Abstract

Abstract

Currently, especially in Trenggalek province, many motivated teachers need help to get promoted due to the obligation to publish academic papers. These findings reveal that teachers lack the knowledge and competence to prepare for scientific work. This community service activity was carried out as a solution to the problem of partners who have proven effective in providing training in writing scientific articles for teacher educators, especially in the Trenggalek Regency. This PKM will make the achievements of driving instructors more visible and will positively impact improving the quality of instructors in Trenggalek, especially in scientific writing.

Abstract

E-learning is one of the trends in physics learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. However, its implementation has advantages and disadvantages that must be considered. Therefore, this study will examine the profile of e-learning physics during the pandemic from the perspective of students and teachers. The research is a mixed-method embedded design with a sample of 209 students and 9 physics teachers. Data collection techniques used were surveys and structured interviews, while data analysis techniques were carried out descriptively. The study results indicate that students tend not to find it easy to implement e-learning, with the most obstruction being network instability and the lack of internet quota. Students also do not experience an increase in learning motivation when using e-learning. Students' most frequently used platforms are Google Classroom, WhatsApp, Google Meet, and Zoom. Students rated e-learning as a whole with an average score of 6.61. Some of the teacher's responses are consistent with the student survey results. According to the teacher, planning to implement e-learning has its respective advantages and disadvantages. E-learning is one of the alternative learning activities that can be carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic or even post-pandemic, along with the increase in digitalization and information technology in the education system.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on education in Indonesia. Therefore, teachers need to build a learning system using media and learning models following current pandemic conditions. In this regard, the study is focused on analyzing effective learning models and media to provide their advantages and disadvantages when used during online learning so that teachers can choose a learning system that suits students' needs and conditions. This research uses literature study methods with qualitative descriptive analysis. There are 12 journals that have been successfully obtained and reviewed from the title, research results, and conclusions. The findings showed that suitable online learning models are student-centered learning models such as PjBL, PBL, DL, ORNE, Cooperative TGT, and guided inquiry. In addition, the use of ICT-based interactive media can improve learning outcomes, motivation and creativity of learners, also support the implementation of online learning well.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills of students in Indonesia are still very low, then one way to improve CTS is to collaborate learning with real-world problems that can be found in everyday life with the help of existing technology as a learning tool. The purpose of this research was to find out the profile of students' critical thinking skills and the implementation of problem based learning implementation with assisted augmented reality books in high schools, especially on learning physics with parabolic motion materials. The method research is included in preliminary research with a sample of 190 high school students in Surabaya, East Java. Data collection techniques by sharing critical thinking skills tests, student response surveys and interviews of students and teachers. Then the data is analyzed using qualitative descriptive to represent the results of the reserach. The findings of the study are 1) Students' critical thinking skills are still in the low category. 171 students with low categories, 19 medium categories and none at all high-category students; 2) The lowest indicator of critical thinking skills is interpretation; 3) Teachers still use conventional lecture methods and teaching materials during learning; 4) The implementation of problem-based learning models with integrated AR books is expected to improve students' critical thinking skills on physics materials. It can be concluded that to improve students' critical thinking skills, it is important to innovate learning, especially in physics learning, one of which is the implementation of Problem Based Learning assisted by Augmented Reality books.
