Abstract

The study aimed to evaluate the effect of adding fermented feather mael (FFM) on pigs' performance, intake, and digestibility. There were 16 landrace crossbred pigs 2-3 months old with 6-19 kg (average 13.59 kg; CV= 29.59%) initial body weights used in the study. Trial method using complete block design 4 treatments with 4 replicates procedure was applied in the study. The 4 treatment feeds were formulated as: R0: basal diet with 100% concentrate without TBAT (control); R1: basal diet with 90% concentrate + 10% FFM; R2: basal diet with 80% concentrate + 20% FFM; and R3: basal diet with 70% concentrate + 30% FFM. Variables evaluated were feed intake, daily weight gain and feed conversion (performance) landrace crossbred pigs. Statistical analysis shows no significant (P>0.05) on feed intake, daily weight gain and feed conversion. The conclusion were that that including FFM into basal diet gave relative the same results in the feed intake, daily weight gain and feed conversion.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mempelajari pengaruh penggunaan tepung daun mengkudu (Morinda Citrifolia) dalam ransum terhadap konsumsi dan kecernaan serat kasar dan lemak kasar pada babi peranakan landrace. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 12 ekor ternak babi jantan kastrasi peranakan landrace fase stater umur 1-2 bulan, variasi berat badan 10,50-21,50 kg, rata-rata 16,70 kg dan koefisien variasi 18,76 %. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 kelompok sebagai ulangan. Perlakuan yang dicobakan adalah R0: 100 % ransum basal tanpa tepung daun mengkudu (TDM), R1: 98 % ransum basal+2 % TDM, R2: 96 % ransum basal+4 % TDM, R3: 94 % ransum basal+6 % TDM. Variabel yang dihitung adalah konsumsi serat kasar, kecernaan serat kasar, konsumsi lemak kasar dan kecernaan lemak kasar dan lemak kasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung daun mengkudu dalam ransum basal berpangaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap konsumsi dan kecernaan serat kasar namun berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05 terhadap konsumsi dan kecernaan lemak kasar. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini adalah penggunaan tepung daun mengkudu 2, 4, 6 % dalam ransum basal memberikan pengaruh yang relatif sama dalam meningkatkan konsumsi dan kecernaan serat kasar dan lemak kasar pada ternak babi. Kata kunci: babi, mengkudu, serat kasar, lemak kasar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the use of various kinds of yeast as a fermentation medium for chicken feather flour. The chicken feather waste used is broiler chicken feather waste from the Ruteng Inpres Market, Central Manggarai Regency. The method used in this study was an experimental method and the fermentation results were analyzed at the Feed Chemistry Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Marine and Fisheries, Nusa Cendana University. The design used was a complete randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 tests. The treatment tested was R0: Chicken feather flour (CFF); R1: fermented chicken feather flour (FCFF) Saccharomyces cerevisiae; R2: TBAT Amylomyce rouxii; R3: FCFF Rhizopus oligosporus. Variables measured in this study are organoleptic tests in the form of aroma, texture and color as well as proximate tests to see the nutritional quality of chicken feather flour. The results showed that the treatment had a significant effect on reducing the nutritional content of chicken feather flour. Based on the results of this study, the best fermentation medium is to use baker's yeast.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of biogas fermentation on biogas volume and flame duration. This study used the feces of peranakanduroc pigs with an age of 1.5 years. The design used is a complete randomized design with a direct experimental method. The treatment tried was P0: Fermentation of pig feces for 6 days; Q1: Fermentation of pig feces for 12 days; Q2: Fermentation of pig feces for 18 days; Q3: Fermentation of feces of pig herds for 24 days. The variables studied are the calculation of the diameter of the digester, the calculation of the volume of gas and the flame test. The results of statistical analysis used descriptive analysis and resulted in an unreal effect on the research variable (P0.05), but there was an increase in gas volume and flame tests based on treatment so that it can be concluded that the longer the fermentation time, the biogas volume will also increase

Abstract

The study aimed to evaluat effect of including fermented feather meal (FFM) in basal diet as substitution of concentrate KGP-709 on digestibility protein and BETN of starter pigs. There were 16 landrace crossbred pigs 2-3 months old with 6-19 kg (average 13.59 kg; CV= 29.59%) initial body weight used in the study. Trial method used is a method experiment and used complete block design 4 treatments with 4 replicates procedure was applied in the study. The 4 treatment feeds were formulated as: R0: basal diet with 100% concentrate without FFM (control); R1:basal diet with 90% concentrate + 10% FFM; R2: basal diet with 80% concentrate + 20% FFM; and R3: basal diet with 70% concentrate + 30% FFM. Variables evaluated were: intake basal diet, intake protein, digestibility pro- tein, intake BETN and digestibility BETN. Statistical analysis shows there were not significant (P>0.05) on research variable but gave elatively the same effect on each treatment. Concluded in this reaserch is concentrate KGP-709 in the diet could be replaced with FFM because it gave relatively the same results as the control.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to acknowledge the change in the nutrient content of fermented feather flour use a mixture of yeast tape and yeast bread. Feather flour used is a waste broiler feather flour obtained from the Oesao Presidential Market, Kupang Regency. Trial method used was a direct methods and fermented result through proximate analysis would be compared with before fermented. The design used was complete randomized design with 2 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment tested were R0: Broiler feather flour without fermented and R1: fermented broiler feather flour used yeast tape and yeast bread. Variable observed were the change in nutrient content in form of dry matter, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber and material extract without nitrogen feather meal after fermented. Statistical analysis showed significant result (P<0.05) on variables and fermented used yeast tape and yeast bread could increase crude protein and crude fat with could reduce content of crude fiber, carbohydrates and material extract without nitrogen feather meal. The conclusion of this study was yeast tape and yeast bread could increase the nutrients in feather flour that could be used as indgredients mixed diet.

Abstract

The study aimed at evaluating the effect of supplementing concentrate containing fermented corncob (TTJF) and Zn bio-complex on kacang goat performance. There were 12 kacang does 6-8 months of age with 9,3-15,5 averanging 11,20 kg and CV 13,30%. initial body weight used in the study. Completely randomized design 4 treatment diets offered were: R0 : concentrate feed without fermented corncob + 2,06g Zn bi-complex, R1 : concentrate feed containing TTJF 10% + Zn-Biokomplex 2,06g; R2 : concentrate feed containing TTJF 20% + Zn-Biokomplex 2,06g and R3: concentrate feed containing TTJF 30% + Zn-Biokomplex 2,06g. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results of all variables measured were : R0 daily body weight gain (52.21g), R1 (66.16g), R2 (46.17g), R3 (42.09g), daily body length gain: R0 (0.17cm), R1 (0.20cm), R2 (0.18cm), R3 (0.14cm), daily girth cycle gain R0 (0.22cm), R1 (0.27cm), R2 (0.23cm), R3 (0.19cm) and daily body height R0 (0.15cm), R1 (0.18cm), R2 (0.15cm), R3 (0.13cm). Statistical analysis shows that the effect of supplementing containing fermented corncob concentrate with Zn bio-complex is not significant (P>0.05) on all performance variables measured. The conclusion is that supplementing containing fermented corncob concentrate up to 30% with Zn bio-complex performs the relative results in kacang does growth performances. Abstract

Abstrak: Kesulitan, kebingungan, keragu-raguan dalam mengambilkeputusan untuk melanjutkan studi atau menjadi wirausahawan adalah permasalahan yang sering dihadapi siswa di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) khususnya siswa yang telah duduk di kelas 12. Tujuan dari PkM ini adalah untuk mengedukasi siswa dibidang peternakan seperti manajemen biosecurity, pengolahan pakan, recording dan juga perhitungan ekonomi serta memotivasi siswa agar dapat melanjutkan studi pada perguruan tinggi khususnya program studi peternakan. Metode yang dilakukan adalah penyuluhan dan diskusi untuk menggali dan menambah pengetahuan bidang peternakan serta mempromosikan kelebihan program studi peternakan bagi siswa-siswa dikelas 12. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh siswa kelas XII Jurusan Agribisnis Ternak Ruminansia SMKN 1 Lamba Leda sebanyak 40 orang. Kegiatan kedua dilakukan di SMKN 1 Kuwus diikuti oleh 38 orang siswa kelas XII Jurusan Agribinis Ternak Ruminansi dan di SMKN 1 Lembor Selatan Jurusan Perhotelan diikuti oleh 41 orang siswa kelas XII.. Hasil dari kegiataan ini menunjukan adanya peningkaan pengetahuan dan keinginan anak dalam pemilihan melanjutkan studi dibidang peternakan. Abstract: Difficulties, confusion, hesitation in making decisions to continue their studies or become entrepreneurs are problems that are often faced by students in Vocational High Schools (SMK), especially students who are already in class 12.The purpose of this PkM is to educate students in the field of animal husbandry such as biosecurity management, feed processing, recording and also economic calculations as well as motivate students to continue their studies at universities, especially animal husbandry study programs. The method carried out is counseling and discussion to explore and increase knowledge in the field of animal husbandry and promote the advantages of animal husbandry study programs for students in class 12. This activity was attended by 40 students of class XII of the Ruminant Agribusiness Department of SMKN 1 Lamba Leda. The second activity was carried out at SMKN 1 Kuwus followed by 38 class XII students of the Ruminansi Livestock Agribinis Department and at SMKN 1 South Lembor, the Hospitality Department was attended by 41 class XII students. The results of this activity show a denial of knowledge and desires of children in the selection to continue their studies in the field of animal husbandry.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine areas in Manggarai that have potential in pig development. The method used in this study is secondary data observation of Manggarai Regency and will be analyzed using Location Quotient (LQ) analysis. The results showed that the areas that received LQ 1 scores were Satar Mese, West Satar Mese, Wae Ri'i, Cibal and West Reok districts. This means that the region has not been able to meet the needs of its own territory and is still importing from other regions. While the sub-districts that received LQ 1 scores were North Satar Mese, Langke rembong, Ruteng, Lelak, North Rahong, West Cibal and Reok. This means that the pig farming sector is able to meet the needs of its own region and is also able to export outside the region. Manggarai District, North Satar Mese, Langke Rembong, Ruteng, Lelak, North Rahong, West Cibal and Reok are districts with superior communities in the form of livestock

Abstract

The Study aimed to analyze 1) the contribution for pig farmers in household economy and 2) factors that effect the income of pig livestock business in increasing household economic income in Kuwus Subdistrict of West Manggarai Regency. Trial Method used is a purposive sampling in Kuwus Subdistrict. The sample determinant method was done randomly to get 20 respondents and respondents criteria the farmers pig experience at least 5 (five) years. Variables evaluated is analysis of the contribution of pig farming business to the total economic income of pig farmers' households and factors influencing the analysis business pig farm. The percentage for pig farmers against the contribution economic income household for a pig farmer in Kuwus Subdistrict West Manggarai 30.03 % with a total their income as much as Rp. 10,401,158.29/years or equivalent to Rp. 2,886,373.75/month. The factors that affect a domineering manner in economic income household for pig farmers is ownership of cattle swine, non-pig farmer income, and non-farm income while factors that significantly is age of the farmer and the widespread ose of agliculture land.
