Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran SFE terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, aktivitas dan motivasi belajar siswa saat pembelajaran dengan model SFE pada materi aljabar kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Singkawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Quasi Eksperimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Singkawang yang terdiri dari empat kelas yang berjumlah 90 siswa. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Adapun sampel yang dipilih terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas VIIID sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIIA sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis menunjukkan: 1) adanya perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa antara kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran SFE dengan kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung; 2) pengaruh model pembelajaran SFE terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa tergolong tinggi; 3) aktivitas belajar siswa secara keseluruhan sangat aktif; 4) motivasi belajar siswa dikategorikan tinggi.

Abstract

The purpose of this public service activity is to provide information and knowledge to people in the border areas of the electoral procedure in 2019 which will be held in April 2019. Abstract

The activities dedicated to the community for environmental management and empowerment of communities through the development of tourism potential are implemented by partnering up the PKK suport team, the domestic chairman and the weal community.  It aims to give understanding, khowledge, and empower societies to realize a society conscious of a tourist environment that must be maintained and preserved.  These environmental management and community empowerment activities are done by methods of speech, discussion, question-and-answer, and demonstration. The benefits of this activity includes; (1) Together people build tourist areas (2) It grows and increases people’s sense of and cares for the beautiful of Batu Burung, (3) To encourage people to participate in the preservation of Batu Burung,  (4) Assisting the goverment program to promote tourist areas aspecially Batu Burung sites that are still not widely known by outside Sedau society, and (5) provides services that can enable visitors to know where Batu Burung is located and provide products fo garbage diposal on Batu Burung Beach..

Abstract

Along with the times, food has also experienced a significant development. Starting from a variety of processed foods, which can be served in various new forms and variations. During the growth period, children usually prefer snacks as snacks compared to eating healthy foods such as vegetables and fruits. Snacks that are developing today contain more colorful foods and contain harmful substances. The purpose of this socialization is so that children pay more attention to the snacks they consume. The method used is the first survey, the second choosing the location of service, the third collection of materials/materials, the fourth preparation of the material, the fifth meeting with the school wedding, the sixth implementation of the activity, the seventh documentation and the eighth activity reporting. The results obtained are that the implementation of the service carried out in Gersik Village, Jagoi Babang District, Bengkayang Regency went well and ran smoothly, which can be seen from the enthusiasm of the children when participating in the activities and indications that students have experienced an increased understanding of healthy snacks.

Abstract

Dedication to the society is done in the form of socialization awareness of the dangers of drugs among students. This activity aims to provide understanding and knowledge of the dangers of drugs, in order to be able to avoid the abuse of drugs. This activity also aims to foster a healthy culture from an early age. The importance of growing a healthy culture among drug-free adolescents. Subjects of dedication to society activities are  the students grade VI in the 66 East Singkawang national School which amounted to 21 students. The socialization and mentoring activities were conducted by lecture, demonstration, discussion and practice with question and answer. Availability of adequate expert in providing socialization, the enthusiasm of the participants, support by goverment, RT and RW to the implementation of activities and financial support from STKIP Singkawan is a supporter of this dedication activity. Benefits to be gained by participants of this dedication activity is with these activities can provide awareness to students about the dangers of drugs. This socialization activity also can giving an understanding of the importance of healthy culture from an early age.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran problem soving untuk dapat melihat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol, dan untuk melihat keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran problem solving dalam pembelajaran di kelas VII MTs Ushuluddin Singkawang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan Pretest-Posttest  Control Design. Adapun yang menjadi kelas sampel adalah kelas VII D sebagai kelas ekperimen dan kelas VII E sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan teknik  probability sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan soal kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan lembar observasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran problem solving dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada materi himpunan di kelas VII MTs Ushuluddin Singkawang. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa yang diberi pembelajaran model problem solving dengan siswa yang diberi pembelajaran yang konvensional, serta model problem solving  terlaksana sangat baik dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan persentase 87,61% untuk pertemuan pertama dan  92,28% untuk pertemuan kedua.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the problem of mathematical vocabulary as the main issues of mathematics education. Through library research with literature review and interviews with several mathematics teachers, data obtained are relevant to the purpose of the study. Descriptively, the data collected from the results of interviews with the teacher regarding his textbook for teaching were analyzed by interactive models. The results showed that the mathematical vocabulary was not yet the basis of school mathematics learning, because the textbooks he used lacked the mathematical vocabulary and were directly used for teaching.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze; 1) the level of problem-solving ability of ethnic Chinese students; 2) the level of problem-solving ability of ethnic Malay students; 3) Students' problem-solving abilities based on the type of questions; 4) Differences in problem-solving abilities of ethnic Malay and Chinese students. This research method uses qualitative research. Students of ethnic Malay and ethnic Chinese class VIII at SMPN 1 Singkawang are the samples of this study. The problem-solving ability test was used as a research instrument. The data analysis technique uses an interactive (qualitative) model, namely by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded; 1) The problem-solving ability of ethnic Chinese students on social arithmetic material is in the medium criteria; 2) The problem-solving ability of ethnic Malay students on social arithmetic material is in the medium criteria; 3) Based on the type of question, ethnic Malay and Chinese ethnic students are more able to work on question 1 than questions number 2 and 3; 4) there is no significant difference between ethnic Chinese and ethnic Malay students in their problem-solving abilities. Overall, the findings in this study indicate that there is no difference in problem-solving abilities between ethnic Chinese and ethnic Malay students. However, the indicator determines the plan: writing the formula that will be used in answering the questions of ethnic Malay students is superior to ethnic Chinese students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas model Problem Posing untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Singkawang pada materi Teorema Pythagoras. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Eksperimental Desaign dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Desaign. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Singkawang dan ditentukan dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Sebelum soal diberikan kepada siswa, soal terlebih dahulu di uji validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda dan tingkat kesukarannya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang diperoleh yaitu 1) kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa mencapai KKM yaitu 70 secara individual maupun klasikal pada materi Teorema Pythagoras yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model Problem Posing. 2) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yaitu  t hitung > t tabel11, 8 > 2,00 yang diajarkan menggunakan model Problem Posing dengan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung pada materi teorema Pythagoras. 3) aktivitas belajar siswa tinggi sebesar 86,71% pada materi teorema Pythagoras dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Posing. 4) motivasi belajar siswa tinggi sebesar 74,17 pada materi teorema Pythagoras dengan menggunkaan model pembelajaran Problem Posing.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, persentase dari masing-masing indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan faktor yang mempengaruhi kesalahan dalam penyelesaian soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 3 Singkawang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan bentuk deskriptif. Pengambilan data menggunakan tes wawancara dan tes uraian yang disesuaikan dengan indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan telah diuji validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu 1) tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelompok atas adalah tinggi sebesar 81, siswa kelompok tengah adalah sedang sebesar 64 dan siswa kelompok bawah adalah sangat rendah sebesar 49 2) persentase masing-masing indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada indikator pertama yaitu memahami masalah sebesar 76,79, indikator kedua yaitu menyusun rencana penyelesaian sebesar 46,43, indikator ketiga yaitu melaksanakan penyelesaian rencana sebesar 30,36 dan indikator keempat yaitu memeriksa kembali sebesar 5,36, 3) faktor yang membuat siswa tidak dapat menjawab soal diantaranya adalah masih lemahnya pengetahuan siswa dalam materi pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel, ini dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis tes yang diambil dari data tabel analisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Siswa cenderung langsung menjawab soal tanpa melaksanakan keempat indikator yang diberikan pada tiap soal.
