Abstract

Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang district, which is integrated with the tombs of the founders of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and national heroes, is increasingly visited by pilgrims since KH. Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) died and was buried there. The arrival of the pilgrims was in addition to a form of homage to the scholars of the founders of Nadhlatul Ulama (NU), also to pray. This motivation is typical in pilgrimage tours. Gus Dur’s grave deserves to be designated as an icon of Jombang district tourism. As a pilgrimage tourist destination, the iconic tomb complex with Gus Dur’s Tomb has several advantages to be designated as Jombang tourism icons which are then expected to provide added value for Jombang district. This article is conceptual paper, giving a review of Gus Dur’s grave designation as an icon of Jombang tourism. The research approach is qualitatively descriptive, where primary data sources are obtained from data collection through interviews and supported by the observation process. Secondary data sources are carried out through the study of related literature. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the chances of Gus Dur’s grave becoming an icon of Jombang tourism? The conclusion of this study is that the tomb of Gus Dur is appropriate to be used as an icon of Jombang tourism, with consideration, first, the tomb of Gus Dur have an advantage as a heritage area that has high historical value, and is strategically significant for the progress of Jombang tourism in particular. Second, the geographical location of Gus Dur’s tomb which became one area with Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, also higher education, and the National Islamic Museum K.H. Hasyim Asy’ari in one area will focus the relevant government agencies to carry out development programs as a follow-up to iconic tourism designation. Third, the Tomb of Gus Dur is important area in the establishment of NU, which is expected to have a positive impact on the surrounding area when arranged in such a way. Fourth, in terms of tourism components, Gus Dur’s Grave has complete appeal, good accessibility, existing facilities but needs to be developed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence the career choice decisions of Ciputra University Hotel and Tourism Business students. This type of research used quantitative research. The population applied is the alumni of Ciputra University students class 2011-2015. The sample taken was only student alumni of the 2013-2015 class, because the three generations were included in the Generation Z class. The total sample was 65 respondents with the type of work as an intrapreneur. The data were collected using a questionnaire measured by a Likert scale. This study used confirmatory factor analysis with the help of SPSS 26 and processed 16 existing variables. The data test used is validity test, reliability test, and factor analysis. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that there are 4 factors that influence the career choice decisions of Hotel and Tourism Business students, namely factors of working conditions and environment, prospects and duration of work, intrinsic value and work contribution, conditions and flexibility of working time. For further research using the same theme, it is recommended to reconsider other influencing factors such as adding other variables so that the research will be better.Keywords: Career Selection Decisions, Generation Z, Factor Analysis

Abstract

Abstarct. The problems faced by the Mendiro village community are the function of protected forests, hunting of birds, timber theft / bamboo shoots, river pollution, logging in springs and the transfer of land ownership owned by people outside Wonosalam. The purpose of community service is to provide knowledge and skills to the hamlet of Mendiro Village and Panglungan Village to create a village of residence to become an ecotourism village. Over time, found collaboration of agro-tourism products which is the development of the potential that exists in the field. Service is carried out using participatory counseling methods followed by demonstrations and practices. The training activities are carried out intensively from February to August 2018 at the Panglungan Village Hall and at the residents' houses which are used as Tourist Information Centers. The activity begins with the provision of materials on the principles of ecotourism and community-based tourism, and is continued with comprehensive material to create an ecotourism village, starting with the provision of local culinary delights to making homestays. The conclusion of this dedication activity shows that the residents have high motivation to make their home village become an ecotourism village in order to overcome a number of problems listed above. Keywords: ecotourism, agro-tourism, community-based tourism  Abstrak. Masalah yang dihadapi masyarakat Desa Mendiro adalah fungsi hutan lindung, perburuan burung satwa, pencurian kayu/rebung, pencemaran sungai, penebangan di area mata air dan alih kepemilikan lahan milik orang di luar Wonosalam. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah untuk memberi pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada masyarakat Dusun Mendiro dan Desa Panglungan untuk menciptakan desa tempat tinggal menjadi desa ekowisata. Pengabdian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penyuluhan partisipatif yang diikuti dengan demonstrasi dan praktik. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan secara intensif sejak bulan Februari sampai Agustus 2018 bertempat di Balai Desa Panglungan dan di rumah warga yang dijadikan Tourist Information Centre. Kegiatan diawali dengan pemberian materi tentang prinsip-prinsip ekowisata dan pariwisata berbasis masyarakat, dan dilanjutkan dengan materi yang komprehensif untuk menciptakan desa ekowisata, mulai penyediaan kuliner lokal hingga pembuatan homestay. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa para warga memiliki motivasi yang tinggi untuk menjadikan desa tempat tinggal mereka menjadi desa ekowisata guna mengatasi sejumlah permasalahan yang tertera di atas. Kata kunci: Ekowisata, Pariwisata Berbasis Masyarakat

Abstract

The growth of high-rise buildings in East Java is increasing rapidly. High-rise building which has stood for a long time have to compete with the new high-rise building in improving occupancy and resale value of the asset. Maintenance and facility management are important key factors in improving occupancy and the sale value of the asset. The diversity of the success rate of high-rise building in the competition is determined by the ability of the property manager or general manager in planning and effective implementation of his or her maintenance programs, and financial, technical, resources management, and leadership to the team. The sharpness intuition which property manager or general manager have in seeing opportunities and market direction of high-rise buildings become a supporting but important factor, where the mindset of entrepreneurship is taking the part in.This is justified by the recognition of practitioners and experts are now actively working in the field of building management in the interview (descriptive) and recorded in a questionnaire that can be measured by a percentage (quantitative), as result entirely agree that standardization competence, educational background and the lack of entrepreneurship mindset the only cause and needs to be invested to improve the competitiveness of a building practitioners, especially now we are facing the Asean Economic Community (AEC). Key words: entrepreneurship, standardization, competency, building, highrise

Abstract

Financial literacy is an important factor in improving people's economic welfare. When a person's financial literacy is high, it is certain that the quality of life and welfare will also increase. This can happen because of the higher one's financial literacy, the better one's financial behavior. Students are the driving force of the nation's economy because students have the largest population, character, and literacy level. However, students are also faced with various very complex financial problems because some students still do not have their own source of income while the level of student needs is high. For this reason, students need to gain more knowledge about financial literacy through financial management learning models in their courses. This was done by the Hotel & Tourism Business study program at Ciputra University, Surabaya batch 2019 and 2020. However, in the process, it is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of whether teaching changes the financial behavior of students. We used linear regression analysis to process the data in this study. Based on the description above, this study aims to find the effect of financial literacy on financial behavior with financial management teaching as a moderation. The results of this study indicate that there are significant differences in perceptions related to financial behavior between someone who has high and low financial literacy, while the teaching of financial management has a positive effect in moderating the relationship between financial literacy and financial behavior but is not significant.

Abstract

Abstract Types of receipts at hotels can be divided into cash receipts and receivables where guests who come can come from individuals and companies. Cash payments can also be through bank transfers from a savings account or through a credit card. The continuity of the hotel business is very dependent on the smooth reception of all guests. The challenge occurs when the receivables are due but there is no repayment, or only partial payment is paid so that the Account Receivable plays a very important role in the smooth flow of cash and a review of the receiveable account function is needed for the smooth flow of cash at the Fairfield by Marriott Hotel Surabaya. Using a simple philosophy of phenomenology that is descriptive, three informants from the finance department were determined through in-depth interviews and researcher involvement during the apprenticeship process, the results of which were triangulated with theories on which thinking was based. It was found that the reality on the ground in accordance with the existing theory is that receivable accounts can convert hotel receivables into cash which is an important source of revenue and can be used for operational costs for hotels. If the hotel finances begin to be unhealthy, then it is because there are problems with financial performance, and if this happens continuously the hotel will bear the possibility of losses. The receiveable account section should pay special attention to preparing a billing schedule, making provisions for payments, and providing an assessment of the debtor so that management can determine further strategic steps in maintaining the financial health condition of the company.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the performance of hotel housekeeper professionalism and entrepreneurial action. The research method used a qualitative approach. Data were collected using interviews and observations. For data analysis, the present study used the technique of Miles and Huberman (1994). This study found that entrepreneurial action from hotel housekeepers was identified by a number of attributes such as passion, open mindedness to change, teamoriented attitude, competence and ability towards housekeeping, interpersonal skills, ability to control personal emotions, professional ethics, leadership spirit and perfectionist.

Abstract

Traveling not only creates fun for tourists. Tourism activities are believed to also improving human resources ability. It is a significant aspect related to human resource capacity that soft skills ownership which can be trained to modern travellers through ecotourism activities. This descriptive qualitative study describes soft skills trained to tourists from among younger generation in ecotourism destinations. Statement of the problem in this research is what is the relevance between ecotourism and soft skill ownership? This study identifies soft skills trained in ecotourism activities that are interpersonal skills characterized by communication skills, like others, have empathy and concern, warm, forgiving, open, adaptive and self-control abilities. The interpersonal skills that are part of this soft skill are believed to be important and will help younger generation to succeed in living their lives.

Abstract

Often a business that has been based on a Business Contract creates a dispute by the parties. Business law disputes do not only include civil disputes but can turn to criminal law. This is also what has been complained about and experienced by several entrepreneurs who are members of the Malang Raya Entrepreneurs House (RPMR). Therefore, it is very important for people who are involved in the business world to understand the concept of contract law and dispute resolution of business contract law. The methods used by the Service Team are: 1) identifying problems with RPMR members related to business disputes, 2) Legal counseling conducted face-to-face and through radio broadcasts; 3) Legal Assistance by opening a legal consultation post and direct visits to several members of MSMEs; and 4) evaluation of Service Activities. The implementation of this service activity shows that there is an increase in the knowledge and skills of the participants in analyzing business contract disputes, resolving disputes that are being faced, and dealing with and/or preventing actions/things that have the potential to cause business disputes.

Abstract

Literasi keuangan adalah kemampuan manajerial yang penting untuk dimiliki oleh setiap mahasiswa. Universitas Ciputra dengan nilai utama kewirausahaan, juga mengutamakan literasi keuangan sebagai kemampuan yang wajib dikuasai oleh mahasiswa dan lulusannya. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran Manajemen Keuangan pada Program Studi Pariwisata, Universitas Ciputra Surabaya disusun agar dapat mengimplementasikan kegunaan praktis pembelajaran akuntansi dan keuangan di industri pariwisata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas proses pembelajaran Manajemen Keuangan untuk Kepariwisataan di Universitas Ciputra Surabaya. Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui uji coba terbatas pada mata kuliah Manajemen Keuangan untuk Kepariwisataan dengan mengadaptasi model penelitian tindakan kelas oleh Kemmis dan McTaggart yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan (planning), tindakan (action), observasi (observation), dan refleksi (reflection). Proses pembelajaran dibagi menjadi dua siklus, dan pada setiap siklus dilakukan upaya evaluasi dan perbaikan untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran di siklus berikutnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran di mata kuliah Manajemen Keuangan untuk Kepariwisataan telah mencapai target capaian pembelajaran yang ditentukan. Implementasi praktis manajemen keuangan yang diwujudkan dalam bentuk perancangan rencana bisnis berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi keuangan mahasiswa S1 Program Studi Pariwisata angkatan 2020 kelas A di Universitas Ciputra Surabaya. Hasil belajar mahasiswa meningkat yang ditunjukkan dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar mahasiswa mencapai 82,35% pada mata kuliah Manajemen Keuangan untuk Kepariwisataan.
