Abstract

This study aims to investigate how the students organize their ideas in the texts. This study employs a qualitative case study research design. The data were obtained by collecting students’ writing products in the class. Six students’ writing products were selected from three different levels of achievement—low-, mid-, and high- achiever based on the advice from the teacher. For the framework of the text analysis, this study draws on Systemic Functional Linguistic theory, especially of thematic progressions as suggested by Halliday Mathiessen (2004). The results show that all students’ texts from all levels had acquired the main purpose and the schematic structure of a recount text. Moreover, in terms of thematic progression consistency, the most occurrence of thematic progression pattern is the reiteration pattern, followed by the zigzag pattern. Meanwhile, no occurrence of multiple theme pattern in students’ recount texts indicate that the texts are not cohesion and coherence. Based on the findings, it is recommended that the teachers pay more attention to advantages of employing thematic progressions analysis applied in English learning process to allow students to gain a better control of text organization and development. Besides, it is also suggested for further researchersto investigate the other texts or to analyze the cohesive devices beyond thematic progressions.

Abstract

KKN is an intracurricular activity that provides learning and work experience to students in community development activities. The Implementation Board of the Real Work Program (BP-KKN) of the University of Lampung made the information system an important component in the implementation of KKN. BP-KKN's success in carrying out its duties depends on the extent to which the KKN information system management has been implemented. The use of the KKN information system raises various risks that can interfere with the implementation of KKN and cause losses both non-material and material to BP-KKN. BP-KKN needs to apply risk management to reduce the risks that arise, so that the problems caused do not result in the use of KKN information systems being hampered. The method used is NIST 800-30 which is an information system risk management framework with three stages, namely risk assessment, risk mitigation, and risk evaluation. KKN has 9 risks that can interfere with the sustainability of the information system. The final result of the KKN information system risk management is in the form of recommendations given to reduce the risk that will occur in the information system.

Abstract

This article is aimed at describing the role of Surabaya City Administration in nurturing the culture of reading. Presevious studies show that literacy level in Indonesia is relatively low. Inspite of its achievement in eradicating illiteracy, Indonesia has not managed nurturing the culture of reading. In decentralization era, local governments (provincial and regency/city) have vital roles in policy making. They have wider spaces for innovations and creativities in developing their societies and regions, based on the authorities that the central government transferred to them. This context made it possible for the Surabaya City Administration to make policies supporting the nurturing of the culture of reading. This article is based on a field research using qualitative method conducted in Surabaya City. The data of the research resulted from interviews with relevant parties, they are personnel of the Office of Educational Affairs of Surabaya City and the Board of Archive and Library of Surabaya City, and also desk studies. The findings of the research show that in the middle of limited policy instruments available for nurturing literacy, especially nurturing the culture of reading, Surabaya City Administration declared itself as a “city of literacy”, followed by many policies supporting the development of literacy. Those policies are the issuance of literacy-supporting regulations, synergy among related government agencies, human resources development, implementation of literacy events, and education ecosystem envionment. The result of the policies is the increase in the reading interest of the people supported by sustainable literacy programs.

Abstract

The problem in this research is academic procrastination behavior. This study aims to find out how is a significant negative correlation between self regulated learning with academic procrastination using quantitative research methods. The sample of this study was 104 students. The instrument used a scale of self regulated learning and academic procrastination scale. The analysis technique used the product moment technique with a significance level of 5%. Based on the analysis, it is known that the value of r-count = -0.810 from the level of r-table = 0,1622. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant negative relationship between self regulated learning and academic procrastination, meaning that the higher the self regulated learning, the lower the academic procrastination in students, and vice versa is the lower the self regulated learning so the higher academic procrastination for students.Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah perilaku prokrastinasi akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah hubungan yang signifikan negatif antara self regulated learning dengan prokrastinasi akademik menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 104 siswa. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan skala self regulated learning dan skala prokrastinasi akademik. Teknik analisa menggunakan teknik product moment dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Berdasarkan hasil analisa diketahui nilai r-hitung = -0,810 dari taraf r-tabel = 0,1622. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan negatif antara self regulated learning dengan prokrastinasi akademik, artinya semakin tinggi self regulated learning maka semakin rendah prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa, begitu juga sebaliknya yaitu semakin rendah self regulated learning maka semakin tinggi prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa.Kata kunci: bimbingan konseling, prokrastinasi akademik, self regulated learning

Abstract

The issue restriction of internet access in the perspective of human rights has become a serious concern for the national and international people's, because the restriction of internet access is an attempt to limit people's digital right, one of which is the right to access information. However, what would happen if the victims of internet access were Papuans and West Papuans during demonstrations and riots. The purpose of this research is to (1) Determine internet access conducted by the government in Papua and West Papua in the perspective of human rights, and (2) Knowing the access law protection in Papua and West Papua for acts of accessing the internet carried out by the government. The results of this study state that (1) requesting internet access is clearly against human rights because it agrees not to exist in the Law, and (2) related to laws related to internet access, Papuans and West Papuans purchase their Digital Rights in the form of Information Access Rights. Seeing the agreement used to access internet access is in fact not in accordance with the access to legal protection against internet access that is supported. So, the government can be categorized as abusing its authority. The benefit of this research is to contribute in the form of empirical thoughts and findings, especially regarding the practice of limiting human rights.Isu pembatasan akses internet dalam perspektif HAM telah menjadi perhatian serius bagi masyarakat nasional maupun internasional, karena pembatasan akses internet merupakan suatu upaya untuk membatasi hak-hak digital masyarakat yang salah satunya yaitu hak akses informasi. Namun, bagaimana jadinya jika yang menjadi korban pembatasan akses internet ini adalah warga Papua dan Papua Barat saat sedang terjadi unjuk rasa dan kerusuhan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk (1) mengetahui pembatasan akses internet yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah di Papua dan Papua Barat dalam perspektif HAM, dan (2) mengetahui akibat hukum serta perlindungan hukum pada warga Papua dan Papua Barat terhadap tindakan pembatasan akses internet yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa (1) pembatasan akses internet ini jelas pelanggaran HAM karena dalam pembatasannya tidak mengacu pada Undang-Undang, dan (2) akibat hukum dari pembatasan akses internet, warga Papua dan Papua Barat kehilangan Hak Digitalnya yang berupa Hak Akses Infomrasi. Melihat regulasi yang digunakan untuk pembatasan akses internet ini pada faktanya tidak mengatur secara lengkap dan sistematis perlindungan hukumnya terhadap pembatasan akses internet di dalamnya. Sehingga, pemerintah dapat dikategorikan menyalahgunakan kewenangannya. Manfaat penelitian ini untuk memberikan kontribusi berupa pemikiran dan temuan empirik, khususnya mengenai praktik pembatasan hak-hak asasi manusia

Abstract

In Indonesia there are some terminal type A that perceived lack benefits for users because the location is less representative. With quantitative analysis by AHP method the survey held on Bus Terminal at Giwangan and Leuwipanjang. The criteria to decide the location of terminal type A are passanger demand (0.39), density of traffic and road capacity (0.17), environmental sustainability (0.13), integration between modes (0.10), RUTR (0.09), topography (0.07), and security and safety (0.06). The criteria below passanger demand are number of routes, transportation nodes, travel deployment, travel destination and origin. The density of traffic and road capacity has 4 sub-criteria: low-side constraints, the degree of saturation lebih besar 0.7, on arterial roads min IIIA, and have access at least 100 m Sub criteria of environment sustainability: AMDAL documents, lower emissions, noise level lebih kecil 74 dB. Sub criteria of integration between modes are intermodal transfer facilities, 5 routes of public transportation, and b us shelter around bus terminal. Sub criteria for RUTR are located in capital of province, on the AKAP route network, located on the edge city, and the distance between terminal is 20 km. Sub criteria of topography are: easy access AKAP traffic and has at least 5 ha land area in Java. Sub criteria for safety and security are low fatality, safe from safety interruption, easy access for safety official.Keywords: Terminal, Determination of location, AHP  Di Indonesia terdapat beberapa terminal A yang kurang dirasakan manfaatnya bagi pengguna kendaraan angkutan umum yang salah satu penyebabnya dikarenakan lokasinya yang kurang representatif. Dengan mengevaluasi kriteria penetapan lokasi terminal type A dengan analisis kuantitatif menggunakan metode AHP, dari lokasi terminal Leuwipanjang dan Giwangan sebagai lokasi survey, tersusunlah konsep kriteria penempatan lokasi terminal tipe A dengan urutan prioritas demand terminal (0,39), kepadatan lalu lintas dan kapasitas jalan (0,17), kelestarian lingkungan (0,13), keterpaduan antar moda (0,10), RUTR (0,09), Kondisi topografi (0,07), dan keamanan dan keselamatan (0,06). Dari tiap kriteria utama terdapat subkriteria yaitu untuk demand terminal adalah jumlah trayek, simpul transportasi, penyebaran perjalanan, dan asal tujuan perjalanan. Kriteria kepadatan lalu lintas dan kapasitas jalan memiliki 4 sub kriteria yaitu hambatan samping yang rendah, derajat jenuh lebih besar 0,7, terdapat pada jalan arteri min IIIA, dan memiliki akses masuk minimal 100 m. Untuk kriteria kelestarian lingkungan memiliki urutan sub kriteria yaitu dokumen AMDAL, nilai emisi yang rendah, kebisingan lebih kecil74 dB. Urutan sub kriteria untuk keterpaduan antar moda yaitu adanya fasilitas transfer, 5 rute jalur angkot, dan terdapat halte angkot di terminal.Kriteria RUTR memiliki urutan sub kriteria yaitu terletak di ibukota propinsi, terletak pada jaringan trayek AKAP, terletak di pinggir kota, dan jarak antar terminal 20 km.Kriteria kondisi topografi memiliki 2 sub kriteria yaitu akses yang mudah untuk lalu lintas AKAP dan memiliki luas lahan minimal 5 Ha di Pulau Jawa. Untuk sub kriteria keamanan dan keselamatan yaitu fatalitas rendah, aman dari gangguan keselamatan, akses petugas mudah.Kata kunci: Terminal, Penetapan lokasi, AHP
