Abstract

Abstract: Result of a preliminary study showed that in general the collaborative problem solving skills, science process skills, and confidence of students of SMA Negeri 19 Surabaya, SMAN 1 Tegaldlimo, MA Roudlotun Nasyin Mojokerto are still low. Therefore, researchers developed a model instructional group science learning to enhance collaborative problem solving skills, science process skills, and confidence. The purpose of this research is to get validity of Group Science Learning (GSL) developed to improve collaborative problem solving skills, science process skills, and confidence. Methods of data collection validation using Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Group science learning model developed needs to be validated by experts through Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Group science learning model assessed the validity of the learning model based on content validity and construct validity. Results of the validation by experts through focus group discussions indicate that group science learning model to improve the collaborative problem solving skills, science process skills, and confidence in this study are included in the category of very valid. This group science learning model can be implemented in learning to improve the collaborative problem solving skills, science process skills, and confidence. Keywords:  content validity, construct validity,  and group science learning model  Abstrak: Hasil studi awal menunjukkan bahwa secara umum keterampilan pemecahan masalah kolaboratif, keterampilan proses sains, dan kepercayaan diri siswa SMA Negeri 19 Surabaya, SMA Negeri 1 Tegaldlimo, MA Roudlotun Nasyin Mojokerto masih rendah. Oleh karena itu peneliti bermaksud mengembangkan model group science learning. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan validitas model Group Science Learning  yang dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah kolaboratif, keterampilan proses sains, dan kepercayaan diri. Metode pengumpulan data validasi menggunakan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Validitas model pembelajaran Group Science Learning dinilai berdasarkan validitas isi dan validitas konstruk. Hasil validasi oleh pakar melalui FGD menunjukkan bahwa model Group Science Learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah kolaboratif, keterampilan proses sains, dan kepercayaan diri dalam penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid. Model Group Science Learning dapat diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah kolaboratif, keterampilan proses sains, dan kepercayaan diri.Kata Kunci: Validitas isi, validitas konstruk,  dan group science learning model

Abstract

Abstract. Responsibility as life skills and career 21st century. There is still limited knowledge and have not been integrated in a comprehensive manner. The goal of this study is to identify student’s responsibility Department PMIPA of Lambung Mangkurat University in learning Physics. This study used a qualitative approach with survey method. Subjects were 156 students of biology education; chemistry education, physical education, and science education are a program fundamental physics course. Data collected from questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Data were analized by descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results of questionnaire showed that most students feel responsible for participating, respect for others, teamwork, leadership, and expression with the criteria of good/excellent, but the observations and interviews show that  a lot of student are difficulties in leading and expression, as well as some students still deficient/sufficient in participating, respect for others, and team work. Keywords: Responsibility, Fundamental Physics Abstrak.  Tanggung jawab sebagai keterampilan hidup dan berkarir abad 21 ternyata masih diajarkan sebatas pengetahuan dan belum diintegrasikan secara komprehensif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi tanggung jawab mahasiswa Jurusan PMIPA Universitas Lambung Mangkurat dalam pembelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode survey. Subyek penelitian adalah 156 mahasiswa pendidikan biologi, pendidikan kimia, pendidikan fisika, dan pendidikan sains yang memprogram mata kuliah fisika dasar. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, pengamatan, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa merasa bertanggung jawab dalam berpartisipasi, menghormati orang lain, kerja sama, memimpin, dan menyampaikan pendapat dengan kriteria baik/sangat baik, tetapi hasil pengamatan maupun wawancara menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa kesulitan dalam memimpin dan menyampaikan pendapat, serta beberapa mahasiswa masih kurang/cukup dalam berpartisipasi, menghormati orang lain, dan kerja sama. Kata kunci: Tanggung Jawab, Fisika Dasar

Abstract

The teaching material for Physics based on collaborative creativity learning (CCL) model is by design to improve scientific creativity, collaborative skills, and science process skills of junior high school students. The focus of this research is to analyze the teaching materials based on CCL model in terms of their validity (content and construct, reliable) and effectiveness to improve students? scientific creativity in the science lesson, particularly for Physics education. The validity and effectiveness of the teaching material were measured by using Validation Assessment Sheet (VAS) and Scientific Creativity Assessment Sheet (SCAS). The data were analysed through mean validity score, Cronbach?s coefficient alpha, Wilcoxon test, N-gain, and Mann Whitney test. The results of this study include: (1) validity of the the CCL-based teaching materials for Physics fulfill validity criteria (valid and reliable); (2) in terms of components of validity, the CCL-based teaching materials for Physics: (a) there is an increase of students? scientific creativity with the alpha of ? = 0.05, (b) the average score of students? scientific creativity was in medium category, and (c) there is no significant different improvement (consistent) of scientific creativity skills in all groups. The implication of this developmental research of CCL-based teaching materials for Physics has proven to be valid and effective to increase the scientific creativity of junior high school students, particularly in Motions and Simple Machine chapters.

Abstract

In this industrial revolution 4.0 era, professional science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) bachelor must have various skills. One of which is problem-solving skills. The development of problem-solving skills (PSS) is very important in higher education. Students must have PSS that must be improved to become excellent graduates, including physics bachelor candidates. Many physics bachelor candidates lack problem-solving skills. This problem is the basis for developing innovative learning models based online that, by design, can improve the problem-solving skills of physics bachelor candidates in the COVID-19 pandemic. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness ORNE learning model in improving the problem-solving skills of physics bachelor candidates as an alternative to online learning in the COVID-19 pandemic. The research design used a true-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design with 58 physics bachelor candidates. Data collected using the problem-solving skills test and then analyzed using the Paired Sample Test, Effect Size, N-gain, and Independent Sample Test. The results showed that the ORNE learning model proved effective in improving physics bachelor candidates' problem-solving skills. This research implies that the ORNE learning model can improve physics bachelor candidates' problem-solving skills as an alternative to online learning in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is produce physics learning material through guided inquiry model that valid, practical, and effective to try multiple representation ability of student in senior high school. The development of learning material used the Kemp model and was tested in class X of SMAN 19 Surabaya second semester in academic year 2013/2014 with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data collection used observation method, test, and quetionnaires. The data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis of quantitative, qualitative and statistic non parametric. The results of this research are: 1) Learning material developed has a valid category; 2) Learning material in terms of a practical category in feasibility of lesson plans and the students’ activities in accordance with steps of guided inquiry model; and 3) The learning material effectiveness in terms of: (a) Improving students’ learning achievement seen from the n-gain score with high category; (b) Improving multiple representation ability of student by getting the n-gain score with high category and the analysis results of  statistic non parametric are: 1) nothing different of multiple representation ability of student at each class, 2) different of multiple representation ability of student, and 3) nothing different of improving multiple representation ability of student at each class; and (c) The students’ responds toward material and implementation of learning are very positive. It’s conclusion that the learning material through guided inquiry model are valid, practical, and effective to try multiple representation ability of student in senior high school Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika model inkuiri terbimbing yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatihkan kemampuan multi representasi siswa SMA. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model Kemp dan diujicobakan di kelas X SMAN 19 Surabaya semester genap tahun ajaran 2013/2014 dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes, dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif, kualitatif dan uji statistik non parametrik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan,: 1) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkategori valid; 2) Perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori praktis dan aktivitas siswa sesuai dengan tahap-tahap pada model inkuiri terbimbing; dan 3) Keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari: (a) Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa terlihat dari n-gain dengan kategori tinggi; (b) Peningkatan penguasaan kemampuan multi representasi siswa terlihat dari n-gain dengan kategori tinggi dan hasil analisis uji statistik non parametrik, yaitu: 1) tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan multi representasi awal siswa pada kelas yang satu dengan kelas yang lain, 2) terdapat peningkatan kemampuan multi representasi siswa, dan 3) tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan multi representasi siswa pada kelas yang satu dengan kelas yang lain; dan (c) Respon siswa terhadap perangkat dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran sangat positif. Disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran model inkuiri terbimbing yang dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatihkan kemampuan multi representasi siswa SMA.

Abstract

This article summarizes the issue of Indonesian curriculum reform in policy and local wisdom. The perspectives on science education influence the analysis and discussions. This paper is part of a position paper (PP) in which the writers tailored their ideas based on their experiences and literature review. The views regarding curriculum policy, science local wisdom, and ethnoscience were developed based on theoretical and empirical literature regarding these issues. The discussion is divided into five parts: curriculum policy and policy borrowing, philosophy of Indonesian local wisdom, cultural-based learning, science local wisdom and ethnoscience, and policy borrowing versus local wisdom. The significance of the results gives a view to the government, academicians, policymakers, and educational communities.

Abstract

Masih banyak guru berpangkat IV/a yang masih mengalami kesulitan untuk kenaikan pangkat berikutnya karena adanya persyaratan menullis karya tulis ilmiah. Para guru kurang pengetahuan dan kemampuan tentang pembuatan karya tulis ilmiah. Diperkuat adanya tantangan dan masalah yang dihadapi oleh guru terkait berlakunya Peraturan Menteri Negara Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan Reformasi Birokrasi Nomor 16 Tahun 2009 tentang Jabatan Fungsional Guru dan Angka Kreditnya, yang mencantumkan syarat jika naik pangkat harus memiliki publikasi ilmiah. Masalah ini juga berdampak pada Guru SMA di Kota Surabaya yang masih banyak terhambat kenaikan pangkatnya karena tidak bisa menulis artikel di jurnal ilmiah. Kota Surabaya mulai menerapkan pembatasan sosial berskala besar (PSBB). Ini juga berdampak pada pelatihan atau workshop tidak bisa diadakan secara face-to-face. Hal tersebut telah menjadi masalah serius dan perlu alternatif solusi agar kualitas guru SMA di kota Surabaya tidak mengalami penurunan, khususnya keterampilan menulis artikel di jurnal nasional. Oleh karena itu, Gugus Kerjasama, Publikasi, dan Internasionalisai (KPI) Pascasarjana Univeristas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) memberikan kontribusi positif dan nyata kepada guru SMA di kota Surabaya melalui Kegiatan Workshop Penulisan Artikel Ilmiah Moda Daring Pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19. Kegiatan ini terbukti dapat meningkatkan kualitas dari keterampilan menulis artikel ilmiah.

Abstract

Pada era revolusi industri 4.0 ini telah berkembang literasi baru dan sangat penting untuk mencegah berita dan konten info bohong (hoax). Masalah terkait konten info yang bersifat hoax tersebut sangatlah berbahaya. Yang menjadi masalah utama bagi mahasiswa adalah untuk mengikuti pelatihan tersebut memerlukan biaya yang tidak sedikit. Pada era pandemi COVID-19 ini, khususnya para mahasiswa mengalami keterbatasan anggaran untuk mengikuti workshop pelatihan tersebut harus membayar. Kota Surabaya, Kabupaten Sidoarjo, dan Kabupaten Gresik mulai menerapkan Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) mulai Selasa (28/4/2020). Ini juga berdampak pada pelatihan atau workshop tidak bisa diadakan secara face-to-face. Hal tersebut telah menjadi masalah serius dan perlu alternatif solusi agar kualitas anggota Karang Taruna Desa Klurak, Candi, Sidoarjo tidak mengalami penurunan, khususnya keterampilan pembuatan konten ilmiah info COVID-19. Oleh karena itu, Tim PKM berkehendak memberikan kontribusi positif dan nyata Karang Taruna Desa Klurak, Candi, Sidoarjo dengan Kegiatan Online Workshop Pembuatan Konten Ilmiah Info COVID-19.

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu bahan kimia yang membahayakan kesehatan, boraks telah dilarang oleh Pemerintah untuk digunakan sebagai bahan tambahan pangan. Namun faktanya boraks masih sering digunakan oleh oknum produsen makanan, termasuk pada kerupuk agar kerupuk menjadi renyah. Guna melindungi kesehatan masyarakat dari paparan boraks tersebut, maka kegiatan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat untuk mengenali kandungan boraks di dalam kerupuk secara sederhana perlu digalakkan, salah satunya kepada warga RT 02 RW 02 Kel. Kedondong Bagor Nganjuk mengingat bahwa bagi warga setempat, kerupuk sudah menjadi makanan sehari-hari. Pada kegiatan ini, 15 macam kerupuk yang dibeli dari Pasar Wage setempat diuji kandungan boraks menggunakan kertas kunyit. Kertas kunyit yang berwarna kuning karena mengandung curcuma akan berubah warna menjadi coklat kemerahan apabila dilarutkan ke dalam asam borat (zat di dalam boraks) yang terkandung di dalam kerupuk. Dari ke-15 kertas kunyit yang telah direndam di dalam 15 macam larutan kerupuk, 40 % diantaranya telah berubah warna menjadi coklat kemerahan yang menandakan bahwa kerupuk-kerupuk tersebut mengandung boraks. Temuan tersebut ternyata sesuai dengan hasil uji boraks yang dilakukan pada kerupuk-kerupuk yang sama di Laboratorium Farmasi Universitas Airlangga Surabaya dengan metode Asam Borat & Borat di dalam Makanan No. 970.33.
