Abstract

Kemampuan pemahaman matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan berpikir matematis tingkat tinggi yang menyokong kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Namun saat ini permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah siswa masih merasa kesulitan memahami materi akibat kurang optimalnya kemampuan berpikir siswa. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa adalah melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS). Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk membandingkan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa yang belajar dengan pendekatan saintifik dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dengan siswa yang belajar dengan pendekatan saintifik.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu, dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 15. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh kelas VIII G sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII F sebagai kelas kontrol. Pada kelas eksperimen pembelajaran dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi dan tes. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan statistika deskriptif dan statistika inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS lebih baik daripada peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa pendekatan saintifik dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa sekolah menengah pertama.               Kata kunci:  pendekatan saintifik, think pair share, kemampuan pemahaman matematis

Abstract

Abstrak: Struktur aljabar dan analisis real saling melengkapi dalam konstruksi tubuh matematika. Seorang calon guru harus menguasai dua cabang matematika ini khususnya pada bahasan yang berkaitan langsung dengan kurikulum matematika sekolah. Pandemi memaksa banyak pihak untuk beradaptasi dengan pembelajaran daring dalam waktu cepat. Padahal banyak mahasiswa belum terbiasa dengan pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aplikasi dan metode, respon mahasiswa, serta hasil belajar pada pembelajaran daring mata kuliah struktur aljabar dan analisis real. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika yang mengikuti pembelajaran daring pada masa pandemi. Instrumen utama dalam penelitian adalah peneliti, sedangkan instrumen pendukung adalah angket respon mahasiswa dan soal ujian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa aplikasi dan metode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran daring. Aplikasi yang digunakan ialah whatsapp, google classroom, zoom, dan youtube. Metode yang digunakan ialah penyampaian materi dalam bentuk tulisan dan video, diskusi, serta latihan soal. Mahasiswa lebih menyukai pembelajaran dengan aplikasi google classroom dan penyampaian materi dalam bentuk video. Hasil belajar mahasiswa baik. Abstract: Algebraic structure and real analysis complement each other in the construction of the mathematics. A pre-service teacher must master these two branches of mathematics, especially in discussions that are directly related to the school mathematics curriculum. Pandemic forced many parties to adapt to online learning in a short time. Even though many students are not familiar with online learning. This study aims at describing the applications and methods, student responses, and learning outcomes in online learning of algebraic structure and real analysis courses. This study is a qualitative research. The subjects were Mathematics Education students who took part in online learning during the pandemic. The main instrument was the researcher, while the supporting instruments were the student response questionnaire and exam questions. The results showed that there were several applications and methods used in online learning. The applications used are whatsapp, google classroom, zoom, and youtube. The methods used is the delivery of material in the form of writing and video, discussion, and exercises. Students prefer learning with the google classroom application and delivering material in the form of video. Student learning outcomes are good.

Abstract

This activity aims to increase the understanding and knowledge of mathematics teachers in making creative thinking questions to develop student's HOTS. So that the teacher as the frontline in education is able to develop a student’s creative thinking skills in learning and assessment of mathematics. The method used in this activity is in the form of a short training in making creative thinking questions to develop student’s HOTS. Participants are given training in the form of presentations, demonstrations about creative thinking, and discussions. Participants in the activity are teachers who are members of Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Mathematics of Junior High School in Kabupaten Banjar engaged very well and enthusiastically during the activity. Abstract

This activity aims to increase the understanding and knowledge of mathematics teachers at using the geogebra application for personal computers to support mathematics learning, as a learning media in mathematics. The method that is used in this activity is short training of using the geogebra application for personal computers. Participants were given training by presentations and demonstrations at using the Geogebra application. Abstract

This activity aims to help school students who have difficulty implementing online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in mathematics. The method used in this activity is learning assistance in the form of private or group study consultations. Assistance is carried out offline at home and in orphanages, or online through zoom meetings and whatsapp. The participants of the activity were students from various schools in Banjarmasin at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels who were given assisted assistance to understand the material well.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the development process, validity, and practicality of student worksheets containing Banjar ethnomathematics on quadrilateral and triangle material. This type of research is development research, using the Plomp model, which consists of five phases: the initial investigation phase, the design phase, the realization/construction phase, the test phase, the evaluation, and the revision phase, and implementation phase. However, this development only reached the test, evaluation, and revision phases. The research instrument is a validation sheet and a practicality sheet. Three validators assessed aspects of validity 1 lecturer who is experienced in research linking culture and mathematics learning tools, 1 lecturer in geometry courses, and 1 mathematics teacher. The practical element was evaluated by 26 students and one teacher studying this material. The validation results from the validator obtained an index value of 0.77, which is included in the "medium validity" criteria. The results of the practicality test by teachers and students obtained an achievement rate of 92% and were included in the "efficient" measures. Thus, a learning tool is produced as student worksheets containing Banjar culture on quadrilateral and triangle material with proper and practical steps.

Abstract

Many indexes are involved on ordinary power series calculation. One of the most valuable discovery on previous research is Ops Transformation which able to simplify notations of ordinary power series to avoid some more complicated manipulations. The aim of this research is to generalize the concept of Ops Transformation to gain more benefit and wider applications. The main result of this research is a new formula of generalization of Ops Transformation which called C-Type Ops Transformation. Such transformation is able to solve some differential equations which involving Taylor series

Abstract

Several previous researchers have tried to review the results of previous research related to the development of learning tools using a systematic literature review (SLR) model. However, SLR research efforts that examine the development of learning tools carried out by Indonesian in-service and pre-service mathematics teachers are still limited. Therefore, this study seeks to answer two questions, namely (1) what is the mathematics learning sets developed by the Indonesian ISTs and PSTs, and (2) What instructional design model is used by the Indonesian ISTs and PSTs in developing mathematics learning sets. As many as 55 articles were selected using the PRISMA protocol by retrieving articles from the ERIC and Dimensions databases. The findings of the two questions are that the ADDIE model is the most widely used model by Indonesian PSTs and ISTs in developing learning sets. In addition, mathematics learning media and mathematics student worksheets are the most developed tools by authors. This study also examines several instructional designs and types of mathematics learning sets developed by researchers, which can undoubtedly be a refer-ence for subsequent researchers in developing mathematics learning sets.

Abstract

Some mathematical material will be challenging to understand without learning media, primarily topics that requires visualization, such as geometric transformations. This study aims to describe the process of developing interactive learning media based on the Adobe Animate application of geometry transformation. It also describes the validity and practicality of the developed learning media. This type of research is research and development. The product developed was an interactive learning media application on geometry transformation material created using Adobe Animate. The development model used was the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), consisting of six stages: concept, design, collection of materials, manufacture, testing, and distribution. The research found that the interactive learning media developed were fairly valid (80.12%), with a high level of practicality (4.19). Overall, the learning media developed is feasible to be used in the learning process or as a means of independent learning for students of geometry transformation.
