Abstract

Tujuan penelitianini adalah untuk mengembangkan produk perangkat pembelajaran matematika yang berorientasi pada model problem based learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan untuk siswa kelas 11 SMA YPK Medan diantaranya RPP, Buku Siswa, LKS dan instrumen tes pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model 4D Thiagarajan, Semmel dan Semmel. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 11. Validasi perangkat pembelajaran berdasarkan pada pendapat para validator, praktiki yang telah sukses membuat perangkat pembelajaran, respon para guru serta siswa. Efektifitas dianalisis berdasarkan: (1) ketuntasan minimum kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa; (2) kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran; dan (3) Keaktifan aktivitas siswa. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran matematika berorientasi pada model problem based learning  yang dikembangkan telah valid, praktis dan efektif. The aims of this study were to develop a product in the form of mathematics learning devices based on problem based learning model to improve the mathematics problem solving student’s ability. The materials developed were for 11th grade students of SMA YPK Medan, it consists of: lesson plan, student’s works sheet, student’s textbook and tes learning outcomes. This research was a research development with the reference Four-D model by Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel. Subjects in this study were 11th grade student’s. Learning devices validation based on the opinion of the validator, practicality based on the succesfull of learning equipment, the responses of teachers and students. Effectiveness is based on: (1) a minimum completeness mathematics problem solving student’s ability; (2) the ability of teachers to manage learnings; and (3) active activity of students. The result showed that the learning devices-aided model of problem based learning been valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This community service was carried out in the form of a workshop on utilization of SPSS learning media in mathematics learning for vocational high school students in SMK PAB 12 Saentis, Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang, North Sumatera. The target of this service are: 1) to increase students understanding of SPSS learning media in mathematics learning; 2) to improve students' skill in using SPSS learning media; 3) to increase students' knowledge about statistic learning which has an impact of increasing students' statistical skill; and 4) to increase students' motivation and enthusiasm in mathematic learning use SPSS learning media. This method of this community service is carried out in four stages. The first stage is the preparation for software installation. The second stage is the phase of the workshop which filled with tutorials on using SPSS until utilization of SPSS in solving statistic problem. The third stage is workshop method which includes simulation of carried out directly by participants' workshop. The fourth stage is evaluation and giving motivation. The result of this community service activities are as follows: 1) students understand about how to use SPSS in mathematics learning; 2) students are able to use SPSS learning media to solve statistic problem; and 3) students are able to use an active and interactive SPSS learning media until they can improve their statistic skill

Abstract

Objectives The ability to solve problems is to gain knowledge and motivation in the problem solving process of students. The researcher used the IMPROVE and OSBORN learning models to improve problem solving skills. The IMPROVE and OSBORN learning models emphasize the development of optimal mathematical skills and generate new ideas in the process of problem solving. This research is used to see the impact of the IMPROVE learning model and OSBORN learning model which is better in mathematical problem solving abilities. This research uses the Quasy Experimental Design method. Hypothesis testing uses an independent sample test. The conclusion of the study is the mathematical problem solving ability of students who use the IMPROVE learning model is better than the mathematical problem solving abilities of students who use the OSBORN learning model.

Abstract

This research was a research development with the reference Four-D model by Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel. Subject in this study were eleventh grade students in SMA YPK Medan. Student worksheets validation based on the opinion of the validator from lecturer and mathematics teacher. The practically of student worksheets was analyzed based on: (1) implementation of the used students worksheets in learning process; (2) student’s responses to worksheets developed; and (3) teacher’s responses to worksheets developed. The effectivenees of students worksheets was analyzed based on: (1) a minimum completeness mathematics student’s ability; (2) the ability of teachers to manage learning; and (3) student’s activity in learning process. The result showed that student worksheets used local-culture problem based learning in mathematics learning has been valid, practice and effective.

Abstract

Latar Belakang dan tujuan: Program Pengabdian Masyarakat tentang Peningkatan Kemampuan Guru Dalam Pembelajaran Daring Menggunakan Google Classroom ini bertujuan bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan peran guru sebagai pembelajar sejati dalam memberikan materi pembelajaran secara daring menggunakan google classroom. Mitra pada program Pengabdian ini adalah Sekolah Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Al Munadi yang berlokasi di Gg. Tribakti, Tanah Enam Ratus, Kec. Medan Marelan, Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara. Permasalahan yang ditemukan para guru sering mengalami kesulitan dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran secara daring dikarenakan masih minimnya pengetahuan guru dalam pemanfaatan tekhnologi berupa media pembelajaran daring salah satunya menggunakan google classroom. Kondisi ini menjadikan peserta didik, tidak maksimal memperoleh pembelajaran dari Guru dan cenderung waktu yang dimiliki peserta didik yang berada di usia sekolah dasar lebih banyak terbuang untuk ber santai dan bermain, bukan belajar karena kegiatan dilakukan dirumah dan materi belajar sangat minim. Metode: Tim pelaksana Pengabdian melakukan kegiatan survey, observasi, dan wawancara untuk mengumpulkan data awal. Kemudian pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian dilakuan melalui kegiatan pelatihan, edukasi dan penyampaian informasi berupa pelatihan penggunaan google classroom untuk pembelajaran daring. Semua fitur yang ada di Google Classroom diajarkan kepada guru melalui kegiatan pelatihan tersebut. Hasil dari kegiatan  adalah tim pengabdian memperhatikan dan mendapingi guru peserta pelatihan dihari pelaksanaan kegiatan, mengarahkan dan membantu guru sebagai peserta pelatihan untuk mengikuti arahan dari narasumber. Materi pelatihan yang diampaikan terkait google classroom adalah: Mengelola kelas dengan menggunakan google classroom, Membuat Kelas di Google Classroom, Mengundang Murid masuk ke kelas, menyampaikan materi di google classroom, melakukan komunikasi dengan murid melalui google classroom, menyampaikan materi dalam bentuk file, video, dan link kepada murid melalui google classroom, membuat soal ujian, kuis dan tugas di google classroom serta melakukan tatap muka langsung menggunakan google meet.Kesimpulan: Peningkatan Kemampuan Guru Dalam Pembelajaran Daring Menggunakan Google Classroom di SDIT Al Munadi Medan kini telah tercapai melalui pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan dengan Tanggapan positif dan pemahaman guru terhadap materi yang disampaikan mencapai rerata 91,94% dari 35 peserta guru yang hadir mengikuti pelatihan.

Abstract

Statistical reasoning skills are an essential ability for students to develop so that the solving of statistical problems can be solved optimally and adequately. Students can improve their statistical reasoning skills by using learning that gives them new experiences and teaches them how to utilize proper statistical analysis to address statistical challenges in student science research. One of the learning models recommended in this study is the flipped classroom model. Flipped classroom model is a learning model that combines two learning conditions, namely conditions in the classroom and conditions outside the school. Flipped classroom models are also effectively used in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Learning that combines two learning conditions can maximize learning effectiveness even if implemented in the phase of technology-based distance learning. The implementation of flipped classroom model is also effective if integrated with supporting learning media, namely SPSS and STATCAL applications. Based on this, the purpose of this study is to see the improvement of students' statistical reasoning skills in statistical learning taught using flipped classroom models based on SPSS and STATCAL. This research is a quasi-experimental study with the type of pretest-posttest control group design. The sample of this study is a 2nd-grade student at the University of The Main Potential. Homogeneous and normally distributed research data was further tested using the T-Independent Sample T-Test hypothesis test. The results showed that students' statistical reasoning abilities improved, and the SPSS and STATCAL-based classroom flipped models proved effective in enhancing students' statistical reasoning abilities

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) bertujuan untuk (1) memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan pengembangan e-modul berbasis EPUB3 SIGIL untuk meningkatkan kemampuan techno-pedagogical guru sekolah menengah, dan (2) meningkatkan kemampuan guru sekolah menengah dalam menggunakan bahan ajar digital selama pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) berbasis teknologi di masa New Normal. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan dengan 3 cara, yakni workshop, demonstrasi dan pendampingan. Peserta kegiatan PKM berjumlah 24 orang guru yang terdiri dari guru sekolah menengah pertama dan guru sekolah menengah atas. Evaluasi kegiatan PKM dilakukan melalui angket/kuisioner yang diberikan sebelum dan setelah kegiatan PKM dilaksanakan. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif deskriptif. Hasil yang diperoleh diantaranya (1) terdapat peningkatan pemahaman guru sekolah menengah terkait bahan ajar digital (e-modul) dan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi sebesar 68,11% (kategori baik); dan (2) terdapat peningkatan keterampilan guru sekolah menengah dalam mengembangkan e-modul berbasis EPUB3 SIGIl sebesar 69,30% (kategori baik). Abstract: The Community Partnership Program (PKM) aims to (1) enhance secondary school teachers' techno-pedagogical capabilities by providing training and mentoring on the creation of EPUB3 SIGIL-based e-modules, and (2) improve secondary teachers' ability to use digital teaching materials during technology-based distance learning (PJJ) in the New Normal period. Workshops, demonstration and mentoring are the three methods used to carry out activities. There were 24 teachers in all, with junior high and senior high school teachers among them. PKM activities are evaluated using questionnaires provided before and after they are carried out.The data is analyzed descriptive qualitatively. The results include (1) Secondary teachers' comprehension of digital teaching materials (e-modules) and learning based on technology improved by 68,11% (good category); and (2) secondary teachers' skills in designing EPUB3 SIGIl-based e-modules improved by 69,30% (good category).

Abstract

Abstrak: Masa pandemik COVID-19 mengharuskan pembelajaran daring. Masalahnya bencana yang datang tiba-tiba menyebabkan guru-guru SD Darul Ilmi Murni kurang memiliki persiapan untuk mengatasi pembelajaran daring. Untuk itu kegiatan PKM dilaksanakan berupa workshop mengenai aplikasi Google Classroom kepada guru-guru SD Swasta Darul Ilmi Murni yang bertujuan untuk membantu guru membuat pembelajaran daring efektif dimasa pandemik COVID-19. Banyak peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan PKM ini adalah 15 orang guru dari SD Swasta Darul Ilmi Murni. Dari hasil test evaluasi praktek penerapan aplikasi Google Classroom diperoleh 85% guru berhasil membuat pembelajaran daring efektif menggunakan aplikasi google classroom. Guru-guru memiliki keterampilan untuk mengelola pembelajaran daring menggunakan Google Classroom. Prestasi siswa meningkat setelah guru menerapkan Google Classroom pada pembelajaran daring. Respon siswa, orang tua dan guru sangat baik terhadap media pembelajaran daring Google Classroom.Abstract:  The period of the COVID-19 pandemic requires online learning. The problem is that the sudden disaster caused the teachers of primary school Darul Ilmi Murni to be less prepared to handle online learning. For this reason, PKM activities are carried out in the form of workshops on the Google Classroom application for teachers of Darul Ilmi Murni Primary School which aims to help teachers make online learning effective during the COVID-19 pandemic. The number of participants participating in this activity was 15 teachers. From the results of the test evaluation of the practice of implementing the Google Classroom application, it was found that 85% of teachers succeeded in making online learning effective using the google classroom application. Teachers have the skills to manage online learning using Google Classroom. Student achievement increased after the teacher implemented Google Classroom in online learning. Student, parent and teacher responses are very good to Google Classroom online learning media.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the mathematical problem-solving ability and characters of students who were taught using problem-based learning and ordinary learning based on Islamic perspectives. The instrument used in this study was a test of problem-solving ability and a students’ character questionnaire. This research was a quasi-experimental research with pre-test and post-test control group design. The sample of this research was 84 students from Private Islamic School in Medan, North Sumatera, by using a purposive sampling technique. The data in this research was declared homogenous and normal after being tested using the Levene’s Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test. The hypothesis analyzes used was the Two Way-ANOVA test assisted by SPSS 25. The result showed that there was an improvement in mathematical problem-solving ability and students' characters through problem-based learning based on Islamic perspectives. However, there was no interaction between students' gender and problem-solving ability and character improvement based on Islamic perspectives. The gender factor in problem-based learning was not related to students’ cognitive and affective aspects. Each student with any gender had difference characters, especially related to Islamic perspectives. This research-proven that problem-based learning model had an important role in teaching and learning, and it can be used to improve students' mathematical and character problem-solving ability.
