Abstract

This study discusses about the causative factors of lack in mastering Indonesian vocabulary at SMA Trisakti Baturaja OKU. Population and sample in this study was class X consist of 14 students, class XI consist of 17 students and class XII consist of 25 students, total 56 students. The method of this study was descriptive method. The author used questionnaire and interview in collecting the data. Based on the result of data analysis from questionnaire, 50% students like vocabulary of common words, 65.38% most of the students get the reading material from the school library, 55.78% mostly think vocabulary items rather easy to understand by the students, 80.77% students difficulty in understanding the material of vocabulary was not able to follow the lesson, 86.54% most of the students listen attentively, 44.23% of students were not difficult to receive lesson when teacher explained the material, 71.15% most of students difficult in understanding the vocabulary material because of teachers explanation was too quick and fast, 78.5% students were happy with the way teachers teach, 40.38% students sometimes read books related to Indonesian vocabulary, 46.15% sometimes teacher explain the material given not understand yet, from the result of interview with teacher it can be concluded that teacher giving material based on Indonesian textbooks and school library.

Abstract

This research will discuss about the speed of reading with the method of eye movement on the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 79 OKU. This study aims to improve the speed of reading the the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 79 OKU by using the method of eye movement. This research is expected to be useful theoretically, the results of this study can provide an overview of efforts to increase the speed of reading with the method of eye movements on the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 79 OKU. In practice the reults of this study are expected to be useful for students, Indonesian language teachers. The method used ini this classroom action research is an experimental method. Data collection techniques used are observation and test, and data analysis technique with T test. Based on the results of this study concluded that the aplication of eye movement methods on subjects can improve student learning outcomes the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 79 OKU. This is marked by increasing the average value of student learning outcomes. The average increase of student learning outcomes in the pre cycle, that is 65,18 to 69,54 in cycle 1. 71,96 in cycle 2 end 74,47 in cycle 3. Thus the target is reached.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran langsung terhadap Kemampuan siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 23 OKU mengubah teks wawancara menjadi karangan narasi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif, Selanjutnya metode penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 23 OKU sebanyak 163 siswa, jumlah sampel 30 siswa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan tehnik simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes esai. Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik dengan rumus uji-t (t-test). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 23 OKU mengubah teks wawancara menjadi karangan narasi sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung mendapat kategori kurang mampu dengan nilai rata-rata 44,16. Kemudian, setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran langsung mendapat kategori sangat baik dengan nilai rata-rata 89,16. Pada taraf signifikan 5% diperoleh t tabel 2,04 dan t hitung 5.38. Dalam hal ini menjukan bahwa t hitung (5.38) lebih besar dibandingkan dengan t tabel. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji t, terbukti “t” harga kritik “t tabel” (“t” lebih besar dari harga kriti “t tabel”). Dengan demikian, hipotesis yang dikemukakan yaitu “Model pembelajaran langsung efektif digunakan oleh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 23 OKU dalam pembelajaran mengubah teks wawancara menjadi karangan narasi”. Artinya model pembelajaran langsung baik digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas VII SMP Negeri 23 OKU. Dengan demikian target peneliti telah tercapai. Oleh sebab itu, disarankan agar ada usaha peneliti lebih lanjut dengan menjadikan penelitian ini sebagai bahan perbandingan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop writing skills module teaching materials. The development model used in this research is the research and development model. The approach taken is mix methods research that combines qualitative and quantitative methods. The development model applied is that proposed by Jolly and Bolitho (in Tomlinson, (1998), Dick, Carey, and Carey (2005) and Tessmer (1998), The researcher collaborates with Dick, Carey, and Carey's model with Tessmer's evaluation model. The Tessmer model has five evaluation stages, namely the following self evaluation, expert reviews, one-to-one, small group and field test. The more often a product is evaluated, the more interesting the results will be, with the collaboration of these two models, it is hoped that it can produce a module that is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) to describe the ability of class XI students to write a novel review "He is my brother" by Tere Liye, (2) to determine the factors that influence the difficulties of class XI students in writing novel reviews. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The method used is descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of written tests and questionnaires. From the results of the study, students who scored 80-10 were 2 people (8.69%) in the "Very Good" category, students who scored 66-79 were 10 people (43.47%) with "Good Category", students 11 people (47.82%) scored 56-65 in the "Enough" category. Furthermore, based on the analysis of the questionnaire data, it is known that the factors that influence the difficulty of students writing novel reviews are (1) there are still many students who are not interested in taking novel review writing lessons, (2) students are quite difficult to describe in the title, book data, introduction, body. proper reviews and closings, (3) students still need a lot of examples of review material to make it easier to write novel reviews, (4) students do not often write novel reviews apart from the assignments given by the teacher at school.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertempat di Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, FKIP Universitas Baturaja. Judul materi yang dibawakan adalah Pelatihan Langkah-langkah Pembuatan Bahan Ajar Calon Guru di Program Studi PBSI FKIP Universitas Baturaja. Judul materi yang dibawakan adalah Pelatihan Langkah-langkah Pembuatan Bahan Ajar Calon Guru di Program Studi PBSI FKIP Universitas Baturaja. Permasalahan mitra dalam penyuluhan ini adalah sebagai berikut: mahasiswa kesulitan menemukan bahan ajar yang sesuai dan kontekstual untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, minat mahasiswa dalam menyusun dan mengembangkan bahan ajar di Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, FKIP Universitas Baturaja sangat tinggi Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan kepada mahasiswa tentang proses penyusunan bahan ajar, memberikan pemahaman, himbauan dan sosialisasi tentang penyusunan bahan ajar. Di sisi lain, solusi yang ditawarkan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra secara sistematis sesuai dengan prioritas permasalahan di Program Studi Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, FKIP, Universitas Baturaja adalah memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan terkait penyiapan bahan ajar dengan baik dan benar.
