gula tebu. ECR menggunakan penilaian pembandingan berpasangan berbasis pada wawancara dan penilaian pakar. Kemudian, penilaian tersebut  akan dihitung oleh piranti lunak  Expert Choice. Bobot dari kriteria ECR akan dikalikan dengan nilai kriteria dari hasil pemrosesan data dalam piranti lunak SEM. Hasilnya memperlihatkan bahwa nilai tertinggi dari ECR adalah  41.52 untuk stasiun Gilingan dan Ketel Uap dan hasil  terendah adalah 8.83 untuk stasiun Pengeringan dan Pengepakan. Pada akhirnya nilai ECR akan diklasifikasikan menjadi sangat kritis (ECR1), kritis (ECR2), kurang kritis (ECR3) dan tidak kritis (ECR4), untuk menggambarkan tingkat dari kekritisan stasiun. Abstract

Abstract An effort to improve the productivity of dairy cattle industry, especially small holders, has been made by designing semi automatic dairy cattle milking machine. Prototype of the machine has also been tested and the result was satisfying.  However there is still no effort that has been made to produce the machine commercially. This research is aimed to carry out a pre-investment analysis for commercializing semi automatic dairy cattle milking machine in West Java Province which covers need analysis, functional and operational design of workshop, and financial feasibility analysis of the business. The results indicate that under the given conditions and assumptions the business of producing semi automatic dairy cattle milking machine is technically as well as financially feasible.  It requires initial investment of Rp. 37,226,400, annual fixed cost of Rp. 88,323, 915 and variable cost of Rp. 289,221,112 yearly. For 15 years project’ period, interest rate of 15% and selling price of Rp. 7,416,065 per unit the business results to an NPV of Rp. 144,242,044 and IRR of 101%. Without selling price increase, the financial feasibility can be maintained on the raw material price increase up to 10% and the wage increase up to 14%. Keywords: Pre-investmemnt analysis, business feasbility, milking machine, commercialization of design Abstrak Usaha untuk meningkatkan produktivitas industri susu sapi perah, khususnya pada skala kecil, telah dilakukan melalui rancang bangun alat pemerah susu sapi semi otomatis tipe engkol. Kinerja prototipe dari alat tersebut juga telah diuji dengan hasil yang memuaskan. Namun demikian sampai saat ini belum ada upaya untuk memproduksi alat tersebut secara komersial.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis pra-investasi untuk komersialisasi alat pemerah susu sapi semi otomatis tipe engkol, meliputi analisis kebutuhan, analisis rancangan usaha produksi serta analisis tingkat kelayakan finansial usaha produksi alat pemerah susu sapi tersebut di wilayah Jawa Barat. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dengan kondisi dan sumsi yang diberikan usaha produksi alat pemerah susu sapi semi otomatis layak secara teknis maupun finansial. Usaha tersebut membutuhkan investasi awal sebesar Rp. 37,226,400, biaya tetap per tahun Rp. 88,323, 915 dan biaya variabel sebesar Rp. 289,221,112 per tahun.  Pada jangka waktu proyek 15 tahun, tingkat bunga bank 15% dan  harga jual alat sebesar Rp. 7,416,065 usaha produksi alat pemerah susu sapi semi otomatis memberikan nilai manfaat (NPV) sebesar Rp. 144,242,044 serta IRR sebesar 101%. Tanpa kenaikan harga jual, kelayakan finansial masih dapat dipertahankan sampai dengan kenaikan biaya bahan baku sebesar 10% dan kenaikan biaya pengerjaan sebesar 14%. Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper presents the improvement of block system planning of irrigation water in cikarang area for optimization of the irrigation water distribution by using Genetic Algorithm. A genotype representation of spatial allocation was proposed: a fixed-length genotype composed of four genes that represent spatial allocation determined by greedy algorithm. The process of optimizing genotype includes evaluation, selection, crossover, and mutation,. Evaluation process determined the fitness of the genotype based on the distance of water sources, availability of irrigation water, labor, mechines and delay of harvesting opertion of last-season crop. Several types of selection, crossover and mutation were tested to obtain the best processing sequence for optimizing the genotype. This approach was comared to a real block system problem determined by Perum Jasa Tirta II and the adventages of the approach were identified. Keyword: representasi, Algoritma Genetik, Irigasi
