Abstract

Di Cisarua, Bogor dapat kita temukan turis-turis asing yang berasal dari Timur Tengah yang tinggal sementara maupun menetap. Kehadiran mereka di desa Choblong membuat masyarakat khawatir, karena para turis tersebut juga membawa budaya asli mereka yang mungkin dapat memengaruhi budaya lokal masyarakat. Ternyata masyarakat Choblong yang beragama Islam telah menerapkan kekuatan karakter pada masyarakatnya walaupun mereka tidak menyadari kondisi, hal ini dapat dilihat pada aktivitas keagamaan rutin dan tertentu, seperti pengkajian Al Qur’an. Berdasarkan situasi ini, tujuan artikel ini ditulis adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kearifan lokal yang dimiliki masyarakat dan pendidikan karakter yang mewakili setiap aktivitas.Kata kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, Kearifan Lokal

Abstract

The purpose of this study is describing translation using borrowing strategy in the novel Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer that is translated into Indonesia. Data in this research are quoted and classified based on the strategy which is used by the translator in translating from SL to RL using Borrowing strategy which is stated by Vinay and Darbelnet (2000:84) and Molina and Albir (2002:520). In this research, the writer finds the borrowing strategy which is used by the translator; use two techniques such as: (1) Naturalized Borrowing shows themodification of spelling and/or pronunciation (referred to EYD), (2) applying borrowing without intentionally modification (pure borrowing). Based on the research, the researcher found 330 data. It is concluded that the total number of pure borrowing (115 words/35%) and naturalized borrowing (215 words/65%).Keywords: Translation, Pure and Naturalized Borrowing

Abstract

Tujuan dari resesearch ini adalah untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai dan pembangunan karakter di "Frozen", sebuah film animasi box office yang sangat populer saat ini, terutama di kalangan anak-anak. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan berbasis sastra. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa film ini memiliki beberapa nilai-nilai yang baik yang sesuai dengan pembangunan karakter anak-anak empasized dalam Kurikulum Pendidikan Nasional.Kata Kunci: Nilai-nilai, Pendidikan Karakter, Film.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dan mengembangkan mata kuliah English Phonology sebagai upaya peningkatan mutu pengajaran di lingkungan Unindra. Luaran penelitian ini berupa silabus dan satuan pengajaran mata kuliah English Phonology yang lebih tepat dan efisien karena pengembangannya didasarkan pada analisis kebutuhan yang cermat dari semua pihak terkait di Unindra, khususnya Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen tertulis. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa silabus dan SAP yang digunakan selama ini belum memenuhi standar. Semua unsur yang ada perlu ditinjau kembali, diperbaiki, dan ditingkatkan, seperti materi pokok, metode, dan buku acuan. Termasuk pula mutu soal ujian yang diujikan untuk UTS dan UAS.Kata Kunci: Evaluasi, Pengembangan, English Phonology

Abstract

This activity is a collaboration between the community service team of the University of Indraprasta Graduate School (Unindra) and the Centre for the Development of Educational Competence, Education and Research (P2KPTK2) in West Jakarta. Pkm activities were carried out online through zoom meetings on 1-5 August 2022 and expected to provide insight to low-level elementary school teachers in the work area of P2KPTK2 West Jakarta in terms of the use of innovative learning models in thematic learning in schools. The methods used in this activity are lectures, questions and answers and practice making educational games based on the Internet. After the community service, there is an increase in the value of the post-test results or a change between the lowest, highest, and rare values in general. At the lowest level there is a decrease of 10 points while at the highest there is no increase. The ratio increased by 32.97 points. Generally speaking, the rate of improvement in competence after the community service was 27.45%. The school is expected to provide guidance on the importance of this activity for teachers to improve competence. In addition, teachers should also be aware of the importance of improving themselves through such training to adapt to the demands of the implementation of education in the era of technology as it is now.

Abstract

The research aims at finding out the effects of students’ perception on learning media and self-efficacy towards English learning achievement at Senior High Schools in Depok, finding out the effect of students’ perception on learning media towards English learning achievement at Senior High Schools in Depok, and finding out the effect of students’ self-efficacy towards English learning achievement at Senior High School Students in Depok. This study used survey approach. The population of the study is 530 students, and the sample is 100 students. The analysis uses t test and F test. Based on data analysis, it is found that there is a significant effect of students’ perception on learning media (X1) and self-efficacy jointly towards English learning achievement with Sig.
